The sewing theme this june is ‘mori’. I was going to skip it and finish the t-shirts instead. But then I did an image search for ‘mori doll clothes’ because I was curious...

Look at all those cute and frilly dresses! Obviously we need some of those, so I guess I won’t be skipping after all. Now the question is: who will be my victim? Zuzu or Mignon, who both fit the theme? Nameless timtim who could do with some extra clothes? Or Sakiko who looks good in everything I throw at her?

Or I could set the bar really high and decide they all need a dress..?

I was inspired by @izasbjdphoto and wanted to post some of my group shots through the years as my collection has changed a lot.

Even though I started in the hobby in 2008 the first actual group shot I have is from 2010. The dolls in the picture are my first girl DZ Shoyo, I have since given her to my mother as I couldn’t get myself to sell her. My second doll was a MNF Shiwoo girl, which I sold eventually. The other two are DIM Ace (I since learned that boys are not for me) and Pukifee Zoe (which wasn’t the right size for me at the time) All of these dolls are not in my collection anymore

The second shot was from 2014 and still features a lot of the same dolls only Pukifee Zoe was sold and some others were added (DZ Moon, DZ Elsa and Luts Yul elf) This features Isis as the only one who is still around and therefore the doll I have owned the longest.

The next one is from 2016, lots has happened there in a short while as I learned that finding my own style wasn’t a bad thing and I didn’t have to cling to dolls because I once liked them. One of my characters went through a sculpt change and I sold some of the others. This first features Vlindrel my DZ Scorpio and also MNF Juri13 and tan MNF Mio.

The last one is from 2018 and has my current collection besides Rinne who came in after I took that one. Vlindrel (DZ Scorpio), Isis the Rose mage (DZ Moon), Fio (Daydream Grace) and Briala Izetta (Fairyland Realfee Pano)

The other characters that are gone are Ymara (DZ Shoyo and MNF Juri13), Xandria (MNF Shiwoo), Quam (DIM Ace), Pyxel (Pukifee Zoe), Flora (DZ Elsa) and Moira (Luts Yul and tan MNF Mio) none of these are coming back although I might repurpose one of the names as a different character.

This is my journey of over 10 years in this wonderful doll hobby. All these dolls are legit!

Pro BJD Artists - Maddy da Beth Simmons Tramite Flickr: Maddy is a BW PKF Mio She was purchased in-stock from Denver Doll Emporium in October 2015.For those who haven't seen her before, she's a Time Lord (Lady?) and one of my most cherished characters. Being able to make her "real" was a vary big deal for me. And Fairyland made the perfect doll to be her.

Since this months sewing theme is basics I thought I’d try and make some wardrobe staples for my pukifee. I hit a big hurdle though: picking what to make 😂

The pattern pieces laid out are the leg pieces. Pants, leggings, socks... I have patterns for shirts and dresses and pretty much everything else thanks to these two books. Where do I even start?!

Good news is because the pieces are so small I don’t really have to worry about ‘wasting’ fabric. Worst case scenario I have to throw out a few square cm worth of fabric, usually cut form scraps from bigger projects.
