Something I love about qsmp is that, whether intentionally or not, the eggs represent an under appreciated language and aspect of languages: Nonverbal communication such as writing and body language (or hand signing, if you take the signs literally)

And communication with the eggs being so essential to the islanders prompts other situations like when someone is having a mic or headphone problem and people will default to egg-like expressive body language or signs to continue to communicate even without spoken language!
