Kaito when he got sick he acted like it didn't bother him, but he also would get extremely annoyed, clingy and even bossy...

And the fact that the kid also made a fuss to GET OUT of the shower he DIDN'T want to enter at first also started to pick on his damn nerves...

"What did you even ate before you threw up?" He growled while drying the kid who was sniffing for both being sick and crying out earlier about his father taking him out of the water.

"Just some sliced apples... and a chocolate bar uncle Rappa gave me-"

"WHAT?!" He accidentally yelled, immediately feeling like a dick for making his son flinch from the sound..

From offering small acts of service to satisfy your wants and even allow himself to get out of his comfort zone to touch you...to protecting his kid on the playground like a angry wolf protecting his cub only because the kid had pushed Kaito with a bit more strength than usual.

Chisaki could be very bad with emotions... but he had them, and believing it or not, he felt them strongly.

"Is alright... the doctor already told us it's a common cold... Kaito is still young and is still developing his immune system..." You mumbled, offering to touch his arm as a warning to not make him uncomfortable.

He simply sighed, a sign you could touch him as you started to carres his upper arm...

How Platonic Yandere Overhaul deals with threats

Warning: Mentions of murder, unhealthy behavior, Yakuza business and psychological torment.

Overhaul is highly protective of you, considering that you’re a quirkless child in a world full of filth and corruption.

Anyone who even THINKS of harming you is a dead man walking. Even though Overhaul tends to like getting things over with quickly, he gets especially pissed when someone wants to target you.

Reader is completely innocent of anything Yakuza related. That’s what gets Overhaul mad, You have little to nothing to do with what he or his group does.

He opts for psychological torment of the victim, stalking them, critically injuring their loved ones, driving them outta town before ending their miserable life.

Everyone is in on it as well, except Pops as he’s busy with keeping Reader oblivious to Kai’s activities.

Overhaul wants to preserve your innocence, as You are led to believe that Overhaul is the good guy and is only trying to help everyone by ridding them of a disease.

Besides, everyone can imagine the shitstorm that would ensue if you found out the truth. Rappa is the worst offender when it comes to it, going a bit overboard with the physical violence. (He once tried squaring up with one of your school bullies.)

Moral of the story: Overhaul is the worst Yandere to fuck with.

Honestly, I used to like them, but ever since Penacony ended, the Astral Express have been on thin fucking ice with me.

After pretty much not doing anything for all of Penacony but being treated like they did, Penacony ends with Himeko becoming a capitalist, suddenly revealing that we need to get magic fuel RIGHT NOW or we're all doomed, and having Black Swan temporarily join the Express to lead them to Amphoreus to get their fuel.

...the next update, we go to the Luofu. Black Swan has disappeared. Suddenly, the writers have decided that Trailblazer, March 7th, and Dan Heng were minors this whole time, and that means that Himeko is allowed to lecture them on how going to a festival they were invited to is more important than their home's impending doom. None of what follows seems to be important to the plot except for a twist reveal that seems to be more connected to what Himeko and Welt were doing. That you, as Trailblazer, wasn't allowed to be a part of. Because tHe aDulTs wouldn't let them come.

Outside of some small things (and, you know, this being blatant filler with bad timing), I actually did find the March event to be okay. Not amazing, but okay. But the Wardance with Luka... god... it was so horrible to watch Trailblazer being okay with the IPC npc and Topaz, and refusing to defend Luka from them, but defending him the moment it was Boothill... that event almost single handedly made me hate them. They copy Traveler in the worst ways.

And now, the return to Penacony is the last straw. We repeat the beginning of the last continuance, with Himeko being twice as infantilizing towards the now-minors by having her actively referring to herself and Welt as the grown-ups and forcing them to attend an academy while she and Welt do the 'boring grown up work'. Once again, Black Swan doesn't show up at all, and this time, there isn't even a mention of the extremely important plot point that was established in the last main quest. The only good thing about this quest so far is that Rappa and Reca are actually allowed to be weirdos.

By the time we get to Amphoreus in 3.0, which we could've done months ago instead of adding unnecessary map to Luofu and Penacony and forcing hsr into The Genshin Mold when it has done nothing but make the game worse, nobody will even remember what was supposed to be happening and the Express will be significantly worse characters.

(Man, remember when Himeko treated every member of the Express like their opinions were equal? You would think Mr. Gave A 16 Year Old He Just Met His Herrscher Powers would be against this, but unfortunately he's so ooc in hsr that he goes along with it. Oh yeah, and remember when Trailblazer being silly looked like a nice change of pace after Traveler and not a cover for them being a capitalist bootlicker?)

Dr. Primitive is honestly one of the more interesting mad scientists I've seen. He's got an interesting and fucked up philosophy that feels more magnanimous than just trauma. And he's not receptive to threats. He's very logical except for his emotions which are also in his opinion perfectly logical. It's interesting.

Final thoughts on this patch, after reading some reviews, getting some rest, and editing:

Never a dull moment when the dango trio are together. It was really great getting to have some fun times together with the besties again- it was honestly kind of a disappointment that Dan Heng was never with us for long on Penacony, so having him around for just this little bit was pretty nice. Also, very fun to see him be passionate about something and involve him in the protagonist's shenanigans.

Rappa felt like such a gag character at first (I'm old enough to remember the Pokemon kids from my high school) until we got to her backstory which went SUPER hard and hit like a truck.

Reca has issues. I like him. I still do feel a little disappointed that the whole "look at our villain, he's really fucked up" thing from the trailer was a massive bait and switch. I loved his writing though, and the full version of the film reel scene was INSANE.

But by far my favorite character in this patch is, believe it or not, Dr. Primitive. You saw so much of his philosophy on display within both Rappa's flashbacks and his conversations with the other characters, including the way he manipulates his minions. (And I forgot because I was just on autopilot for some of it, but yes also what kind of specimens really interest him a la Boothill.) Comparisons can definitely be drawn between him and Ruan Mei, both Genius Society members that really give 0 shits about what's good for the rest of the universe. For Genius Society lore enjoyers, this patch's going to be the subject of a lot of conversation.

I saw a lot of criticism on the story, and I'm inclined to agree with it. Not every patch can be a banger, but this one could have used an hour or two less of fluff. The reason the liveblog is so fast at the beginning and slows down by the end is honestly that I just got bored. Participating in every full detail of the villain's plot wasn't COMPLETELY necessary, y'know? This isn't a game like Ace Attorney where you need to know every little bit. Honestly, I had a headache doing all of this in three sessions, and seeing the same jokes and even plot points restated over and over did sort of get to me. I wouldn't say this soured my opinion of anything in the long run, just that I hope this much fluff in a filler patch won't be the way things go in the future. (The previous Xianzhou filler had MUCH better pacing.)

Those were the only words that practically echoed inside Kendo Rappa's head as he huffed and stomped over the halls much like a feral animal.

Usually no one would care about the male's behavior or mood since practically Rappa was an ass most of the times. But apparently the source of his anger was once again Overhaul.

Much like any other day, Rappa demanded a match out of the dark haired male and again lost... miserably. It didn't even lasted one minute since Chisaki seemed kind of like in a hurry for something, and that pissed of Rappa even more.

It pissed him off so much that he was leaving the underground of the house to track Overhaul again to demand a proper rematch, since the asshole wasn't even looking at him when he had the nerves to kill him... again.

"Rappa, I always say how stupid you are, but have you lost your God damn mind?" It was so rare for Tengai to use those kinds of words that even Rappa stopped a bit to actually listen to the more rational and calm man "Master Overhaul already had a rematch with you today, just let it be-"

"The hell he didn't." He growled "The fucker wouldn't even let me finish my sentence and was already using his damn quirk on me, that ain't even a fight! And that asshole just left like nothing happened."

"I consider you more than a idiot then" Tengai hissed as both got up to the main floor, Rappa almost stomping his feet on his way to Overhaul's usual office.

He was so out of it that he didn't even listened to hushed groans and moans....

"LISTEN HERE YOU DAMN FU-" the man almost kicked the door open but soon shut his mouth pretty quick at the scene displayed in front of him.

His "boss" with his back turned towards, neck visible and filled with hickeys, gloves and shirt no where to be seen, scratches all over his back like he was attacked by some cat, it could be seen thanks by the light of room how sweaty, yes, the mysophobic sweating, he was... at least he had his pants on.. he thought... while you, overhaul's partner, sat on the the desk with legs wrapped tightly on Chisaki's waist and nails almost piercing through the male's flesh, your face was flushed and lips parted, eyes wide open in horror shock as you locked gazes with Rappa, hips immediately stopping from meeting with Chisaki as you shrieked.

Oh... and to Rappa's even more embarrassment.. you had your shirt on the damn floor.

"Fuck." He could only mutter that, he could feel his own cheeks almost burning up at the lewd scene in front of him.. clearly he caught his boss fucking.

But soon his embarrassment was changed to fear. Deep fear.

Overhaul immediately stopped moving, slowly moving his arm far enough to grab his shirt to cover your modesty... until he only turned one side of his face towards Rappa... it was one of the most terrifying death stares Kendo had ever saw on his God damn life. It seemed like all the light was drained out of Chisaki's face as his one eye almost sended the poor subordinate to a place worst than hell.

That side glare was enough to leave Rappa a shivering mess before he slammed the door close and got his ass out of there before he could be killed more than twice that day.

"Rappa, where the fuck were you these past two days?!" Mimic yelled at the man as Rappa groaned.

"Trying not to die."

"What?" Mimic arched an eyebrow before Rappa sat down with a heavy sigh and a hand covering half of his face before he put his mask on

"... I walked in when Overhoe was in the middle of a fuck." Rappa muttered which left Mimic widening his and shrieked. "Shut up. I didn't come here for two days in hopes he would calm down enough to not torture me."

"Shit man, sorry but I think that won't happen." Mimic spoke while patting Rappa's back

"Why?"

"Because for these past two days overhaul has been wanting to... talk... with you. And he still wants to..."

"Shit."

Soon a door slammed open while both man jumped at the sudden sound, Rappa could only gulp thick air when he heard (Y/n)'s begging for him to calm down.

Kai was now glaring at him the same way he did two days ago, now with a mask but he swore he could see at least three veins popping on Overhaul's head.

"Rappa." Was the only growl that left Chisaki's mouth before blood was spilled once again in the whole room.

He really should have stayed with his mouth shut that day....

HSR 2.6 Story Spoilers.

Man, I really feel like I went Bananas lmao.

What a weird ass, but also good quest. There is so much to unpack in regards to what I want to say, like, I had heard going into this more, as took time with it, that we'd cover Rappa's past. But Boothills too?!

Honestly, already was a fan of Boothill, but now I want him more when his rerun comes haha.

As for Rappa herself…Man. Fudggin Honkai and their experimental people. Fuck the Genius freaks even more honestly. I want to boot each of them in the face. Maybe minus Screwllum, he's on the good list for now. But felt so bad for her in regards.Hope to see her again.

Also please Hoyo, I don't care if 4 star, as I'd get that 4. Please ensure Mr Reca is a unit. Would be quality. Such a good character, and fun too.

Quick heads up: there’s brief overdose mention and suicide right at the end so be wary of that if you think that’ll be triggering to you.

What I like about him: How much he clearly cares for Tabe and Setsuno (blah blah the camaraderie warms my heart, blah blah trauma from having no friends in school blah blah), pretty Crystals, buff man make brain go brrr.

What I dislike about him: that one screenshot where you can see he’s got stubble under his mask. No. Fucking shave your face dude. You already shave your head. Also that he got no screen time outside of getting his ass kicked :’)

Favourite moment: explaining why he and the other 2/3s of the trash trio are so close and that they’re not worth anything without each other (EEEEEEEEEE-)

Situations I want to see more: Give me day to day trash trio shenaniganary. I want them doing normal stuff: going grocery shopping, hanging out with the other bullets, pestering overhaul, just slice of life stuff. I’d also love his relationships with Toya and Tabe to be developed more. Like, yeah, they’re trash but with each other they’re trash with meaning (EEEEEEEE-*is knocked out) but I want to know the actual dynamics. Toya is supposed to be the leader, do they actual respect that? (See more on this in the head cannon bit)

Interesting AU: One where he’s in a bizarre interlinked family tree with like, 6 others from the series. This is one me and my bf made, I dubbed it the Sin AU because each person’s quirk is from one of the seven deadly sins: Midnight is Lust, Deidoro is Gluttony, Monoma is Envy, Hojo is Greed, Tiger is Sloth, and there were two more I can’t recall at the current time. It doesn’t really do much other than add another layer of depth to the character, but I think it’s cool none the less. (Also I wanna see how the family reunions would go lol)

Crossover: Give this man a cavern crasher, give this man a rock stomper, we’re going to Berk, Gadies and Lents. I wanna see the entire Hassaikai with dragons from how to train your dragon so bad!! (I actually have headcannons for everyone! If you want to know I’ll elaborate in the notes)

OTP: ok ok ok. It’s weird, I know, but you gotta hear me out on this one: Hojo and Pixie Bob. The reason I say this is linked back to the Sin AU (Ibara must have coded my iPad or something, it won’t let me type sin without autocorrecting to sun a million times) because I Headcannon Deidoro and Ragdoll to be friends/partners/no one can fucking tell, so because Ragdoll and pixie are best friends, and in that au Deidoro and hojo were brothers, plus Hojo and tiger were related, it just kinda fell into place. Plus Pixie is super desperate for a partner and I feel like Hojo gets zero bitches, he’s the human embodiment of the ‘No bitches?’ Meme. Anyways.

Other ships: Overhaul and Chrono (because under no circumstance will I ever split them up). Purely cos I saw a post saying that entire rant about the trash trio being useless without overhaul and them owing everything to him was said by Hojo, not Setsuno, and it sounding like he had a crush on him.

BROTP: the rest of the trash trio. Duh.

NOTP: anyone from the league except now that I think about it I can weirdly see him working with Magne? …hm. And any pro too.

Headcannon time!!!

1. While Setsuno is the ‘leader’ of the trash trio, and he’s good at it, don’t get me wrong, he can definitely strategise and knows what he’s doing, he’s terrible at just…existing day to day life, so Hojo typically has to help him. He’s his common sense, in a way. He’s to Setsuno what Tengai is to Rappa, just both are a lot happier with the arrangement.

2. He and Setsuno actually knew each other before they joined the hassiakai, not well but they attended the same school and had a few classes together.

3. He’s 22 years old and the oldest of the trash trio. He’s also the third tallest in the bullets at 6’1 (only Rappa and Katsukame are taller cos…yeah. Btw this is completely ignoring the canon evidence showing otherwise because Tabe is not allowed to be tall. He is baby and he is no taller than 5’3 and I will bite anyone who says otherwise. I’m only saying this because I want to be taller than at least one person in the hassiakai-)

4. Sad backstory time. He was orphaned: his dad cheated on his mum before Hojo was born and his mum died of a drug overdose when he was around four. He was then moved to live with his aunt who..wasn’t an amazing parent but was better than what he had previously. As he got older, about 16, he found out what actually happened with his parents, and attempted to find his dad. He eventually managed to get in contact with him- however his dad wanted nothing to do with him. This destroyed him and he attempted to end his life, however overhaul found him and took him in. A few months later, Setsuno joined, and then Tabe about half a year after that, and with that, the trash trio was fully formed.

Huh. Didn’t know I had that much to say about him. I really thought I’d have a few sentences for each question…anyways, hope you enjoyed!

(: “- Hood’s High-end form has some similarities to the Venom Symbiote, especially in the way his body mass grows and propagates to replace damage, so I’m assuming his power worked on a similar principle, without being a genuine ‘full reset’ button like Hyper Regeneration was, which is what AFO would have wanted. Guy wouldn’t just have wanted to be healed, he’d have wanted the damage to basically never have occurred in the first place.

2) “Hum… So is plan B to hold him back so Rappa and Mirko can go outside and get backup? Terrible plan my man, the police is still in the middle of the picnic, and they haven’t even taken their nap! Don’t be this heartless! Also, what would the police even be helpful here. … They are gonna call All Might, aren’t they?”- When Superman gets a call from Gotham to resolve Batman’s problems for him…

3) “Hey guys, just an idea, but you might want to use those prop guns against her”- They never anticipated an escapee who could pull off the most tricky evasive method: Jump Good.

4) “MIRKO PLEASE WHY WOULD YOU EVEN SCREAM THAT, YOU GAVE AWAY YOUR PLAN YOU COULD’VE BEEN HIT WITH A PROP GUN BY ACCIDENT! “- I’m gonna assume that was the guards yelling out to Hood to stop her, rather than he announcing her successful escape…or she did that to distract Hood and let Rappa step into his blindspot.

5) “Oh wow what the fuck is this now that I think about it, not even the High-end could pull something this absurd”- Pretty sure this was Hood’s original Quirk, but when added with Muscular’s Muscle-growing power it was a synergy that really allowed him to expand the reach of his Quirk’s potential, and his own body mass as well.

6) “Wait what? You mean that rappa was here this whole time?! Amazing, I would have never guessed it!”-

Teleports Behind You. “It’s extremely personal.”

7) “And I think the bunny is out of the bag there. F’s on the chat for Hood, he didn’t got down with the sickness”- And now Dr Might will be in the house to bring him down.

8) “I have… an unspeakable and immeasurable rage boiling inside of my chest cavity… Not because the author resorted to pulling the All Might card to deal with a problem he didn’t knew how to solve but because in-universe this is exactly what would be expected. This is the most canon-compliant action the characters took this entire arc And that fills me anger”- Furuhashi; sticking to canon when it will most annoy you, specifically.

9) “GASP! A BUNNY! FLYING! RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE PICNIC! WHAT AN ABSURD!”- Now, bears intruding on a pic-a-nic, that’s to be expected.

10) “YEAH GUYS, WHAT A STRANGE SIGHT. I WONDER HOW THE FUCK YOU DIDN’T SAW HER GOING IN, SINCE THERE’S ONLY ONE ENTRANCE APPARENTLY”- They were all on their smoke break, and the clouds of cigarette smoke hid her from view.

11) “Yeah. Seems like we’re also approaching the end of the arc. And All might’s gonna show up in a few seconds to save the day, but considering Hood shows up later, I can already assume someone’s gonna tail it from here the moment the muscles show up. And how that connects with the current conflict with Koichi back in the present day is… … “- This was a cool arc, and gave us some fun cameos and hints as to how Knuckles turned out the way he did, but with his exclusion from the present narrative, it does feel super-disconnected to the present-day events with Koichi, save how he’s now dealing with a warped vision of Knuckles’ past legacy.

Which now, after properly finished and with all the information provided by it I can finally say:

why in the fuck was it even included here

Like, holy shit, I was already questioning how anything that could've come up in the flashback could benefit the plot in the present, since Koichi was not even involved in learning about what we saw it was a cop revisiting an old file, and then the chapter ends with McBee killing said cop and erasing all evidence

Net zero information gain for the story. Could've added those last five pages to a chapter as footnote and it would've been just as effective, perhaps even more effective.

Like, no joke, what did we even learned there? And I don't mean that Hoodie and Mirko fought before or that Rappa and Mirko helped a pro hero before going their separate ways, I mean, what information here was meaningful for understanding the Vigilantes manga itself.

I can't think of a single thing. We know AfO was behind it all along, we know he stole O'Clock quirk, the only thing that changed here was a recontextualization that it wasn't mere chance, he was after the quirk for a long time.

This was, just like Aizawa's arc, a bad choice. Not because the contents of the arc were bad mind you, although they were a little bit too plot-holey for my tastes, but because they completely killed the momentum of the story to talk about things that are not even important for what's going on

holy fuck man make a short spin-off to talk about Knuckle's fight against Hoodie separated from the main spin-off, every time we start getting some speed the author just erects a wall so we slam face first, and only when we finally get around to climbing it he goes "there, that changed nothing in the plot, now you can continue where you left"

I try to not be overly negative and mean, but jesus christ, it is so fucking hard considering what Furuhashi does to this manga. I don't want to just keep kicking it down when I liked it so much at the start, but christ almighty

The only good thing out of this, besides Rappa's side glance, was that we're finally back to present past, and we can return to koichi. Especially now that McBee decided to McLose it and go full apeshit, that's gonna be entertaining to watch, and I swear to god if the next chapter dares to pull the breaks by showing me stuff that is not relevant to the story...
