this isnt really related to the eshops at all but

some of my favourite stupid kinda impractical things from homebrew across multiple nintendo consoles:

using the Wii as a webserver, an email receiver (if forwarded to your RC24 address) or RSS feed receiver (RSSMii)

Using the Wii U as a drawing tablet over LAN,

Using a DualShock 4 on my 3DS through my PC thanks to luma's InputRedirection,

and using my ENTIRE nintendo switch as an HID controller over USB via Hekate. Wonderful

that and running android on the switch but honestly. it sucksssssss

doesn't even support the accelerometer OR gyroscope in the switch itself. so whats even the point of switchroot... what am i brewing for....

MIGHT HAVE TO TRY OUT THE WII U ONE??? all of these sound sick tbh i might have to try out some :D i havent messed with my consoles in a while it's about time i changed that i love fun little things that ultimately dont rlly do shit theyre really cool

On January 20th, 2024, all the chaos happened because of Larsen, screensharing a tab in a voice chat that contained Discord usernames, IPs and even console serials. Means that Larsen has doxxed people by doing this, this is a very huge risk even if he didn't screenshare the tab. For every RiiShop users: We're very sorry about that.

Plus the donation funds that is used to power RiiShop is horribly mismanaged, allowing Dakotath to buy inappropriate stuff.

It is now locked down and shut off forever because of this.

Past several days, Lars went insane and spontaneously banned people, as well as locking down the server for indefinite periods of time. We don't recommend this project (glad i never used it) and we will NOT expect that the RiiShop project is expected to continue to last at the very least in its healthy state, and it would be the best if you've avoided it to protect your time and privacy.

New additions of note are two libraries from Heavyocity in the form of Evolve and Damage which are both superb! We also see Action Strings making an appearance too. Komplete 9 Ultimate adds over 30 (yes, over 30!) additional libraries from the likes of e-Instruments, Heavyocity and Scarbee. Kontakt 5 alone ships with a large and extremely useful and varied factory library covering a lot of ground and has some great 'bread and butter' sounds. The Kontakt 5 sample engine is extremely powerful and its KSP scripting features have allowed 3rd party developers to create some really wonderful instruments and libraries for it. Kontakt is arguably the most widely used and supported sampling platform in music production. So what's new and what do you get for your money? Komplete 9 Ultimate features such a diverse range of synths, production tools and sound libraries that you could make any kind of music you want with it. The only thing that wasn't 'Komplete' was that the RC24 and 48 reverbs came as a separate download once the product is activated, but they're automatically authorized once installed. Simply authorize the software in the Service Center and you're good to go.
