I've been missing BTS and decided to binge a few of their docu content like Break the silence, memories DVD etc. It's glaringly obvious the focus is on jkk interactions the most. Consistently across all content! If I was a fan that only viewed these videos, I would also make the judgement that JKK are the closest duo coz they are playful on stage and then always together backstage - eating,walking,traveliing in same car etc. Add to the mix when Jm said in the vminkook live as well as recent PTD docu that Jk spends hours in his room and seeks him out. That's what birthed this ship I guess.

For Tk i feel Ch 2 solidified it more for me based on personal tidbits shared by Tae and Jk on how much time they spend outside group activities. These focus hardly have Tae focus content, forget about Tk 🙄

Don't you think it's weird to reconcile the way the company content shows relationships/bonds and outside those? Like we barely see any Tk interactions on hours of this footage shown for so many years? Jkk the glued together duo didn't hang out much in Ch 2 until this travel docu for which Jm selected Jk.

Any cutesy clingy interaction shown will always be jkk in these content and it's been the same across years and diff docus. Look at the recent Beyond the star trailer and you'll again see Jk cooking and Jm beside him and then Jm clinging on to Jk. Don't see any other duo interactions like that tbh. Do you think this is done purposefully to establish a narrative?

People hate when I talk business strategies, but I’m gonna 🙈.

During Suchwita recently, Tae and Yoongi mentioned how about 90 percent of footage doesn’t make the cut in In the Soop. That’s basically true for all content. What we see is what BH wants us to see. I feel BTS has some say about the kind of projects they take on, some say on what activities they do, probably a lot of say about their music, but not as much say on how things are edited after they have filmed stuff. That’s basically up to the editors, and it gets done according to pre-decided goals/lines/rules/whatevers. A company as big as BH, and especially a band as huge as BTS has a whole team of marketing, pr, image-advisors behind them, and those are the people who sit around and come up with what they want to put out. That doesn’t mean that BTS members fake the way they interact or that what we see is set up and dishonest, but there’s people deciding what we see.. so it’s filtered content. Talking about Jm and Jk, they do actually spend all that time together and they do actually enjoy their time together, it clearly shows. But it’s BH’s choice to show us them and relatively speaking less other duos.

Why more Jkk than other duos? They measure fandom reactions. They know which duos get the desired reactions and ofcourse that is what they will put into content more. Every member has their role, so you’ll get Yoongi and Namjoon for the serious stuff a lot, you get Tae being cutesy, you get Jin being funny, and you’ll get Hobi being the enthousiast… and Jk and Jm for the banter. It’s not as if those roles are fake, but they are played out a bit more. Jm and Jk are the main singers, which will also play a role. Jk and Tae cannot be shown too much, so there’s that.

Official content is always edited the way it is for a reason. There’s hours going into it, and it’s a serious matter because it is directly linked to BTS���s image.

Jikook were wearing matching earrings in Run today. Guess they bought a pair & split it and each wore one or they own the same pair and wore them coincidentally at the same time. Nothing big, just another cute moment of them matching. Speaking of matching, when Jikook wore those matching gold & black & gold & yellow wedding bands, what happened to that footage? Do they every plan on releasing it? We know they were doing stuff together a group, but we only got snippets & never the actual footage.

REGARDLESS. What do you mean what happened to the footage? This wasn't a documentary released or much of anything. The Instagram clips and stuff posted WAS it unfortunately. The gold band behind footage came from Dispatch D'FESTA shooting clips. They posted it on their Instagram and some on youtube shorts. The rest was paid content only available AT the exhibition, stages, etc.

D'FESTA was Dispatch putting on a Kpop festival to celebrate their anniversary and BTS was part of the lineup. BTS pre-recorded all of their segments. And what we get video wise is either what Dispatch released as teasers or what ARMYS who paid for tickets and went filmed for us and shared the BTS cuts of stuff there and so video quality was, well it's just okay, its what we get when we steal content for free basically. Lol but Still wonderful!

Yes, I do think they go on trips together because they've told us themselves.

This image, posted on Tae's Birthday, was from a trip that took place probably October that we didn't hear about until the PTD on Stage Las Vegas shows, in a HopeVMinKook VLive where Tae mentioned them going on holiday and dressing each other up.

Also, they've been going on trips together alone as early as 2016. Tae once won 4-day 3-night cruise and a Miyako, Okinawa holiday for two.

Tae, gave the cruise holiday to his parents, but Tae took JK to the Holiday part of the prize. We know this because...

For JK's Birthday in 2017, Tae posted this on Twitter:

So, it's likely there are other trips that the pair have gone on that we don't know about.

The reason we don't hear of any sightings? They probably go on trips that are private and secluded away from prying eyes and like most hidden celebrity couples they travel separately on different days and leave Korea for different locations and get connecting flights to their destination all to evade detection. Or they get private jets, where you don't have to publicly publish the final destination.

But here's the thing, you sometimes get a rumour...

Remember about a month or so a go about, some KMedia streaming sites started live-streaming from Incheon Intl Airport saying JK was leaving for something, only for JK not to turn up. Then about a week later I saw this tiktok professing that JK and Tae had been in Paris and Spain and had travelled privately:

This was "leaked" by some on twitter who I think claims to work for HYBE, but I don't know for sure. So make of it what you will.

I think we'll occasionally hear about their trips together, most likely as is usually the case, from Tae.

Stage was the first live recording I ever bought with my own money... lawn mowing money that would have been in 1981 or so. At that point I was buying whatever Bowie record the local shop got in and riding home with it on my bike. There was no internet of course, so it was a sort of disorienting way to get to know his music... what came before what? What album is *that* song from? Etc. This record contains some of my favorite Bowie live performances - how cool is Breaking Glass, with those amazing additional bass figures, and that finger snap coda? LOVE. And that reduced tempo hint-of-funk version of What In The World? Groovy. The change of emphasis/rhythm on the lyrics works so well.

I get what they were thinking with the mutilated track order - it hits hard with rockers and hits, eases into this instrumental mid-section, lifted up by an earnest and beautiful version of Heroes and closes with frenetic newer tracks from the 'heroes' record. It plays like something record executives would put together and stamp their Royal Seal of Approval on, but the differences in Bowie's voice/energy level is totally contrary to the feel of a "show" and I'm glad they included an expanded triple LP with accurate show order and new mix. I'm fully aware of the "it's a cash grab!" crowd and I won't pretend to understand that perspective about art.

This has been remastered a couple of times, along with the DVD-A surround treatment, but I've only ever owned an RCA mid-80's reissue I bought in high school, and it is PTD (played to death)

So I am of course thrilled to have this beautiful edition on wonderfully weighty yellow wax mimicking the limited U.K. Edition... (France got blue I think) but unlike the two versions of David Live in the previous box that both vie admirably for top spot - the two presentations of Stage in this box (this version and Stage 2017) the latter, with its natural pacing and arc, is my go-to.

I understand the decision... open the record with Warszawa? Yeah - right. Nope, we have to hit 'em hard with Ziggy and *e a s e* into the new stuff. Apparently this was Visconti’s idea initially, and presented to DB and approved by him. The entire first disk is mainly Ziggy with a couple STS tracks and a nice version of Fame. The second disk lays out the newer material, all from Low and Heroes, and is difficult music beautifully performed.

A new guitarist is added to the pantheon of brilliant DB sidemen, Frank Zappa guitarist Adrian Belew. Again a recommendation from Brian Eno, and after catching a Zappa show in Cologne, Bowie made the offer to snatch him up after that tour concluded. He went on to work with DB/BE for Lodger, and once again on the Sound & Vision Tour. You realize, especially when you move through his discography chronologically, how important it was that Bowie’s lead guitarists all, each and every one, have the ability to make the electric guitar do unusual things and sound very unique. They all have a certain flamboyance and bombast that is a thread throughout DB’s career.

This is a nice remaster from the original edition. Stage always sounded great - especially for a live show - so great in fact, some doubted it’s actual “liveness.” This remaster is a Ray Staff job, assisted by Tony Visconti and as with all the legacy remasters so far, it’s packed with attention to detail and wonderful natural dynamics. Although the 2017 remixed version is superior as a live document of a performance in time, for those of us with very well-played copies from the 70’s and 80’s, and a sense of nostalgia about this track sequence and overall sound - this is a welcome addition to a great box set.
