they should schedule some free time on the rails so my friends and me can travel from Eijsden to Eemshaven on railbikes. Trains don't run on time during the vacation anyway and i think we deserve a little treat

TIL the railway on aquidneck island actually still operates to some capacity...not just the decay vulture railbike excursions but also like, real actual trains. it's kinda funny/sad that the only thing stopping aquidneck from being connected to the rail system is like 300 feet of open water

wanted to flesh out some connections before i delved into the ongoing event! came up with some plot ideas (might add more when i get a better idea of his connections) which i'll leave below the cut — feel free to hit me up if you'd like to take on any, or if you just want to plot if we haven't already!
things are pretty hectic for him this month, a lot of past connections returning to haunt him, rumours surrounding these reconnections and all so, i plan to have him show up for this event without a date but
we can have an ex he recently broke up with who will be attending the event (lots of room for awkward run-ins)
someone new he meets at the event that he ends up flirting with? nothing serious but they just really hit it off and end up going for a dinner or stroll together (something about the cherry blossoms make for a good romantic set-up)
DAY 01
jaerim would be very interested in this year's charity, since it's childcare related (he volunteers at children's charity organisations) so he would want to show up for the lunch
we could do a carpool situation? maybe your muse needed transport to the event (to avoid traveling with their family or for whatever reason) and his fancy car ain't a bad option. could have them meet with some situation on the way there and show up fashionably late halfway through the welcome lunch, walk in with everyone staring at them? maybe even have them wonder if your muse is his date for the event?
i think he'd really dig the sunset watching and dinner cruise so maybe a date for that? or an unintentional date of sorts? like they got lost or left behind because they were bickering over something and everyone else had left by the time they were done so they were on their own and the view was too good to pass off (could work for platonic connections too!) (shiah)
DAY 02
feel like it'd be fun for him to get stuck on a cable car ride with an ex or enemy of sorts e.g. "we need to talk", "but people will see us", next moment one of them drags the other into the cable car
not really a railbike kinda guy (unless you convince him?) but he would be lounging at the beach so anyone spending their time there could bump into him. beachside cocktails and provocatively applying sunscreen? hit him the hell up
i see him being forced to mingle with people during the dinner and fireworks show so bring on any drama with past connections
or someone that gets way too drunk and ends up being his burden to care for that night (won)
DAY 03 (FULL)
a date for the cherry blossoms viewing (seryung)
i'd imagine that would cause some drama with some of his past romantic connections which is a good set-up for that night's partying (people go feral when they're drunk and i'm here for it) (seulki)
this is likely to be a stressful event for him so he will be ending it off with lots of alcohol (raon)
maybe even hook up with someone at the end of the night (in true gossipgate fashion, day 3 always ends with chaos) (raon)
if none of these work, i'm down to brainstorm and come up with something fun for our muses! click here for my intro if you need more information about jaerim. anything else, feel free to drop me a message on ims or discord!

okayyy i think i've finally replied to everyone (please. nudge me if that's not the case lol) & so i'd love to get some interactions going!
i'll have a couple of event plot ideas under the cut (thank u to hyojin's mun for the idea!) and my end goal is *olivia rodrigo vc* i want it to be like messy.
day 1
she's going to be so very stressed on day 1. travelled with her parents (she can't drive...legally. L) & was subjected to 2hrs worth of 'why on earth did you pick art as ur major', 'when are you planning on settling down', and 'you look like you've gained weight.' the ush. by the end of lunch, she's just about rdy to commit murder. instead of that, though, she heads off to join the day tour to escape.
walking ard dumulmeori tgt! yes u will be eating everything she orders because she takes One (1) bite and then gives the rest to u. her feet will end up hurting because of her ridiculous shoes and who will have run 2 a pharmacy/convenience store for band-aids? that's right. u.
getting dressed together for the dinner cruise! heading to her watery demise.. but at least she's cute <3
dinner will Not be fun (no she will not elaborate) so she will be taking full advantage of the open bar.
day 2
room service + recovering from the night before = don't expect her out of bed before 2pm.
her parents will be leaving (thank the lord) after a 7am go on the railbike. it's so clear to u that haerin has not slept a wink and is so caffeinated it's concerning. she offers u sunscreen and the entire tube ends up splorging out onto ur palms and outfit. please drive her back to the hotel.
your cable car breaks down and haerin's LAUGHING. you two are stranded in a vigorously shaking death trap god knows how high up and she's LAUGHING. would be fun if we added a can-you-keep-a-secret-esque element to it where ur muse starts confessing every embarrassing secret they've ever had. optional, though!!
off she heads to starlight village! after the fireworks show, she's heading to jebu beach--- what can i say, she's #notliketheothergirls. she rationalises it as her hating the sun & enjoying the cold weather. come with? meet her there & have her think you're a ghost? either way, u guys are the only people on a beach at 2am.
day 3
she's going to the cherry blossom viewings without a date... no she doesn't care if gossip girl calls her celibate again! any girlies want to make it a girls' day <3 (open 2 multiple hehe)
skipping the farewell dinner to cut the cals + get ready for the real party. if ur muse is at a party, so is she! let's go from there.
ofc, none of these r set in stone n r just jumping off points, and i'd love to discuss + brainstorm!

Tracing the old Burma Road
The disused Irish railway that runs from Claremorris, Co. Mayo via Kiltimagh and Charlestown to Colloney, Co. Sligo is known as the ‘Burma Road.’ This last saw trains in the mid-1970s, yet much of the track and right-of-way remains intact. A railbike operation is based at the old station in Kiltimagh. After St. Patrick’s Day, Kris and followed a portion of the Burma Road on our drive toward…

  Today’s Mistake- Losing my earbud
I have lost multiple earbuds, and that hurts. I drop them, they fall out of my bag, or I leave them behind. I recently purchased a more expensive brand of earbuds, so I hope that this will improve my sound quality and make me less likely to lose them. Do you have tips on this, too?
Today’s Travel Advice: For dry skin, use protection.
As the weather gets colder, my skin gets drier. I use more skincare products during the winter months. I use it on my fingernails, hands, and lips. Temporarily protect your cracked or chapped skin with a petroleum-based barrier. It will also protect your skin from cuts, scrapes, burns, and the drying effects of wind and cold weather. Don’t use this on deep wounds, animal bites or serious burns.
