OIympic Level Competition at Freakshow

You won’t want to miss RMN Events’/Nuway upcoming tournament titled Freakshow of Amateur Wrestling in Las Vegas. This tournament is capped at 3000 wrestlers this year, and will offer folks a rare opportunity to see and experience some of the top teams nation wide. These competitors wrestle all year long and have devoted their lives to the sport of wrestling. One of these teams is Titan Mercury Wrestling Club, where Olympic hopefuls are on the road to achieving their dreams.

Titan Mercury Wrestling Club is a back-to-back US Open Nationals champion with 4 world team members who will be competing at the World Championships this September and 1 who will be at the Junior World Championships.

The club is dedicated to the development of wrestlers from youth all the way to the Olympic level garnering and helping build Olympic champions. They are currently working with PROWL (Pro Wrestling League) a groundbreaking league that is bringing clubs together to allow senior wrestlers looking to wrestle professionally to continue doing so. These are wrestlers who are devoting their life to the pursuit of Olympic or professional wrestling goals and dreams.

PROWL is composed of 6 elite teams each with 6 elite wrestlers from all over the country including: The New York Athletic Club, Sunkist Kids Wrestling Club, Finger Lakes Wrestling Club, Titan Mercury Wrestling Club, Michigan Wrestling Club, and Hawkeye Wrestling Club.

PROWL is geared toward wrestlers looking to be world, Olympic, and professional wrestling champions. The goal of this organization is to be a competitive professional league where wrestlers could make $30,000-$50,000 a year. As the organization develops, the sky is the limit.

Head coach and former NCAA champ Wayne Boyd believes that “The Olympic team members are going to come out of these pro teams. I’m working hard right now with the anticipation that all 6 Olympic team members in 2016 will be from Titan Mercury Wrestling,” he said.

The Olympic training practice is scheduled for Freakshow. This will give young wrestlers in attendance an unprecedented chance to learn and grow from wrestlers who are dedicating their lives to the sport.

“We want to encourage young kids who want to be national, world, and Olympic champions to become a part of our league,” said Boyd

On Friday, October 23rd, Freakshow will showcase Titan Mercury Wrestling Club head to head with Finger Lakes Wrestling Club. This will be an incredible display of Olympic level competition rarely seen in this type setting.

“Wrestling is a small community, so when these kids get to see a Jordan Burroughs or a Kyle Dake, elite level athletes, its inspiring and life changing for them.” Said Damion Hahn, head coach of Finger Lakes Wrestling Club.

The model of PROWL is sustainable and helps give professional wrestlers competition and financial support. If people get on board with it, this new league could be a huge development for the future of wrestling and the wrestling community as a whole.
