(Spoilers) My thoughts on the recent Eret Stream.

I'm ranting here because I wasn't able to participate as a part of chat.

Imagine you are the King of the Dream SMP and own a castle, a fortress, a museum, a shit ton of discs, 7 or so beacons AND the only (its dead though) Nokia phone in the SMP. Literally wealthy.

The rp hate Eret gets are just too painful but it's like good motivation for him to actually want to have a redemption arc than just for the sake of wanting one. I actually felt chills when Phil said, "leave." And then the insults about their eyes just after. They just want to help!

The whole revival thing was hilarious and sad. Gghostbur's canon death has summoned Glatt.

Btw, Tubbo literally has a lot of current and previous occupations. Lawyer, Soldier, Theropayist, President, Spy, Secretary of State, Criminal, Necromancer, Witchdoctor, Dreamon Hunter, what else. He can almost rival Barbie. Yet he's broke lol.

Road Trip!! The whole Nether Roof Running is so hilarious. Are we there yet? Canonically Short Tubbo.

According to Gghostbur, he never encountered a salmon that he never ate so uhm- I would definitely be revising the family tree thing again. It would be small changes like the small lines but we'll see I give it a few more weeks before I change it.

it's the anniversary of tubbo joining the dsmp, so here's some general ramblings about why c!Tubbo Good

cc!Tubbo is great at acting and i appreciate him so much. his line deliveries are amazing. c!Tubbo has said some of my favourite lines on the SMP. "best of luck!" (x), "yourself" (x 56:08), "this is checkmate" (x 56:46), the entirety of the "selfish" speech (x 1:03:18), "The discs don't matter, Tommy! How can you not see that?" (x 47:04), "Hey Big Q! Look what I found" (x 10:14), the scene where he yells at Quackity for wanting to execute Ranboo (x 1:23:46), the whole "it's been a lot of fucking fun" scene with Tommy right before the election results are announced (x).... THERE'S SO MUCH GOOD STUFF. the checkmate line was improvised. like holy shit

his story is just so interesting. he went from just Some Guy, to child revolutionary soldier, to secretary of state, to a dictator's right hand man and also a spy, to president, to married man living with his piglin son and being periodically visited by his former political rival/cabinet member/now husband in his own little commune that also happens to be concealing nuclear weapons. like where else can you get a character like this

seriously i made a post about this a while ago and it's one of my most popular tumblr posts i've ever made so a lot of people have probably already seen it but he's just so cool. he's gay married. he has a son. he's funny. he has a sword named checkmate. he has nukes. what is there not to love

speaking of nukes he's so smart?? like this is obviously also partially cc!Tubbo shining through but this man was canonically able to invent nukes. i fully choose to believe he invented canonical skype and the nokia phones that can run it.

AGAIN HIS SWORD IS (was?) NAMED CHECKMATE. GIRLBOSS. RECLAIM THAT CHESS MOTIF <3

he's been through so much. manberg spy arc. hhholy shit. i adore the new l'manberg/exile arc so much and a huge reason for that is Tubbo. his acting when talking about missing Tommy is so good

his relationship with c!Tommy. they've been through so much together. the entirety of season 2 just. ow. that bit where Techno and Tommy went to visit nlm to get techno's weapons back and Tubbo like. reached out to Tommy when they were leaving (x 1:00:07). it was just a minecraft punch in his direction but i'm interpreting that as him reaching out and refuse to believe otherwise. that bit after the Green Festival when they part ways. the entirety of the disc finale. aaaaa

his relationship with c!Ranboo. they went from political rivals, to working together in the nlm cabinet, where they were already kinda friends but still somewhat distant, to better friends to the point where Tubbo believed Ranboo was the only truly loyal member of nlm (x). Ranboo was so fucking upset when Tubbo got the memory book at the Green Festival because Tubbo was "the closest person he had" and he would "never get the way Tubbo looked at him out of his head" (x 1:44:58). and now they're fucking married with an adopted son. they're genuinely one of my favourite relationships on the entire SMP it's so fucking interesting

his relationship with c!Quackity. they've been through so much together and now they're on opposite sides of a conflict that's driven by forces that were shaped by the things they went through together (-> Manberg). cabinetduo. there's so many things about their relationship i just. man.

Tubbo is so fucking funny. this is also just a cc!Tubbo thing but it still deserves a mention. teach him about the political climate of berlin. he wants to know

just his entire characterisation is so good. he goes non-verbal in stressful situations (-> the entirety of Doomsday, Wilbur's revival, a ton of stuff). he's so self-sacrificing to the point that he was completely okay with tommy letting him die for the discs (x 38:10 and 55:03) and jumped in front of a firework for Tommy at Doomsday (x 55:47) and said he'd rather "take himself out of the equation" than choose between ranboo and tommy (x) and put a fucking dead man's switch in his nukes. he takes shit other people say to him to heart (like Dream being absolutely shit to him at the Green Festival) and has terrible self-esteem as a result. he represses his emotions to hell and back.

there's just so many interesting little things about Tubbo's character. he collected old books in his little secret bunker back in manberg. he builds lots of bunkers and tunnels and shit. he canonically consumes drugs/alcohol sometimes. that gets overlooked a lot

I could go on and on and on but I think you get the point. c!Tubbo is my absolute favourite character on the Dream SMP and these are only some of the reasons why

weird parts of smp lore that people tend to forget (some i've mentioned before)

- Quackity gave birth to El Rapids

- Techno is (perhaps) canonically schizophrenic (thank you everyone who told me that stating this more as a fact has delicate yet disastrous and potentially stigmatising repercussions)

- Wilbur both cannot resist fucking fish, but then immediately eating them

- Wilbur canonically chainsmoked during his time in Pogtopia

- Schlatt can't swim

- Despite his threatening prescence, Dream and Mamacita think to 'Trance Music for Racing Game'

- Continuing that sentiment, when Mexican Dream thinks, 'La Chona' plays

- Karl, Quackity and Sapnap are in a polyamorous relationship, and BadBoyHalo is Sapnap's dad

- Eret might have cataracts

- Wilbur doesn't shower nor does he wash his clothes

- Phil casually started reading up on necromancy and told nobody about it, not even Techno

- Tubbo was a President, a secretary of state, a lawyer, a career criminal, a beekeeper, architect, witchdoctor, necromancer, librarian of an ancient archive, a priest and arsonist.

- Tommy pulled his right shoe out of the void when he changed his skin back after making it to Techno's

- Tommy can canonically sew, and other than Niki, might be the server's only trained tailor, meaning he likely sewed all of the revolutionary's suits, Wilbur's angsty coat, Phil and Techno's matching blue costumes, Tubbo's Presidential suit, sewed his own clothes back together when he was living under Techno's house, and probably sews his own open wounds shut knowing the absolute gall of this idiot child

- Fundy's whole arc is just daddy issues

- If Wilbur and Tommy are canon brothers, then Tommy is Fundy's uncle

- Tubbo just vibed in a box until Phil picked him up, and as soon as Wilbur died started hating Tubbo for no reason whatsoever

- Jack Manifold is an immortal deity who persists out of spite, but channels that energy into being Dr. Evil from Austin Powers

- Schlatt was jacking off in the void n e x t t o s o m e o n e e l s e

- Ranboo's first impression of Schlatt after hearing about how evil he was the fact that he was just jackin off in the void, same with Phil

- The power of DMCA is canon in SMP lore ever since HBomb gave Tommy Pigstep, and now skype and nokia phones are canon

- Quackity was being all serious and reflective after Doomsday whilst riding a horse called Boner

DreamXD had offered him a deal. Reset the server. Reset the timeline. Bring everything back to zero, and try it all again. Dream would keep his memories, and he would have a new chance at bringing about the world he desired. Like a damn fool, Dream agreed.

Small Lore Moments from Today's Stream You Might Have Missed

Little things from today's streams that I picked up on! I've definitely missed some things especially since I only watched Ranboo's pov, so feel free to add on if you noticed anything else!

Also, Ranboo and Fundy will both apparently be streaming tomorrow (11/1) and there's a possibility of there being more lore relating to today's streams, so 👀

Actual lore:

Ghostbur canonically has a scar across his chest from where Phil killed him. It hurts.

Eret showed Ranboo and Phil his eyes, and they were slightly horrified. However, Ranboo pointed out that eye contact with Eret wouldn't bother him.

Crowns do not make kings, and Techno also said something about him having a crown as being part of his ambiguous character background.

Friend the sheep uses he/they pronouns? Ghostbur referred to them with both throughout the stream.

Ghostbur has no idea who Sally is, implying she is a bad memory to Wilbur. Whether this is because Wilbur doesn't like her or because he feels bad about their relationship is unclear.

Fundy wants Alivebur to be revived (or alternatively wants Ghostbur gone), while Tommy is conflicted about the possible resurrection. Tommy physically steps back and his breathing gets shaky, and he leaves quickly.

Ranboo pulled out a sword when Eret reached the arctic anarchist commune and didn't want him anywhere near there.

Ranboo turns down Tubbo's offer to try to solve his memory problems, saying he is "fine the way I am right now".

Phil learnt about Schlatt from Techno, while Ranboo learnt about him from Tubbo.

Ranboo says he has "found a way to relax", and then zooms in on Techno's house. I may cry.

Ranboo also doesn't seem to trust anyone with the information that he lives with Phil and Techno now, telling Tubbo he was going to do some chores today, trying not to lead anyone back to the base, and generally avoiding mentioning where he lives.

Eret is possibly canonically nonhuman, calling themself a "strong, independent whatever the fuck I am", though this may just be a gender joke.

Other stuff:

Phones (and Skype) are a thing. Phones are represented by buttons, and the only way to end a Skype call is to throw the button into water. Eret has a nokia.

Tubbo knows necromancy as part of his witch doctor license? Which he got from a magazine from the University of Life?

Phil mentioned going to "talk to the voices in his head". Incredibly unclear whether this means his chat is canon or not, and it probably isn't, but this is fun for headcanons so I'm including it here.

Ranboo repeatedly walked over his bed and chest, possibly hinting at character lore of some kind, such as what his other, non-enderman half is. Catboo pog? Shulkerboo? As well as this, he was very reluctant to throw anything out or empty his inventory, going back to pick up seeds and a single cobblestone stair at one point. However, later in the stream, he asked Phil to burn some junk he had in his inventory, including over a stack of ink sacs. The inc sacs aren't important for lore, it just made me sad because getting black dye can be annoying. Personally I'm leaning toward Shulkerboo atm.

I'm stopping here because I'm too tired to rewatch any more vods atm, but if you have any other small lore or character moments to add on, please do so!

I’m watching Charlie’s POV so I don’t know what Phil and Ranboo are doing with this phone bit but I’m just imagining them pulling out their Nokia phones and texting each other from like 3 feet apart in front of Charlie

Since Nokia's are canon to the dream smp I chose to believe it is in fact c!dream but he can only talk to c!ranboo in the panic room because it's the only place in the whole smp with reception /j

Some of my dsmp headcanons :) it’s mostly Ranboo but shhhhhhh

Phil, Techno and Dream are all functionally immortal (they can die, but beyond a certain point they stop aging and basically continue to live in the same state for any number of years (yes even thousands) until they’re killed)

Techno and Phil have known each other for a couple hundred years

Ranboo is half enderman and half ghast but he literally only remembers the enderman half

He takes the memory book as law, anything written in it (even written by a Certain Someone Else) he takes to be true, even if he doesn’t recall doing it

The little shack he made in the Arctic Empire is extremelyeasy to pack up quickly in case he needs to run away on short notice

Ranboo can tolerate being in water or in rain or snow for a little while, but after a certain point his skin starts to burn and leaves horrible marks

He has some pretty bad scars but he can’t for the life of him remember where they came from

Tubbo has a huge scar on his chest and reaching up to his face from his execution and he hates it

Tommy’s hearing is really bad from all the explosions he’s been near which is why he’s so loud

He also has significantly worse vision than he did at the start of the dsmp because of, once again, ✨explosions✨

Ranboo can teleport!! Sometimes-

He can really only teleport once in a while, it takes a significant amount of energy to do so in the over world so he tries not to do it if he can avoid it

If he’s feeling some sort of strong emotion, be it stress, excitement or whatever else, you can usually tell by how his tail is moving despite how blank his face might be

Ghostbur can’t remember things that made him angry or sad, but he can remember feeling incredibly sad and angry, he just doesn’t know why

As she was burning L’Mantree, Niki couldn’t think of anything except for the L’Manburg anthem

Fundy really wants Wilbur back, but he’s worried that things will be bad again so he’s hesitant

When Tommy stumbled upon the resurrection attempt, he flash backed to when Phil killed Wilbur and he had to stop himself from running in between them at the last second

Ranboo has little enderman particles that follow him around !!

Tubbo doesn’t want to leave Snowchester, he doesn’t want it to be the next L’Manburg so he’s careful with who he tells about it

The plan to take out Dream is something that Tubbo’s increadibly worried about pulling off, but he trusts Tommy

The egg will take control soon :)

Techno doesn’t actually mind that Ranboo is living with him and Phil, but he finds it funny how nervous Ranboo is so he’s not saying anything to the contrary

Ranboo will just pick up random pieces of dirt without realizing it until someone points it out to him

For some reason, he remembers an explosion before the distruction of the community house and L’Manburg, but he can’t pinpoint what

The panic room is actually causing him more problems, but he doesn’t notice it happening

Phil will shield Ranboo from the snow with his wings if they’re outside together while it’s snowing

The reason Phil “adopts” the kids is because, being an angel of death, he finds that often people are scared of him, and that’s the last thing he wants. He wants them to feel safe around him.

Everyone has a Nokia phone. Everyone.

Tubbo will Skype people just to annoy them

Tubbo wants to help Ranboo with his memories, even if Ranboo doesn’t want to remember, because helping people is what he’s good at. If he’s not helping someone with their troubles then he’d have to address his own and that’s the last thing he wants to do

Headcannon: items from third life appear to the third lifers post third life.

joel has no idea where the dogs keep coming from, weather he’s in his Mezalia or just some creative world they just keep coming. he doesn’t mind too much though the dogs are nice.

impulse doesn’t need a clock. He can check the time with his com just fine. But for some reason people keep leaving them at his base. He’s checked with all the hermits but no one leaves them there. he burns the clocks as soon as he gets them, but they keep appearing.

Bdubs also gets mysterious clocks, he usually just carries them around so he knows exactly when to sleep. When keralis and pearl steal the first clock they are confused to see the word “Nokia“ enscribed on the back.

grian found an enchanted diamond sword day on. He was really exited until he saw what etched into the leather of the handle “the avenger“ mumbo is still confused as to why grian threw a diamond sword into the ocean.

You know how season six grian had chicken wings because of poultry man and season seven grian had parrot wings because he collected the parrot heads/ the whole “pessssky birrrrrd” thing, so should season eight grian have dragon wings because of grian just wanting a dragon egg, and speedrunning Minecraft (insert speedrun music) just for the egg.

Quick PSA that I wish didn’t have to be said but does for some reason

Don’t attack haunted house workers

I know it seems like common sense but it happens way more often then you think. I volunteer in a haunted house, and oh my god are there a lot of attackers.

I get if youre really scared and it’s a reflex, but if you’re doing it to be funny just don’t. I get it the idea is funny in theory “oh haha person punched scarecrow man ha ha” But in theory. But when good old 13-14 year old Michel gets hit by the hunk of metal we call the I phone 10. Also yes that happened yesterday a young teen got hit by a phone.

I talked to about 7 people including myself casually and FOUR of them were either attacked or injured of the job. The majority of which were TWELVE. I know it may seem funny but you have to understand that.

If you are just really scared and cant control it I have some tips for you, because I understand some can’t help it. give your phone or anything that could hurt someone to a friend. This means that if you do have a nervous reflex it would hurt less. You could also put your hands in your pockets that could make it harder for you to accidentally hit someone. also if you think you’re going to have this reaction then wear soft toed shoes, crocs hurt less than cowboy boots.
