Hello, I am curious. What are your Fuyumi headcanons?

Fuyumi headcanons....

Fuyumi's favorite animal are frogs. She particularly likes the brightly colored tropical frogs.

She is bisexual and has gone through a couple brief relationships, but she has deep fear of ending up like her mother, so few of them lasted very long. She hasn't told her parents about any of them.

She is really good at shodou (Japanese calligraphy) because it's an inexpensive hobby that she could practice quietly in her room out of her father's way.

Her favorite flowers are lotuses.

She has PTSD from Touya's 'death.'

Her favorite childhood memory is when she was six and Touya taught her how to remove a spider from the house without killing it.

She loves Pop☆Step's music.

She has trypophobia.

Unlike Touya, she enjoys sushi.

He couldn’t stand to see her wasting away in her hospital bed, sometimes curled around the baby, sometimes sobbing inconsolably to herself, so he told her he was returning to the agency.  Rei didn’t ask him to stay.  In fact, she didn’t say anything at all when he left.  He probably wouldn’t have stayed even if she had asked him to because his mother-in-law and Theia and Firelight were right about him running away, no matter how much he told himself there was little he could do for his wife or their newborn and it was just practical for him to return to work.  It didn’t mean he didn’t care.

Robots (2005) - Poor classes of robots are unable to afford the more expensive upgraded components, and the corporate company who profits from those upgrades opts to discontinue spare parts which would force the impoverished to upgrade or be scrapped when they inevitably break down. Actually a pretty good allegory for US healthcare costs and insurance.

a lot of media assumes robots would be immortal but i think its a lot more interesting to explore robots dealing with their parts wearing down and battery life shortening and all the horrible little failings that come with being a complicated machine. sure they can replace parts but you'd assume you cant completely ship of theseus them, or it'd have pretty big rammifications on their sense of identity. idk. give me robots with distinct, unique signs of aging. as a treat.

Recently thought of a ship and I've been kind of obsessed with it

Do you suppose it hurts Ryukyu to transform?

Toga's transformation is essentially layering another person's form over her own, which sounds uncomfortable and claustrophobia inducing but painless.

Kirishima's skin goes through a physiological change, sure, but I've always pictured that on the same level as tightening a muscle or holding his breath because he has a limit on how long he can use it.

Mt. Lady grows taller, but her relative dimensions stay consistent as she does.

Ryukyu's entire bone, muscle, organ, etc. structure has to change in order for her to go from human to dragon. Was that something she needed to train herself to become desensitized to? Did she have to learn to fly with two extra limbs?

Her arms don't become wings; she grows wings. And a tail. She grows new bones, complete with new muscles, ligaments, blood vessels, and nerve endings.

Her skeleton—skull, hands, limbs, everything—reconstructs itself.

She's a lot bigger as a dragon, so she would need a larger heart and her entire cardiovascular system would need to work at a completely different efficiency than a human's to accommodate the larger form.

Canon doesn't say exactly how big her dragon form is, but given we can see she's close to the size of a small plane, that's not an insignificant change.

This could not have been painless.

Step 1: Start writing Ambush Sim one-shot where the Vanguard + Fuyumi are having an argument while playing Monopoly. Because what more infuriating game to be playing while having an argument?

Step 2: Look up if Monopoly the board game actually made to Japan/gained popularity there, and if so, is the Japanese variation altered to have more Japanese sounding property names?

Step 3: Read an article about how the game is not unheard of in Japan but isn't as popular as it is in the West. There are at least three versions, plus some special editions.

Conclusion: If the Vanguard is playing Monopoly, it's probably because Tenko introduced it to them, having spent some long weekends of his childhood playing with his uncle.

Secondary Conclusion: If this doesn't end with Touya throwing a hotel piece at someone, I will be disappointed with myself.

Ambush Simulation: Touya and his Grandmother

The more I think about it, the more I'm realizing Touya might be the only sibling who matches the particular brand of devious/petty that I created his Himura grandmother to have.

Because in At The Constellation, a detail I wrote is that Rei's favorite kimono was a 'blue homoungi kimono with the pretty, white gradient and subtle yukiwa pattern.' She wore it when she first met Endeavor.

Fast forward a few years, we have Touya opting to wear a woman's kimono to a party his father is requiring him to attend. (This also kickstarted his self-exploration that he was demi-masculine.) Being a very supportive grandmother, Hinata was happy to help him by browsing through both her and Rei's collection. Touya at this point didn't have any ulterior motives other than annoying his father, but Hinata certainly did when they found this:

The blue homoungi with a white gradient and a snowflake pattern.

Touya had no idea what his grandmother was plotting when she held it up and innocently asked, "What about this one, Touya? This one is pretty."

Hinata, having a big, ol' smirk on her face when Endeavor saw him and smiling sweetly when confronted in private, "Whatever do you mean, Todoroki? I merely offered it as a suggestion. Who am I to tell him no when he decided that was the one he liked?"

She knew what she was doing.

MHA Concept: I watched a clip from a later season of Big Bang Theory last night where Amy says this line in regards to Sheldon having lunch with another woman:

“You don’t get it, I’ve been smacking that ketchup bottle for a long time!  All she’s gotta do is tip it over and point it at her fries!”

And I feel like if Shouto finally understands euphemisms, this is the sort of bizarre shit he'd say and everyone else can be hella lost and confused for a change.
