Whenever I experience a story that has a spell or a curse that prevents people from talking about specific very important things, all I can think of is the NUMEROUS ways someone could VERY BLATANTLY HINT at their situation without actually breaking the rule / invoking the magical punishment.
The characters in question are never even clever enough to try, though. Which just feels like the writers lack imagination... or understanding of how people actually think.
Examples of stories I've encountered with this trope include Fire Emblem Fates, Re:Zero, and - to a lesser extent - The Ancient Magus' Bride.

I mean, some of these characters are debatable whether or not they are actually femboys, but they do fit the definition.

Autistic Anime Boys Side B Round 1 Match 32
Propaganda:
Subaru -
"Has a hard time understanding the way other people feel when it's different from his own. Doesn't understand things seen as common courtesy and takes them as a personal slight against him because of how he's been treated in the past."
Yusei -
"Has a very flat, monotone voice, doesn't seem to understand social niceties and will just say whatever he thinks needs to be said, hyperempathy, obvious special interests in mechanics and cards, strong sense of justice, his best friend once said a long spiel he had about motorcycles was "the longest he had ever heard him talk.""
