Key Tips for Successful International Freight Shipping: Documentation and Crucial Considerations
International freight shipping can be complicated, especially with big shipments or specific destination rules. At GFFCA, we understand how overwhelming this can be. That’s why we’ve put together essential tips and a detailed guide on important shipping documents. This guide will help you decide if you can manage your own shipments or if it’s better to work with a professional freight shipping company
Understanding the Basics of International Freight Shipping
The landscape of international freight shipping is dynamic, with laws and regulations subject to sudden changes. Whether you’re a seasoned shipper or new to the field, being well-informed about these shifts is crucial. Here, we outline three fundamental aspects to consider:
1. The Importance of Shipping Documentation
Proper documentation is the backbone of successful international freight operations. It not only ensures compliance with global shipping regulations(Custom Clearance) but also helps in preventing potential delays and complications. Key documents include:
Bill of Lading (BOL):
This document lists the goods being shipped, their quantity, and destination. It acts as a receipt and must be signed by the carrier, shipper, and receiver.
Commercial Invoice:
This shows the price and quantity of the goods and is used by Customs for processing your shipment.
Certificate of Origin:
This confirms where the goods were made, which is important for meeting trade regulations.
Carrier Manifest:
This lists all the cargo and is used by Customs to check the shipment.
Proof of Delivery (POD):
This is signed by the receiver to confirm the shipment was delivered and to note any damage or loss.
2. Understanding Country-Specific Regulations and Custom Clearance
Every country has its own rules for importing and exporting goods. Knowing these rules is crucial to avoid problems with your shipments. An experienced shipping company can help you understand what you can and can’t ship to different countries.
3. Choosing the Right Transportation Method
The type of transportation you choose—ocean, air, or land—depends on what you’re shipping, how quickly it needs to get there, and your budget. Talking to a reliable freight forwarder can help you pick the best option for your situation.

When it comes to selling products, first impressions are important. The packaging is not only a customer’s first introduction to your product but also protects it from damage. In addition to properly packing your goods, choosing the right materials is just as important, especially for fragile shipments.

rewatched the update video, read some posts from both people who like and dislike the update, and just finished charlie’s (mo1stcr1tikal) video about watcher. here are my complete thoughts:
Video Execution
i appreciate that they seem to have consulted with a PR person, or at the very least really sat down and thought through their approach with the video.
they didn’t try to boo-hoo themselves.
they used a lot of positive “you language” for the fans (which i very much appreciate as a media and communication person myself)
they took accountability for their mistakes, and actually uttered the word “sorry”. low bar, i know, but many apology videos still somehow slip under the bar.
they very clearly put the focus on ryan and shane in the video. it sucks a bit that they probably felt they had to since much of that was probably due to the negative comments directed at steven, but it WAS a smart move. fans feel most betrayed by the two the majority connect with the most.
it. wasn’t. overproduced. (again, low bar, but it is what it is).
overall thoughts on execution? it was smart. they look uncomfortable, and whether that’s intentional or their true feelings, regardless of why they look so uncomfy, it makes it easier to watch. they don’t look pissed or smug. they look embarrassed. which, in an apology video, is a good thing. sorry to say
The Solution
i think they came up with the best alternative they could after royally fucking up with the majority of their fans.
the patreon solution… mixed feelings. i understand they don’t want to just go forward with one or the other: the patreon or the streamer. however, as ive seen some patrons say, it doesn’t make all that much sense to have both logistically. i think it’s only set up this way because they can’t go back entirely on watcher.tv now. good on them for giving a bit of a fix with the codes being sent to patrons.
i was still lost on how they weren’t “advertiser friendly”, and that’s where charlie’s video came in to affirm my suspicions. go watch his video for more information, but long story short: watcher is a GOLD MINE for advertisers. huge and loyal audience, engaging ads that make the viewer want to watch the ad, and an ever-growing channel.
on the back of the last point: how on earth were they struggling with money to begin with? it simply doesn’t make any sense. they had so many revenue streams & again, DO get sponsors and appear to be incredibly brand-friendly.
trust is still lost with most fans, and that will be hard as hell to regain. the ex-buzzfeed three-guys-on-a-couch model didn’t even work when the try guys were fucked over by their friend and brand trust was lost a little bit. and this loss of brand trust is fully on all three dudes on the couch this time
overall thoughts on the solution? it’s good for what they can do now that they obviously cannot just fully backtrack. that would arguably be a worse idea than the original idea for the streaming service itself. i think this would have worked much better and they would have retained integrity if they had done this from the beginning, and/or had a slow rollout instead of jumpscaring us like that. ghost files is supposed to spook us, not surprise paywalls.
Final Thoughts
a ton of trust was lost. the parasocial relationship that specifically shane and ryan fans had with them, that was the REASON for so much of the loyalty, is fractured, and for many it will never be the same as it was. i understand their fuck up when it came to the announcement was likely just them needing more self-awareness and a professional to guide them through it, but i still question how it got to that point where they felt like their fans would enjoy this to begin with. not to mention, again, how were they not making enough? why not try other options first?
i hope sincerely that watcher truly learns from this. that they remember their business isn’t about money or ambition (in a positive or negative way), but is built on the backs of their fans’ loyalty. without that fan loyalty, buzzfeed unsolved would have been the only thing we knew ryan and shane for. we wouldn’t have followed them to a new channel if we didn’t care about them and their work to certain degree.
it was a good apology video. genuinely. i’m glad they didn’t jump into it with a bandaid solution. i just wish they had the foresight to know their fans well enough to understand that there is NO way this would be well received by the majority. and there’s no going back on that now, obviously. what’s past is past. i hope moving forward that they gain a little self-awareness and that they gain some FAN-awareness. until/unless they start working on television and movies, they have to keep their fans happy. we are the consumer, not the employee, and it feels like they started somehow blurring those lines with the original video they posted. it felt like one of the corporate ‘training’ videos for my job when we start using a new system.
fans are important in online spaces, particularly. we provide free advertising for our favorite bloggers/youtubers/etc., and willingly give up money to support them through various streams (in watcher’s case: patreon, merch, live shows). you cannot exist as a creator online and think that you don’t need to keep your fans happy when it is your source of income. it’s simply how being a successful internet personality works, for better or worse.
good job to the watcher boys on how they went about the apology/fix. i hope things go better from here on out.

What makes a military genius
Obi-Wan recognises the most qualified person to lead his battalion is not himself but his commander and acts accordingly.
Could be the same AU as “Not Obi-Wan’s first slave uprising” (where Obi-Wan is presented with a battalion of slave soldiers, says please and thank you, and starts plotting how to take down the slavers).
Jedi are more like diplomats, spies, or special forces, where they have to achieve much with very little. Obi-Wan had learned to use his assets to their fullest, including—and often especially—sentient assets. Or, Obi-Wan recognises the most qualified person to lead his battalion is not himself but his commander, and acts accordingly.
I have this mental image of Obi-Wan meeting his commander and having a discussion, comparing their education and qualifications; recognising that while he’s willing to learn, his learning curve would happen at the expense of the lives of his men; and promptly reassigning duties. Cody ends up with effective command of the 212th; Obi-Wan’s combat role becomes a specialist and his non-combat role a combination of consultant (he does have applicable experience), Republic/Order attaché (slash shield/advocate for his men), and a professional banthashit processor (which allows Cody to do his job as effectively as possible). And that’s how the 212th ends up the most effective battalion in the GAR.
I love the MilitaryGenius!Obi-Wan trope, but soldiers the Jedi are not. This is one solution for how both could be true at the same time (in other words, gimme military genius!Cody). Obi-Wan has the strategic genius to recognise that he has what might be the finest army in the galaxy crippled by poor leadership—and the negotiator’s out of the box genius to figure out a solution for it. His by the book appearance is part an attempt to protect the good thing he has going on and part malicious compliance.
Bonus:
- Obi-Wan in full trooper armour.
- Obi-Wan in full armour is a trooper that doesn’t exist—the “Ghost” of the Ghost Company (i.e. his assigned company).
- I got thinking about different scenarios and when it would be more advantageous to have your Jedi look visibly Jedi for intimidation, distraction, or whatever—and when it would be more advantageous to hide him in plain sight in one of the identical sets of trooper armour. And I thought that if Cody had a Jedi who was willing to let Cody do whatever he wanted with him, that would definitely be one of the uses to make of him. You know, in addition to getting him wear armour, two birds one shot and all that jazz.
- Cody and Obi-Wan also discuss the possibility of making their arrangement public, making it known it’s a clone who’s effectively running the battalion. But for some political osik reason decide no.
- It probably so happens that the finest army in the galaxy is also compromised by the senate’s lengthy decision making process and poor logistics, but that comes later. Although it might already be apparent that some of it will become a problem—soldiers can’t function without support and logistics & I’m pretty sure not all pertinent support was included in the clone order (onboard ship mechanics yes, shipyards no). So you have a fighting force that *on paper* should be easily winning—and when it isn’t, you can blame the Jedi for something they have no power over.
- That being said, we never see what happens to the service corps during the war—they must be pressed into service as support personnel if the whole Order is drafted? So there are Jedi generals (the knights), but also navigators (Exploracorps), healers (MediCorps), supplying & feeding the army (Agricorps), etc. I wonder how much discontent it causes when those services are pressed to war and taken away from the populations they previously serviced? Probably poorer Outer Rim populations, furthering the divide between Core and Outer Rim worlds and pushing more Outer Rim worlds towards the Separatists, worsening the crisis.
- Eventually Obi-Wan’s experience from Melida/Daan comes in handy. Unfortunately, not his experience with leading troops, but his experience with total warfare and breakdown of infrastructure. That’s not something Cody was taught to expect—he was trained with the expectation of at least somewhat functional support. So Cody has a learning curve, but unexpectedly this is something his general knows.

healthcare event day: new lanyards, new enemies -- Pharma would love this shit
had to go to a healthcare conference
they were giving out lavender gin and brie crackers, like astonishingly good snacks and booze (probably because a lot of consultants were present lmao)
everyone got drunk and the hepatologists got mad about it
anyway two docs got in a verbal fight in the hallway which got pretty loud (all I know is that it was an argument about a research project)
you can't tell me Ratchet and Pharma wouldn't be the two docs fighting at the professional event lmao
also they really gave everyone a lot of gin, the tonic seemed to be optional. like straight up shots. you'd think they wouldn't do this at a healthcare thing but I think the organisers were just excited about hosting something in London so they went overboard LOL
I can imagine some event in Iacon going roughly the same way, they want to schmooze with the big city medics so they accidentally-on-purpose get everyone wasted on unreasonably good engex in order to make sure everyone has a good time (this does not work, it only results in pettiness and/or arguing, lmao)
like usually they'll have Prosecco or something served moderately, but this was fucking shots of gin. which is hilarious.
maybe it's because it's Saturday so they felt bad about having everyone show up on a weekend, I have no idea. almost all of us work every weekend anyway lol.
nothing is funnier than watching med professionals get increasingly drunk and somewhat agitated with one another over the course of several hours while still having to pretend to be more or less professional
like you can't cause too much of a scene in the lecture hall, but as soon as everyone's mingling in the reception area, everyone groups into their various specialities and starts WILDLY SHIT TALKING
Pharma would be a shit-talker. Ratchet would be consistently agitated the entire time, and would get into arguments over health service logistics and solutions to staff retention problems, among other things.
First Aid would be the one trying to make sure that nobody from their institution embarrasses themselves too badly in front of anyone from any of the other institutions, in between trying to network with said other institutions.
Ambulon would be three shots of engex deep by the second speaker, but still taking some pretty good notes the whole time while actively avoiding having to speak with anyone else.
Velocity would be extremely nervous but ultimately would raise some good questions during the Q&A session. She would also immediately utilise any stickers in the swag bag to decorate her datapad, but then panic because now she has to shove all the blank sticker papers into her bag since there's no trash receptacle around, which makes it rustle really loudly.
anyway I'm going to take a nap now, I ate a whole fucking block of brie at this thing

Two-Stage Pregnancy (Part 2)
Part 1 Part 2.5 The Whole Story For the first week she spent with her baby's head just barely inside her, Sarah's mind was consumed by all the little inconveniences.
It still felt like there was a bowling ball between her hips - which there pretty much was - and the urge to push never did quite go away. She could feel the head pressing downwards whenever she stood, and she could feel it being pushed back up inside her if she ever sat down wrong. Her bladder capacity was near-zero now, and going to the bathroom was, to put it mildly, a "logistical challenge."
Sex was- Sex was different now. Penetration was off the table. They couldn't even do anal - there just wasn't enough room. That didn't mean they had to stop, though, they just spent a lot more time with their heads between each other's legs. Another thing that changed was her libido. The head of the baby would constantly press on Sarah's clit from the inside, leaving her pent-up and needy after a long day of being teased like that.
"Labor attacks" were another fun feature of her new life. Sarah regularly took labor suppressants to stop her body from going back into labor and trying to give birth too early, but it wasn't a bulletproof solution. Usually these weren't too bad - she would have a few cramps, take another pill, and then wait it out - but occasionally, when they would come on more strongly or stay for longer, she would be left panting and cupping her hand over the head as the contractions intensified her urge to push. The "Survivor's Guide" she received discussed these attacks in detail. It seemed like nearly anything could cause them - standing or walking too much, bending over or squatting, heavy lifting, eating too much, eating too little, stress, dehydration, spicy food - the list went on. The guide also emphasized the importance of taking her medication as soon as possible; this is a slow-acting drug, and it needs as much time as possible to get to work.
A final thing that Sarah had to think about was stopping the head from sliding out whenever she stood up. She had a few options there, none of them very good. She could keep the head in with very tight-fitting, thick underwear, but these were very uncomfortable to wear for long periods of time. For anything more than a quick trip to the store, this wouldn't work. She could simply go without, not wearing any pants at all. At home, Sarah usually did this, simply holding the head in with her hand or sitting with a pillow between her legs. This was quite comfortable, but wasn't a viable solution if she ever had to leave the house. At work, Sarah settled on an unhappy compromise. She did her best to stay sitting throughout the day, and relied on some more normal underwear to keep the head in when she had no other choice. Feeling her baby very slowly slide out whenever she stood up was quite distressing, but she could usually avoid needing to cup her crotch in the middle of the office - people are usually pretty accommodating to the heavily-pregnant, after all.
It was on her way home from work, about a month into her three-month "stage two", that Sarah felt a few contractions. They were light at first, and she wasn't too concerned. She waited for a red light to reach into her purse for her pills. She felt another, a little stronger, as she searched fruitlessly, coming up empty-handed as the light turned green again. FUCK - it hit her like a bolt of lightning. She knew where the pills were - sitting at home. And home was at least half an hour away. The dire warnings of various medical professionals ran through her mind; that these pills should be taken immediately with the onset of contractions, and that the longer she delayed the worse things would get.
Another contraction struck her, and she fumbled for her phone. This was bad, and she needed to let her husband know to get ready. "Hi, honey," she did her best to sound calm.
"Sarah? Is everything okay?" Dave instantly picked up on the note of alarm in her voice.
"No, not really. I left my pills at home."
"Shit." There was only one reason that would be an emergency. "How bad is it?"
"Pretty-nnngh-" Sarah winced as another contraction hit her, stronger than the last. "Pretty bad. They're getting closer together. I was walking around a lot today, too."
"Alright. Just hang in there, get home as soon as possible."
"Yeah. I'll do what I can. Can you get things ready at home? I'll call you when I get close."
"Will do." He hung up.
Not all of the "Survivor's Guide" was equally attention-grabbing, but one part in particular stuck in her mind. At the end of the more mundane tips to help with labor attacks came a section on handling a "worst-case scenario."
"Under no circumstances allow the head to be born," it reads, "if the contractions become more frequent and severe, it might get harder, but there are still ways you can make sure your baby will make it through to the full twelve months."
"The best piece of advice I can give is simple: don't push. Now, that might sound easier said than done right now, but it really is important. Even if it seems like it's impossible, I promise you that it's worth it to hold off as long as you can."
Sarah did her best to follow the guide's advice. When her contractions came, she made use of the breathing she had practiced earlier, pressing the bulging head firmly against the seat of her car. While it was by no means a comfortable state to be in, her efforts did manage to keep the head in place, if only just.
"If you manage to take a pill in the first few minutes of the attack, usually this is all you need; you can probably get through this without pushing at all, and I encourage you to try. However, if this isn't the case, you'll still be just fine. Things might be a little harder, but plenty of mothers have been in your exact position and gotten through this same thing."
Sarah continued to drive as she felt the contractions get more and more frequent. Home wasn't far off now, and she called her husband to let him know. By the time she pulled into the driveway, she was already bearing down a little with each contraction, desperately clenching her legs together to try to keep the head in place.
"If you can't hold off pushing entirely," the guide continues, "try to meet your body halfway. Give little, short pushes while you keep breathing, to try to make it easier to keep the head in. Beyond a certain point, though, it's not really possible to keep the head in through just willpower alone; it's very easy to go just a little too far, and then a lot too far."
Dave came out to meet Sarah's car in the driveway. She had opened the car door, with one leg planted on the ground, when she doubled over with the force of another contraction. With her legs momentarily spread, Sarah was helpless against her body's urges, and started to bear down full-force.
"SHIT-" she cried out "-PUSHING. HELP-" Frozen in place from fear and the force of her own efforts, Sarah felt the head start to surge outwards, her thin panties and work pants wholly inadequate to stop the head on their own. She was alone and pushing out of control for a single, terrifying moment, feeling the head start to spread her wider and wider, totally unable to hold back as she felt her opening start to sting from the stretch.
"FUCK-NNNNG-" She pushed again, and felt the head stretch her more. It burned, GOD it burned, and she couldn't stop and it burned so much and she was pushing and she couldn't stop and she was PUSHING again-
"Shit, baby, I'm here," Dave said, "how can I-"
"Hold it- FUCK- HOLD IT HOLD THE HEAD PLEASE-AAAAAH"
Dave put his hand on the crowning head, and felt it press firmly against him. Sarah was really bearing down; he kept his hand in place until her push had spent itself uselessly and he felt her sag against him in relief. When she caught a breath or two before pushing again, he took the opportunity to slide the head back inside little bit before she pressed it against his hand again. "Good, good, just like that. Let it out. I've got you, just let it out." she would push, and he would keep the head in place, and she would rest, and he would press it a little farther back inside of her.
Soon, Sarah's panties were flat against her crotch, the head peeking out by just a hair. Dave took his hand away and helped her stand on shaky legs. "Come on, let's get you inside."
The Guide continues: "If you're not able to hold back from pushing on your own, you need to find some help; just holding the head in with your hands or keeping your legs together won't cut it anymore. It doesn't matter so much what help you have. It can be some tight, sturdy clothes, a trusted birth partner, or anything so long as you know it won't give out on you if you start pushing full-force."
Sarah did her best to breathe through her contractions and walk with her legs pressed together as Dave helped her to their bedroom. He grabbed the bottle of her pills as he passed, and she took two as soon as she could. Her clothes were soaked in sweat from her earlier ordeal, and she nearly ripped them off in her eagerness to be naked.
She laid down on the bed and instinctively spread her legs open; even without a contraction she could feel how full she was between her hips, how much her body ached for her to bear down and get her baby out. Sarah didn't give in, breathing deeply as she waited for the next contraction and sliding a pillow underneath her hips to help the head stay in a little better.
"Are you doing okay now?" Dave asked.
"Yeah. I was kind of panicked earlier, but it's not so bad now."
"Good. How are you feeling?"
"Like I have to push," Sarah answered, half-jokingly. "Actually, can you-"
"Oh, yeah, of course," Dave moved between her legs to press his hand against the bulging head.
"Nn- Thanks- NNg-" Sarah grunted as she bore down.
"Not 'Too Much' though?"
"No- NNn- not yet at least." Sarah kept pushing against Dave's hand.
"Good. Just let me know if you start to get there."
"Too Much" was something the Guide described. "It's possible," it reads, "to get into real trouble here. With long-enough labor attacks, what some women have reported is a building feeling of desperation. Their body's need to push starts to overwhelm them, and they can lose control of themselves, trying to take off clothing that's holding their baby in or fight against their birth partners. While this is rare, if it happens to you, you could give birth prematurely or injure yourself, your partner, or your baby. It's essential to have a plan in case this happens, a way to keep the head inside you even if you're fighting against it."
Sarah labored on the bed for a little while longer, but soon started to feel restless. Dave drew her a bath, getting up to check the water temperature between her contractions, and the warm water did help her relax at first, but soon it wasn't enough. When she started to actively squirm away from his hand on the head, they both knew it was time.
The Guide recommended they make a plan for the worst-case scenario, and they did. The first part of the plan was a pair of two-sizes-too-small jean shorts; the tight fit and unforgiving fabric would keep the head in no matter how much she pushed. They came with a belt, which could be cinched tight around her hips to help keep them on even if she lost control.
Sarah did her best to hold it together while drying off and getting the shorts on, but it was clear to both of them that this was a losing battle; it took a few tries for Sarah to get her legs close enough together to get them past her knees and she could barely hold it together as Dave helped her with the various fasteners.
"Aaaaaah! Oh my god! I have to push!" Sarah did her best to hold back.
"Almost- Nearly- Okay, there we go," Dave closed the buckle on the belt.
"OH- FU-" Desperate for relief, Sarah immediately dropped into a deep, wide squat. "HHHHn-" Sarah pushed, furiously and silently. Her body had been begging her to give birth for far too long; now that she was finally listening, she had no breath to waste on screaming or yelling. Any sound, motion, or thought that wasn't related to bearing down even harder was halted as Sarah gave everything she had to that instinctual demand to get her baby out.
Sarah pushed again, briefly gasping for air before again giving in to the desperate urges overwhelming her brain. Dave kneeled down in front of her, getting the perfect view of Sarah's denim-clad crotch as the head bulged as much as the fabric would allow. He watched the head press outward the little bit it could when she pushed, and he watched it retreat back inside when she rested.
Sarah's pushes were beautifully useless right now; for all that she was clearly giving every bit of effort she had, it was having exactly no impact. She could push all day just like that and, at the end of it, the head would still be exactly where it is now. Her body, however, was starting to work this out too.
Sarah spread her feet wide and sank down as low as she could get, desperate to open her pelvis every bit she could. She screamed as she bore down, red-faced and frantic. "NN-FUCK- OUT! OUT! INEEDITOUTOHGODAAAAA-" Her scream was cut off as she stood up suddenly, pulling desperately at the waistband of her shorts. "I-NNh-I need-"
Dave caught her hands before she could get any farther. "Shhh, honey, I've got you." He kept her hands together as he led her over to the bed.
"Please. Please." She begged. "Please take them off, I can't-"
"Hey. It's okay." He laid her back down, lifting her hands toward the headboard. "We'll do that real soon, okay?"
The second part of their worst-case scenario plan was a pair of handcuffs. Designed originally for BDSM play, they were padded around the wrists and sturdy enough to stand up to the job at hand.
"Can you lift your hands for me?"
"Mm-hm"
Dave fixed the handcuffs around her wrists, looped through the headboard to keep her hands away from the only thing holding her child inside her. Sarah resisted weakly, but between the cuffs on her wrists and her overactive belly pinning her to the bed there wasn't much she could do.
"Oh god, I really need to push now."
"Then go ahead and push, honey."
"NNn- No, I mean- H-HAAAA-" Sarah's protests were silenced as her body took over, desperately straining but getting nowhere. Her whole body wanted to tense up, to shove downwards at the bowling ball lodged inside of her, and Sarah did her best to give it everything it asked for. She tried again once she regained at least a measure of control.
"AAAAH- No, I mean I need to push it ouuuuut-"
"Push then. Go on."
Before she could even fully process the words, Sarah was bearing down again. Long and intense, each push left her without words, without breath, without any thoughts at all beyond the utterly overwhelming need to get her baby out of her. She flung her legs open as she bore down. Her pelvis ached for every bit of room she could make, but no matter how how far she spread her legs it wasn't enough.
"NNg- GET. OUT. GET. OUT. G-HAAAAH-"
Sarah lifted her hips off the bed, pointing the bulging head nearly straight up in the air. The tendons in her legs already complained, but she ignored the pain, trying to make as much room as possible between her legs to satisfy her animal desire for more room any way she could try to get it.
This, of course, did nothing. Actually, it did less than nothing. The movement of Sarah spreading her legs so wide pulled the shorts tighter against her crotch, pressing the head back inside her even as she pushed. Her body did NOT like that - she practically writhed with how wrong it felt to have the baby move back in when every part of her just wanted it out. She could feel that if she could just close her legs a little, her baby would have that much more room to come out, but, despite all her efforts, it felt as if some invisible force was holding her legs as wide apart as they could go.
Sarah felt reduced to a grunting animal, grunting and moaning as she bore down over and over again, shoving the head against the unyielding barrier over her crotch. Her belly would clamp down almost angrily on the child within, and she would have no choice but to push along with it, straining her utmost to try, somehow, to get the head out of her. No matter how long or how hard she pushed, though, no matter how much she bore down with utter, pathetic desperation, no matter how many times she gave into the overwhelming pressure and screamed and pushed with everything she had, the baby stayed inside her.
Eventually, between growing exhaustion and the effects of her medication, the frantic, desperate energy of Sarah's earlier efforts began to subside, and things started to settle into a routine. She kept pushing whenever she had a contraction - it was still too much to try to hold back - but in between, she could breathe and think and even move around a little.
"How are you feeling now?" Dave asked.
"Fuck, I'm tired. It's not as bad as before but -Nnn- I think I'll be -Hnn- pushing for a while."
"Do you want me to 'help you out?'"
"God, yes. Please."
Dave slid his hand underneath the waistband of Sarah's shorts. He could feel how wet she was - for all that this had been terrifying and uncomfortable, it was clearly not a purely negative experience. It didn't take long at all for her to cum, pent-up from her efforts earlier and desperate for relief.
Sarah came twice more before either of them felt comfortable enough to take off her restraints. When they finally did so, once her contractions had subsided almost completely, Sarah didn't have the energy to do much more than lay there, utterly spent. With a great deal of effort, Dave managed to convince her to get up to take a shower and let him change the sweat-soaked sheets, after which she collapsed into bed without a word.
Tomorrow was, thankfully, a weekend. Aside from how sore she felt, Sarah could hardly tell she had very nearly given birth yesterday. She briefly visited doctor Kellner, just to make sure everything was still okay, which it was, and to see if her medication needed to be adjusted, which it did. Sarah was on her way out the door again, adjusted prescription in hand, when she stopped in her tracks.
"Oh my god!" Sarah exclaimed. "You didn't- that's not-"
"Yeah, this is number three," Kellner confirmed, indicating her slight but noticeable baby bump, "same as the first two."
"I can't believe you. No, really I can't. You got your two, and now you're going back for a third!?"
Kellner laughed a little at that. "I guess I just couldn't stay away."
Sarah shook her head at the madwoman in the doctor's coat and left.
Any constructive comments would be greatly appreciated. What did you like best? What didn't you like (and how could I improve)? By all means, let me know. Part 3 will come soon, covering the eventual birth of Sarah's long-overdue, oversized child.

All this talk about omegaverse made me realize how much of a logistical NIGHTMARE professional sports would be in such a world. The male/female divide we're familiar with wouldn't work in a society with 6 biological sexes. Not just because there would certainly be cultures that would only recognize the three designations (Alpha, Beta, Omega) instead of gender, but there would also be intense debates about fairness in competition, a.k.a who should compete against whom. Are Beta and Omega women considered physically comparable? What about Alpha and Beta men?
The only feasible solution might be to have athletes compete only against others of the same gender and designation. However, this could lead to another issue: certain sports might become dominated by a particular designation, limiting opportunities for those of other designations who want to participate. At a lower competitive level, this might not be a big deal—say.... a single Omega might easily join a high school baseball team mostly made up of Betas. But at an elite level, would there be enough Omegas to form a competitive baseball team on a national scale? I can imagine there would be only a couple in the entire country, and with such limited participation, the sport might not attract much attention or funding, making it an unsustainable career choice.
All of this just to say that in an a/b/o challengers AU, all of the characters would probably, realistically, be of the same designation, and in my mind, professional tennis seems like it would be popular amongst Alphas, at least in the U.S.. That's not to say any other interpretation isn't valid! The greatest thing about omegaverse is that there are no strict rules, everyone can create their own version. I just really fell in love with the Alpha!Patrick/Alpha!Tashi/Alpha!Art throuple dynamic, and now no one will be able to change my mind about it 😂😂😂
ABO PROFESSOR IN MY INBOX!!!!!!!!!
I’m very interested though like, if you have any alpha throuple ideas pls spill!!!

but getting older means more awkward situations
Turned 37 yesterday. The 34 guilty convictions were a very nice present. Probably the best present I've ever received, including last year, when my present was a literal Broadway contract (ok, technically we found out on June 22, but tomato/tomahto).
A less nice present was the letter from my building management informing me that if I renew my lease (which I won't), my rent will be raised to what would have been 33% of my net income if HTDIO was still running. It was about 29% before, which is still a lot, but worth it for the ability to have no roommates in a decent apartment.
And when I say "decent," I mean decent in that it checks most of the basic boxes amenable to a reasonable quality of life. That is, if you don't mind having a walkup with a perpetually dysfunctional kitchen ceiling light, a radiator that you can't turn on, water damage on the ceiling due to other people's radiator dysfunction, construction outside your window during the day, aggressively loud pedicabs in the evening, and squeaky garbage trucks at 1am. So basically, a decent quality of life for heavy sleepers (which I am not) with fully functional body temperature regulation (again, not me) and no mobility issues whatsoever (I do check that box, at least for now).
The plus sides are: it's right in Hell's Kitchen, and within walking distance to most of the places I regularly go, it's a reasonably sturdy and non-fire-hazardy building for its age (which means I feel comfortable leaving my cats there) with functional plumbing and electricity (except the kitchen ceiling light), never had a pest problem, the refrigerator and microwave are brand new and excellent quality, the oven is younger than me, although it's small, and only one of the burners doesn't work.
I'm no stranger to the horror stories of NYC apartment living. I know I'm still more privileged than most to live in a place that's decent.
But it's not "you need a six-figure income and perfect credit just to APPLY to live here" decent.
It's not "you owe $9K in deposits and broker fees before you even move in" decent.
It's not "you must have either consistent exorbitant wealth or significant supplementary generational wealth in order to stay here" decent.
"So just get a job. Just get a roommate. Just put up with more problems. Suck it up. Or move back in with one of your parents again."
Sure. Okay. I'd love to. But.
When the minimum wage is $16 an hour, this isn't a "just get a job" problem.
When you're a highly trained professional at the highest level of your field and you're unemployed because corporate landlords were mad that your show wasn't selling $800 tickets in the middle of January like your neighbors at Merrily, this isn't a "just leave the industry" problem.
When finding a new career that would pay anything near what you need to live in this city would require taking out a small fortune in student loans to get another degree just to qualify for entry-level jobs that still won't pay your bills until you significantly advance, this isn't a "you majored in theatre, what did you expect" problem.
When you're autistic and chronically fatigued, fastidious about cleanliness and clutter, and religiously adhere to schedules and routines and predictability in your own space, this isn't a "just get a roommate" problem.
When you are a more-famous-than-average individual whose autism is directly tied to the things you're best known for, and Reddit is full of nightmare stories about what it means to have an autistic roommate, and Reddit is also rife with lies and rumors about you specifically, this isn't a "just get a roommate" problem.
And while I love my parents and have great relationships with both of them and they are doing everything they can to support me...for complicated logistical and personal reasons that are none of the Internet's business, "just move back in with your parents" is not a super helpful solution either.
But if I don't find a miracle between now and the end of August, that's probably what I'll end up doing.
And the crazy thing is, the fact that that's even an option for me STILL makes me more privileged than MOST people.
Nobody should have to face the situation I'm facing, and yet millions of people--especially disabled people--face this and worse, with far less support than I have. A cornerstone of my advocacy has been pointing out this inequity as often as I can, and trying to use my privilege and platform to help and amplify people who don't have those resources.
At this point in my career, I am supposed to be throwing down the ladder. Instead, and in spite of everything, I'm clinging to the ladder for dear life while the rungs crack beneath my feet.
And it all comes down to the landlords.
Legislation that limits the acquisition power and earning power of property owners, and enacts strict rent caps for residential AND business buildings, would solve 98% of my problems and approximately 75% of everyone else's problems in this city. (Please don't quote me on these statistics, they are sourced directly from my ass and are for idealistic illustrative purposes only.)
Anyway. Um.
34 felony convictions is still a beautiful thing.

Why Canadian Companies Prefer Digital Marketing Agencies over In-house Teams
Tumblr media
In the ever-changing digital landscape of Canada, companies big and small have to make one very important decision: develop an in-house digital marketing team or hire the services of a dedicated agency. Far from being a routine operational issue, this choice has great implications for its competitive position, market relevance, and general growth trajectory. With the digital platform becoming increasingly complicated and the stakes of online visibility soaring high, a trend has definitely been witnessed across Canadian companies: that of choosing between the expertise and agility provided by digital marketing agencies over in-house teams.
Expertise and Specialization
This has been one of the major reasons for the tectonic shift in the approach of Canadian enterprises. Digital marketing is not a monolithic discipline but a constellation of specialized areas, each with its own particular demands in expertise. From SEO virtuosos to social media savants, content marketing maestros to PPC prodigies, agencies house a cadre of specialists under one roof. Such an assemblage of talent allows businesses to tap into a wellspring of knowledge that would be prohibitively expensive and logistically challenging to cultivate internally.
What is more, the digital marketing field keeps on changing 24/7, since that is when algorithms, best practices, and consumer behaviors change at the speed of light. This places agencies in a much better place to be updated due to their focus and the heterogeneity of their client base. They undertake heavy continuous learning and serious means of professional development investment to ensure that their strategies remain at the cutting edge of industry changes. This means a commitment to staying current translates into better marketing solutions for their clients-more effectively and innovatively.
Tumblr media
Agency versus in-house: financial implications are huge and multi-dimensional. At face value, the retainers or project fees associated with agency services might appear huge. However, a close look will reveal that this is not true on the cost-efficiency level. By outsourcing an agency, a business may significantly reduce overheads like salaries, benefits, office space, and equipment, which are kept by full-time employees.
The next strong economic case lies in the fact that it can make that great sense of scalability and flexibility. It eases the opportunity to adjust marketing spend against seasonal demands, special campaign needs, or fluctuating economies without getting into the complexities of hiring or drastically reducing an internal team. That elasticity of resource allocation permits better budget efficiency and implores optimization of Marketing ROI.
Technology and Tools
The digital marketing arena is the haven for sophisticated tools and platforms-most of which come with heavy price tags, coupled with steep learning curves. Agencies, able to use economies of scale, invest in a wide array of premium software and technologies that would be financially unviable for most individual businesses to acquire. From advanced SEO tools to full-service social media management platforms, agencies arm their clients with the technological arsenal needed to drive marketing effectiveness.
Besides tools, agencies often have state-of-the-art analytics and reporting. These systems allow for the granular tracking of campaign performance, consumer behavior, and ROI. Insights gained from these advanced analytics become the powerhouse that drives businesses into making data-informed decisions and fine-tuning their marketing approaches with strategy precision.
Strategic Objectivity
One of the most overlooked benefits of hiring a digital marketing agency is the fresh perspective it brings to the challenges a brand faces. Sometimes a company's internal teams, despite being quite familiar with the brand, can suffer from tunnel vision or be stuck in paradigms. Agencies, drawing on diverse experience across industries and markets, have become a fertile source of new solutions and unconventional creative approaches, which for those within the organization can be virtually invisible.
This objectivity extends to performance appraisal as well. Large agencies are usually held to very tight KPIs through which they are accountable to deliver measurable results. The setup ensures a very transparent culture of business betterment, whereby the agencies fall under pressure to prove their strategies right and value-proposition-valid on a regular basis.
Time and Resource Management
For most Canadian businesses, more so for the SMEs, the job of dedicating or committing resources to build and maintain a fully-fledged in-house digital marketing team is surely going to distract them from their core business activities. By outsourcing such functions to an agency, this energy is freed for product development, customer service, and other mission-critical activities.
Furthermore, more often than not, agencies are in a much better position than in-house units to implement marketing initiatives. With the established processes, loads of already-vetted resources on standby, and a lot of previous work to its credit, an agency can consequently save time throughout the process from conceiving of the strategy to launching the campaign. This agility is paramount in the fast-paced digital landscape, where usually the early bird catches the worm.
Tumblr media
Many of these digital marketing agencies boast of having an extensive industry network, including influencers, media, and technology partners that can open various doors of opportunity to collaboration. Beta programs and early access to new marketing channels/features fall into this category. To Canadian businesses, this is quite an invaluable asset that networks with potential new customers.
Moreover, most agencies have good relations with key platforms, such as Google, Facebook, and LinkedIn, which provide them with the latest features, premium support, and, in some cases, almost privileged rates. More probably than not, such partnerships are passed on as tangible benefits to the clients to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of their digital marketing initiatives.
As a sustenance of risks
The regulatory requirements associated with digital marketing, encompassing privacy, advertising standards, and the specific policies of these diverse digital platforms, make hazardous minefields for businesses. This adds further pressure on digital marketing agencies because they possess specialized knowledge and experience in ensuring that their clients work in conformance with these regulations. This becomes even more crucial in instances involving Canada, where there are regulations like CASL, which is anti-spam law dictating strict requirements on electronic messaging.
Additionally, the agencies adapt by nature through adaptation to market changes. Their diversified client bases and regular activities with businesses in various industries enable them to identify and respond to the change in consumer behavior, change in technology, or economic conditions very fast. Adapting to the situation at hand helps hedge against potential risks associated with sudden changes in the market which could render several marketing strategies irrelevant.
Performance and Results
What's arguably most convincing in the move towards agency partnerships is the attention to accountability and measurement of performance. Most of the agencies operate on performance-based models with clear KPIs and reporting structures that generate tangible means through which firms realize their marketing return on investment. In other words, therefore, the approach is results-based, with continuous optimization of marketing to align with business objectives.
As such, agencies can contribute to performing competitive benchmarking. With many years of experience across industries and data, they can paint a view for a business regarding its relative standing in digital marketing performance from its competition and industry benchmarks. Such a comparative perspective may also help them zero in on opportunities for performance improvement and areas of differentiation.
The Future of Digital Marketing Partnerships in Canada
The trend of Canadian businesses partnering with specialized marketing agencies is showing no signs of abatement in the evolving digital marketing landscape. The recipe combining experience, the advantage of being cost-effective, technological advances, and strategic value when working with an agency makes compelling economic sense. And, of course, in-house teams will always have their role; it's actually quite important for big organizations. The passed "advantages to this kind of approach are flexibility and comprehensive capabilities available to organizations of any size.".
Tumblr media
The collaboration with a digital marketing agency is considered an investment in terms of growth strategy and competitiveness. Increasingly, this is a cost consideration that Canadian executives are factoring in as Canadian businesses strive to find their way through digital complexities—and as a result, a way to innovate the catalyst for success in the long term.

Yacht Transport: Ship Your Yacht, Anytime, Anywhere
Regarding luxury transportation, nothing quite captures the elegance and prestige of yacht transport. Whether you are a yacht owner looking to relocate your vessel to a new destination or a first-time buyer eager to sail the seas, there are numerous factors to consider in choosing the right yacht transport vessel service.
With so many options available in the market, finding a reliable and efficient provider can be a daunting task. However, worry not, as yacht transport has never been more accessible. With the ability to ship your yacht anytime, anywhere, the industry is booming with innovative solutions to cater to your needs.
From specialized carriers equipped with state-of-the-art technology to the knowledgeable and experienced crew, Cross Chartering Yacht Transport is committed to ensuring our clients a seamless and hassle-free experience. So, whether you dream of cruising the Mediterranean or exploring the Caribbean, the yacht transport services team can help you realize your nautical dreams.
What is Yacht Shipping, and Why Is it Important?
Yacht transportation refers to moving vessels from one location to another with yacht transport by sea or land. It is an important first-class service for yacht owners and enthusiasts who want to relocate their vessels or participate in international events.
Yachts are valuable assets and require special care during transportation to ensure their safety. Cross Chartering Yacht Transport employs experienced yacht movers and uses specialized equipment to handle and move yachts.
Depending on the size and destination of the yacht, it can be transported using different methods such as trailers, lift-on/lift-off, or roll-on/roll-off. Yacht transport allows owners to explore new cruising areas without the hassle of undertaking long voyages.
It also enables participation in prestigious regattas and events held in distant locations. Yacht transport contributes to the growth and development of the maritime industry, creating employment opportunities and supporting related businesses. Overall, yacht transport is important for yacht owners and the industry as it facilitates the movement of vessels and enables access to various locations and events worldwide.
Types of Yacht Transportation Services Available
Various types of yacht transport services are available to cater to the different needs and preferences of yacht owners and enthusiasts. One popular option is the Roll-on/Roll-off (RO-RO) service, where yachts are loaded onto specially designed vessels using a ramp or platform.
This method is often used for smaller yachts and offers a convenient and cost-effective mode of transport. Another option is the LO-LO (Lift-On/Lift-Off) service, which involves lifting yachts onto and off the transport vessel with the help of cranes.
This method suits larger, heavier yachts that cannot be easily rolled onto a vessel. Yacht shipping services are also available for customers who prefer a more secure and protected mode of transport yacht.
Vessels are carefully loaded onto specialized yacht transport ships, securely stored, and protected from the elements during transit. This method is particularly suitable for longer journeys or transporting valuable or delicate yachts.
Yacht delivery services are also available where experienced captains and crew sail the yacht to its intended destination. This option allows yacht owners to avoid transport logistics and enjoy the experience of sailing in their vessels. Overall, the availability of these different types of yacht transport services ensures that yacht owners have options to suit their specific needs and requirements.
Factors to Consider when Choosing a Yacht Transport Company
When choosing a yacht transport company, several factors need to be considered. First and foremost, it is important to evaluate the reputation and experience of the company. Look for testimonials or reviews from previous clients to determine their level of customer satisfaction.
Consider the company’s track record in handling yacht transportation. Ensure they have experience transporting yachts of similar size and type to yours. Another crucial factor is the company’s insurance coverage. Make sure that they have adequate insurance to protect your yacht during the transportation process.
It is important to examine the company’s pricing and payment terms. Compare quotes from different companies and evaluate the overall value you will receive. Lastly, consider the company’s network and resources.
A well-established company like Cross Chartering Yacht Transport, with a strong network of partners and resources, will be better equipped to handle any potential challenges or obstacles during transportation.
Benefits of Shipping Your Yacht Instead of Sailing It
There are several benefits to shipping your yacht instead of sailing it. First, shipping allows you to save time and energy. Sailing a yacht can be long and tiring, especially if you are not experienced or do not have a crew to assist you.
By shipping your yacht, you and the captain can avoid the hassle of planning and executing a long journey, freeing up your time and energy for other activities.
Shipping your yacht allows you to avoid potential dangers during a long voyage, such as adverse weather conditions or unexpected accidents. Finally, shipping offers convenience and flexibility. You can arrange for your yacht to be transported to any destination, allowing you to explore new cruising grounds without needing a long and arduous journey.
How to Prepare Your Yacht for Transport
Preparing your yacht for transport is important to ensure its safety and protection during transit. First, prepare properly by removing non-essential items from the yacht to reduce weight during transportation. This includes personal belongings, electronics, and any loose items or equipment. Secure any remaining items properly to prevent them from moving or shifting during transport.
Properly winterizing your yacht is also crucial if you are transporting it during the colder months. This includes draining all water systems, adding antifreeze to the engine, and protecting vulnerable areas from freezing temperatures.
Before loading the yacht onto the transport trailer or ship, it should be cleaned thoroughly to remove any salt, dirt, or debris that could cause damage. Lastly, ensure that all necessary paperwork and permits are in order, and communicate with the transport company to ensure a smooth and well-coordinated boat transport and process.
Choosing the Right Transport Method for Your Yacht
When transporting your yacht, choosing the right method is crucial. There are various options to consider, each with its own advantages and limitations. One common method is using a specialized yacht transport company, like Cross Chartering Yacht Transport.
We have the expertise and equipment to handle different sizes of yachts and ensure their safe delivery. Another option is to sail your yacht to its destination. This can be a great choice if you have the time and experience. It allows you to enjoy the journey and provides a unique adventure. However, it requires careful planning, including extensive knowledge of weather conditions and maritime routes.
If your yacht is small enough, you may opt for trailering it. This can be cost-effective and convenient, as you have more control over the schedule and route. However, it is important to ensure your trailer is suitable for the size and weight of your yacht. Overall, analyzing your needs and the specific characteristics of your yacht will help you choose the best transport method.
Understanding the Costs of Yacht Transport
Understanding the costs of yacht transport is essential for anyone considering moving their yacht to another destination. There are various factors to consider when determining the cost of transporting a yacht.
The size and weight of the yacht play a significant role in the overall cost, as larger and heavier yachts require specialized equipment for loading and unloading. The distance and location of the destination port can also affect the cost, as shipping to remote or less accessible areas can increase expenses.
The season and market demand can influence pricing, with peak times typically being more expensive. Other factors to consider include customs fees, insurance costs, and additional services required, such as cradle or shrink-wrapping.
It is crucial to consult with reputable yacht transport companies, like Cross Chartering Yacht Transport, to obtain accurate quotes based on your yacht’s express-specific requirements. Yacht owners can plan and budget accordingly by understanding these costs, ensuring a smooth and successful transportation process.
Conclusion
Yacht transport services provide a convenient and reliable way to ship a yacht, regardless of the destination or time of year. With specialized carriers and experienced crew members, you can trust that your yacht will be handled with the utmost care and professionalism.
Whether you need to transport your yacht across the country or to a remote island, Cross Chartering Yacht Transport can cater to your specific needs.
