Hi! The bloom scene adaptation sensitivity is what I'm guessing you're talking about? The options are to set it from 0.00 to 1.00. What this setting does is decide whether bloom applies the same strength all the time no matter the lighting conditions, or if it adapts to the lighting situation, getting stronger or less strong whatever it thinks will look best. 0 = no adaptation (i.e. the same strength all the time) and 1 = complete adaptation (i.e. the bloom will adapt 100% to the lighting conditions).

In practice setting it to 0 means that sometimes your bloom settings might look too bright if the scene has more light in it than when you originally created the settings, or too dark if it has less. Setting adaptation to 1 tries to equalise everything so you get a consistent amount of bloom no matter the scene.

Now, you'd think setting it to 1 is a no-brainer in that case. Not necessarily! It depends how much manual control you like to have over bloom, and also what you're using the bloom for.

For example, I only ever use quint_bloom as a quick way to increase exposure (this isn't what that shader is intended for, but I like the results it gives). I have bloom scene adaptation sensitivity set to 0, and that way I have more control over the exposure setting below and know it'll always give me the result I expect.

You can set it to something in between 0 and 1, and it'll adapt a little bit, but not completely. That can be a nice trade off between having greater control but not having to fiddle with it all the time. You can try 0.5 and see how you get on with that, and adjust it up or down from there.

Sorry if you’ve answered but how do you get all your screenshots so pastel white clean & pretty? Is it using the same color within the clothing coordinations that help? Can you give us Gshade, Reshade tips? Do you use photoshop actions? Lighting mods? Thnxs

Hello! So for gshade I added a sharpening shader to my current preset, (the preset is linked on my faq) and I use the quint dof shader which adds the blurriness when I’m taking screenshots. Most of my interiors and sim‘s clothes are very light colors. I don’t edit any of my pictures! 🤍 I do use the lighting mod ‚milk thistle v2‘ by softerhaze but that doesn’t make a difference unless I’m taking pictures outside!

Regency Fireside - A Reshade Preset!

I decided to refine the Reshade preset I created for Alone Together and of course share it now that I know how.

This has been created particularly for interior scenes that are dark and require a warm, saturated look - I wanted to try to replicate fire light with a little creative licence thrown in for a romantic look.  It can work for exteriors, however you might need to tweak it.  The landscape example was taking in Windenberg in the morning light.  None of the images have been messed with in Photoshop.

Specs

Reshade version: 4.9.1  Shaders recommended: AshtrayFX, OtisFX, PD80 and qUINT.

As with any preset that uses depth shaders, you will need to ensure that edge smoothing is turned off in game.

Depending on the look you like, you can use ADOF or CinematicDOF if you would like better control where your depth of field lies.

Feel free to customize it as much as you like and if you do use it, please let me know so I can seeeeee!

The Disney Vault is, at long last, open. 

With the debut of Disney+, the new streaming service from the Mouse House, many films and TV shows that have been out of public circulation for years are now available at the click of the mouse, delighting diehard Disney fans and nostalgic millennials alike. 

The service is billed as a mix of Disney, Pixar, Marvel, “Star Wars” and National Geographic, and while the other brands are great, they weren’t locked away in a “vault” for years on end when you just wanted a VHS copy of “Beauty and the Beast” for Christmas. One of the biggest benefits of the service is access to Disney’s theatrical animated films, along with the campy collection of Disney Channel Original Movies, series and a few gems from the 20th Century Fox studio that Disney acquired this year.

Disney+ includes more than 7,500 episodes of television and 500 movies, which might make choosing just one childhood classic difficult. Animated treasures

‘Hercules’

Before you dive into the heavy hitters from Disney animation (and we have several on this list), take a moment to enjoy one of the most underrated films from the “Disney Renaissance” of the 1990s: “Hercules.” The powers and adventures of the Greek gods are brought to life in the film, which uses a gospel and jazz score and original music to bring it all back down to Earth. Definitely a hero, not a zero. 

‘Aladdin’

Please, we beg you, ignore this year’s Will Smith remake of this story and stick to the one with a brilliant voice performance from Robin Williams. There are few times in animated films where the vocals and animation feed off each other in such wonderful ways, and it’s infinitely better than a guy covered in blue makeup. 

‘The Little Mermaid’ 

While you’re forgetting “Aladdin,” forget ABC’s “live” version of “Mermaid,” too. The original 1989 film, in all its hand-drawn glory, is all you need to be “part of that world” (get it?). The music, by the legendary team of Alan Menken and Howard Ashman, is among the best Disney’s ever produced, and it’s worth revisiting just to hear the songs in context again. 

‘101 Dalmatians’

One of the movies that feels like it was sealed in the vault forever (in part because of Glenn Close’s later live-action films), “Dalmatians” is a veritable explosion of puppy love and good boys and girls. The film has a great villain and an even better villain song. If Cruella de Vil doesn’t scare you, no evil thing will. 

‘The Aristocats’ 

“Dalmatians” is for dog people, and “Aristocats” covers cat people. One of the more under-the-radar Disney films, “Aristocats” is sleek and sweet with a great soundtrack. Released in 1970, it’s a little dated (though not as dated as other Disney films), but still full of cool cats.

Live-action films that aren’t remakes

‘Escape to Witch Mountain’ (1975) 

No offense to Dwayne Johnson, but there’s no beating the original version of this paranormal tale about two mysterious orphan siblings with powers and a mad millionaire chasing after them. The retro special effects and action sequences just make the the whole film better. 

‘Heavyweights’

Though not a Disney Channel original, this Ben Stiller comedy aired on the network so often in the 2000s you wouldn’t be remiss for thinking it was. The sometimes problematic story of young boys sent to a torturous fat camp run by a psychotic fitness instructor (Stiller) is a celebration of individuality and adolescence. That Stiller makes an incredibly hilarious bad guy is simply gravy. 

Millennial DCOM Favorites

‘Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century’ 

There is, and never will be, a better Disney Channel Original Movie than this campy sci-fi classic, about a girl raised on a space station who faces a tough transition to life on Earth. The film portrays a version of the 21st century with a distinctly 1990s flair (all the cars are Volkswagen Beetles), its own catchphrase (Zeedus Lapidus!) and a boy-band tune that you won’t get out of your head anytime soon (“Supernova Girl”). 

‘Smart House’

This 1999 movie beat “Black Mirror” in depicting technology as dangerous instead of empowering. Before we had Alexa or Siri, this Ryan Merriman DCOM asked, “what if Alexa could cook and had separation anxiety?” Come for the dance parties, stay for Katey Sagal (“Sons of Anarchy”) as the human embodiment of the Smart House. 

‘Quints’ 

Millennial fans of Disney Channel may know Kimberly J. Brown better from the “Halloweentown” films, but “Quints” is just as worthy a use of her Disney charm. The movie follows 14-year-old Jamie (Brown), who hates being an only child until her mom gives birth to (you guessed it) quintuplets. Diaper humor is mixed with some surprisingly deep insights about forging an identity as a kid, and what you want and need from your parents.

The Fox lot 

‘Miracle on 34th Street’ (1947) 

The Christmas classic, from the vast and historical catalog that went to Disney after its 20th Century Fox deal, airs often on broadcast TV during the holiday season, but now you can queue it up whenever you want. As many new Christmas movies as we get each year, there’s really no replacement for a young Natalie Wood learning to believe in Santa Claus. Sorry, Hallmark. 

‘X-Men: The Animated Series’ 

Almost a decade before Hugh Jackman stepped into Wolverine’s clawed shoes, the comic book mutants came to life for kids in this fabulous animated series. Part of Fox’s old Saturday morning cartoon lineup, the series told complex, deep stories of heroes and villains while we ate our cereal from 1992-96. Now you can binge all 76 episodes over overnight oats.

‘Boy Meets World’

Cory (Ben Savage), Topanga (Danielle Fishel) and Shawn (Rider Strong) are the kind of friends you can count on for a very long time. “Boy” seems as if it was made for the binge-watching era, considering the long-running series (1993-2000) covered the trio from junior high to college and marriage. One of the best shows about growing up, it now can help teach a new generation about the ins and outs of puberty and young adulthood. 

‘DuckTales’ (2017) 

A rare instance where the reboot outshines the original, this recent take on Huey, Dewey and Louie Duck (along with the evil Scrooge McDuck) is an absolute delight. Parents can enjoy watching with kids, in part because the voice cast includes so many talented actors, including Ben Schwartz, Danny Pudi, Bobby Moynihan and David Tennant.

‘So Weird’

“So Weird” is something of a kid-friendly take on “The X-Files,” in which a family (with “One Day at a Time” star Mackenzie Phillips as the mom) travels around the country and encounters supernatural occurrences. The series covers a wide variety of weird, including crop circles, mythic Sirens and curses. Today’s kids may have a little trouble identifying with the early internet website protagonist Fi (Cara DeLizia) uses chronicles her adventures, but it’s important to learn there was life before TikTok.

Hi!

I have a reshade q. I’ve tried to do due diligence and check the faq but I’m still stuck. I have 4.7 installed but I can’t get your multiLUT tool to work. It just keeps saying it was unable to load. I have sweetfx, quint and most legacy shaders (except for original mxao) installed. I’ve also checked that I put the files in the right place but it still won’t work. Do you have any idea what the issue could be? Thanks 💗

Hi there! If it's one of my newer multiluts (from the past year) you need the shader pack by Prod80. There are essential shaders and textures in that pack that are required for the multiluts to load and work.

If you open my multilut shader file and look at the bottom, it should say:

include "PD80_LUT_v2.fxh"

That means it was made for the Prod80 shader pack. At the very least you need the file listed there, but also some of the textures, so the easiest thing to do is install PD80_LUT_v2.fxh in your shaders folder, and then all the textures from his pack into your textures folder.

Tip for everybody: .fxh files are 'header' files, or utility files. They don't do anything on their own, you won't see them listed in the shader list in the ReShade menu, but they work in the background to make other shaders work properly. Don't delete .fxh files from your shaders folder unless you know for certain you don't need them.

Quindi se volete vederlo, prima di comprare il pacchetto, assicuratevi di avere l’app o sul vostro telefono o su un tablet. Ormai la tecnologia applicata al marketing e al business non è più una novità, piuttosto una realtà ben definita. Circa l’80% del giro d’affari di quasi tutte le aziende, a livello mondiale, passa attraverso il digitale e tali cifre sono destinate a crescere.

Il fenomeno del digitale non accenna a fermarsi e gli esperti sono, addirittura, pronti a scommettere che il 2019 rappresenterà il “fatidico” anno zero. Infatti, se il primo decennio del nuovo secolo ha visto il digital marketing nascere e diffondersi a macchia d’olio, il nuovo anno sarà quello della consacrazione.

Ma quali saranno le novità più interessanti del 2019?

1. Innanzitutto, assisteremo alla diffusione ed evoluzione dei chatbots. Questi, denominati anche assistenti digitali, sono considerati fondamentali nel mondo del marketing. Infatti, il loro compito è quello di assistere un cliente (digitale), qualora avesse richieste generiche. In futuro andranno a sostituire le ormai obsolete FAQ e permetteranno di alleggerire il lavoro degli assistenti “umani”, ottimizzando, così, i tempi e produzione.

2. Il secondo punto riguarderà “l’integrazione” dei vari social channel. Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Snapchat, YouTube etc. ognuno con le proprie esigenze e modalità, ma con un unico comune denominatore: condivisione. Se quel contenuto o prodotto diventa “virale”… 

3. Sempre nel mondo dei social, nel 2019 i “live” saranno ancora più diffusi. Per il digital branding ciò rappresenta pura benzina sul fuoco. Infatti, permettono di mostrare spaccati di realtà “dentro l’azienda” dal fortissimo impatto commerciale. Avete presente l’iniziativa di qualche anno fa da parte di Michael Kors in cui pubblicò un video del dietro le quinte di una sua nota sfilata?

4. Infine, il 2019 sarà ricordato anche per la grande sfida tra la televisione ed internet. Cifre attendibili, infatti, parlano di un sostanziale pareggio: le ore che gli utenti passano a navigare sono (pressapoco) le stesse che passano a guardare la tv. Chi la spunterà?

Lo scandalo Facebook è stato il tema delle ultime settimane, sebbene fossero già sorte delle polemiche sulla mancata sicurezza e problemi con il nuovo algoritmo.

Di fatto il nuovo algoritmo di Facebook ha creato parecchi problemi in particolare a coloro che gestiscono pagine pubbliche collegate alla loro attività o azienda. 

Non nascondo che tali problemi li ho dovuti affrontare pure io in quanto bloccato già a Dicembre 2017 per una settimana e a Gennaio per circa 2 settimane.

Il motivo? Aver condiviso dei semplici post dedicati al Portogallo dall’altro blog che possiedo, ovvero NicePortugal.com.

Quindi non erano nemmeno post condivisi a scopo commerciale ma riportando solo esperienze o parlando dei posti in genere e fornendo ulteriori informazioni anche sulla pagina pubblica e dal gruppo che gestisco.

Di conseguenza ho preso delle serie contromisure e passo quindi ad illustrare.

Perché passare a Minds

Nelle ultime settimane ho parlato molto di Minds sui vari social network, tuttavia attendevo che uscisse fuori dalla fase beta e ora si può dire maturo.

Tuttavia già dal 2015 si parla di Minds (consiglio di leggere anche l’articolo linkato) in quanto è il social sostenuto dal gruppo Anonymous per combattere lo strapotere di Facebook a beneficio dell’utente spesso ignaro.

Già da molto ho creato il mio profilo su Minds che trovate a questo link e sono contento di vedere che molti dei miei amici e contatti accolgono il mio invito d’iscrizione.

Minds è un social network Open Source, una delle fondamentali differenze da Facebook in quanto di quest’ultimo se ne occupano solo gli sviluppatori interni (appunto software proprietario).

Ciò vuol dire che il codice sorgente di Minds è liberamente disponibile affinché collaboratori e sviluppatori di tutto il mondo possano contribuire al progetto.

Vi riporto pertanto quello che viene spiegato sul sito web di Minds:

Minds (Minds, Inc.) è una piattaforma di social networking gratuita e open source che ti premia per la tua attività online con entrate, valuta digitale e più visualizzazioni sui tuoi contenuti. Siamo costruiti su fondamenta di libertà, privacy e democratizzazione.

Minds.org è l’hub di decentralizzazione in cui puoi lanciare la tua app di social networking e il tuo sito web basato sul software gratuito Minds, che può essere privato o pubblico e federato.

Di conseguenza l’argomento “privacy e libertà” sono gli aspetti fondamentali di questo nuovo social totalmente innovativo, di conseguenza i diritti umani vengono garantiti e non siete oggetto di vendita dei vostri dati come invece accade sulle famose piattaforme social.

A tal proposito mi sono divertito a creare un meme divertente di Dwayne Johnson postato qui sopra per scherzare sulle scusanti da due soldi che la gente utilizza in quanto pigra e poco incline a imparare (ho caricato la versione in inglese a questo link).

Oltre a questo ecco altre caratteristiche che vi riporto esattamente come dichiarati sul sito ufficiale.

L’economia interna di Minds è regolata anche dalla vostra attività sul social, quindi dai vostri contributi, dai vostri commenti, post, articoli sul blog e molto altro.

  In base alla vostra attività guadagnerete i token, infatti 1 token equivale a 1000 (mille) visite sui vostri post, il cui massimo prefissato per l’account base è di 5 token per ogni post, ovvero 5mila visite (direi niente male).

Quando leggete o visualizzate un post di altri che seguite a vostra volta potete contribuire con i vostri token e donare quanto volete voi, in questo modo si crea un sostegno interno reciproco.

Tuttavia è possibile anche acquistare i token e scegliere a vostra discrezione come utilizzarli per rendere meglio visibili i vostri post, in particolare gli articoli che pubblicate sul vostro blog all’interno di Minds che potete condividere di conseguenza su altri social.

Eventualmente potete anche condividere tali contenuti integrando sul vostro browser come Chrome o Firefox l’estensione AddToAny che ritengo molto valida.

Il guadagno della criptovaluta/token dipende proprio dalla vostra attività sul social e dai contributi che ricevete, oltre che acquistarli.

Il pagamento di 5 dollari al mese (al cambio attuale circa € 4,07) permette a Minds di essere finanziato, specialmente per il comparto server.

Di conseguenza contribuire ad un beneficio simile come quello di un social sicuro e aperto risulta già questo uno dei migliori motivi per contribuire.

Viene garantito un Badge che verifica la vostra identità e autenticità sul social, in più avrete ulteriori vantaggi per il “boost” e rendere meglio visibili i vostri post.

Si potrà accedere anche ad altri moltissimi vantaggi per la pubblicazione su larga scala dei propri contenuti sul vostro blog incluso in Minds.

Oltre a ciò periodicamente durante tutto il mese, il team di Minds pubblicherà contenuti esclusivi per tutti gli utenti di Plus per dare un’occhiata più da vicino a ciò che accade dietro le quinte della sede.

Le notifiche illustrate in maniera semplice e pulita

In particolare rilievo è la chat che richiede una password di accesso a parte in quanto criptata, quindi nessuno può spiarvi in alcun modo e i vostri dati risultano inaccessibili a chiunque.

Panoramica delle funzioni da PC

La schermata che vi posto qui sotto vi mostra le funzioni assai semplici che appaiono dal computer usando Chrome o Firefox.

Dalla schermata sopra si evince che la caratteristica di Minds in termini di semplicità, innovazione ed immediatezza delle funzioni è quasi la stessa dell’applicazione mobile.

Di conseguenza occorre soltanto abituarsi a tale semplicità, ci tengo a specificarlo in quanto chi viene da Facebook l’impatto può essere problematico o addirittura si diventa erroneamente esigenti.

Specialmente la chat risulta più comoda ma anche la parte Blog, in particolare quest’ultima se vogliamo pubblicare regolarmente contenuti di pubblica rilevanza legati alla nostra attività o soltanto per condividere qualcosa.

In alto nelle impostazioni in particolare appare la schermata qui sopra postata, consente di scegliere cosa se collegare l’account a Facebook e Twitter (o anche farne a meno).

Oltre a ciò anche l’autenticazione a due fattori, questa in particolare quando effettuerete il login arriverà un sms in tempo reale sul vostro dispositivo mobile con il codice per autenticarvi.

Scegliere le notifiche e molto altro è importante, così non avremo la home intasata di cose che non vogliamo assolutamente visualizzare, compresi i contenuti per adulti (che consiglio caldamente di escluderli).

Invitare i vostri amici e i vostri contatti su Minds non è mai stato così semplice grazie alla funzione di referral link, di conseguenza guadagnerete token anche con le iscrizioni.

Quindi che aspettate? Direi che è il momento di liberarvi da qualsiasi forma di tirannia, di iscrivervi a Minds, scaricare per il vostro dispositivo Android o iPhone/iPad l’applicazione e cominciare a fare sul serio.

Se invece qualcuno trova sempre da lamentarsi che non è possibile fare chiamate e videochiamate direttamente dall’applicazione (nonostante sia molto stabile a differenza di Facebook) può sempre optare per i miei ripetuti consigli sull’uso di Telegram (al posto di Whatsapp anch’esso appartenente a Facebook) oppure Wire (al posto di Skype).

E posso assicurarvi che queste ultime applicazioni menzionate sono software Open Source e risultano per certo di gran lunga più sicure dei pessimi Messenger e Whatsapp.

Dipende tutto dalla vostra volontà e vi incoraggio gentilmente ad escludere le scusanti pur di non applicare un cambiamento volto a migliorare la vostra sicurezza.

These were the qUINT shaders for 3.4.1 but they should work just fine with 3.0.8. Just pop them in your reshade-shaders folder.

Your reshade tutorials are seriously the best! I’m having issues with reshade 3.0.8 and the quint MXAO shader. For some reason the shadows aren’t dark but instead look golden as if they’re more highlighted. How do I make the quint mxao be dark?

Hi! Do you have Indirect Lighting turned on in the MXAO shader? Try moving the Indirect Lighting amount slider all the way to the left and see if it changes.
