i have a counter argument to the 'only one person can boop bill' thing, mabel. she's the type of person to slap stickers on people, she would definitely be the type to also boop others occasionally and bill would be no exception. she probably doesn't do it to annoy bill like dipper would, but maybe as a form of a friendly gesture, kind of like those people who will lightly punch friends in the arm when they hang out.

You know what? Good point. Mabel would get away with more than most, as a fun-loving lady! Bill understands those impulses, and being a touchy person! He indulges in similar ones himself.

Though when Bill's not in the mood to be playful and gets booped anyway? The 'sister-in-law' status grants her considerable grace.

link click s2 is very funny bc its main weakness is its insistence on hiding things from the viewer to the ultimate detriment of the narrative and fully developing the new characters. however the most banger moment of the season was also of course suddenly revealing something cool as hell that was hidden from the viewer until the very end. multitudes!

so lottie obviously has cassandra vibes, but it just hit me that taissa kind of does too

tai, especially in season 1, is the voice of reason. she’s the first to tell laura lee not to fly the plane and she’s the only one to really put up a fight about jackie staying outside. the two biggest deaths of the season, and taissa is the main person trying to prevent both only to be ignored

lottie is the cassandra that comes to be believed (despite her own uncertainty in her visions) while tai is the cassandra that eventually stops speaking out at all (despite her own certainty in her knowledge)

A video like the one posted in the link you provided is going to be controversial because zionists won’t like it and the wording used in the video is unfortunately very easy to make look antisemitic. The section of the video where the speaker started saying “this percentage of Jews think they’re smarter and better than everyone” or whatever does align dangerously with a lot of antisemitic beliefs, so because he didn’t continue to say Israelis or Israeli Jews to speak against this nationalistic culture, it makes it extremely simple for zionists to point to that and spin the entire video as being lies and antisemitic propaganda. That leads to mass-reports against it.

I don’t doubt staff has Zionist sympathizers among them simply because staff is largely if not exclusively American and it is very difficult for people in this country to access accurate information about the Israel Palestine conflict because the government sponsors so much propaganda supporting Israel and against Arabs and Muslims in general, leading to a large amount of Americans drinking the koolaid and believing Israel to be justified. Your conflict resolution doesn't have to be a binary "ignore your own feelings" or "cut them out". Giving and receiving feedback is hard to learn, as it requires actively engaging with someone rather than actively NOT engaging with them, but its so worthwhile.

You know, it's kinda annoying when someone who kins a character acts like anyone who writes fanfic or draws fanart of that character is doing it with them specifically in mind and is entirely incapable of separating the character-as-them from the-character-as-a-fictional-character that everyone else is working with.
