It has been some time since I got a new corset from @raouken I always hoped to snatch one for Milo and it finally happened. ♥

Oh my goodness, I just had the most lovely BJD box opening, thank you, thank you to @mismantisbjd 😭💓

In addition to this special one of a kind Lillycat Lyse in Mint resin, the expected part, there was the thing my eyes fell on first. These stunning and wonderful Raouken corsets! Because whoa boy the nostalgia was real with these. I just remember being soooo very covetous of them back in 2015 when Mis got them. In a grab bag I believe? Long discontinued lines to fit dolls like Soom Rossette, Narae, and the Lunnette Lillycat SD body I believe. And oh so many of the other things she included too...like that black and white hoodie that used to belong to her doll, Verve. I feel it’s so special to have these items in my collection now, so thank you so, so much! ♥️

And then yes of course MINT LYSE herself! Wow, she’s positively luminescent, such a gorgeous resin color. This girl was from the last LDoll in 2018, and totally one of a kind. You better believe I was salivating over her back then, (and now!)

She’s incredible, I’m so happy to finally have a Lyse in my collection as well and I just love having both the old Lunnete body in addition to the newer Plum body. So classic and curvey!

Many apologies I wasn’t able to make a box opening video, it was a long day at work and I got home late. I simply had no patience left! But I’ll try to film something next week and share more about Mint Lyse with comparisons between the old and the new SD Lillycat bodies, alright?

The feather skirt one and purple one Giselle (left) is modeling are from my lucky bag, Rue is wearing the bonnet that came with it too. The only corsets that don’t belong to Giselle are the one Rue is wearing and the gray one.

I got a Hellgorci corset for free ( not from her ).The corset is not that ugly but the quality is worse. 1. Its really smelly. I dont know which scent it is but it reminds of smoke or animal scent 2. Hair over the whole piece! 3. Loose threads. I think the most seams are not back stichted and they are not even! I wouldnt mind if she would adjust the price to the quality but she nearly ask for the same price as a Raouken does and by Raouken the quality of materials and work is always on top!

Online resources for making BJD clothes and shoes

(Updated 25 June 2020 with my/ Small Wonder romper pattern) 

I've been wanting to collate a list of quality resources available free online - primarily sewing patterns, but also tutorials and tips.  These are generally ones I’ve found to be pertinent, accurate and useful in crafting for my own dolls.  

I'll be updating this list from time to time.  It is directly accessible from the “Resources” link at the top of my main Tumblr page.  Please feel free to comment if you have something to say or any resources to recommend!

Sites with multiple patterns/ tutorials:-

>> Adams-Harris Pattern Company -  Patterns are mostly paid, but the free ones include stockings, hat and dress patterns with directions for Narae, Souldoll Kid, Elfdoll, Iplehouse SD girl, Resinsoul SD girl, Ange Ai, LittleFee.  Shoe pattern for a pointy-toed 1970′s ladies’ shoe. >> Undead Threads - Patterns for Volks SD13 boy, SD, MSD and Yo-SD.  I haven’t personally tested the patterns except the Yo-SD PJ shirt, but the sewing directions look helpful in any case.

Work in progressing on something new! I'm back in the Netherlands for one month, after which I'll be travelling to artist residencies again for three months. During this month, I'm working on a small collection of MSD sized embroidered corsets, inspired by woodland creatures and my last month spend in the beautiful forests <3 There will be 10 for sale, and one given away to a lucky Patron!

It's pretty fun to make this again, I was sketching last month and it's fun to do these very small art corset collections just a few times a year, and it will also help to fund creating free patterns, so I hope you're excited too!
