[Hi! This is a new ask/art blog for married Sonadow. Asks will be answered with doodles, comics, and sometimes even animations. So have fun and send some asks!

Their personalities are gonna be based loosely on Adventure Era, in the sense that I’ve taken SA2 Sonic and Shadow and jumped forward a few years to when they’re married. This is to say, they’re mean but deeply in love. They're following mostly game canon but I'll borrow bits from other media too.

1) Why do you think the old world vampiress in Romania jumped into the fire after meeting Claudia and Louis??

2) Why did Armand lie to Louis about his participation in the final play? why did he even want to be with Louis if he felt so much contempt for him?? And I'm hoping this will be answered next season but why did Lestat partake?( I read somewhere else that it was purely to save Louis)

3) A bit of a Naive question, but Do you think Louis and Lestat ever live Happily ever after??( well as happy as raging vampires can be??) god I hope so

To your questions:

I think... the dream was just too beautiful, and she was too jaded, and the pain of losing all her fledglings was too great. She could not go forward anymore, if that makes sense. It is a risk for these vampires, many do not "get old" because of not having the power, but because they commit suicide, because they cannot bear their life anymore.

Armand... wanted to keep the little love he had there. Which is something I can understand. As Assad said Armand saw Louis as a "vessel" for his own needs, but there was also love there, and Armand is starving for love. And unfortunately the goes about getting/keeping it in the worst way possible, if you will. He lied to Louis to minimize the risk of losing him. And I don't think he feels contempt, because I do think Armand felt hurt by the way Louis treated him, and that is why he wanted to kill him with the play in the first place. As per Lestat... well, Lestat could not not be there. With Louis and Claudia, not after he knew where they were - and in what situation. And he did try to shift the blame to himself (for Claudia's making), he admitted to his wrongdoings there (fighting with and dropping Louis), and he did try to save Louis. I am not sure how much of that could be planned - but it was always intended, if that makes sense. And yes, I bet we will get more information to all that next season.

Well, book canonically they do :)) - and I do expect it in the show as well. The show is built on their relationship, and it already foreshadowed the dance they dance in the last book in s1. If we get our seasons, they will do so in the show as well :)

my favorite coldflash episode is probably infantino street. it felt like the writers showing us a glimpse of what could've been in an almost painful way but i just love watching them work together and it was a beautiful farewell to a beloved character that acknowledged how important these two were for each other. we could've had it all... but at least we'll always have infantino street

my favorite barry episode is a tie between 'the runaway dinosaur' and 'the last temptation of barry allen' (tho i haven't watched the show beyond s6 yet so always subject to change)

What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? i love a happy ending!! my series Odysseus in White Silk is probably the happiest ending, and in such an undeserved way hahaha it's so very AU because i was sad after s1 of the show and just wanted them all (and armandaniel) to live happily ever after

8. Do you get hate on fics? i dont think i ever have, but i tend to read comments in good faith too, so maybe someone out there is annoyed that i interpreted their vague dislike comment as a genuine comment or something, idk. in general though, i'll say no

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind? yes but i dont post that often, idk if there's a particular kind, but generally it tends to be a little rougher than is probably appropriate without discussion in real-life situations, but also very...idk my friend described it as very tender, like theyre very clearly in love. which is so funny considering that that kind of tenderness irl gives me fucking hives lmfao

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written? oh wow, not in a long time. i do have a wip sitting around rn that's a crossover between london spy and cloud atlas, which is really crazy until you remember that ben whishaw is in both london spy and the cloud atlas movie lol. and cloud atlas is already about weird reincarnations and parallel worlds and stuff, so it isnt too out-there.

14. What’s your all time favorite ship? all-time? probably merlin/arthur from merlin (bbc). it's the whole fate-destiny-choice thing, it just compels me like nothing else

What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? hmmm, i would like to finish Roswell -- well, kinda (agent carter farm girl / alien crash landing au) because i still have all the original notes and outlines and stuff. i also made a shitty conlang when i was first writing it, which is crazy lol. but it would need some pretty serious revisions, and i would definitely rewrite the first few chapters that i posted years ago. i just kind of lost the agent carter bug, but i might return to that fic if i ever get in the mood for it again.

16. What are your writing strengths? ooh, i'm not really sure! i get a lot of comments mentioning characters' voices and/or personalities, so i would say maybe that!!! i also feel that i'm fairly good at mimicking an author's writing style when i want to (notably, i do not mimic anne rice when writing vc fic, lol)

What are your writing weaknesses? editing for sure. i have at least a hundred fics sitting on my hard drive fully or almost-fully written that i just need to edit. but i would simply rather die than do all of that. it's also why my whole merlin fic got put on pause while i went down the vc rabbithole, because i just can't bring myself to go edit the next chapters lol

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic? hmm, i think it's usually unnecessary and comes off as a bit silly. that said, i did do it once (maybe excessively) in Daniel Molloy, Time Bandit (1984 daniel ends up in 1794 theatre des vampires, it's more of a character study than a time travel fic) BUT, let me defend myself -- i did it because daniel doesnt understand french, it's his pov, and he's incredibly confused and distraught for most of the fic. i felt like the dialogue being in french conveyed this sort of "daniel does not belong in this time/place" vibes. but, also, my french is...a little rough. so i'm sure it's an annoying fic for french readers lmao

Favourite fic you’ve written? ok, i have three different answers for this. the fic i think is the best, objectively, in terms of writing and content: The Story of Dani [...] (r63 devil's minion from armand's pov, starting with lestat's house). the fic i am the proudest of, mostly because it was my first "big" fic (it's funny now, bc it's only 41k) and i feel like i grew a lot as a writer while working on it, and i'm still happy with it: The Face of God (les mis pov javert, character study from childhood). the fic i have the most fun with and think about almost 24/7: Arthur Pendragon, Long May She Reign (r63 merthur, canon divergence, this is like a 4-part series that's currently over 300k lmao)

okay so... we do agree that the most sense for the first scene of season 3 is to show in some way the fall, right? we saw the before, we saw the after (as in eden), we now need to know why there was this schism in the first place

and so, my question is, since i've just finished rewatching the job episode - what do you think, in gomens' universe, is the point of that schism? why did the fall happen? why was there a Great War? who started the war, was the war just between the different angels? who actually cast the losing side away?

the whole bit with "an angel/demon who goes along with Heaven/Hell as far as he can" really made me think about this all. plus, i personally would find it very satisfying to finally find out at least a little bit of context of why this separation happened in the first place for the moment (i hope) when the whole system is finally broken down and dismantled

hey lovely!!!✨ i do think it will open with some reference to the fall (as you said, imo it makes the most narrative, poetic, and thematic sense!!!), but i also feel like a lot of the show's answers are going to be within the fall, so idk if we'll see all of it in the beginning cold open, or if some will be continued towards the end of the series?

as for the fall questions, wowzers, i'll do my best to answer what i potentially think could factor in here, although they may not answer your qs outright!!!✨ and probably link to some other specs/metas that ive had jumbling around!!!

i think aziraphale knew or suspected something about why it would be risky to question god; maybe not that the fall was already bandied about as a concept, but maybe that there were Things Afoot that made him think that going against her will and plan could be bad news

i think that god is ultimately a very neutral, very amoral party. i don't think she is good or bad, right or wrong, well-meaning or malicious; she just is. i even possibly think that the ineffable plan, if there is even such a thing like she says in s1, is that she has no plan at all. everything is up to everyone else. (don't really have a singular meta on this, but perhaps a bit of this and that)

metatron is the Big Bad. dunno why, necessarily (ie what are his motivations other than Power?), but i think when god goes AWOL somewhere between job (or maybe actually after golgotha?) and present day, he fills the void and acts like he is still the voice of god, that he is still receiving orders. (again, no singular meta on this, and ive kinda got it sprinkled across many posts tbh!!!)

so with those kind of things in mind, here are my possible thoughts (not committing to any singular one) on the fall and the schism you've mentioned.

the fall was not necessarily meant to be what it turned out to be. i think ultimately angels came to god asking questions, or questioning her and her Ineffability, or the plan, whatever.

god wanted all of her creation to have free will. if that free will was to break away from heaven and from her, and act in their own interest, under their own orders, by their own conscience, i don't think she ever had an issue with this. even if - in the presumed case of lucifer - the intention was to break away as a direct challenge to god, to have the same power as god, i similarly don't think she wanted to stop this. that is literally free will. so she does nothing to stop whatever happens when they choose to break away.

metatron however has other ideas; heaven is good, and is correct, and is right. anyone who even questions it, even if out of love and devotion to god, those who just want to understand, were forfeit. god has removed herself from the picture, not even there at the (literal? figurative?) trial, so metatron acts as judge, jury, and executioner. in some cases, i think there were angels who were pushed, not fallen.

we know there was a war, but i think it was out of the angels that remained 'on heaven's side' being told lies about their fellow angels - told that these defectors were actively working against god to jeopardise her creations and her plans. that heaven will fall if they are not cast out. conflict ensues - from their perspective - to protect the sanctity of heaven.

then, possibly, i think a memory wipe kinda thing did happen, but specifically on the events of the fall. i do also wonder if this is where the book of life comes into play, but not overly confident (on any of this, really)

and ultimately i think the whole concept of true free will might have been god's plan - if you can call Nothing a plan - all along? that she completely steps back, and let's heaven and humanity kinda work it out for themselves.

like, this is the kinda stuff that i hope they reveal later on s3; crowley falling with lucifer, and possibly meeting aziraphale again etc. would, imo, be great for the ep1 cold open, but the actual events of the fall i think needs to be the belter that comes out in maybe ep5 or 6. obviously i haven't gone into where i think crowley and aziraphale may slot within all of this, but most things can be found in my masterpost anyway, or indeed happy to summarise for anyone who wants it!!!✨

4. Is there a specific episode that was especially fun to work on?

the most fun episodes in SBR were always the ones with other performers, especially the ones which we managed to have the big rehearsals for. S2's 35 was a big one for that, and the S1 & S2 finales. Just good vibes, honestly!!

my favourite episode of Clockwork Bird to work on was the one where Shelly rescues the hamster. I loved writing all the bonkers conspiracy board stuf, that was so fun, and Daisy did a great job with the performance there, it was so fun to edit. I was also just properly getting into the rhythm of sound design by that stage too, it was a good time!

so far my favourite episode of NQD to work on was the opening of S3. I'm really proud of how it turned out and it's such a fun little idea. but I also had a lot of fun with episode 38 which I have to say my be my favourite of the season?? I know it's not good to have favourite children but I've loved every bit of this one, from concept to execution, I just hope everyone else likes it when it comes out!!

2. Hmm, does this mean a scene where they are are both present? In that case I think the fight between them in ep 12 was pretty cool.

3. It'd have to be Sharper. A honorable mention to Cullen & his bestie at the police station.

4. Oof. Idk if this counts as development but Rebecca. Watching first couple of episodes I would never have guessed what she was up to.

More loaded answer is that anytime he is on screen I get sad because he is a living and brwatging reminder of all the trauma Harvey had to live thru. In a sense I don't really see him as this separate character to Harvey. It's just his defence mechanism that he has to build because of all the shit things he went thru as a kid.

9. Well, I'd reveal at the end of S1 that Bruce is somehow alive just to have him and Harvey slip eachother tongue in s2 😌 (Bruce is played by Jackles, obviously)

10. S2 setup was so good it made me even more mad that the show got cancelled. I would have loved to see how Harvey's story would have continued as well as if he and Duela would have had any kind of a relationship in the future. Turner getting abducted also has me super hooked. Too bad well never see where that goes! Also I wanted to see mor of Sharper being superhero girlfriends!

Konsep Rezeki

Dan tidak ada suatu binatang melata pun di bumi melainkan Allah-lah yang memberi rezekinya, dan Dia mengetahui tempat berdiam binatang itu dan tempat penyimpanannya. Semuanya tertulis dalam Kitab yang nyata (Lauh mahfuzh) (QS. Hud : 6)

Soal rezeki, Allah itu Maha Baik. Kadang, bukan kadang lagi sih, matematikanya Allah sama matematikanya manusia itu beda. Rumah ini, semua kebutuhannya selalu 'pas', pas butuh pas ada, pas cukup. Dulu pas kuliah S1 dibarengi sama kakak yang lagi kuliah S2. UKT nya ndak dikit, yang bekerja cuma Ibu, PNS Guru golongan IVA, kebayang lah gajinya berapa. Hehe. Tapi Alhamdulillah lulus. Kalo di hitung pake matematikanya manusia jelas ga masuk akal. Tapi bisa. Ini matematikanya Allah.

Pernah suatu saat aku mengkhawatirkan tentang uang karena baru banget ngitung pengeluaran bulanan. Pas itu udah kerja di klinik, udah jualan ayam, udah jualan puding. Masalah makan sehari-hari bisalah dari keuntungan jualan ayam dan puding. Tapi, masalah kebutuhan rumah yang lain yang belum masuk di budget. Hehe. Sempet kepikiran "Yaa Allah, ini beneran aku hidup pake duit segini?" Tiba-tiba, hari itu juga siangnya dihubungi sama RSUD, diminta datang, diminta kerja lebih awal. MasyaAllah.

Pas mau lebaran, entah H-4 atau H-5, di klinik, sempet ngebatin "Yaa Allah, ini mau lebaran kok aku ga pegang duit." Ada rasa khawatir, jujur, yaa namanya lebaran, kalau masalah baju lebaran, udah dari jaman SMP aku gapernah beli baju baru untuk lebaran. Selalu pake baju terbaik yang ada di lemari saja. Hehe. Tapi lebaran tetep butuh dana banyak, karena dianggap udah kerja, berpenghasilan, dan tampak seperti tidak ada tanggungan (belum berkeluarga). Sekitar 10 menit setelahnya, ibu yang punya klinik masuk ke ruang periksa. Bawa bingkisan. Sama bawa amplop. Isinya ngga sedikit. Cukup untuk lebaran. Yaa Allah, rasanya mau nangis pas itu.

Malu banget sama Allah. Kenapa aku masih mengkhawatirkan hal-hal yang sudah pasti aku dapatkan. Bahkan binatang melata yang bersembunyi pun Allah berikan rezekinya. Rezeki itu pasti. Takarannya pas, timing nya pas. Tergantung sudut pandang kita, mau mensyukuri itu atau tidak. Hehe.

Tapi, walau rezeki itu pasti tetep harus ikhtiar. Barangkali Allah kasi rezeki kita A, tapi karena kita ikhtiarnya lebih, dikasi nya jadi A+B, apalagi kalo kita bersyukur mungkin Allah kasihnya A+B+C. Jangan lupa, berbagi! Hehe.

Semoga Allah berikan kita rezeki yang halal, yang cukup, yang tidak membutakan, yang baik jika masuk ke tubuh. Agar suatu saat jika punya anak-anak bisa tumbuh dengan baik dari rezeki yang halal.

okay watched all of season 1 of yellowjackets in one day, and i have some ~thoughts~

-my biggest gripe is the handful of nameless girls in the wilderness that are in some scenes but not others. like wtf were they doing when that bacchanalian orgy/sacrifice was happening??? or when laura lee was setting off in the plane? or when jackie was freezing to death? where do they hang out, what are they doing? from a continuity standpoint it just bugs me. a lot. it feels sloppy. maybe these are characters we've yet to meet, but the wilderness setting just doesnt need extras, it could just focus on the main cast. everyone you see is important to the plot, which it doesn't feel like. which is weird!! to me!!!

-idk how i feel about the ~it could be real, it could be spiritual~ thing. at some point its going to feel like you have to pick a lane, this waffling will get tired. like some stuff i can understand (esp re: lottie being off her schizophrenia meds), but the bear scene was. i'm sorry. extremely cheesy. i was hoping it was going to be revealed that it was a shared delusion/hallucination and that it was actually javi or something. but it was just so weird. and not in an intriguing way, in a "well, okay then i guess" way. like 1 stab to a bear is NOTHING omg

-so like my qs now is who is still involved with lottie's cult present day? did misty break away, is she playing both sides, etc. did adam (if that's his real name) have any connection to this cult? offering shauna a trip to a cabin in the woods.... hmmm. and who else was rescued?

-otherwise it's fun. but i swear severance has spoiled me for extremely tight plots where minor details are intentional and that rewards viewers attention. i sound like a bitch but i didnt really feel that here. like it's fun and the cult element and the slow reveal of just what these girls did is intriguing, but there's just too much continuity and pacing issues for me to be like. over the moon in love. you know. lacks some polish. i just feel like some of the theories i read online that are very interesting are going to amount to nothing bc the writers havent planned things out that thoroughly and said theories rely on such minute details that won't matter or be taken into account a la lost

i'm still going to watch s2, but i'm not as excited about that as i was about starting s1 which is. hmm.
