still thinking about how Eli and his horse were dancing in circles, kicking up a dust storm because he couldn’t decide whether to disappear or to turn right around in search of Cornelia. he always told her about how he didn’t believe in destiny, about how we’re only here for a moment—life’s a whole lot of aiming. one miss. but in that moment that all disappeared. i think if he hadn’t heard her voice he would have chosen her. even if it meant his life.

this narrative hits me so hard because it’s a love story that is destined for tragedy, which is only realized more clearly as the series progresses. it’s two people who have experienced their own unique and excruciatingly long lifetimes of pain/suffering who have finally found love within the other, something they never thought they’d ever find again. and then it’s all taken away. we only see this a few times in the series but I think Chaske Spencer is especially brilliant and cruel when he manages to make the same expression every time he embraces Cornelia, which is one of extreme pain. tormented by her embrace, and agony to be separated.

Why can't people be happy for other people's ships?

I'm a Johnlocker with all my heart but I also run a Facebook page where I allow all ships and absolutely every time I need to remove a member , which is luckily not a regular occurrence it is about badmouthing other fan's ships.

Is it so difficult to mind your own business and tolerate other peoples happiness?

I love Sherlock and John and others love Sherlock and Molly or Irene.

I couldn't care less and I'm happy they have found their ship.

A member of my group is a writer of Mystrate fiction.

I love her, she is great but I can't stand Mycroft so I never read her stories.

Do you not feel strange when discussing incest ships with your sibling? I don't think I could do the same without feeling like something is wrong (they don't like those ships anyway, only I do, but still. Even if they did, it would feel wrong I think to discuss incest ships with someone related to me)

No, I don't feel strange when discussing FICTIONAL incest or problematic content with my sister. My sister is my best friend, and we both just happen to like problematic fictional content. We talk about our interests and fandom spaces because we are close and our relationship is healthy.

But that doesn't mean that I can't differentiate between what is taboo and what is not, or between fiction and reality.

I'm a level-headed adult that can discuss transgressive fictional tropes like an adult and know it has nothing to do with my real-life inclinations.

To answer your question, talking about fictional incest doesn't make me want to FUCK my sister like it's sweet home Alabama, so I don't appreciate what you are implying or insinuating.

If you feel "strange" about discussing transgressive fictional tropes with your siblings, then maybe I should have the nerve to anonymously question the nature of the relationship that you have with them.

Like, it’s ok for people to not be comfortable talking about this stuff with your sibling - but that doesn’t mean other people’s relationships are the same! If you’re comfortable to talk about these topics that’s great — but it’s also not a reflection or indication that something incestuous is actually going on lmao. It’s such a bizarre take.
