Hercules (Heracles) in Duckverse - Disney parody and literature - Louie Duck as Hercules, Gosalyn as Megara, Negaduck as Hades, Donald as Zeus - Ancient Greek mythology - Darkwing Duck, Quack Pack, Ducktales and Duck comics -Duckverse - History in Duckverse - My version and my style - Happy birthday to me!

This was actually my first drawing in 2025, but for some reason I didn't finish it until my birthday. I have an idea to depict my favorite characters (from the Disney Duckverse of course) in certain literature and Disney movies in which they could act. I've already done one related to Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, this time I did one related to one of my favorite and best Disney animated movies, which is Hercules from 1997. Although of course it's not historically or mythologically accurate, I definitely liked this parody so I decided to draw my favorite characters who would act in Hercules. By the way, for those who don't know Hercules (or Heracles in Greek, since Hercules is a Roman name), he was the son of Zeus and Alcmene and a descendant of Perseus and was one of the greatest Greek heroes ever celebrated in Greek mythology, only to be adopted by the Romans as their hero. His famous 12 difficult tasks that he performed amazed many to be celebrated like him, although of course Hercules did it to correct the sins he committed. Disney later did it in its own way by making a movie in 1997 and a series in 1998.

For Hercules, I took Louie Duck from Quack Pack, since he is mostly an athlete and was muscular (Captain Muscle who remembers T-Squad), and for Megara, I took Gosalyn Mallard from Darkwing Duck, only here she grew up like Louie who is Hercules. With the difference that Gosalyn is more warlike than Megara. Drake Mallard from Darkwing Duck is Philoctetes (Phil), a satyr and trainer of heroes including Hercules, and he has a bit of an idiotic ego, but still likes to help others. XD Negaduck is the ancient Greek god Hades, the ruler of the underworld, as he loves death, chaos and wants to rule Olympus, and is also constantly angry. The Fearsome Four (Quackerjack, Megavolt, Liquidator and Bushroot) are Pain and Panic as Hades' servants, little devils who cause trouble. Launchpad McQuack is the ancient Greek god Hermes, the messenger of the gods and the spreader of messages, and he often flies. Unlike Hermes, Launchpad is very clumsy. And of course Donald Duck as Zeus, as the father of Hercules, the ancient Greek god of lightning and the ruler of the world and the lord of Olympus. I was thinking between Scrooge and Donald, but I decided on Donald, since Donald also likes to throw lightning when he's angry (I took inspiration from the classic short "Trombone Trouble" from 1944) and is often with girls, not his wife. Yes, his wife is Hera, and since he is the protector of his nephews, he is also Hercules' father here. I mostly drew how they wore clothes in Ancient Greece, plus Louie is holding a seven-headed hydra, which was one of Hercules' labors, and since this year is the year of the snake, I made sure to do this. I have some ideas that could play the ancient Greek gods and heroes in my Duckverse version, but more on that another time. I would definitely prefer that over the Ducktales 2017 version of Olympus (sorry). It would definitely be good to see Louie as Hercules vs. Storkules.

Wanna briefly talk about the fact i'm kinda sad we didn't get a quackerjack circus episode in dwd. I mean, he's based off a jester, which is the predecessor to the clown, and I think that a spooky circus themed episode would've been really fun. Gosalyn goes to the circus with Honker and dw is forced to come along, and at every stand they go to, Quackerjack is there. and idk maybe it's a whole money scam, but I think he put a lot of time and effort into this circus. I could see him as the "all the world's a stage and I am simply the greatest entertainer" type. May write a fic about this idk
