SPR redesign part 6 is finally here!!! The one on the left is my version of the protag! (I had to get creative. There was virtually nothing to work with)

Additional Notes:

Protagonist has a bag to keep all their scissors in.

Protagonist is also a folded.

The markings on 1x's legs are vaguely based on calligraphy.

Feather plume ink!!

Clockwork is a fancy little fella.

In exploring various avenues to go about a Ghost Hunt/My Hero crossover, one of the more entertaining dynamics I think would be the interactions between Mai and Endeavor.

To put it bluntly, there is a strength behind Mai’s character that I don’t think we in the Ghost Hunt fandom give her near enough credit for, and that is the fact that on a fundamental level, Mai is fearless.

As per general anime protagonist behavior, she is almost exactly like Deku when it comes to doing what she perceives to be the right thing.  Reckless, yes, and she is often running headlong into danger, but it’s important to remember Mai has also never been afraid to call anyone out on their bad behavior.

Within minutes of meeting Ayako, she called her out for talking down to her classmate, a classmate she was not even particularly close to.

She often calls out Masako and Naru both for their condescension and attitudes.

Takigawa was physically holding her back from going after the faculty at Rokuryou.

She called out Lin pretty quickly for his bullshit.

And she straight up yells at everyone in the very first case for their bickering and posturing even though she barely knew any of them.

In canon, Mai jumps at ghosts and she is easily unsettled/frightened, but even against Urado, she still has the inherent resolve to think, ‘Okay, you need to go.’

Also recall the fact that she has not hesitated to out Naru twice on minor secrets solely because he pissed her off.  That whole bit in the Labyrinth case where she demands to know why he didn’t tell them the full reason why they were there and he just answers with how ‘some people don’t know when to keep their mouth shut.’  Yeah, he didn’t say that because he didn’t think she could keep the secret.  Homeboy straight up knew she would weaponize that information if given the chance.

For all her compassion and the ‘good girl’ vibes we remember her for, Mai is petty af.

This is why I like writing Mai as an adult.  Canonically as a teenager, she’s already formidable in her own way.  As a young adult who’s dealt with Naru and company for a few years and has subsequently gotten used to the constant razzing and sass the whole group brings to the table (and let's be real, nobody in My Hero Academia would be prepared for the full force of SPR's combined sass,) adult Mai would be a force of nature.

So as intimidating as Endeavor is, I legitimately think Mai’s reaction to him would be a resolute,  “I don’t care if he’s three times my size and on fire, nobody speaks that way in my presence and gets away with it.  Hold my purse, hold my beer, time for a verbal ass-whooping.”

And then there’s Yasuhara saying, “Go off, sis,” and filming for posterity.

Speaking of SPR's favorite bespectacled fiend, Yasuhara has definitely hit on everyone in the top ten.

Yasuhara and Mai both have probably ended up in this situation, possibly at the same time and the end result is always the same:

Naru stepping in.

"What exactly is your plan here? Putting them down or harming them are your only two options right now, only one of which is the smart option. Unhand them. You're embarrassing everyone."

SPR really be the Animaniacs sibs to every Pro with an ego. Which is, like, 90% of Pros. And villains.

But yeah, general cattiness between Mai and Endeavor:

"I didn't see you there, Taniyama. Perhaps your lackluster and unremarkable costume was to blame."

¡ hello dear reader, welcome !

~ Our story begins in the very older world, far before any of the events of what we know as 'PR4' occurred, with a younger self of our protagonist, Tess Aract . . .

As you may have read the title, this comic might be shitty and might not be the best quality or have much consistency as this is a very side project and I work on many other things, but I’ll try my best :)!

I’d like to start saying that obviously I don't own the PR series neither am I affiliated with the original team or their work. I’d also like to leave clear that I do not support the original creator either.

Infact, I think the story kind of.. yknow .. sucked. And this is why I'm making my own personal version of the story, so it won't be exactly like in the games and it may not fit your head canons so sorry for that!

How often will I update?

There'll be no set date for updates but I'll try my best to try to get out at least one per month :) The updates will be posted as "acts" who are part of a bigger section, the "chapters".

I'm taking mostly from PR2, SPR, some concepts from what was gonna be PR4 (Demiruge Down) and Rovers canon (that one doc he posted about what was gonna be his PR4).

Meanwhile, let's look at the official cover art of SPR

(ignoring the fact it doesn't really have good anatomy[even with the sort of "rubber-hose" bending of the arms], line colors are a bit inconsistent, and the bright colors are a bit much[just ow, my eye])

Even if you know Paper Mario, you still wouldn't get the basic story of SPR just from the cover art. Like it doesn't tell the genre it's supposed to be. This could be a dating game for all the newcomers to the game know. This is just a character showcase. A bad one at that too, because you don't even get what these characters' personalities are from just looking at them.

Like Wiscara looks like the protagonist with her having one of the most "dynamic" pose.

Artrist barely looks like the smug and cheeky bad guy he is supposed to be and just looks like that one "fuckboy" in a friend group who tried to rizz up every female background character with a 1/10 success rate.

The two pumpkin heads, who are supposed to be some sort of god-like entities, are too easy to overlook. With Lantern easy to be missed. I personally haven't noticed him in the corner until recently Because he is positioned poorly.

Rozanda looks to be the comedic relief of the group, with her body language, when she's supposed to be an infamous pirate queen.

And the rest are just basically in"Insert default R6 Roblox pose here" poses

Compared to the inspiration, it's like night and day. You can obviously see the incompetency that is in this cover art alone.

Only upside of the cover art is this: At least it tells you the gameplay is bland.

Super Paper Roblox: Boundless Bibliopegy Designs (Pt. 1)

If you're curious on what Boundless Bibliopegy is... It's a fanfiction I've been planning for over a month now that I've just started to write! Currently at it's first chapter, I plan on getting the second chapter out soon! I try to keep updates going on a weekly basis but no promises. It's essentially your average SPR continuation. Read the first chapter here!

Now, let's get to characters. I'll cover the rest of the cast at a later point and compile everything into a singular masterpost when everything's done!

Tess Aract

Tess represents the ink that comprises the pages of a book, laying down words as the story's main protagonist. Without words to be seen, what's the point of a narrative? Tess's very involvement is what catalyzed the events of the plot.

Scriptliss

With a bookmark tail, Scriptliss represents the ribbon bookmark at the spine of the book to help one keep their place. With a desire to practice heroism, he knows what he wants to be. Though he doubts himself at times, he always keeps on going and never loses sight of his values.

Wiscara

As a sorceress of scissors, it's obvious what she represents. Like the scissors that trim down the pages, Wiscara knows what fits in the fabric of reality. With connections with Dusekkar and inherent knowledge that comes from her element, she's aware of discrepancies in reality.

Bonus material:

I think that if Boundless Bibliopegy were to be a game, it'd be your average turn-based RPG with elements of the Paper Mario and Mario and Luigi ones (albeit with more characters). I'm not exactly sure how this would work but I do plan on working that out for fun later!

Tess Aract

His high magical stat comes from years upon years worth of experience with magic. Tess is the type of character ideal for dealing magical damage on enemies, though void magic comes at a cost. Few of Tess's moves are powerful at the expense of recoil damage. (Which his health stat compensates for.)

Since he's on the weaker side in terms of defense, he's best placed in the back lines. Though, his higher health stat allows him to take a few hits here and there if you haven't expended too much of it already. Tess was never exactly afraid of death, was he?

Scriptliss

An overall balanced character with a high health stat due to his immortality. He can act as a tank for his allies thanks to this, making him viable for the front lines. As someone that focuses on physical attack, Scriptliss is sure to slice through enemies with his sword. Though, if needed he knows enough magic when in a pinch.

However, his main weakness is his low speed which causes him to strike last out of his allies and potentially even his enemies. It's important to make sure to choose your moves wisely for your team when stategizing.

Wiscara

Wiscara is a scissors sorceress that's also fairly balanced. Now, the 3 star magic stat isn't to say that Wiscara isn't worse at magic than some of her peers but rather how the scissors element combines both physical and magical prowess. Why have one or the other when you can have both!

However like with Tess, her defenses are quite low so it's important to make sure to evade attacks properly. With her portals, she's given the ability to dodge attacks easily but any mistake can leave behind great damage.

Protag HCS

PR2 protag is (optionally) different from SPR protag. Once the PR2 Protag finished their goal, they were thrown into the waste bin.

If the player chooses to have the dialogue with scriptliss be 'scriptliss, is that you??' Then its the PR2 protag, who managed to escape from the waste bin, making them a folded robloxian (Or whatever species they were)

if the player doesnt though, SPR protag is just some rando off the fucking street /j(?)

more or less something for myself but uhh heres a simple explaination for the designs

"Only the coolest characters can wear a rope around their waist." this line was taken from the dev comment on the true form card and i agree. shes the coolest guys.

the capes her dress from the original (remind me to fix the colors in the final :P)

her hairs supposed to mimic aristris front hair (im drawing... eventually guys trust me)

the diamond shaped accessories are supposed to be based off of chapter 8s portal hopping (those diamond obstacles)

i gave her pants because i dont think it would reasonably make sense for her to wear a loose fitting skirt if she was teleporting from place to place and jumping everywhere

with scriptliss it was supposed to kinda be like those "knight in shining armor" kind of armor. fairly sure i made this when i was sick so thats why it looks scuffed

the white parts are supposed to be a reference to his true form, and the diamonds are cogen, ofc .w.

hes wearing his original clothing from spr under his armor, just for fun :3 (fun fact! protagonists shirt is green to be a direct opposite. not sure when i decided that but! yep!)

also that helmet canonically dosent fit scriptliss properly

tucker was the first one i did when i first got this tablet so he looks a little wonky (sorry tucker!) i wanted to mimic the those like british waistcoats and sleves (or maybe its a different era... ill search that up later) the blue undercoat is supposed to be i direct reference to dussekar and yes he is wearing a rolex

im not sure what i was doing with sphara, i think it was a mix of egyptian and greek? i do like the sleves though
