I’ve already done music recommendations so, you can check out these posts (playlists and list of artists) if you’re looking for that specifically. But Wilbur made a lot of content over the years and idk, i figured I’d make a a list of recommendations for similar content to fill that void as well :)

Minecraft SMP’s (specifically DSMP)

The same SMP’s but other POV’s — I’ll just start with this cos it’s the most iffy. There’s plenty of enjoyment to be had with these fandoms still, and I personally don’t think we need to let the actions of a couple shitty guys ruin the silly Minecraft roleplay we all enjoy. That said, if you aren’t comfy watching these anymore that’s perfectly valid as well, especially since Wilbur’s character will be lurking around in the background of plenty of these. But yeah, we can also uplift other creators by watching the fun stories they made, especially those who got buried by bigger creators at the time. So Dream SMP, QSMP, Origins SMP, SMP earth, SMPlive all have content you can enjoy.

Different, completely unrelated SMP’s — hermitcraft, the life series, empires SMP (shubble was involved in this one, I’m planning on watching her POV when I find some time) etc. I’ve had plenty of people recommend these to me before, from what I’ve seen they’re very enjoyable :)

Hamilton — not even joking, if you enjoyed the L’manberg era of DSMP and you didn’t watch Hamilton, I’d heartily recommend it. Great music, lots of politics but all in a fun and silly way, also tragic endings!

Generation Loss — Ranboo’s very awesome Horror project that they’ve been working very hard on!!! Ranboo’s been teasing new content lately as well so that’s exciting

Analog horror series — Local 58, Gemini Home Entertainment, Mandela Catalog, Kane Pixel’s Backrooms videos, etc. All very good and spooky videos, definetely an inspiration for Gen Loss, and I know Wilbur enjoyed this content as well (though the editor Wilbur arg predates a lot of this genre) those are some of the biggest on YouTube atm, and some of my personal favourites, but there’s plenty more to find (I recommend channels like Nightmind and Nexpo who do analysis videos for all this horror and ARG stuff if you wanna find more)

Marble Hornets — gets its own category! One of the original analog horror genres (predated the genre actually) it’s basically one of the biggest and most comprehensive Slenderman series out there. There’s a LOT of content here and lots of lore and mystery (though a lot of the game clues have been lost to time) (Jack Manifold also reacted to this on stream, it was very chill and good fun)

Horror podcasts — Magnus Archives and Magnus Protocol, Malevolent and Archive 81 are some of my favourites, but there’s plenty more out there to find and enjoy :). Also very spooky with lots of mystery to involved, the Magnus Protocol is very new as well so great time to get into that!

Just Chatting / Geoguessr / other chill content

Geoguessr streamers / YouTubers — honestly I genuinely didn’t watch much geoguessr content outside of Wilbur’s streams so, I don’t have many recommendations here. I know Eret has been doing geoguessr streams lately and their content is very good and chill. Jacksuckatlife plays as well and last I watched he was fairly good at it (like similar skill level to Wilbur), otherwise Rainbolt is a geoguessr legend, he terrifies me a little ngl.

Other streamers — I think the thing with the just chatting streams is that we watch for *that specific streamer’s* personality. It’s hard to really make recommendations other than just saying go watch more of the streamers you enjoy. Personally I enjoy Phil’s hardcore streams, and Sneegsnag’s Crime Time the most, but there’s plenty of other people both in this MCYT space and outside of it that you’ll probably enjoy :)

Sorry boys (unlike horror I don’t watch much comedy so, sorry, this’ll be lacking)

Just Roll With It — Charlie Slimecicle’s DND podcast. I’ve only listened to a little bit of this but it’s really good and REALLY silly (oh, and emotional sometimes, gotta have a bit of angst y’know) Wilbur was a guest on a couple of episodes, but you can always skip past those if you want.

Tommy’s videos — so Wilbur features in a lot of the early vlogs and *minecraft but* videos, but Tommy’s content has always been good fun, his recent stuff is excellent as well! He’s been doing a lot of comedy content lately, specifically a live show so definitely check that out if you want :)

Smosh pit — not something I’ve watched a lot of, but I’ve seen clips of their try not to laugh videos and they’re definitely on par with the bat shit improv you get from Sorry Boys.

Game changer — again, not something I’ve watched much, mostly consumed through osmosis, but the show is funny, the cast is always silly and it’s a lot of fun all round

Whatever else Sorry Boys make after this — judging by some of the responses to Wilbur’s “statement” I think it’s fair to assume if Sorry Boys do continue making content Wilbur will be cut from the group. Of course don’t feel obligated to stick around if you don’t want to, but Wilbur won’t be compensated if he’s kicked and the rest of the guys are still fun :)

YLYL and similar goofy stuff

Just… other streamers again — Jack Manifold does YLYL streams with his friends. James Marriott does a lot of reaction videos as well, sometimes YLYL, sometimes reacting to content his viewers send in (like TikTok’s and break up texts), those are my favourites atm.

YouTubers — that niche between video essay and reaction content, people like Danny Gonzales, Drew Gooden, Kurtis Conner, Pinely, all good fun YouTube channels that make good, silly, and easy to consume content.

Other gaming streamers and YouTubers — Slimecicle, Ranboo, Games Grumps, RT games, and SneegSnag all play a wide variety of games, they’re all relatively chill but none of them take the games all that seriously either so it’s fun and goofy as well :)

And of course Fanfiction!!!

I might be a little bias here cos I write myself but fic is created by and for fans and it exists to give you even *more* content about the stories you love, whether it be reimagining canon events or just dumping your favourite characters into a silly au.

I know a lot of authors (myself included) are feeling super conflicted and weird about writing Wilbur in the future. Plenty of authors have been moving onto new fandoms so if you find something you enjoy make sure you check out the author’s other work and who knows, maybe you’ll find some cool new fandoms that way!

And do the same for artists and other creators, or even go check out some of your mutuals fandoms, you guys might have more in common than you originally thought!

The Blackwell Legacy (watched: ZenBear): I’m sure there’s like no one out there who ships Rosa and Joey together but man I see myself so much in Rosa and Joey is sexy so uh. I gotta project!

Cassette Beasts (watched: GSDBoxer): My own attempt at playing this game was shameful. I’m so glad I can experience it this way.

Dicey Dungeons (watched: SummerDumber): I really like this girl, so it’s a shame this is the only game on her channel that interests me at all.

Fear & Hunger (watched: Graeme Games): I will never understand what compels people to spend their limited time on this Earth playing something so demoralizing… but I’m watching it so what do I know.

Golden Idol Investigations: The Sins of New Wells (played): I was actually really emotionally moved by the final case. Roy’s a hero, man.

Grunn (played): A cozy gardening sim with jumpscares. So many jumpscares. I did not finish it.

Hades II (played): If I ever manage to beat Typhon I will be so proud of myself

Hi-Fi Rush (watched: PlayFrame): I honestly don’t think I would have realized this game was a parody of the gaming industry if not for Dan’s singular insight.

Instants (played demo): I think this demo is partially to blame for my current sticker insanity.

Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge (watched: Quasimofo): I thought the monkey wrench puzzle was cute tbh

Monster Pub (played): Don’t know why it had to be in three separate downloads, but it was a nice cozy card game

Muffles' Life Sentence (played demo): The “each chapter released as a different game” model feels a little Garten of Banban but the demo was really good

Scarlet Hollow (played): The update is fantastic but I’m still not going back on the fucking Discord

Shipwrecked 64 (watched: Andrew Cunningham and mollystars): I’m Deltarune hyped so I went back to watch some Deltarune theorists play a weird ARG

Stardew Valley (played): Winter is the worst part of this game

Tower of Kalemonvo (watched: Graeme Games): I want to support Graeme… I believe in him I want to watch all his videos… but these Diablo-likes are always so boring to me

Until Then (played): Reminded me immediately of A Space for the Unbound, and it’s full of charming and interesting ways to interact with the world

Vampyr (watched: Laila Dyer): Don’t Nod are a really ambitious studio. Their games are never perfect but I really respect the variety in their library

We should talk. (played): The girlfriend in this game reminded me too much of me. Felt bad to break up with her.

Hi anon, sorry for thr late response. I think that you are seeing the promo in terms of reaching more of the general public outside of LATAM & famous media, but this specific promo was for his tour in LATAM.

Besides the promo in Brasil, Chile and Argentina there was also press from Paraguay (in Argentina) and from Perú (in Chile).

Louis talk about his music and other projects like AFHF, but the main reason is to promote the tour.

I don't live in those countries, but in this post by @lets-laughagain they mention how a lot of media was talking about Louis in Brasil and in this post they comment how Louis was trending all weekend in Argentina.

So the media work in some way, hopefully it also will help in ticket sales. But I think the fact that everyone that interviews Louis see how kind and down to earth he is, that's a positive thing. It helps that the media likes Louis for the future.

Also in this post & this other post by @calordelverano they share a lot of people talk about Louis football skills while he was in Argentina and mention how he was a great football player. So Louis is making new people be interested in him and that could make them listen to his music and buy tickets (not that everyone will but is a potential future audience).

Louis did a lot of interviews in each country, so I think it helps to reach different audiences and remind them the shows. I was just looking a few of the media that interview Louis and here are some data:

I do think that for LT3 he needs a new strategy to reach more people, but I think what he did with the promo in LATAM is a good move, same with the festivals that he will do after the tour.

ARG Concept: "(no name idea yet)"

Premise

A mysterious cosmic event causes the moon to "awaken" as a sentient, living entity. Dubbed (no name idea yet), the moon begins to exert a strange influence on Earth, emitting a subtle, pulsating light that seems alive. People and scientists notice rapid changes in the environment, including deformed plants, mutated animals, and a strange illness termed Lunar Cancer, which progressively mutates infected humans. Mutated wildlife (e.g., flowers growing teeth, animals with extra limbs or bioluminescence).

A faux medical website describes the symptoms of Lunar Cancer: sensitivity to moonlight, strange dreams of an "eye" in the moon, and gradual physical changes (e.g., glowing veins, hardened skin, extra digits). Visitors who enter symptoms receive cryptic messages, suggesting their involvement is deeper than they realize.

With your permission I would love to make concept art for humans, animals, and plants infected with Lunar Cancer as I think I already got some ideas!

Hm... I'm not sure if I can get it done yet, but I think I could also create online posts in regards to the incident and maybe news articles as well. I did do that once for an SCP: HMF Tale (albeit badly) so I should be able to do it again. I guess once I get too it I'll send you what I got.

I unfortunately won't be able to work on it as often as you are since I'll be working on Endless Conflict, my own personal project. There is so so SO much lore to the story of Dusk To Dawn that I simply can't do it justice in a text post, but I will do my best to cover the basics.

2 alien races are at war: The Amphizori and the Cryozak. The leader of the military branch of Amphizori, Raika (he/him), decides "hey what if we made a bioweapon out of alien wolves and we made it so that they have enhanced senses, can camouflage even on an infrared scale, are solar powered, and only attack lifeforms that resemble the target (humanoid) would that be fucked up or what?" So he recruits a bunch of scientists to make these (project stendri, also called shadewolves by humans). Also Raika is a piece of shit btw he treats all the scientists, especially the lead scientist, Keicazil (he/they), like total shit and emotionally manipulates most if not all of them.

Raika decides to use the newly discovered exoplanet with sapient life on it (Earth) as a testing ground because he sucks. All of thr scientists are not ok with this but are forced to go through with it anyways bc he's their boss. This is when keicazil and his boyfriend start to formulate a plan to tell both alien races of the horrors that Raika has done, save Earth, and just straight up mutany this dudes ass.

While this is all going on there's shit going on with the humans too!!

There are 4 main characters:

Elias Ramsamooj (he/him), Kepler Manzello (they/them), Rowan Flowers (he/him), and Faith Vazquez (she/her).

Other important characters include Sage (she/her), Hazel (she/her), Christine Murray (she/her), Angelica Murray (she/her), John Miller (he/him, and Noel (she/her).

I'm not gonna go too much in depth in all their stories bc there's A LOT to cover but essentially Kepler and Elias have been online friends for years and were planning on meeting up irl. Halfway through Elias' road trip to meet Kepler the alien invasion happens. They end up meeting up but only after shadewolves have killed Kepler's family so they're pretty fucked up. They later meet Faith who was left for dead by her old group of friends (there's SO many layers to that group btw it's a similar situation to what happened with the scientists and Raika). They then meet Rowan and save him from being murdered by some people who belong to The Children of the Wolf (It's a cult. Similar to we the people from thr sun vanished but also very different at thr same time).

After they meet up they meet up with Sage and Hazel, the 2 leaders of thr Community. (It's basically just a small town lol they are very well off tho). Faith pissed off thr leader of TCotW and there's like a mini war between the community and the cult lol bit I'm not gonna go into that.

Just know that story has a happy ending ^_^ I'm hoping to turn it into a book someday maybe

ALSO The Children of the Wolf are lead by Angelica Murray. The cult believes that the shadewolves are angels sent from heaven to cleanse the earth of sin. They protect and "live in harmony" with them. They also believe anyone killed by a shadewolf was "not following in the path of god."

They're insane and. Yeah just all around not a fun group of people. Especially their leader she's also a dick LMFAO

That's all I can tell yall for now. This story takes a bit of inspiration from the sun vanished arg too if it wasn't obvious though nothing that can be pointed out very easily (I hope lol)

Sadly, our Time with the Picknicksquad and the Onion is over as well. It was so nice to have Rufus Team back and despite everything, Kevin made an interesting addition to that team. I wish circumstances had been better tho. (I mean having a mission that drives the plot forward was obviously necessary, but it would have been nice if the mission would not have included killing someone, as this was a dark cloud looming over Kevin constantly.)

Having only Vans Team left now is kind of upsetting for me to be honest. While I wouldn't say Kevins and Reans Plots were overall amazing, being with them still felt much better than being with the ASO. They still bore me half to death ^^'

Well... it IS their arc tho. So there is nothing we can do about it. So lets get back to Ankerville and finish that Act too.

This must be really frustrating for Van right now, because the way Kincaid put it, it looks like she is leaving now because of what happened last night and he doesn't even have any say in it either, also because of him rejecting her. You could tell that Van wanted things between them to just... you know... go back to normal as fast as possible and being there working together like always made it feel like that was the case. Her leaving so easily now kind of seems to say otherwise tho.

(Obviously, there is much more behind all that than Van's rejection, but he doesn't know that yet...)

And here we go again. 2 of 3 times Elaine joined when Agnes left. Anyone surprised? If Elaine would at least be a healer that would have at least been an exchange that doesn't feel like trading gold for copper... and no, her fighting strength does not make up for it. I have plenty of strong fighters, what I need is not another fighter, but a healer.

Look, I get that with the amount of money they've got, their economy had a big ass boost that they used for all kind of things. But no money in the world can make any random person the strongest, the best, the boldest, the wisest person. I mean... you are telling me Elaine got a freaking A Rank but Joshua and Estelle who stopped a Coup and saved Liberl and then helped save Crossbell and then fight the Twilight and then take care of Babel are supposedly still not higher than B-Rank at the moment? Who makes those decisions? And just for your information, the reason Osborne didn't plan a space project was because he was busy saving the world from Ishmelga and the great Twillight who happened on Earth. It does not mean he would have not been capable of doing what Roy does. And for the record, as great as it is what Roy wants (and apparently not for the first time FAILS) to archive, it would likely never had come to this if it would not have been for Osborn taking care of the Twilllight and my Rean and his People defeating Ishmelga! Not sure if we would be here if no one one in Liberl would have taken care of that Auraleole-Thingy either. So don't make it sound like everyone is lesser than your stupid präsident! ALSO Roy does this not truly to save the world, but his daughter. And there was an immense will behind Osbornes motivations in that direction too. Look! I get it. The lengths this man goes to, to save his daughter and give her a future to live in are amazing and yes, he is saving the world with it - or would be, if his plan wouldn't fail in the end - but how does this make him any better or any more amazing then the ones that came before him in the other Arcs? Every single one of them saved the world somewhat with what they did and they all did it both for Zemuria and the people they loved and cared about. Yes, this startaker Project is on a larger scale than anything we have seen before. But I assure you that with the knowledge that Gramheart had, many, many other people in Zemuria would have done the same. This man is nothing special - or at least not more special than the many other heroes we have meet in the past years after since the Trails-Series has started.

I do not want to play it down. I am very much aware that he saves all those people that we have come to love and care about from the previous games IF he succeeds and I would certainly not be ungrateful for it and of course, he deserves some credit for it. All I want is the acknowledgment that IF he had let other people know about all this, they would have done the same.

But these are all people who play roles in some way shape or form in the history of this world... why should they not get picked by history all over again? Maybe not exactly the way they are now and looking at Feri obviously not automatically with the same story, but still...

I wonder if these particular remnants come from timelines where things went differently? Feri is obviously an adult now but it looks like she is nothing more than a soldier instead of that priestess that she somewhat aims to become in this loop. Maybe Taikoon comes from the timeline were he wasn't locked away? Maybe Gioccomo comes from a timeline were he wasn't killed? I don't know. But there must be some reason why these are the people chosen for this role.
