Shader vs. Water Overlay

I tried some diffrent shaders since my game has been kind enough to only start flashing pink after a few hours when using them. For the longest time I have been playing without water shaders and have been using these overlays by jon119 in lot mode and these by psychosims in neighborhood view. I think, I'll continue to handle it that way, because imho the performance decrease isn't worth it. 🤷‍♀️

I recolored the overlay for the neighborhood to be more lush. Kinda neat, I'd say.

And I pilfered some textures from pixelhate and yuxi to recolor the buymode overlays:

And did you know, that the river overlay is animated? It runs a little fast though. Today I'll try to figure out, how to slow down the stream.

I made Old Town for the Sims 2! 

The neighborhood actually includes lots for every sub-hood in the Sims 1. In this version all lots are empty. I recently-ish rebuilt all Sims 1 lots in the Sims 4 and I am not ready to do that all-over in the Sims 2 right now. 😅

You can download the decorated neighborhood with empty lots here. (to install place in your Neighborhoods folder. Make sure to check you do not have another neighborhood with this name instance (B407) before placing it in the folder, or you might lose another neighborhood.)

If you want to start Old Town from scratch, you can install the SC4 terrain and start a new neighborhood with this terrain. (To install place the folder in  your SC4Terrains folder. If you already have a terrain called Old Town, I think it should be safe to just rename this one, so you don’t lose the other!)

Yes there is a link at SC where someone had uploaded all the sets but now that’s dead :/

The set I was mainly looking for was the Gas Station - I don’t remember what I was called.

I don't have the gas station, sorry. It wasn't actually a set but a commercial (?) lot that had some new custom content. psychosim recolored the pump and two signs and re-uploaded the meshes, they also linked to the tow truck in this post

I see this post at SimsCave has dead links (where the gas station would most likely be re-uploaded) but I don't want to spread misinformation: all the other links I've tried in the SDA thread today work

CAPITELLO - District 99 empty versions + CC and 2 fixes

A whole empty scifi-fantasy main hood and Downtown and suburb versions with no lots, this way you can set it up as you like, coming soon full neighborghood with lots.

A giant Ecumenopolis (a planetary city) wich centuries ago was declared the Galactic Republic's Capital. this part of the city is district 99, wich is one of the tallest districts of the city, above 2.5 kilometers tall, making the grounds hard to be seen because of the clouds.

Thanks to Criquette for making me want so badly the link inspiring me with this hood of him :) I had it all set long time ago but didn’t uploaded cause I was making lots for it, but sadly I’ve been infected with the damn Superduperhug bug }:[ so after a few months I installed anygamestarter, copy the deco (thank u mootilda, we all miss you, you did so much for us) and here it is the empty version
