Before getting into this special and one-of-a-kind GP I have an announcement! Now on to this vintage Girard-Perregaux Aero-Compax ref 22441 caliber 285 35mm with a copper colored color change patina dial. It has an engraving to Edward H. Parmer and his number with the Army Air Force (the predecessor to USAF) with an August 4th 1944 date which puts it squarely into World War II. So while it wasn't an officially assigned watch it is one that certainly served. The dial is in great condition; it has just had a total color change due to the radium on the hands and numerals. The case is in equally excellent condition, unpolished and with all bevels intact. It is truly one of the most eye-catching and unique Aero-Compax watches to be found anywhere.
