It’s always confused me how Sifo-Dyas had visions of a horrible doom future and came up independently with this idea that the only way to prevent it was ordering up a clone army. And yes, I understand “see Order 66/the Republic attacked by an army, decide they need an army TOO” but it just doesn’t logically flow very smoothly. When have the Jedi used an army? Why leap to that as a Plan A?
But it makes a lot more sense if he had visions of the Clone Wars. Visions that specifically included the partnership between the Jedi and the clones.
So he would have seen brave, intelligent clones working alongside Jedi, collaborating on a thousand different worlds. He would have seen them covering each other’s back, fighting side by side against literal and figurative monsters. He would have seen the Jedi Order fundamentally changing and growing alongside these people, perhaps even the future that never came to pass after winning the war. And the connections during it: Jedi wearing armor, forming bonds of respect and camaraderie, clones attached to “their” Jedi. Family units developing. Friendships, romances, sibling relationships...
He would have seen Cody throwing Obi-Wan his dropped lightsaber for the dozenth time. And as a lifelong Jedi, he would have deeply understood the significance of that act. The trust.
If Sifo-Dyas truly believed the battle for the end of their world was coming, maybe for him, it wasn’t about just getting an army, it was about making that army. One built on mutual respect and absolute trust. It was seeing those exact people and the connections that would bloom there, and working backwards from that conclusion to make it exist.

The Jedi are not: An army
A military of any kind
a branch of goverment
an 'Institution'
The Jedi are:
A religion and a culture unique to themselves Protectors (They never wanted to go to war. Their accountability established to make sure they were answerable to someone other then themselves was turned against them and they were forced to war by law and circumstance.) Peacekeepers Diplomats and negotiators MONKS (That's why they live in a temple)

sick and tired of people blaming the Jedi for Anakin’s fall and saying Anakin being groomed by Palpatine is the Jedi Council’s fault for “failing him” by being “assholes who don’t care about human emotion” like??? the Jedi aren’t perfect but did you forget. the literal villain here. you could blame Palpatine for grooming him in the first place but instead you set the blame on the Jedi? the literal good guys of the story?

Disability & The Jedi
I think a lot of people don’t quite realize just how diverse the Jedi are, from culture, to species, to language, and more. Many see the movies and automatically make the (incorrect) assumption that the life of a Jedi is one of battle, and that all Jedi are trained to fight. This is untrue, as there are multitudes of non-combat roles offered within the Jedi, from agriculture, to archivists, to healers, and social workers for specialized outreach programs, from navigators and diplomats, to educators, the Jedi have it all. They have more non-combat roles than they have combat roles!
Disability within the Jedi Order is not something that would cause particular concern. Physical disabilities, such as auto-immune diseases, or things like Diabetes, would be considerably easy to manage, and wouldn’t hinder a Jedi in any way. Healing force powers, such as Curato Salva, would practically cure such illnesses without the need for intensive medical care or frequent testing. As for those who’ve lost limbs, and even organs, highly advanced prosthetics exist to keep them on their feet no matter what their role in the Order might be. Those who find themselves blind (or born blind) can use abilities such as Force Sight to ensure that they are just as capable at ‘seeing’ as any other in the Order.
Even developmental disabilities can find a place within the order in the many non-combat roles available. Combat is never required to be a Jedi. Jedi younglings choose the path of a padawan, and eventually, the Jedi Knight, if that is what they want. They are not forced to. They can instead choose to be farmers, ranchers, diplomats, healers, librarians, teachers, and so, so much more.
It’s incredibly unfortunate that the movies only cared to show us the more combat oriented Jedi Knights, but I suppose the ‘action packed’ movies would be considerably less ‘action packed’ if they chose to focus upon Agricorps or one of the other service corps instead. So, we end up having to learn about the many, many, non-combat roles in other media, such as books. Which... is a shame.
Anyways, I just wanted to ramble about how delightful it is to know that anyone, regardless of who or what they are, or what they might be struggling with, can find a home within the Jedi Order. The Sith would kill such individuals like me, given their hard-on for dominating and murdering those they consider to be ‘weak’. The Jedi, however, protect and encourage their most vulnerable members, allowing them to find their own purpose, and life, within the Order. To the Jedi, everybody has worth and importance. Everybody is valuable.

I think this polarization is because the movies and the series started as a fairly tale, about a Princess in danger, her friends, wizards, good vs evil, tirants vs free people in the old trilogy but once Lucas had the chance to develop the prequels he wanted to add a little more real world complexity and this is why he shows the Jedi Order as a good but very flawed organization that has become stale with time.
One example of this is Yoda, the Yoda we meet on Empire Strikes back who says " Wars don´t make anyone great" who´s humble, wise and prepares Luke for his fight with the Emperor and Vader better than anyone else could have done, is the same Yoda who used to be the Grand Master of the Old Jedi Order who lost it in a day after beliving he could win the clone wars.
Another example is Vader himself, in the old trilogy he´s the face of the most evil people the heros have to fight, one of the main tyrants, a monster who keeps everybody under control using fear, while the prequels show him as the victim of the Republic system, a child slave, even before he meet Palpatine or the Jedi and one of the first things he hears from the Jedi is "Jedi are not here to free slaves" which contrasts with Luke´s more idealist "I am here to save you" which leads to him helping Luke defeat the Empire by killing the Emperor.
So imo Lucas didn´t want to paint an evil organization with the Jedi Order, that´s the job of the Empire and the Sith but he did want to explain how they got to the way things were in the old trilogy, how everything went wrong and while Palpatine certainly manipulated most events, he would not have been able to do so much if the Jedi and the Senate didn´t have big flaws/blind spots themselves.
In short the Old Trilogy is a fairy tale epic stoy in which justice gets back to the galaxy while the prequel trilogy is the story about the tragedy of how everything went wrong in the first place and both are part of the story Lucas wanted to tell.
i think the Jedi-Positive and Jedi-Critical stances can be summed up on whether you value authorial intent or authorial execution.
Most of the Jedi-Positive people I follow quote George Lucas and director commentaries to prove their points, as well as utilize analyses from others at LucasFilm that have to keep the general status quo. It's all based on what Lucas was trying to portray, while ignoring the product in execution.
The Jedi-Critical stance tends to look at the prequel execution, and they question the obvious uncomfortable moments that have real-life parallels to atrocities. They tend to be more Legends fans, whose writers actually delved into the terrifying implications. It's all on criticizing execution while disregarding intent.
Like, take the argument about Jedi children. A Jedi-Positive person would argue that all the children are all given up with consent from their parents; this is what I am sure Lucas was intending to portray. A Jedi-Critical person will look at this and go "wait. how much 'consent' was in this encounter? the government can legally take these kids and have a representative show up to a farmer's house and tell the farmer they can technically say no? that is some bullshit." And there is real-life evidence for this. It's more on the execution.
Or the argument about love. Jedi-Positive people turn to Lucas's interview to show that they really meant it in the Buddhist sense, and if you value intent that works. Jedi-Critical people would argue that the marketing states that the Jedi cannot love, and nothing in the movies states that the Jedi meant non-toxic love when they eschew attachments.
They're both valid positions, but I think a lot of fandom brutality comes from not understanding either view, or demeaning one view in favor of another. It's perfectly acceptable to value one over the other.

Not me making a seven part pro-Jedi TikTok series because most TikTok creators hate the Jedi Order for some reason and I want the baby Star Wars needs to get some different opinions.
Oh wait.
Here is part two if you want to maybe watch it.

Why did the Jedi Order fall? Hubris? A generations-long conspiracy by the Sith? ....you know, I always thought the fact that the movies were prequels to some movies with no Jedi Order always had a little something to do with it.

A story about how the perfect projedy turns away from the predicted path and falls in love with the odd lamb. How a perfect example of a strong and manly alpha does not choose for the prettiest omega but a unique and skinny alpha or in other words: How Kim SeokJin fell in love with Min Yoongi.
