So every so often I make the (poor) decision to peruse my local craigslist ads to see what's looking good in the neighborhood. Well, today I came across an ad posted by someone who needed to rehome their ball python since they're moving soon and couldn't take her with, and as you all know I'm always more than happy to take in a spider morph if it means keeping one more off of the breeding market...

I handled Nausicaa (our snake) for the first time today and now that she knows there is an “outside” to her enclosure she is very eager to explore lol.

It also took her like a week and a half to figure out she can go inside her hide so she just a little dumb and that’s ok I love her anyway <3

I've been holding my breath for a week and a half, but so help me, my little guy took a f/t mouse like a champ this morning (after about eight strikes and then grabbing it sideways, but he finally got it in there) and dear lord it's been a while since I've been so relieved about a pet.

And now... we wait for poop.

Rye ate her food and then fell asleep in the food bowl 🥺 Her owner is a very good friend of mine who actually has two ball python babies from me! She hasn't picked her up yet just because I like to make 100% sure my babies are started off well and eating with no issue before going home :)
