weird thing to say i guess but the lithgow crash is kinda sticking in my mind; once every few years during this goddamn holiday season you get one sticking in your mind and it's awful (a few years ago it was that one down at the south coast somewhere)

this one near lithgow's kinda hitting hard bc i drive out there pretty often for someone who lives 2 hours away from it (i just like the area and lithgow is like the starting point for exploring). so... yeah.

the holiday season is the worst. maybe between xmas and new year it's the worst. even on long weekends you have people driving out of sydney who don't drive that often/don't drive out of sydney often and they don't know how to fucking drive. earlier this year iirc on the M1 just coming out of wahroonga/right at the start, some person towing a caravan changed lanes from the left lane but forgot they were fucking towing a caravan and that was nearly an accident (at about 100kmh (speed limit was 110kmh but the traffic was heavy at that point)). then you have the people who drive so slow around bends because they're scared or whatever (on rural highways/roads (particularly on the south coast)), but then speed up in the overtaking zones so you can't fucking overtake them. unless you speed there too (which i do now do sometimes just to fucking get rid of them)

people who hog the right lane on the motorway... ................... ????????????

eta: the GWH should be duplicated between katoomba and lithgow... or at least there needs to be more overtaking zones between mt victoria and lithgow. there's only really two iirc?? and one of them is uphill and wind-ey and lmao it's a Task to drive it in manual and the car is really tall skfjngkfg (it's 4th gear on the straights/flats and 3rd on the bends to climb/not lose speed so i can OVERTAKE (on the way back/downhill though iirc you can just stay in 4th and brake and just. feel the car re tippyness lmao))

and yeah there's like a dotted line somewhere around hartley but it's really short and the traffic is usually pretty heavy so it's dangerous to do it/you'd have to get lucky with no oncoming traffic... anywayyy

CT glazing ranttttttt (im dyslexic stay with me-)

The first time I watched through CT I was dead ass just amazed at how unique but realistic both angel and lee where written as characters and I’m so so glad that this game reached the audience it did.

like personally I was just shocked the whole play through of how certain things where shown, (e.g lees religious trauma, Angels SA) due to 1. How realistically it was talked about and 2. How relatable it was!!! The post- effects of leaving the church, the way it effects the brain and especially the way your mind thinks about the idea of a god. Finding away to appoint “Sins” to yourself without realising it.

Angels SA also partially hit hard because people always ask victims why they haven’t reported it or done anything legal about it without knowing just how difficult the post-affects of assault IS for the victim, especially when it wasn’t the typical depiction of a violent rape. His questions during the bed-cuddling scene fully made me pause the game because jesssssuus it was realistic.

IDK I just really resonated with this game. It had characters with traumas that DID effect how they behaved (mostly Lee) without letting those behaviours be seen as ok/acceptable because of it, Showing how the trauma side effects as a explanation but not a excuse that Iv seen not really been applied appropriately before it media tackling those topics

Gosh darn, I’ve been reading so much about doing this! I’ve read and watched so much about it goshhhhh!! Yeah, I’d love to teach high school history here in the US...BUT the experience of working in Russia or Spain or France would just be so...Amazing? Yeah, there’s a scare with a man from Novi, so close to where I live in Mich., in Russia being accused of spying so my family is NOT into the idea of me teaching in Russia but we have multiple Russian kids as my school for the exchange program and they’re all so kind and hilarious, I’d love to go to Russia! And Spain is so beautiful, my grandparents have been and my grandma cries when talking about going cause she fell in love with the people and the beach and ????? And going to France is a huge dream for me even if my other grandma hated it frick you grandmama.

I think it would be such an amazing experience, even if I don’t teach there forever. I’d be happy even teaching there for 4-5 years and coming back home to teach in Michigan! Hell, I’d be happy as a clam to go overseas!!!! The biggest clam you’ve ever seen!! Europe is one big clump of countries so on my off days, Hell! I could just pop on over to another country! I’ve driven 26 hours before lol a 5 hour drive from one country to another would be like eating breakfast for me!

Ffffffuck I just want to do this so bad !!! Everyone says that it’s so dangerous to go overseas, they’re not wrong, but I want to experience things! Just another rant

When someone play as a fighter or a samurai, dont expect them to attack the enemies head on. If there is no tank in the team, they'll likely ambush and find the opportunity to BD a mage and carry in the back or find a chance to break the composition. Idk why so many people expect them to tank head on when some of them dont have that much hp or armor lol. For example, Hannya is pretty strong and have high dmg once the enemy has low health so if he rushing in attacking the enemies but no ones follow him with the attack will cause him dead. He's good at split push. So if he roam alone means he sees the opportunity to push, don't blame him if he's not always in a teamfight, he's an offlane hero. Most people will only use the ulti skill when the time is right. So many time I also have to roam aroud clearing every lanes bc no one does. Clear your own lanes first and learn how to BD gdmit. Onmyoji is about laning, objectives and items so reading the situation is important. Sometimes people will ambush near the buff and steal it if the team is not ready. Don't expect some to go in a fight in front of the objectives! So don't blame them if they fail because they're not attacking. Ootengu/Kingyo for example can steal the buff because they're good at zoning but they have low health so they can't just go in and attack.

Mdef item is a must if you encounter more than 2 mages in this game. They won't die for 1 combo like in some other games. Most of the mage in this game do high burst dmg..even more dmg than markmen and they have shield as passive. So many games I don't see a support purchase the mdef robes for a team even though most of the teammates died bc of matk. The play space in this game is pretty large and the demon parades are a real deal. Make space for your team, focus on farming and lanes more than killing in early games..just play safe will make it easier to win. Believe me.

There’s been P/5 discourse by the boatload and I’m doing my best to stay out of it but I’m gonna be honest the reason it bothers me so so much isn’t because I have an issue with different opinions (I’m a teacher so I encourage them), it’s because I’ve had people straight up yelling at and vaguing me over not (dis/)liking something which is obviously incredibly subjective by nature

I know it’s incredibly important to analyze the effects of fiction on reality since they both directly influence each other (considering how cognition works as a whole) but there’s been a general issue in fandom culture to turn arguments into zero-sums about morality like one second I’m talking about how I like P/5 as a revenge fantasy and how Aki//ra and Mi//shima are a cute ship and the next I’m getting yelled at over some bizarro argument about the morality of “necessary killings” and all these other abstract revolutionary anarchy politics

The thing is I never even outright said I hate Ake//chi or anything, my exact words are “I don’t understand” ergo “Please explain this to me” but for whatever reason my lack of comprehension over some character (to which liking or disliking them is arbitrary) has been equated to weird stuff like me saying “Respect your oppressors uwu” I'll have you know I've been to more rallies and protests than I can count on one hand, not that something like that means anything

#nofilter if you guys live in the bay area I’m sure you saw this gorgeous sky yesterday! 🥰 it reminds me of how beautiful life truly is! But also y’all I honestly have to ranttttttt! Some of you make know I work at a salon and at the salon I work at we don’t take our last appts of the day late. I had a lady come 15mins past her appt & I explained to her we can’t do a full blowout only a drystyle because I can’t make the stylists stay past 9pm. She literally was being so rude to me and she was obviously frustrated at this point & said “ I know it’s Friday night and your trying to get out of here but I know your guys late policy.” She cause such a scene in the salon & was disturbing other clients that I was debating on calling the police since she was being extremely difficult. MY OPINIONS ON CULTURAL APPROPRIATION AS A PARTIALLY HISPANIC WOMAN IN AMERICA

I don't believe it exists. Let me explain why. If you use your voice to support and help PoC in America, or at least vote for politicians and leaders that will, I don't mind you experiencing my culture. I actually really appreciate it. I think my culture is beautiful, ask any of my friends and they'll tell you I'm always offering to make them Mexican food, teach them Spanish, etc. However, if you want to go around on Dia de Los Muertos eating sugar skulls and planting marigolds everywhere and speaking Spanish, then turn around the next day and hold a rally for deporting illegal immigrants from Mexico, you can go fuck your racist self. Long story short, if you appreciate my culture and want to protect it and experience it out of curiosity and joy, be my guest! But if you use it as a fashion accessory and try to tear it down, I don't appreciate it. And this applies to all cultures and races around the world. But the reason I made this post was because I saw a really angry video that somebody made about it, saying that if you really appreciated their culture you would try to protect them from racism. She also said something about "I don't want to see it on your white skin." But frankly, I think that's very hypocritical, because you're assuming that all people who are interested in other cultures are inherently racist. THAT IS NOT TRUE. So please, don't feel bad for wanting to experience other cultures. Feel bad for only liking them to look good, but tearing them down and hurting their people the rest of the time.
