Silver is hovered over the animal whose life ended before it could even begin. An Eevee, deprived of the pleasure of a bath based off of the scruffy fur, of a shelter due to the lack of a trainer, of food perhaps, over how sunk-in the stomach appeared when she laid there lifeless ... Oh! Her tummy inflates when she breathes in.

"I thought for sure you were dead."

He says bluntly as if it's a normal thing to say to someone, like if it's normal to even speak to an animal.

But ... a part of him grows confused; why would she hold her breath for that long? ... Oh- He was going to be looted from, wasn't he? He realizes it a second too late. It didn't matter if he tried to take a step back; that was enough of a wide-open window for the wild creature to leap and snatch! a perfectly packed meal.

Silver could be a good denizen, leave the creature alone with his bento box as it seemed more in need than him ... or be salty and chase after it because the former thief in him despised being outsmarted by another thief.

He chooses to be salty.

His brows furrow aggressively, no longer sympathetic to the little animal as he sprints, shouting:

"Get back here with my shit!"

Questions For My Muse(s)

With their newfound capacity for positive emotions, and having freedom in general, Swordsman has definitely become more impulsive than they were previously. For the most part, this becomes evident in their methods of trying to ease their boredom. Like making a wooden carving out of a log... aaand destroying it as soon as it's finished for no particular reason.

As for most impulsive, however? Rather than boredom, this might be something led more by curiosity. For instance, Dark Matter do not have to eat. It offers no benefit to them. That doesn't mean they cannot, however. Swordsman has barely ever experienced sensations like taste before, so uh. If curiosity gets the better of them, they might... Do something like this:

Plate and all. Broken shards of porcelain. They wouldn't notice.

Life was weird. Yesterday, he ran into the fire, but today, he didn’t emerge a phoenix.

“Nghh …”

He fights the darkness with blinks, and defies it by opening his eyes. Wide and carelessly so that the sunlight can blind him temporarily. Pain began to settle in his head. And he didn’t held thought about his body. It didn’t matter, he was … alive. Tadashi could say the obvious like how real the breeze felt on his skin, or how alive the chirp of birds sounded, but he’ll let his heart that thumps ferociously at his ribcage be the explanation why.

“What happened? Where am I?”

He’s not asking the questions a person that had a near-death experience should be having, but they were valid nonetheless. Here was here, on grass, near a pond, surrounded by trees and rocks, a part of a forest’s serenity. 

Catching his breath in this crazy roller coaster called life, this should be one of those moments where he stares at his chest fondly for fighting for the sake of living, a magical moment where he appreciates the life around him— except when he tilts his head down, that there is a shake of his head and the furrowing of his brows in confusion; this wasn’t peace, this moment turned into a nightmare.

Since when did he let his chest grow hair? No, he would never allow that. He shaves!

Tadashi trots to a welcoming pond with its nutritious sounding ripples and rich blue of the sky. And with a surprisingly brave peek over the water, he is stunned at his reflection.

“Oh my gosh, am I … A DOG?!”

It should’ve been the way he walked or the fact that it was cream fur that he spotted on his chest that gave it away, but no, it had to be the non-sentient body of water that broke it down to him. The body of water that illustrated him as a cream colored canine with a cap (Though, that gave him no comfort, just reinforcement that it is him in another form). 

“NO, NO, NO- OH MY GOSH, WHAT?!”

Paws, all four, thrash and jump uncoordinated in the pond as if suddenly he had no control of his body. Huff, huff, huff. Instinctively, his body evolves to chase his curled tail and take one big bite of it, and all of the dramatics of earlier stop existing... Here he was, Tadashi Hamada of San Fransokyo, biting his cute, fluffy tail in distress, in a pond, in a place he couldn’t call by name. Suddenly, life grew larger, in a haunted and confusing way.

He does not know that he was right where he should be. Not in an afterlife, not necessarily reincarnated, but in a limbo between life and death, another challenge to overcome; it’s all part of life of course.

“... I’ve got to get out of here.”

Droplets drip from his fur, soaking the ground he steps on as he walks out of the pond and to a hilltop. Below, resided a guild. That’s where I have to go, I just know it.

The sound of someone whimpering immediately caught Puss's attention. He went outside to his doorstep and found an unusual looking creature. But what surprised him even more was that Rind was severely injured. She was bleeding so much, it almost looked as if her life was in danger!

"Holy frijoles!" Puss cried. He quickly carried Rind inside and put her down on a comfortable spot. Then he dug into his hat, took out a cloth, soaked it with water, and used it to absorb the blood. "Who has done this to you?"

It was one of the few time she could be on the beach without fear of drying herself out. She was excited to see her surface friend again, maybe he’d brought more music for her. Maybe even better, he’d sing for her. Instruments were beautiful, but they couldn’t compare to the beauty that was a person’s natural voice.

These spots include of his shoulders, his back (especially where his burn mark resides), the area underneath his butt (behind his thighs, his thighs in general), and his hands. Majority of these parts are his most overworked or symbolize carrying the weight of the world ...

The magic isn’t just in a stroke; breathe in to those areas or just speak so closely to them, and you’ll send a shiver down his spine.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀A night owl, Barley gets so hooked into his daily adventures, bringing his brother on occasion for late night drives, and even the ones close to home in his books, rereading for different interpretations he's missed the first times.

Guilty is he of going a couple of hours of rest throughout his day. He's lucky that his mom keeps him in check often should she find him still lurking amuck in the middle of the night for late night munchies. He's working on his rest and is aware that he could do better lest he wants his eyebags to darken some more!

When he does get some rest, he’s able to crash out for a good while. Don’t feel bad to awake him for anything though, his big brother instincts help him awaken and be back on his feet for the next adventure!

For… Meta Knight

I wish he wasn't a villain in the games- or at least, wasn't portrayed as such. Now, I grew up around 4Kids TV still being an active site on the internet, so my first introduction to Meta Knight- let alone the Kirby franchise- was the English dubbed anime, wherein Meta Knight is not so much a villain as he is... Morally gray.

He was a character who worked for triple D, but had his own motives- and his history (up until Wolfwrath's episode) was unknown. So... I kind of came to view him as a knight in shining armor (as a small girl who saw that kind of stuff was oft to do). This is why, in my portrayal, while I do incorporate some game canon every here and there, I never let him get portrayed as doing something for simple self-interest/greed-- instead making it so it's either some evil doppleganger, or Meta Knight testing Kirby, or him getting taken over by some villainous thing.

Of the few Kirby games I do own, the one I look towards when I write his combat scenes and powers is actually Kirby Super Star Ultra for the DS, specifically 'Meta Knightmare'. It's also a light inspiration for me when it comes to thinking about some of the game canons if MK was less... Villain, and more hero. Of course, I've only played Squeak Squad, Super Star Ultra, Star Allies, and (still working through this one) Forgotten Land,-- so I don't know how MK is portrayed in any of the other games. I like to think that his attacks when he's evil in Star Allies are him going all-out/without restraint, so attacks he'd do if he was low on health/ready to die or something, and wanting to give his friends a chance to bring down a big boss.

As it should be noticeable, I do write MK as thinking monsters are no worse than cappies or star warriors- in that the more sentient/less live-stock minded ones are capable of moral change or being brought to the good side. If you can't see this in the fact that my Kirby-Universe!SI is literally a monster from Nightmare Enterprises and yet they're dating MK, then-- uh-- mate I've got NEWS.

Random Headcanon: Stargazing

In Dark Matter Swordsman's newfound state, one of the first experiences that would spur a glimmer of a positive feeling in them would be stargazing. As they take time to recover, resting on various planets and asteroids, they'd start to find themself becoming... transfixed, as they observe the skies and beyond.

At one time, they felt absolutely nothing looking upon constellations and nebulae. It was merely more space to eventually spread darkness to. Now, however... the twinkling lights, joined by dazzling colors... they cannot tear their gaze away quite as easily as before.

It's...

OOC: Favorite character that I DON'T write?

Probably a lot of characters from the Sonic The Hedgehog series. I don't think I could quite do any of them justice since I am not well-versed in the Sonic fandom to begin with, though I do adore watching playthroughs of their games, fandubbed comics, and so on. (No, I haven't seen either live-action movie but I REALLY want to sometime because I heard both were really good.)

Favorite character I have RPed? Hands-down, it's gotta be Count Arganan from The Last Story in terms of canon muses (aka this blog!) because there's so much in actual canon that we never really got to dive into with Arganan (CURSE WASTED POTENTIAL) and his relationship with his niece Calista, along with other aspects of his character that often get overlooked (him being a fairly reasonable boss outside of the whole fact that he manipulated a lot of people to get what he wanted during gameplay, for example). And here, I get to explore him to the fullest potential or as best as i can.

In terms of OC muses, it's Tahirah from @adeadlysong. I actually RPed her off tumblr before bringing her to here, but I made some vast changes inbetween the move that I'm happier with now. Before tumblr, she was much more serious and mysterious. Here, she's much more optimistic, open, and (sometimes frighteningly) cheerful, which I think suits her better. XD

“You know, I’m not particularly fond of thievesss...” Dark Taranza intentionally hisses at the end of the statement as he approaches the Eevee. The vault Rind had found was not by any means all of what the evil ruler owned, but anything being taken from his was an insult that he didn’t take lightly.

The entrance to the vault has been shut, and a magical web covers it. Barring the exit... clearly he didn’t intend to let her leave unscathed.
