psc secret santa here again! 🎅
thanks for your answer earlier! will duly keep all that in mind...
if you feel up to it, here are some more Qs--no pressure to answer!
why do you like kevin?
any favourite moments in particular?
how would you rate/rank his eras from fav to least fav? (mclaren, renault, haas pre-2022, sportscar, haas 2022?)
when i think of kmag, i think of aus 2014 and other insane drives--are there any #iconique moments you always come back to?
opinion on dts footage?
i tried to not talk to much but like... if im given the chance to talk about kev by god i will. tucking under the cut <3
oh fuck. where do i even begin. i really just feel like- as far as it goes in f1- he's just pretty grounded. like everything u see in his interviews is just 'this guy is here to race'. he is just some guy who wants to go fast !! and that means that he really feels so much more nonchalant and straightforward to me than other drivers. he does not give a shit just give him a car and let him go. also he's just so. ugh loving towards the people in his life. like he's pretty private but when he talks about his family it just is so <3 also just him being a wet cat introvert is so personal. he's just very contained and keeps to himself and idk its very endearing AND it makes the whole narrative of him being misunderstood and portrayed as this extremely aggressive driver compelling to me. do i get he was a little bitchboy yes however the whole people (esp in dts) acting like he's some bad boy is hilarious when hes just some lil guy. on a more shallow note: he is extremely hot and im so obsessed with his smile (the EYE crinkles!)
there are... way too many but i will try to keep it short and specific. i do love his stanley cup kegstand and the bit in truth or lie where a) romain says kev used pick up lines on him and b) kev talks about lying to his teammate all the time lmao. like.... 1:31 into the spanish test vid where romain is peeking at kev's board. suck my balls incident. fred vasseur giving lil laura a flower and kev playing with laura in his car after bahrain are also <33
favorite to least favorite: haas pre 2022 (romain and him <3), haas 2022, renault, sportscar, mclaren (minus his podium)
some obvious picks from this year: brazil pole, his fight with vettel in the usgp, and bahrain. 2017 singapore battle with ocon and massa is also super super sexy and honestly and his races in 2018 are also <3 but i really cant think of anything that matches the same level of Insanity as his pole and podium.
totally fine! its a treasure trove for kev content
sorry that was so rambling LMAO i hope u have a great week <33

L’UTBM classée 1199ème des meilleures universités mondiales
Tumblr media
Top collage in the world
Determining the "top" collage (assuming you meant "college") in the world can vary depending on various factors such as academic rankings, faculty expertise, research output, facilities, student satisfaction, and more. Some universities consistently rank high in global rankings such as the QS World University Rankings, Times Higher Education World University Rankings, and Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU). As of my last update in January 2022, some of the universities commonly regarded as top institutions include:
Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) - United States
Stanford University - United States
Harvard University - United States
California Institute of Technology (Caltech) - United States
University of Oxford - United Kingdom
University of Cambridge - United Kingdom
ETH Zurich - Swiss Federal Institute of Technology - Switzerland
University College London (UCL) - United Kingdom
Imperial College London - United Kingdom
University of Chicago - United States
These rankings are not static and may change over time due to various factors. It's always a good idea to check the latest rankings and consider other factors such as program offerings, location, and personal fit when choosing a college or university.

The excellence of research and higher education in Brazil: Deconstructing unfounded stereotypes
The distorted perception of some Portuguese about the quality of higher education and Brazilian research demands a critical and evidence-based analysis. This article aims to deconstruct unfounded stereotypes and present concrete data that highlight the excellence of Brazilian academia. It is common to hear from Portuguese people the devaluation of Brazilian universities, based on stereotypes such as the supposed low quality of teaching, the lack of scientific rigor, and the irrelevance of national scientific production. Such claims, besides being unfounded, ignore the vibrant and dynamic reality of the Brazilian educational system.
To demystify these stereotypes, I present concrete data that prove the excellence of higher education and Brazilian research:
International rankings: QS World University Rankings 2024: USP (University of São Paulo) is ranked 85th, while the University of Porto is at 253rd, and the best Portuguese university, the University of Lisbon, is at the 266th position. Unicamp (State University of Campinas) and UFRJ (Federal University of Rio de Janeiro) also stand out in the 220th and 371st positions respectively among the best in the world.
Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2024: USP ranks in the 201–250 bracket, followed by Unicamp in the 251–300 bracket and UFRJ in the 401–500 bracket. Again, no Portuguese university is found among the top 200 in the world.
Scientific Production: Scopus: In 2022, Brazil was the 13th country in scientific production worldwide, with more than 280,000 articles published. Portugal ranked 38th, with about 60,000 articles.
Web of Science: Brazil also stands out in the quality of scientific production, ranking 14th in citations per article. Portugal is in the 36th position.
Areas of Distinction: Brazil has a strong tradition in research areas such as agriculture, biomedicine, engineering, and physics.
Brazilian researchers are leaders in studies on tropical diseases, biodiversity, and biofuels.
International Recognition: Several Nobel Prizes have been awarded to Brazilian scientists, such as Carlos Chagas (Medicine, 1929) and Peter Doherty (Physiology or Medicine, 1996).
The Brazilian Academy of Sciences (ABC) is a member of the International Council for Science (ICSU), which brings together the leading science academies of the world.
Contrary to what some Portuguese may believe, Brazil has a quality higher education system and a vibrant and productive research sector. Brazilian universities are internationally recognized for their excellence in various areas, and their students and professors are highly qualified. It is crucial to refute unfounded stereotypes about higher education in Brazil and promote recognition of the quality and relevance of Brazilian research in the international academic community.

The same survey notes that almost 80% of all international graduates opting to study in Ireland were in employment within nine months of graduating.
Affordable Tuition Fees
The standard of education in Ireland reflects in its global rankings. What boosts its appeal among prospective international students include its comparatively more affordable tuition fees. In the UK, the average tuition fees fall around €24,780, for undergraduate programs. In comparison, undergraduate program costs to study in Ireland average around €14,675 annually for international students.
Work Placement Opportunities
The industry focus of Irish universities’ programs reflects in their work placement programs. The University of Limerick, for instance, offers the country’s biggest work placement program. This also happens to be one of the biggest programs of its kind in Europe!
Work placements are fantastic opportunities to let students get hands-on work experience to supplement their learning in classrooms. These are components of your curriculum, and your university will often support you in securing a great role. Leading companies like PwC Ireland and KPMG offer work placement programs for university students every year.
There is no substitute for hands-on work experience, and by graduating with some under your belt, you enter the workforce with a competitive edge.
Rounding Up
Ireland is set to become as popular a higher education destination as other European countries like the UK and Germany. It embodies all the factors that make up a great study abroad destination, from excellent universities, career-ready programs, affordable costs, and more.
... #notizie #news #breakingnews #cronaca #politica #eventi #sport #moda Read the full article

Studying in the United Kingdom: A Gateway to Excellence
A globally recognized academic achievement is the United Kingdom which stands as an inspiration to the brightest students from all around the world. Along with its millenary past, universities that are admired the world over, and technologically advanced labs, the UK presents as an exclusive place to study. This paper examines the reasons why studying in the UK is a turning point in the journey of creating one's future.
Tumblr media
A Tradition of Academic Excellence
The United Kingdom is a country of the oldest and most prestigious universities on the planet which is one of the reasons why it is so special. Oxford and Cambridge, colleges from the 11th and 13th centuries respectively are consistently named among the best worldwide. In fact, in the aforementioned ranking of the 2024 QS World University, it is said that four UK universities are included in the top 10:
1. University of Cambridge
2. University of Oxford
3. Imperial College London
4. University College London
However, the country's schooling excellence is not only attributed to these ancient establishments. The UK has the highest number of 90 universities out of the top 1000 of the world that procure a wide variety of courses and diverse topics.
- 83% of UK graduates feel their degree was worth the investment
Furthermore, the recent changes to temporary post-study work visas allow international students to work and stay in the UK for up to two years after graduating (three years for doctoral students), gaining beneficial work experience in a global economic hot spot of the world.
Cultural Experiences and Travel Opportunities
Besides their proficiency in academics, the United Kingdom has a wealth of cultural exposure. There's something for everyone when it comes to historical ruins of times past and world-renowned art museums, peppy music concerts, and a variety of different foods that one can savor. The relatively small size of the country and the availability of an extensive network of both roads and railways simplify:
- Seeing 32 different UNESCO World Heritage sites
- Getting lost in 15 different National Parks
- Sailing into 4 different countries (England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland) where everyone has a different culture and customs
Additionally, the UK's location provides it with the best position to head to Europe with ease, as many places are just a short flight or train ride away.
Financial Considerations and Support
Nevertheless, going to school in the United Kingdom is a big move, but it is at the same time the right decision to make with funding sources available to students:
- In 2021-2022, more than £6.5 billion was made available in financial aid for higher education students
- The British government runs scholarships like the Chevening Scholarships which are the most prestigious kinds of awards
- Many universities have a range of scholarships and bursaries to help international students
Further, most undergraduate degrees are designed in the UK to fit into just three years (in Scotland, it's four), which may lead to less expensing than in other countries.
But with all things considered, a degree from a UK school is not just a piece of paper, it's a stepping stone to a brighter future. While the government arranges the university awards due to academic quality, research possibilities, cultural mix, and employment options, the UK remains a university haven for intellectuals around the world.
Cozy Student Accommodation
Here you approach a very sustainable and fulfilling life if you choose a nice living space. Here is how Uninist works. Uninist, a top student housing provider, offers a wide range of cozy, safe, and well-situated accommodations scattered around the UK. Their accommodations are built as per the distinctive demands of students making Zimbabwe the ideal launching point for your UK academic experience.
Quantifying your choice to go for your studies in the UK is more than just having the needed information – you are finding your way to many doors of possibilities. Moreover, it is a deep learning curve that opens doors for self-discovery and sets the tone for your future success.
