This is an original 1937 photo of War Admiral resting the morning of his win in the Belmont Stakes. Dorothy Ours, the author of Man o’ War wrote this about the photo: “Love this photo! He's actually charging up to win the Crown. Clipping from The Minneapolis Star (June 11, 1937) says, "It was five o'clock in the morning when the cameraman took this picture and started following War Admiral through the day of the Belmont." Full-page spread in The Minneapolis Star included eleven photos, following the Admiral from 5:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on his momentous Belmont Stakes day.
