The main pirate would be Captain Rogers featuring his Nomad look and Bucky as his first mate.

You're a bit of an enigma. Instead of Steve kidnapping or rescuing you, you buy your way onto his ship.

At one point, you’ll be punished for a minor offense. Clapping in irons. Steve has to do it as the captain of the ship, but hates every second of it.

Both of you have a common enemy for different reasons and that enemy will try and take you from Steve. Big mistake.

The two of you fall in love. That’s a fact.

Ahhhh, I'm so sorry I haven't responded to this, but thank you for sending it, pun!

The easiest thing that comes to me is honestly characters! second is worldbuilding. I can conjure up a character within a few minutes with no problem, somehow. It's how I ended up with so many characters in my repertoire! It's genuinely a problem! :D Worldbuilding is second place. I can create a whole new world in my brain to work with really easily!

My favorite part of writing is finishing a writing piece. I struggle with finishing pieces, so when I do, it feels like a MAJOR triumph! Then being able to read it over and be in awe of it... best feeling in the world!

I would love to make a PowerPoint presentation on my most popular fics because I have a strong attachment to them and it gives me serotonin talking about them unfiltered! I can’t promise I will hit the time mark bc knowing me I’d start rambling and we’d be here for an hour 😂

i don't think it's very spontaneous but i suddenly developed some of my WIPs beyond "vibes and slice of life" and added some conflict, some philosophical musings, whatever you call it. i read fic for comfort so my writing reflects that but i think im entering a new era called "maximum whumpage"

My dear Lilo! As a fellow member of the "WHERE THE FUCK DID ALL THESE WIPS COME FROM" club, I have arrived to harass you about your WIPS by asking you to talk about the one you are most excited to write. Have you been researching one in particular? Is there one you can't wait to share that just isn't doing the word? Which WIP belongs in the shamebox of "DO THE WORDS" even though it refuses to?

I’m loving the “WHERE THE FUCK DID ALL THESE WIPS COME FROM” club already.

So many questions, so many answers and I’ll put it under a cut, because this was way longer than I intended for it.

I am in love and adore writing my mobsters and bikers, so far I’ve released 2 full stories and 1 prequel. The 3rd installment was supposed to be part of my own challenge, but I wouldn’t be me if I was running late on it. I love love love writing them, they’re all so different and I like that the characters all have flaws, even my readers. And I adore putting Easter eggs in every part that hint to future stories, some are so teeny tiny, but it’s all there. It started with a very personal story, one I created during therapy about 12 years ago. I still have the somewhat 80% of the story on paper. Some things were cut out, because they didn’t fit in with where it was going. It wouldn’t have gotten more than one part of it wasn’t for @wakingbeauty. She came along and we started brainstorming on future arcs and shaping/integrating more characters into the storyline.

I am very excited to share a Bucky story soon, definitely terrified, because hopefully I’m doing him justice. But it’s definitely exciting, it’s an idea that’s been written out partially for a year now, but since I’ve never written for Bucky before I’ve held off releasing it. And it will finally see the light it deserves very soon.

My viking Freezy story, Life of Runes, makes me research so many things, that I’m questioning myself why I even started writing the damn thing. And it comes to rituals, housing, funerals, fights, military system and ranking. But it’s truly fascinating what you find out and learn along the way. He’s absolutely awful and I’ve kept Freezy that way as he’s an outlet for the rage I felt during a very specific time. It’s also the hardest story/series I’m writing, because I don’t like reading it back and editing the parts.

That brings me to the box of shame. It’s such a massive box that I can categorize them and mostly they’re challenge entries too 🙈. I don’t really have fond memories of signing up and entering challenges as it comes with a trauma. Yet I keep challenging myself into doing them 😅.

The ones that are in there the longest with the most words and practically finished are:

werewolf!Andy ( @slothspaghettiwrites monster challenge - October 2021),

Dark ‘lucky’ invite ( @cockslutpadalecki ‘s lucky challenge- April 2022).

There’s just a lot of anxiety surrounding them to post them. It’s an internal struggle which comes with a lot of overthinking and stress 😅. Challenges aren’t the same as they were for me. I love each and every idea, but I keep on having these freak out sessions. Good times 🙃. They’ll get there eventually and be gifted if the creators still want them, but they take courage and time and for some extreme patience that I can’t apologize enough for.

The story that isn’t doing any of the words apart from literally one introduction line is - 80’s sex line founder Lee Bodecker or Ransom Drysdale (both fit the stereotype in my mind)😂. Just the thought of either of them just sitting there in a wife ‘pleaser’, golden necklace, chewing on a cookies or a donut while watching their ‘callgirls’ reading out dirty scenarios through a phone. Yes it does something I can’t even explain.

Time is not on my side and unexpected life events keep on taking away my scheduled writing time. But I’m trying and I’ll keep swimming in my pile of wips until I drown. But they say that’s a part of adulting.

What poc or inclusive writers would you recommend?

Because I’m getting tired of seeing a person write for a character that i like but they have stuff like “ you blush” and other stuff that shows that this person doesn’t write for everyone. Like how hard is it to not include a description when writing a story that’s supposed to be for “everyone” like last time i check i thought a reader(unless it says what race the reader is) was supposed to be inclusive like it’s so frustrating. Like it’s okay to want to write for your own race but be upfront and says oh this is just for us white people and don’t get made when someone calls you out. For all the white people/ “black” people that are mad at what you said are so butt hurt and for what because nothing you said was wrong. But like they said “a hit dog will holler” because baby they doing a whole lotta hollering.

6:30a Coyotes yipping & yapping behind our house to the left.

The video of my bone dry neglected back yard doesn't really count as "video". This was about recording the coyote sounds. No visuals of the coyotes. They're somewhere in the brush of the open space land behind us. A mix of chaparral shrubland and grasses.

The coyotes just kept talking and talking and talking. What's funny is that an ambulance drove by on the main road down the hill. You guessed it - the siren totally set them off. At first the siren was louder, but I had to do a double take because I swore that the sirens sounded like a whining animal. As the ambulance got further away, the coyotes continued yipping for at least 10 to 15 minutes maybe.

I took video for about a minute, then hubby and I just sat there, ate breakfast and listened to these little guys yip up a storm.

I've never heard coyotes so close to the house before. A couple lots behind us are vacant and across the street from those lots open space continues up the hill and connects as corridors between several large Open Space Preserves, so we have lots of wildlife. One of our neighbors has even caught a mountain lion on their dash cam several months ago. WHOA! So exciting!

You can also hear a red shouldered hawk in the video. Can't see it, but you can hear it. A pair lives in the grove of eucalyptus trees across the street from us. I have enjoyed listening to them daily since the day we moved in 19 years ago.

I've tagged a few buddies who I think might get a kick out of hearing my morning coffee chatter. Specifically — our beautiful community lives all over the world. I feel strongly that the tiny details of our lives make us the same and make us different, and I love to share those. In fact I'm head over heels anytime someone shares little details of life somewhere else: slice of life details. My excitement is both from a personal perspective as well as from a writing and reading perspective.

It depends. I tend to do more research when it comes to writing topics I'm not used to writing. For example, I do more research when it comes to writing angst so then the angst hits just right 😜

Oh yeah I love listening to music while writing!! There isn't an exact song that I listen to bc I tend to make playlists for my fics so I can get in the mood to write. If y'all are interested check out my playlists for my fics 😉

🤗 What advice would you give to new fanfic writers that are just getting started?

I normally don't like giving advice because I feel like whatever advice I give may not be helpful for everyone. But one thing I will say is to not be shy about befriending other writers. I've met so many writers that are some of my closest friends to this day and they're very supportive of what I do even when I write for fandoms they're not necessarily a part of.

As of tomorrow, September 15 (or 16 pretty certain it’s the 15), marks the one year anniversary of my finding that I have epilepsy—amongst a few other things. There are a range of emotions that I’m currently experiencing at a very superficial level at best, but I’m grateful that I’m not worse than the first few months of diagnosis.

Nonetheless, I’d like to thank those who have made my journey a lot more easier and happier. To those who I’ve called family/friends or even kind internet strangers. Thank you. It’s my second birthday.

my favorite part of writing is definitely when the drafting is going well. i used to be able to get into flow state for editing but something shifted in my brain and it's been a bit harder to achieve there too... so definitely drafting.  

i have! ...apparently lol. i tried really hard to wreck people with my short existential and eldritch ficlet "to come together, to come apart" but Keeper (aka @raeality) reports that my ficlet where Samwise thinks about Frodo in the Grey Havens did her in... I don't think of myself as a tear-jerker writer... but I have around 200 things published now and Keeper never cries, so... I guess it must happen occasionally lol i'd like to keep trying. i have two more whumpy fics in the works that i hope will genuinely make people cry. lol
