I gotta say I’m pretty happy with the planning I managed to do beforehand for this fic, because I’ve had a good clear idea of what I wanted from the start - didn’t want to make the mistake of getting tangled up in loose ends again. The only thing I remember discussing with my co-conspirator thorinkingoferebor was making Thorin even more emotionally constipated and thinking for a while in the beginnings of his crush on Bilbo that Bilbo actually likes Dis and that’s why he hangs out around them so much. didn’t go for it in the end, and am glad of it, I gotta say.

another thing was the age of Fili and Kili - I still wonder to this day if I should have made them older, late teens or even more, and make them star as the athenian kids opposite Tauriel and Legolas. could have been fun.

☄ - what the writing process is like

pretty straigthforward, thank god. this fic doesn’t give me as much grief as ngcs did - it’s currently my comfort zone when it comes to writing, and I don’t feel like I’m repeating myself or losing track of the story, which is refreshing. so I usually just sit down with a cup of coffee in my room in the evening and type about sweet dumbasses in love - it’s fun.

languages i've been learning or want to learn: japanese and german. I want to learn finnish. Maybe khuzdul. Probably all of them if i had a head for it tbh

favourite language to listen to OOooooo hard one I'd have to say the Sami languages(dialects?). Love the sound of them.
