Pulse Hunter / Sky's Embrace Guide

to make the most out of this limited-wish banner here's a quick review of what to expect from pulse hunter/sky's embrace with some suggestions at the end. regardless if you're a new player pulling for the first time or a veteran player who has already experienced it during 2.0's launch i hope this helps prepares you. good luck with your pulls! may you get the memories you want 🫶

🍎 What is Pulse Hunter / Sky's Embrace / Xspace Echo?

Pulse Hunter is a limited-wish banner that was first introduced during Sylus's debut in Love and Deepspace version 2.0 - Opposing Visions (07/14/2024). This was the first time they introduced a 5-star selector banner like this, which is why you'll often see older players refer to this banner type as Pulse Hunter. It ran concurrently with Sylus's limited-time banner [No Defense Zone]. This special banner essentially guarantees that you will only pull one of the five selected memories within 70 pulls or less, depending on your luck. To differentiate between banner versions, they simply renamed this limited-wish banner as Sky's Embrace for or Caleb's debut in Love and Deepspace 3.0 - Cosmic Encounter (01/22/2025). Aside from the name change the structure of the banner is exactly the same as Pulse Hunter. This banner will also run concurrently with Caleb's limited-time banner []. Xspace Echo is the standard banner that's available permanently. It is NOT to be confused with the above limited-wish banners. ‼️ When pulling make sure you're on the correct banner ‼️ I cannot stress this enough. Do not mistakenly use your tickets on the wrong one.

🍎 What memories are available? How many can I choose?

In this special banner players are allowed to select up to five 5-Star Memories (5) of their choosing from the Xspace Echo wish pool - no more, no less. All of the newly added Caleb's 5-star memories (2 solars, 3 lunar) will also become available. Companions you can obtain are the following: ⭐ Xavier's Lightseeker (LS) ❄️ Zayne's Foreseer (FS) 🐟 Rafayel's Abysswalker (AB) 🐦‍⬛ Sylus's Relentless Conquerer (RC) 🍎 Caleb's Farspace Colonel (FC) Take note limited-time 5-star memories are excluded from the selector, as they do not get included into the wish pool after their respective banner ends.

🍎 Can you change your selected memories?

Once you confirm your selected 5 memories you CANNOT change them later on. It is important that you choose wisely.

🍎 What currency does it use?

There are two ways to pull on this banner-- Empyrean Wishes, obtainable through item shop / wish shop / chocolate shop / heartsand shop / completing agenda: weekly tasks. Diamonds.

🍎 How many times can we pull on this banner?

The cap for this banner is 350 pulls. After that you won't be able to pull anymore. With a maximum of 350 pulls you can obtain a minimum of five 5-star memories, potentially more if you're lucky to hit early or pull multiple 5-stars in one 10x.

🍎 What are the probability rates?

There are no rate ups for this limited-wish banner. The rates are the same, as seen in the image above from the standard banner, Xspace Echo. As mentioned earlier this special banner guarantees that you will only pull one of the five selected memories of your choosing within 70 pulls or less.

🍎 Does pity carry over?

Pulse Hunter/Sky's Embrace has a separate pity system. For veteran players, if you've pulled previously during Version 2.0 then your pity from [Pulse Hunter] will carry over into [Sky's Embrace]. You should be able to view your pull history once the banner is live. Your pity from the limited-time wish banner and Xspace Echo are different banners, therefore will not carry over into Pulse Hunter/Sky's Embrace.

🍎Banner pull rewards?

Incentive rewards for pulling on [Sky's Embrace] are as follows: 25 - Wish Crate: SR x1 75 - Wish Crate: SR x1 100 - Sun Crate: Random x1 (from your selected 5) 200 - Sunlight Crate x1 (can choose from your selected 5) You can select the memories from the SR crates, however, those crates only contain 4-star solar memories obtainable through Xspace Echo. All of the selectable crates can only be claimed ONCE so make sure you pick the correct memory of your choosing when opening them.

If you've made it this far thank you for taking the time to read all of this! As a veteran player who has pulled before here are my advice and tips!

This is the BEST way to get any of standard banner Companions that you haven't unlocked yet! I highly recommend selecting solar memories over lunars, as they are harder to come by when pulling. Lunar memories will eventually be available on a rotation via the Wishing Well exchange shop for 180 stardust (blue crystals).

You can exchange resources in game to obtain Empyrean Wishes to help save your diamonds for the limited-time wish banner instead. If you have to spend diamonds for pulls, the exchange rate is 150 Diamonds = 1 Empyrean Wish. HEARTSAND SHOP (weekly) * 5 Empyrean Wishes = 150 Memory Heartsand: SR (purple sands) * 10 Empyrean Wishes = 60 Memory Heartsand: SR (yellow sands) CHOCOLATE SHOP (weekly) * 1 Empyrean Wish = 600 Chocolates WISHING WELL* 10 Empyrean Wishes = 90 Stardust (blue crystals) [monthly discounted at 9/per] * 1 Empyrean Wish = 12 Stardust (blue crystal) [unlimited]

MAKE SURE YOU'RE PULLING ON THE RIGHT BANNER! I said this before, but make sure you're on [Sky's Embrace] and not Xspace Echo. It didn't happen to me, however, I have seen horror stories of players accidentally wasting their Empyrean Wishes/Diamonds on the wrong banner.

I know we're all excited to pull for Caleb, but I would highly recommend unlocking Caleb's companion / [With Him] via Main Story before pulling. That way you can start earning affinity points when doing your pulls for his memories. If you are also going to be pull for his limited-time banner, I would suggest pulling on that banner first before making your selection in Sky's Embrace. On the off chance you get that missing solar pair you can save that slot for another memory. Also note that we are going to get one of his lunar 5-star memories for FREE via event. So make sure you choose wisely when making your selection.

What to spend your selectable 5-star memory crates on? If you haven't unlocked a companion yet I would suggest doing that over a memory duo rank up, just because it will help you in the long run should you need it to clear a trial or stage. But don't let me tell you what to do. If you want that duo rank 2 for the alternate outfit color or R3 sole for getting a complete duo rank 3 pair then go for it~

Since our boy Caleb is coming in early/mid Jan (half confirmed half not, tbh idk anymore) I will be dropping my theory regarding his 💥 scene and he how he is still alive and if grandma is still alive too.

Theory 1

HE PLOTTED THE EXPLOSION

What actually happened?

Caleb planned that bombing and informed grandma from the start which is why he follows MC when she went out, so technically at that time, Grandma exited the house and the explosion happened. He used his evol (telekenisis) to save himself. Probably make barrier with some of the stuff at home. Or they have secret bunkers under the house.

Why did he do that?

Caleb faked their death (him & grandma's) because Ever is hunting them down. They probably want MC to be safe at the same time erase their trace (perhaps to avoid MC from hanging around with them, which will increase the probability for MC to get more entangled with Ever). Also, that bombing matched the current news of how some of the recent fire/bombing case that broke out in some area near their neighbourhood (Grandma's house) for 'no reason'. (I think I remember the news says it was from some common reasons like wire spark but we know it's not it)

Why Ever want them de@d?

Remember that, most of the victims that died in the news were related to Ever in their past. Grandma used to work with a research center (Gaia Research Center) that Ever invested in. This RC does experiments on evolver like MC and Caleb. That's also how she adopted both of them when they were kids after some things happened to the RC. Most of the researchers went to work with Ever but some that realised what they did was wrong, stopped pursuing the research which is why later, Ever starts hunting them down because they know too much.

Theory 2

EVER CAUSED THE EXPLOSION

What actually happened?

Ever caused that bombing and Caleb used his evol to save himself but unfortunately he wasn't able to save Grandma. Probably used his evol to save himself like make an invisible shield using particles around him or use some of the houses furniture to lessen the damage on himself. I came up with this because we never know how well he can control his evol but since he was an Airforce cadets, he probably controls it well. So he used that explosion as an opportunity to fake his death and hide his presence from the rest of the world including MC.

Why he hid for a long time?

Caleb disappearance will make Ever believes that they have eliminated both, Grandma and Caleb, so they won't be pursuing them anymore and MC will be safer. Also, I heard some players speculate that he went to N109 Zone where Sylus resides and hides there since it's hard for normal people especially non hunters to reach that place without the right cabel and ability to protect oneself. In his hiding, I think he frequent in and out to stalk MC too. He probably knows more about Ever than MC through Grandma since he seems to remember about their childhood more than MC. He probably starts investigating deeper into Ever or he already have leads and just continuing from there.

Theory 3

HE WORKS UNDER EVER

What actually happened?

This one is a bit wild but also many players already speculated this. He was told to eliminate Grandma which is why he made the explosion triggers at the same time he enters the house. This will makes Ever people thinks he is to naive to kill Grandma and decides to follow Grandma to heavens PFTTTT. But then let's just say Grandma is a wise granny and has a bunker under her house so that's where she stays most of the time if MC and Caleb is not around and she told Caleb about it one day, where Caleb decides to use the opportunity to fake their death. But poor MC got depressed thinking they're actually gone but it's a great plan since MC's emotion is so raw and real that everyone believes their death, including Ever.

Why I think he works with Ever?

Probably because Grandma is still alive despites being one of the main researcher that does experiments on those evolvers... Idk it's just a thought aka possibility. He might be in an undercover mission too. I don't really have explanations for this theory because I don't really have much interest in what he possibly own that will make him an important l.i like the others. Sylus having a crucial role for being Onychinus leader and a prominent figure in N109 Zone. Rafayel being the one to have most cable from both the dark market and normal market because of his popularity as an artist (I forgot what it's called so bear with me). Zayne being the renowned cardiology doctor that research about protocore syndrome for the sake of MC. Lastly, Xavier being the legendary Lumiere.

Like where is Caleb in all of that, right? Will he be portrayed as someone like Zayne where he's just a normal citizen that but gets entangled in things for MC sake? Or will be portrayed as someone like Sylus where he's is related to shady stuff in the background and a prominent figure somewhere but actually he's just making sure MC is safe?

Emerging Quarterbacks Jayden Daniels and CJ Stroud Drive Card Sales

The 2024 football season was dynamic for card prospecting, which involves buying cards of emerging talents with the potential to break out as stars. At the top of the heap were quarterbacks CJ Stroud and Jayden Daniels. The latter earned the collegiate Heisman Trophy with LSU in 2023 and was the second overall pick of the 2024 draft after Caleb Williams.

Daniels started strong with the Washington Commanders, seamlessly executing coordinator Kliff Kingsbury’s offensive strategy and leading the team to 12 victories. Highlights of his rookie season included a game-winning Hail Mary pass downfield in week eight and an upset win over the Detroit Lions in blizzard conditions in the playoffs. Among Daniels’ noteworthy stats were a 25-9 touchdown-to-interception ratio and a 69 percent pass completion rating.

Completing 3,568 passing yards, Daniels also excelled in finding gaps in the defense and notched 891 rushing yards and six rushing touchdowns, a new rookie NFL record. He was only the third rookie quarterback (along with Ben Roethlisberger and Dak Prescott) to achieve 12 victories or more since 1935. Daniels’ on-field success translated into explosive football card sales, with his flagship Panini Prizm rookie base #347 selling for $130 in gem mint PSA 10 in an eBay auction in March 2025. The short-printed Silver Prizm Rookie RC #347 in gem mint PSA 10 sells for significantly more, around $1,300. Rare parallels of the Prizm rookie can attain thousands of dollars. For example, a Gold Choice parallel /10 graded PSA 9 attained $9,900, and a super short-print Prizm Rookie Manga insert sells for nearly the same in PSA 10. One unique issue, a Jayden Daniels/Terry McLaurin Rookie Color Blast insert in PSA 10 brought $6,600 at auction.

In rookie patch autograph (RPA) cards, a highly collected category, Jayden Daniels’ Topps Chrome RPA Gold is the flagship issue. In raw and ungraded condition, this card, numbered up to 50, consistently sells for $2,500 in auctions.

CJ Stroud, an emerging quarterback with the Houston Texans, led his team to a 10-7 record in 2024, his second year in the league. His high-IQ play and unflappability under pressure earned his team No. 1 ranking in the AFC South and a wildcard playoff spot. The team capitalized on this with a win against the Chargers. Like Jayden Daniels and the Commanders, the Texans made it two games into the playoffs, defeating the Los Angeles Chargers in the Wild Card before falling to two-time defending Super Bowl champs, the Kansas City Chiefs.

Among Stroud’s most collected rookie issues is the 2023 Prizm #339, which has more than 50 parallels, including unnumbered silvers and serial-numbered issues, such as the Gold Prizms /10 and Black Finite 1/1. As registered on eBay in January 2025, a gem-mint PSA 10 base Stroud rookie sells in the $40 to $50 range. The silver parallel, in the same grade, brings in around $650. A PSA 10 Gold Sparkle /24 brought $6,855, while the Black Finite sold for $53,680 in a June 2024 auction.

Another key Stroud issue is the super short print Absolute Kaboom! The insert combines a flash refractive background with a manga-like player image and comes in horizontal and vertical orientations. A 2023 vertical rookie Kaboom! in PSA 10 condition sold for $9,100, while the horizontal Kaboom! Sold for $3,800. The numbered Gold /10 and Green 1/1 Kabooms can go much higher, with a vertical Green selling for $72,000 in auction in September 2024.

Over twenty years ago, Beau’s father made a deal with a “witch” (this sounds a lot like a classic Hag deal to me) for a tip on how to get rich. He hasn’t heard from her since but worries she’ll come to collect his debt.

Five years ago, Caleb had a spell cast on him, either Greater Restoration or Remove Curse, by a woman in the asylum. GR is 5th level, requires a 100 gp component, and can be cast by a Bard, Cleric, or Druid. RC is 3rd level, does not require components, and could be cast by a Cleric, Warlock, or Paladin. Remove Curse seems to make more sense here, so it’s likely this woman was a Cleric. Based on Caleb’s reaction to the symbol of the Archeart (god of light and magic) in the swamp, we might tentatively say someone who worshiped them. They are an outlawed god, which might explain why this person was then also held in the same asylum Caleb was in. 

Two years ago, Lucien was working with a “woman,” a “spellslinger from the capital” when his ritual went horribly wrong and the Tombtakers buried him. We know she then took whatever book Lucien was attempting to do the ritual with. There’s no evidence one way or the other as to if that woman was involved in Molly waking up where Lucien was buried. 

A year ago, Veth was killed by a group of goblins after the goblin chief’s wife told a mysterious human woman “make her suffer.” Veth then woke up as a goblin. This sounds like a targeted version of the spell Reincarnate, which can only be cast by a Druid. Nott also states that this woman lived with the goblins, and seemed to have some kind of arrangement with them (perhaps sort of like the human priest we saw with the gnolls in the early part of the game).

I might be wrong but it just seems...highly unlikely to me that this is all the same person. The timeline is very long, and the spell usage in each case seems to heavily indicate some very different classes involved. I do think it’s likely Lucien got mixed up with a Scourger, but I don’t see any other obvious connections here, besides gender. The idea that this person is time-jumping doesn’t sit right with me either, as that idea seems outside of the scope of the kind of storytelling in CR’s version of D&D. This would imply that someone had “written” the end of the story already, and that certain things have to happen, which seems to run counter to open-ended, improv storytelling.
