Eräs merkittävimmistä tapauksista Ransun elämässä sattui ohjelmantekomatkalla Berliinissä 1989, kun Berliinin muuri murtui yllättäen kesken matkaa. Tapaus saatiin taltioiduksi osittain videolle ja valokuviin. Ransu kommentoi murtumista myöhemmin Pikku Kakkosessa.
