Headcanon A:  realistic

he's lactose intolerant. his preferences in fake milk are as follows: soy, macadamia, pistachio, almond, coconut. i think, like all good lactose intolerant people, he occasionally caves and drinks one of those banana milk things for children made from real dairy, and immediately panics and takes 12 lactaid.

Headcanon B: while it may not be realistic it is hilarious

i think he's extremely meticulous with grooming and has learned from youtube to thread his own eyebrows, trim his bangs, and give himself manicures. like i think he owns a full set of clippers, hair shears, nippers, tweezers, extractors etc like his bathroom cabinet is basically a sally's beauty supply. i also think he is the type to drop a rack on gadgets like the nuface and the foreo luna. but he won't wear makeup because that's for GIRLS >:(

Headcanon C: heart-crushing and awful, but fun to inflict on friends

i have already talked your ear off about this but i will say it until i'm blue in the face. light is always on the verge of tears. i truly believe, in my heart of hearts, that he excuses himself from various stressful situations to cry in the bathroom, splash his face with cold water, and then rally like it never happened.

Headcanon D: unrealistic, but I will disregard canon about it because I reject canon reality and substitute my own.

might be ooc based on canon!light but i literally do not care at all: he's into Weird Fashion Guys. like the guys who wear techwear and cyberpunk style. like anything he wouldn't be caught dead wearing himself makes him salivate but he would never admit it. also he once saw L with a tiny ponytail and immediately blacked out.

🍭why did you start writing?

god, I don't even remember. I know I've been writing since elementary school. I just remembered a Forbidden Memory of me being in...fourth? fifth? grade and writing a few pages of my own sequel to Harry Potter before I even had the slightest clue what fanfiction was. I've been writing both original work and fanfiction for...well, since I was young, which is actually not that long because I'm still young. I guess I've always had stories that I want told and I want to be the one to tell them! So, I guess your answer is too much time, paper, and imagination.

💞 what's the most important part of a story for you? the plot, the characters, the worldbuilding, the technical stuff (grammar etc), the figurative language

This question made me have to sit and contemplate for a bit. I think it's a mix between characters and worldbuilding. Whenever I write fic, I try to take particular care to really focus on a character and write them in a way that's both consistent with canon and feels like I'm flexing my characterization skills as a writer. In my original work, a lot of the themes and plot stem from the characters, not the other way around. As for worldbuilding, I'm a huge worldbuilding nerd. Even when writing canon compliant fics, I think a lot about the internal logic of the world I'm writing in, what I want to keep, what I want to alter/justify, and what I want to toss. And, of course, how that meshes with the story I'm writing. In my original work, my worldbuilding is the part I have the most fun with. Like, the setting for my current original wip is really insane and atmospheric and something I'm super proud of and have thought through a lot...and the three main characters in it are ones I'm super proud of...but...but I don't have a plot...send help. please. dear god i wanted to actually write it this summer but ive only written like 10k because of all the goddamn anti trans legislation ive been reading for a month....ANYWAY

22. Favourite part of canon that everyone ignores:

Something I find sorely missing from a lot of fanfiction in particular is just how much the series makes me lol on a regular basis. And somehow I feel like a lot of fans think the humour in it only comes from clowning on the series rather than the series actually being intentionally funny itself? Maybe because it's also so dark, but I think especially when you're reading the manga it's just so very obviously tongue-in-cheek and being intentionally silly and ridiculous half the time as much as it's ever trying to say something deep or angsty or serious or sad or dark.

ok i hug u, i pick u up, i spin u around <3 here is an outfit that is important to me because im obsessed with the kompromat-verse. im literally an insane person so i always have an outfit, a hair style, and a fragrance for them in every universe:

kompromat!L is wearing the reiss brighton cropped trousers & an outrageously expensive jil sander white button down but i need u to know and understand that it's like. very wrinkled, sleeves rolled up, he did NOT dry clean this as per the instructions. he washed it and then it was smashed at the bottom of his laundry basket for a week. as for fragrance he's wearing ds durga steamed rainbow which, to me, smells like wet pavement. he's wearing plain black wing tips for shoes.

kompromat!light is wearing a beggars' run made to measure suit in blue seashell wool and a somewhat out-of-trend pair of brown monkstrap shoes. this was kind of a flash-in-the-pan trend in the mid 2010s & i feel like light is very hot but not actually in style so he's hanging on to these. also as i mentioned in the fic he is wearing a blue faced piaget polo s watch. the polo s looks like a knockoff of the patek nautilus, which is much more expensive and rare, and L clocks that immediately. the blue face is kind of weird because the watch face & suit are close, but not identical in color- he's relying on being conventionally attractive rather than actually stylish. so sorry, light. as for fragrance i brainrotted on this a little bit and i think he's wearing house of creed neroli sauvage which is a very citrusy, bitter floral scent that i would describe as "aggressively androgynous." very hot and sexy imo. i have this headcanon that light smells amazing idk i hope youre all on board with that!!!
