Synopsis: it was time for another promotional video shoot for the Street Woman Fighter 2 in collaboration with MAC cosmetics and W Korea

Cw: suggestive, fluff. POV might be all over the place — switching from 2nd to 3rd Person POV— because I'm indecisive.

All real names and businesses mentioned in this story are only used as characters, the following scenes in this story is purely fictional and does not reflect to the real lives of the people and other entities mentioned.

The whole set is bustling at how busy everyone is. People are walking around, carrying heavy cameras, lights, bags and crates full of equipment.

All the staff are excited to work with the guests that will be arriving today, the leaders of Street Woman Fighter 2 are coming together to endorse the brands: CK and MAC.

The stylists prepares their stations and the clothes the 8 women will wear while the camera crew sets up a few lights, and video camera to document the styling process later.

"Where is Y/n?! That girl should be here by now, our guests would be here any minute and our photgrapher is still nowhere to be found!" The director shouts at everyone as some of the staff fumbles on their phone trying to get in contact with the said photographer.

"I messaged her, she said she is still waiting for a cab, she'll be here in 15 minutes" one of the staff nervously answered. The director rubs his temple before letting out a frustrated sigh.

"Tell her to be here in 10 or else she's fired!" The director shouts, just in time the door opens, revealing 8 women who are admiring the spacious set up.

"Hello! Welcome, we are so happy that all of you are here now. Please right this way, the staff will lead you to your dressing room now" the director's expression changes as he greeted the leaders and ushering them to follow one of the staff members.

"For the love of God and everything that is holy, take your time with their make up, do it as slow as possible, we need to buy more time before Y/n arrives." The director whispered at a stylists.

The door opens abruptly for the second time revealing the girl they were all looking for, Y/n arrives at the scene wearing a baggy white shirt and gray sweats as the straps of her camera bag is wrapped around her shoulders.

"Finally, the guests are already here, where have you been?" The director approaches the photographer. "Jeez do you know how bad the traffic was? I had to run down the street just to arrive here on time" the girl answered.

"I don't need your excuses, go to the dressing room already and take some behind the scenes shots. NOW!" The director quickly pushed her to the dressing room, making her stumble on her feet as she enters it.

Everyone looks at Y/n because of her sudden entrance, awkwardly the photographer bowed as she mutters an apology to everyone.

"Woah, she look so handsome" Funky Y muttered to Halo, and she just nodded in agreement. The leaders look at you and admire your charisma.

"She gives me the same vibes Bada has, not gonna lie" Kirsten said which made Bada look at the girl, before smiling shyly.

"Uhmm, hi I'll be your photographer for today's shoot. I'm Y/n by the way." You bowed to everyone as the leaders welcomes you.

The stylists started getting everyone ready, as you go over each of the leaders, documenting the behind the scenes.

The leaders hyping each other up as they all saw each other in their sexy outfits and you captured each moments...

But it seems that you also captured the leaders' hearts, especially one leader in particular... Bada Lee.

The leaders were now ushered in front of the white background set up.

"Ladies, look at all of you looking so beautiful." The director once again welcome the leaders "We'll start now with the shooting, our dear photographer here would gladly lead you to what you need to do" he pointed at you who is busy setting up your camera.

The leaders are excited to work with the handsome photographer as they now step in the camera, waiting for the instructions.

Y/n walks to a speaker and connects to it before playing a random song on spotify. Once the dancers heard the beat they immediately move to the rhythm albeit being confused.

"There we go!" Y/n started hyping the dancers up as she starts rolling the camera. "Just do your own thing, dance" The girl instructed to which the leaders followed, moving to the beat, almost like playing around.

After a few shots, it was now time for their solo shoot, the music still playing as one by one posed for the camera, looking at the lenses seductively.

Y/n couldn't help but blush behind the camera as the attrative women seems to flirt with her, hoping that the leaders doesn't notice it whenever she takes close up shots of them dancing

Soon it was Bada's turn. The leader of Bebe started dancing, swaying her hips. The other leaders hypes the girl up which boost Bada's confidence, moving more seductive now as she moves closer to the camera.

Y/n could swear she stopped breathing right then and there. "O-oh nice, that's it" she stutters which everyone at the set had caught on as they all started laughing.

"Ms.Photographer got shy all of the sudden" Nob and Mina cheered, making you blush even more.

"Bada, take it easy, you're making the poor girl flustered" Lia teased, you had to put down the camera for a while as the director joins in teasing you.

"Ahhh so cute" the two international leaders gushed over at your flustered state. Bada smiles sweetly to you, before you started taking photos again.

After shooting the final shot, it was time for a short 10 minute break for everyone. The leaders started approaching you as showed them some of their shots.

"Oh look how sexy this shot is" Akanen pointed out to a clip of Bada, Lia and Kirsten swaying their hips as their hands is tucked inside their pants'.

Bada smirks as she saw how you zoomed in on her ass and body in that shot, as the others fangirls over them.

"Ms. Photographer really did a great job" everyone agrees, even the director that was about to chew you alive earlier. You cower away, not knowing how to take the compliments that they were throwing your way.

Soon the break ended and the dancers are changing their outfits, that's when the leaders approached you once more, asking for you to take pictures with them which you reluctantly agreed to.

You guys did tons of fun poses with them, and they even asked for your instagram and kakaotalk.

But the fun ended when the dancers were called for an outfit change. You wave to them as each one started making their way back to the dressing room.

One by one the leaders enter the dressing room, but you saw Bada still not going inside, her phone in hand as she took more photos of herself.

"She seems to like taking pictures huh?" A voice suddenly snaps you back from reality, it was the director, "you're staring Ms.Y/n" he chuckled as you blushed once again.

You look back at Bada who is now dancing to "Empire State of Mind" by Jay-Z . Her dance moves looks so enticing, you just can't help yourself.

On the other side, Bada knows what she is doing, she knows that the photographer is looking at her as she danced to the song.

Bada smiles as she finishes and save it to her drafts later to post it. As she start taking pictures of herself once more, it's not everyday she get to wear something so revealing like this. It really gives her more confidence, especially when a certain hot photographer is there watching her.

"Excuse me, Ms. Bada Lee. I see that you are taking pictures, why not let Y/n here do that for you" the director calls out as he saw Bada trying to set a timer on her camera.

Y/n immediately snaps back at the director, eyes wide and face flushed. Bada seems to like the idea and walks to the photographer.

The director pushes you towards the dancer after whispering "I'm doing you a favor, thank me later" he pats her back as Bada finally approached Y/n.

"I'm sorry if I'm bothering you—" Y/n cuts Bada off "oh no, its not a bother. I'm still on break and besides looks like there's an issue with the dressing room" Y/n said in a cool manner at least for Bada, as the girl pointed out the leaders coming out of the dressing room once again, still dressed in their previous attire.

"Why not let me take some pictures of you, for instagram. Just while you guys wait for the stylists to call you back again for outfit change" the photographer proposed to which Bada agreed as the two goes around the studio, taking pictures here and there.

Until they reach a place where there's not much people, Bada leans on a wall as she posed for another pic, Y/n couldn't help but feel her heart beat loudly as the dancer posed in a much more seductive way.

Bada noticed the photographer biting down her lips as she posed, she couldn't help but smirk. There is just an obvious tension between the two.

"There we go. What do you think?" Y/n walks up to the tall girl, showing the photos she took with Bada's phone.

Bada thinks that she really did a great job with the pictures, but she just can't focus on it as Y/n stands close to her. Y/n looks back at Bada, noticing the dancer's gaze on her, making eye contact with her.

By then the tension rises more as Y/n unconsciously looks down at Bada's lips, making her bite down once again on her lip. This is was immediately noticed by Bada, and somehow an unexplainable force just compels the two to finally crash their lips on each other.

Y/n puts the dancer's phone on her pocket as she pushed Bada against the wall, pinning her against it as her tongue licked the leader's bottom lip, asking for permission to which Bada accepts.

Their breath starts getting deeper and shorter as they pull each other, desperate for more. But the need for oxygen finally gets to them as they pulls back.

"Well that's—hah—something" you said as you both catch your breath. Bada looks at you with pleading eyes as she wraps her arms once again on your neck. You knew what she want but decided to tease her.

"What's with that look?" You smirk as she pouts "the kiss felt good... I want more" Bada said in a hush tone and you gave what she wanted, connecting your lips once again, now in a much more gentle way, unlike earlier, aggressive, fueled by lust and desperation.

Bada couldn't help but moan into the kiss, Y/n might be a shy type of person, but due to her masculine personality, there is still a bit of boldness hidden in her somewhere, and it is finally showing as Y/n wraps her hand around the dancer's waist, pulling her in closer.

"Y/N L/N WHERE ARE YOU?!" a screeching noise echoes through the whole studio as the megaphone feedbacks from how loud the director's voice was.

"Well that's our cue" Y/n pulls away from the kiss as Bada nodded shyly. "But I do enjoy... uh, this" she points at bada and herself "...so why don't we continue this some other time? How about we go out for dinner next time?" The photographer proposes, as Bada smiles.

"Is the handsome photographer asking me out on a date?" Bada flirts back. "If only the super hot and sexy choreographer agrees to" Y/n retorted with a wink.

The two giggles as they made their way back, Y/n droping Bada off on the dressing room before heading to where the director is.

"There you are—why is your lipstick smudged?" The director pointed out which brought out Y/n's shy personality once again as she covers her face with her camera.

The following shoot after the break were nothing but the leaders and staffs teasing you and Bada as you two interacts with each other, acting like you two didn't disappear out of everyone's sight earlier before making out.

Photoshooot- Part 3

Lee: Hyunjin Ler: Minho Word count: 2.2k

Hyunjin and Seungmin cackled as they ran away from a fuming Minho for what seemed to be the millionth time today. “Hyunjin, I swear to god, do that ONE more time and I will kill you. And you Kim Seungmin, I promise you won’t be smiling by the time I’m done with you.” The amount of venom dripping from his voice ought to have scared the two brats off, but they had chosen to be selectively deaf today.

Seungmin eventually learnt that Minho did, in fact, mean what he said when he was dragged off to the dressing room during their break after he had messed around one too many times. It was obvious what went on behind the closed doors when screams and pleas ensued amidst desperate laughter and 5 minutes later, Minho walked out with a blushy, messy haired puppy in tow. The obvious tear tracks and heaving shoulders earned him enough teases from everyone to last the rest of their filming.

For the remainder of their break and their MV shooting, Seungmin stayed well out of Minho’s way, flinching away with giggly apologies every time the older wiggled his fingers in his direction, smirking in satisfaction at the reactions he got.

In retrospect, Hyunjin thought he should really have taken the hint then, he really should have let Minho be. But his lee mood had suggested otherwise, and really, who was he to fight that? “Piggy,” he called out just as Minho sat down, having just finished his part. Minho sighed, tilting his head up to shoot a glare at Hyunjin who scampered off, giggling in delight. Minho shook his head, distracting himself from the ler mood that had creeped up on him mid-shoot, fiddling with some heart shaped handcuffs he’d found. He’d caught the glint in Hyunjin’s eyes, just before the ferret had turned away. A glint that told tales about how the younger seemed to actually be feeling. Lino bit back an annoyed smile. Oh, he was just so obvious, wasn’t he? How adorable.

Unfortunately for Hyunjin, the rest of the shoot went smoothly. Minho and Changbin caught Felix just as they finished work for the day and tickled him lightly, holding him in their lap and tickling his worries away, the others cooing adoringly at the sight before them. From the corner of his eyes, Minho saw Hyunjin staring longingly at the scene unfolding, feet tapping impatiently on the floor. His cheeks were splotched pink, the color slowly spreading to his neck and ears. Cooing internally and smiling smugly to himself on the outside, the two finished off, cuddling Lix for a little before getting ready to go home. The boys had planned a movie night at the Lino and maknae line dorm and soon everyone was showered and ready. Minho, Chan and Felix had volunteered to prepare some homemade snacks and had told the others to stay away from their kitchen until they finished up.

So having being banished from their only source of food, the five kids lounged around in the living room for a bit before cuddling up together on the sofa in front of their projector screen. The fairy lights Jeongin and Felix had set up earlier emanated a soft glow that perfectly set the mood for the evening. And vocalracha, as bratty as ever, had sat themselves down on either side of Hyunjin, leaning in to whisper teases in the poor boys’ ears until he finally snapped, “Okay, so since you guys just love to tease me, why don’t you actually do something about it?!”

“Oh no, Lino hyung has already staked his claim on you,” Seungmin giggled, shivering a little when he remembered what had happened today. “Yeah, we’re just having our fun in the meantime,” Jeongin piped in, loving how flustered Hyunjin looked. “I hate you both so much,” Hyunjin sighed, plopping himself down between the arm of the sofa and Changbin who stroked Jinnie’s hair as he scrolled on TikTok. It wasn’t long before movie night officially began and finally, peace and quiet reigned the room. About an hour in, Hyunjin excused himself, retiring to his room. As soon as the door shut behind him, he allowed the tears of frustration to fall down his cheeks, squishing his face into his pillow and thinking about Seungmin’s words. ‘Did Minho know about his mood?’ Hyunjin hadn’t exactly tried to hide his feelings but he had thought he was being subtle about it. Maybe he wasn’t as slick as he’d thought. ‘But why wasn’t Minho doing anything about it then? He’d not held back from tickling either Seungmin or Felix today, so why had he been ignored?’ A sudden thought occurred then, did Minho not like tickling him? He had teased him a lot throughout the day and poked him and all, but did he not want to actually go any further like he did with the others? Hyunjin bit his lips at the thought, more tears spilling down his cheeks as he buried his face into his pillow, sobbing all his pent-up emotions and worries away.

He was so lost in his little world that he didn’t hear the quiet knocks, or the door opening, or even the creaking of the floorboards as someone walked over to him. It was only when a gentle hand rubbed his back and a worried voice called out to him that he snapped out of it. Hyunjin looked up to see Minho anxiously watching him, reaching down to thumb away the tears from his eyes. “Aw baby, what’s wro-.” “Hyung do you not like tickling me? Is it my laugh? Or that I struggled too much? Or-or…” He dissolved into more tears as more and more reasons than he could handle popped up in his head. “What? Jinnie baby no. I love you laugh and your reactions. Wait- is this because I tickled our ferret and kitten today and not you?” Minho tilted Hyunjin’s face so that he was looking directly at him. “Tell me, love. Why did you think that?” Hyunjin bit his lips and averted his eyes. Minho climbed onto the bed and pulled the younger boy into a tight embrace, feeling him melt against his hold. They sat like that for a long while, the older rubbing small circles on Hyunjin’s back in an attempt to soothe him, rocking them side to side, whispering sweet nothings in Jinnie’s ears.

The two stayed like that for a long while before Minho sighed. “Fine. I was gonna wait until after the others left but I guess I’ll just have to show you right now.” He smirked at the confused look on the ferret’s face, instructing him to lay down on his back before running out of the room. Lino was back in less than a minute, one hand hidden behind his back. He took a seat on the bed near Jinnie’s head and proudly presented….heart shaped handcuffs? “H-hyung why do you have that? Isn’t that for the stage performance?” “I borrowed it for tonight,” Lino answered with a wink, Jinnie blushing at the insinuation. No way. Seungmin was right!

“Are you okay with this, Jinnie? We could skip it for now or have another member pin you down while I wreck you?” The earnest look Minho wore only further flustered Hyunjin. ”Ughh hyung~ you can’t just say things like that,” Jinnie pouted, a soft “I trust you hyung,” answering Minho’s question. “Aww did you actually want this? Did you want me to tie you up and tickle you? Coochie coochie coo~~.”

Hyunjin glared, embarrassed beyond measure. But killing Minho would have to wait for later, he decided. They hadn’t even started yet but Lino’s stupid teasing  has butterflies doing freaking somersaults in his tummy. Too far gone, Jinnie raised his arms up himself, stretching until the tips of his fingers brushed the headboard and looked pointedly up at Minho, who seemed utterly delighted by this unexpected move. Saying nothing else, he locked the cuffs around Jinnie’s wrists, making sure not to tighten it too much and finally, finally settled down on Hyunjin’s thighs. The taller boy laughed nervously as Lino took a moment to weigh his options. “You’re so ticklish everywhere, hmm, where should I start? Here?” He reached down to pinch sporadically at Jinnie’s sides, making the younger laugh loudly and squirm around, reveling in, at last, getting the tickles he’s longed for all day. “Hehehehehehe,” Jinnie’s sweet giggles were music to Lino’s ears. The sweet softness didn’t last very long, however, squirming turning to thrashing when Minho moved higher to his upper ribs.

Now, while Hyunjin was sensitive pretty much all over, his ribs and underarms were arguably his worst spots, so getting tickled there after a whole day of enviously watching his fellow bandmates get what he’d been itching for, made him feel like he was on cloud 9. “noOHOHOHO, PLEASE, IHIHIT’S SOHOHOHO BAHAHAD,” laughs melting into incoherency as Lino dug in on one side while scribbling the other and alternating it every so often to keep the younger on edge. Hyunjin tugged at his arms reflexively, trying to pull away from the deliciously torturous sensations. The dramatic screeches and howls of laughter made even Lino burst into amused cackles, “Does this tickle Jinnie~~? How about here? Given that we're halfway through the series, how well do you think msi is doing ?

because i'm an overthinker and msi is on my mind 24/7 so i have interpreted this question into three different ways and i'll be answer all three below.

1. how well do you think msi is doing (in terms of portraying the characters and the plot of the original novel, speaking on a personal capacity)?

this series leaves me on the edge of my seat every damn week. everything is WORKING FOR ME. i love the character designs, the adaptational changes, the pacing... my only grievance? occasionally i absolutely detest their hairstyles (whoever hairstyled sol and joe for sol's mv should get fired, real). i also dislike the fact that they usually layer ming's outfits, when i think they should just let him wear one layer of shirt for example in this behind the scene still for that confrontation scene he's just wearing a black shirt but it looks soooo goood, this picture most likely taken when they're rehearsing.

but let's go through bit by bit

character designs: i think like other novel readers, i was a bit wary of the toning down/softening of novel!yanmingxiu, but i think it worked in favor of the series as a visual medium, coupled with them also making joe seemingly more naive than novel!zhouxiang. it balances well to have a not as cruel ming with a puppy-like/happy go luck joe 1.0. i really like in a recent reaction video where up, poom and porsche were reacting to ep.7, poom says he's happy to see so many people curse ming because it meant that he's doing well playing a scum male lead and praised up for playing such a compelling "bad" character because he thinks if it weren't for a such scum ml, his character 'joe' wouldn't come off as pitiful.

adaptational changes: i understand that translating a novel to series is a huge challenge, especially since thai series does not have a tendency to insert inner thoughts as much as japanese series does or the way audiodrama can do so but my stand in is doing so well utilising the flashbacks or blocking/cinematography to showcase the emotions of these characters so i've been loving most changes so far. they're also making changes that i love to see (novel!yan ming xiu throwing a tv remote at zhou xiang when he said something that upset him, reading that i was like bruh was that necessary?!?!!?!?).

pacing: it's really good, with my only grievance being they should make the eps longer in length. contrary to the complaints i'm seeing about how they're making audience wait to long until the huge reveal, i think it's fair and i'd actually like to see ming grovel a bit more before finding out that joe 2.0 is joe 1.0 because or else it wouldn't make sense to me why he would be so invested in getting invovlved with joe 2.0 if he wasn. most eps so far have been condensed from 10 chapters, with the biggest exception being ep 7 being adapted from 16 chapters (chapter 60-75) but i like that they simplified that plot with tharn/novel!tanyin without completely eliminating it. perhaps the only thing i regret being left out is ming crying out to joe's name after having sex with joe 2.0 but since the series went with ming not having sex with joe 2.0 in ep 7 yet so we didn't get it. anyway, ready for more ming/blind master shenanigans this week.

2. how well do you think msi is doing (with chinese fans/novel fans)?

so just recently, the weibo supertopic of my stand in hit 23,000 followers and the douban score for my stand in hit 8.8 (it debuted with a 6.8 score in the first ep btw). while douban scores for bl/foreign dramas tend to bit higher than the average scores for cdramas, this is still a huge feat considering how it's being adapted from a popular danmei novel and how bad the initial reception to the casting announcement was. it is HUGE!

after last week's episode the scores really skyrocketed due to the two scenes, the hotel verbal fight scene and the back reveal. it's also a relief to see how both scenes are well received because they're very different from how they were executed in the novel, so i think this is a good sign of how novel fans have warmed up to the adaptation changes (if anyone is interested, feel free to read chap 73 for that confrontation and chap 74+75 for the back reveal).

also cfans seem to really be into up poompat's portrayal of yan ming xiu these days, most are ready to forgive him while simultaneously still want to watch him suffer for the rest of the series. everyone and their mother loves poom as joe/zhou xiang but they have been loving and praising poom since ep 1 so that's not really new.

3. how well do you think msi is doing (in terms of trending, general viewership and popularity)

i think my stand in is doing crazy well considering its genre (dogblood drama featuring a scum male lead). regarding trending, the number of tweets is increasing weekly and it's stable at 4th/5th place like every week and considering is up against TWO QL series of two popular established branded pairings (EngLot with Love Bully, GemFourth with My Love Mix Up TH) and the hottest lakorn series of the year (Dhevaprom), I think it's already achieving the best possible results in terms of trending (cfans are also wishing that my stand in would be more popular considering how dramatically dogblood and lakorn-coded MSI is ಥ_ಥ)

But I think it's more important for iQIYI that it's ranking #1 worldwide iQIYI consecutively for the last seven weeks since its their "first" Thai original (i actually thought My Dear Gangster Oppa is their first, turns out not 😅). Being up against all those beautiful costume/historical cdramas and still ranking #1??????

also i can't speak on behalf of other fans but the sole fact that the main topic on my twitter timeline every weekend is how pitiful joe is/how terrible ming is/how up and poom are DELIVERING the breakthrough performances of their careers? i think regardless of the end result of this series, it's definitely a remarkable BL series of 2024 and i'd honestly call it the dark horse among the 2024 BL releases considering how lowkey and underwhelmed the initial hype it had.

Do you think Jungkook of the past was someone who wanted to become Jimin’s equal in every way and then some? Perhaps a man that he imagines Jimin might lust after? A bit dangerous, with thick muscles, yet killer on the dance floor? A man every bit as dedicated to his craft as Jimin is? To find that hunger for the stage, for improvement, not wanting to settle for status quo and this album is his portfolio of dance styles, working towards the dream of becoming partners, co-choreographers with Jimin and J-hope, possibly Taehung at some point in Chapter 3? For years I have watched them behind the scenes communicating on how best to approach the MV camera angle, improvising, capturing the important details of the choreography and rehearsing while adjusting to abilities and stride and I think how valuable their combined experiences are to the industry, not solely K- pop, THE worldwide industry. Will they still tour and make music as BTS and individually? I believe they will. But is that fulfilling enough for these talented artists, composers, producers, choreographers who have been running in bare feet since the beginning? I wonder.,,

i feel the need to start my answer at the end of your question, which i really love, by the way. it's actually my first official one on this site, thank you for sending it. 💜 however, i apologize now for the can of worms you cracked open, you basically just gave mcdonalds sprite to a loquacious victorian child lol.

but back to the end - fulfillment is an interesting concept, isnt it? this idea that everything you've ever worked towards will hopefully lead to some sort of innate feeling of satisfaction eventually, a dream realized, a list of ambitions played out. is it even possible, really, truly? especially when it comes to being a creative or artist of any sort, bonus points if it's how you make your living. being a professional creative is a bit oxymoronic imo and i say that as someone who does art as their day job. getting paid to bleed your ideas really adds an extra layer of complexity around the whole process.

because i would already equate finding personal fulfillment through art like trying to cling to sand. you can grab huge handfuls of it, maybe pack it with water, even shape it to your desire; you can for sure slow the whole process down long enough to enjoy it but at some point it will slip from your grasp and you will have to reach for more. you become the sisyphus of sand castles, forever betrayed by a strong breeze or a crashing wave or the simple design flaw of your own hands not meant to cradle something so small for too long.

fulfillment through art is fleeting because a true desire to create doesn't have a finish line. (burnout and death aside) i think most artists even when they create their magnum opus (if they're lucky), step back, bask in it for a bit and then immediately feel the ever present creep of what will i do next? can i top this? and when you do it as a career, your boss and/or audience (who is a boss of sorts in itself) walks up next to you and goes yeah! what's next? how are you going to top that? so the snake eats it's own tail ad infinitum.

but i do believe bts to be genuine artists in this sense, ready to chase that fever dream their whole lives because that's the real fulfillment, if any, of it all. just to continue to do it, in any shape, fashion, or form for as long as you can stand it. and i think all people are capable of art (i hope it's clear when i say art i'm encompassing the entire medium, music obviously included) and creativity and i would encourage any and everyone to pursue it, it's definitely worth it, but the desire around it doesn't affect everyone the same. you don't run bare foot through a dark tunnel you can't see the light at the end of unless you feel you have no choice. unless you are compelled.

i think the great news here is that the light is visible now. all of their blood, sweat, and tears (manhi, manhi, manhi) is paying dividends these days plus interest but even beyond the recognition and money, they have the buoyancy of creative freedom. overall, it's something i still think they're trying on and exploring, getting used to the feel of, but i also think all of the solo projects so far have been an incredible show of confidence towards taking risks and i love that for them so much. i love that they feel safe enough at this stage to pursue whatever they want, criticism from the peanut gallery be damned. i'm so excited to see what they will do in chapter 3 after having all of this under their belts. i agree that their combined experience is utterly invaluable.

but about jikook - can you imagine having the park jimin in your life? tbh i could give a rant similar to this about all of the members, but even then, i agree with my bias in that there's just something about jimin in particular that pulls your heartstrings. he's just good in a way that is hard to come by, in a way that seems to transcend his being a celebrity even, something that brings out the worst in so many far too often. and i think wanting to be worthy of him, to try and be his equal would be near subconscious for how naturally i imagine the people in his orbit would be persuaded. and because god knows you aren't sticking around if he finds you wanting. 👀

now imagine all that pjm goodness focused on you, singled out, romantic in flavor and during the height of puberty, no less? i think we and jk are lucky that jk is jk and has never met a challenge he couldn't face head on lol

however, i will raise you one better and say that while i'm sure jimin's type has definitely influenced the jk we see today, i think jimin's type would have been whatever jk grew into. because that's one of the things i've loved most about watching them evolve over the years, how they've done it together. if jimin's overwhelming goodness and exacting nature helped pull the very best out of jungkook, i think vice versa, jk's unconditional support and willingness to both call him on his bullshit (i'm thinking of the dieting incident in particular rn) but still love him through all of his stages has allowed jimin to flourish.

i've said it before, but the natural dichotomy of their personalities and ability to fill in where the other potentially lacks is so special. our sun and moon couple for real. but even in a non-romantic light, to find someone who fits you in such a way is genuinely rare. Delicate

"Delicate is really a song about the switching back and forth between feeling confident enough to have somebody like you back and then feeling insecure, deeply deeply insecure, that no one would ever like you back and you go back and forth between that emotion the entire song." - Taylor in the BTS

To me, she is saying Delicate is the insecure side to Slut!'s confidence. The video has several references to Harry Styles.

"The entire video has this overarching narrative of this girl is past a magical note from the person she would love to meet up with later that turns her invisible and she's able to sneak out of this event and go meet up with him all the while being completely invisible."

People, she can't make it clearer who this is about. The man who hands the note is dressed like Harry at the 2013 VMAs when she also wore a navy dress when they were seen texting each other (notes). In the BTS we can see more of him - a dark haired male celebrity (also talking to press) in a patterned suit. I know someone that fits that bill. This post is about Ed’s inspiration for Tenerife sea that same night.

In the BTS (1:10) in the scene where she reads the note she says:

So I am reading the note and I am kind of happy, but then sad because I realise I can't be him.. and you know.

The statues behind Taylor reference Harry's Gucci and Grateful Dead Rings.

And Harry referenced the song title in Little Freak lyrics and video for the As it Was and Daylight videos.

The film clip includes 'Joe's diner' in the street, like Ready for it...? in the Ready for it BTS she isn't sweet when highlights that it's pointed and sassy.

When was it made

Taylor wore the outfit in the Making of the Song on 17 January 2016 in La.

A theme of the album is taking back power from drama. The muse is someone TS sees as there for her. Anti-hero is an interesting continuation of this feeling. It is sad to think that now she has an even higher level of fame this feeling may be harder to grasp.

The line about promises is interesting, by September 2016 Taylor was a single 28 year old who could (and did) make promises to YB. It could refer to prioritising her career over personal life. The promises may be able to make because it refers to the Gorgeous, I did Something Bad & High Infidelity timeline, around April 29, 2016, when HS was launching a solo career and TS was with CH.

[Verse 1] Dive bar on the East Side, where you at? Phone lights up my nightstand in the black Come here, you can meet me in the back Dark jeans and your Nikes, look at you Oh, damn, never seen that color blue Just think of the fun things we could do

In Wish you Would and other 1989 songs Taylor talks about late night texts and meet ups. HS was also in New York a lot and wore skinny dark jeans for what seemed like all of 2016.

To me, "oh damn, never seen that color blue" is referring to the depression she was experiencing. In the MV Taylor wears a deep blue dress, she was in a deep depression and connecting with this muse helped her through. Taylor again refers to blue as depression in many songs throughout her discography.

Sometimes when you sleep at night I wonder if .... Sometimes I look in your eyes and pretend your mine I do it all the time Is it cool that I said all that.... Sometimes I wonder when you sleep are you dreaming of being with me... do you ever dream of me

References to dreaming of each other is a theme in the 1989 songs. In 2016 HS and TS were not together, it seems from other songs of this period they met, which makes sense for the line of pretending they are together all the time, whereas YB was single and could and would be with TS.

[Chorus] Is it cool that I said all that? Is it chill that you're in my head? 'Cause I know that it's delicate (Delicate) Is it cool that I said all that? Is it too soon to do this yet? 'Cause I know that it's delicate

The Chorus perfectly captures having a tentative conversation about one’s desire. A lack of communication is a strong theme in TS/HS songs about each other. The chorus acknowledges that they have a history and being romantic is delicate they have hurt each other before. Other songs that refer to not communicating are Two Ghost’s, Maroon, the 1, satellite, and more.

Many songs from HS and TS describe that they cannot get the other out of their head/move on.

[Verse 2] Third floor on the West Side, me and you Handsome, you're a mansion with a view Do the girls back home touch you like I do? Long night with your hands up in my hair Echoes of your footsteps on the stairs Stay here, honey, I don't wanna share

HS bought an apartment on the 3rd floor on the west side while TS was making Reputation. Taylor’s is on the 5th floor. Joe did not live in New York.

Wildest Dreams has a similar lyric: His hands are in my hair, his clothes are in my room.

[Bridge] Sometimes, I wonder, when you sleep Are you ever dreaming of me? Sometimes, when I look into your eyes I pretend you're mine all the damn time

A lot of TS's songs about HS refer to dreams:

Twice's 10th member visits Nayeon on her solo's set

A/N: Hey guys, I'm sorry for disappearing but I got my wisdom teeth out so yeah- lol. Anyway- I got an ask on Tumblr and I loved writing it, ty anon! :D

The request: Can I request something, you know nayeon solo pop behind the scene, nayeon was so sad because 10th doesn't come because she's in hiatus, she sad but suddenly staff ask her to go out and said something 'fresh air'. She's grumpy because her favorite member is not coming and what she saw is the dancer who help her in mv but it turned out is 10th member. She suddenly feels embarrassed (nayeon) because she didn't notice her until now

Nayeon stared at her reflection in the dressing room mirror, her usually bright eyes dull with disappointment. She took a deep breath and tried to shake off the heavy feeling that had settled over her heart. Today was supposed to be a special day, the behind-the-scenes shoot for her first solo music video. But it felt incomplete without Y/N, the 10th member of TWICE, by her side.

Y/N had been on hiatus for the past few weeks due to health concerns, and Nayeon missed her presence more than she had expected. The maknae's energy, laughter, and the way she could effortlessly brighten up any room were missed a lot, especially today T-T.

As the camera crew bustled around her, adjusting lights and arranging props, Nayeon's mind kept drifting back to her kid. She wondered how her fellow member was doing and if she was feeling any better. Nayeon had always been protective of Y/N, despite the girl's unwavering independence. She felt a pang of guilt for not being able to be there for her angel during her hiatus.

At that moment, one of the staff members entered the room and snapped her out of her daydreaming.

Staff 1 - Nayeon, we're ready for your solo shots now! 

Nayeon plastered a smile on her face and walked onto the set, giving her best performance despite the absence that weighed on her heart. Hours passed, and the shoot continued. Nayeon pushed herself to focus on her performance, giving her all to every take. But every now and then, her mind would wander back to TWICE's sunshine, wondering if she was watching the live stream of the shoot or if she was resting and recovering. She deserved to rest but perhaps...

As the day wore on, Nayeon couldn't shake the melancholic feeling that had settled over her. She had been hoping to share this exciting moment with Y/N, to see her smiling face on set, cheering her on. But her babygirl's absence cast a shadow over the entire experience.

The word Cut! that the director called out signalled the end of another take. Nayeon let out a breath she hadn't realized she was holding and walked off-set, retreating to a corner of the studio. She pulled out her phone, scrolling through her messages in hopes of any news from Y/N.

 A voice called out to the eldest member and Nayeon looked up to see one of the backup dancers approaching her. 

Backup dancer - Hey, Nayeon, you did great out there!

Nayeon managed a small smile, grateful for the dancer's kind words but her soft voice betrayed her as she tried to hide her emotions. 

Nayeon - Thanks. It's just... I wish Y/N could be here.

The dancer nodded understandingly. 

Backup dancer - I heard she's getting better. Maybe she'll surprise you soon. (little does she know lol)

Nayeon sighed, her shoulders slumping. 

Nayeon - I hope so *frowns*

Just then, another staff member approached her. 

Staff 2 - Nayeon, how about you take a break? The fresh air might do you some good.

Nayeon grumbled inwardly but forced herself to nod. She walked out of the studio and into the corridor, leaning against the wall. The cool air did little to alleviate the heaviness that had settled in her chest. As she stood there, lost in her thoughts, the sound of laughter reached her ears. Nayeon frowned, recognizing the voice but not quite believing it. She turned towards the source of the sound and blinked in disbelief.

There, surrounded by a small group of staff and dancers, was Y/N, her girl. She was wearing a casual outfit, her smile radiant as she chatted animatedly with those around her. Nayeon's heart skipped a beat as she took in the sight of her younger sister, looking healthier and happier than she had expected.

Nayeon's initial shock quickly turned into a mixture of disbelief and embarrassment. How had she missed Y/N's arrival? She watched the girl's every move, feeling a warmth spread through her chest as she realized that Y/N had come to surprise her.

As if sensing Nayeon's gaze, the maknae looked up and their eyes met. For a moment, time seemed to stand still as they locked eyes. Then, Y/N's smile widened, and she excused herself from the group, walking towards Nayeon as she started talking, her voice soft yet full of warmth.

Y/N - Hey, Nayeon unnie. 

Nayeon felt her cheeks heat up, a mixture of embarrassment and joy flooding her system. 

Nayeon - Baby, you're here.

Y/N chuckled, her eyes sparkling. 

Y/N - Yeah, why wouldn't I be? Are you surprised? Lol

Nayeon nodded, a wide smile spreading across her face. 

Nayeon - More than surprised. I can't believe I didn't notice you until now! *pouts*

Y/N shrugged playfully. 

Y/N - Well, I guess I can be pretty sneaky when I want to be. And... You're old lmao

Nayeon laughed, the heaviness in her heart lifting with every second she spent in Y/N's presence even if she was being teased by her kid. 

Nayeon - You have no idea how much I've missed you, love.

TWICE's honey's gaze softened, and she stepped closer, wrapping her arms around her older sister in a gentle hug. 

Y/N - I've missed you too, unnie. But I'm here now, and I'm so proud of you!

Tears welled up in Nayeon's eyes as she hugged her youngest back, holding onto her tightly. The months of worrying and missing Y/N melted away in that embrace, replaced by a profound sense of gratitude and happiness. As they pulled back from the hug, Nayeon wiped away her tears and looked at Y/N with a teasing smile. 

Nayeon - YAH! You know, you should've warned me. I've been moping around all day.

Y/N chuckled, her eyes sparkling mischievously. 

Y/N - Where's the fun in that? Besides, seeing your reaction was totally worth it.

Nayeon shook her head in mock exasperation, her heart feeling lighter than it had in a long time. As they stood there, exchanging laughter and stories, Nayeon realized that even in her absence, Y/N had a way of brightening her world. And as they headed back to the studio, arm in arm, Nayeon knew that her solo shoot was no longer incomplete because Y/N was right there by her side and that made her have only one thought:

I love our dear maknae.

The Astronaut.

I am just going to unfurl these thoughts as I listen to the song and lyrics and watch the video. So much symbolism in the video.

The spaceship crashed and Jin sitting there, watching it burn.

Is the spaceship the juggernaut that is BTS? BTS did crash into the world on debut and the world did not know what had been unleashed upon it at that time. Or is it life in general or time itself? Maybe it represents Jin, Jin’s life. 

Maybe it is life’s (many burdensome) obligations.

Time has gone by and Jin does puzzles (games) while waiting. Solving his puzzle involves adding words to represent the elements of his time with BTS and Army. “The planet is coming back soon.” The planet is BTS? The planet is home?

His room is full of little easter eggs. The guitar that Chris Martin gave to him. The Music of the Spheres album... posters of Coldplay, amongst other things. And Chris’ cameo appearance as the news anchor on tv...

Then he sees the signal (light beaming to the sky)...it’s time to go. He’s been waiting and is ready to answer the call.

His suit is slightly too small... he’s grown a little during the time he’s been waiting. Or he’s lost his original suit and had to borrow a new one? The cut of the black suit seems somewhat old-fashioned, and the color black is very conservative and also a color for mourning. Perhaps it represents something that is outdated... This is an intriguing detail. 

The little girl looks like international Army. And of course, because she represents us, she is adorable... I was going to guess her age but later in the video, I can tell her front teeth are growing in so she’s about 8.

He puts the helmet on her to keep her safe. Then he looks back at his home... jesus, I’m crying as I write this. 

And off he goes, running forward to his future, whatever is awaiting. Just like they’ve been doing all these years. 

That’s a nice neighborhood, I wonder if its a movie set or a real neighborhood somewhere. I am expecting a behind the scenes video of this MV at some point. I think the small town street scenes are for sure a movie set. There are a lot of those in California.

He is speeding to his future by himself. Sure of himself. Not afraid in the least bit.

And then he’s pushing the little girl off to ride by herself. She’s a little scared and doesn’t want him to let go.

As much as we don’t want to, we can do this, guys, we can do this by ourselves (omg the tears!)! WE HAVE TO DO THIS!

We will have to hold our photos (memories) close to us for a short time.

We are Jin’s universe.

When he gets back to the ship, it has settled into the environment and the trees have grown up around it...it’s been a long wait. 

And then it lifts off. The inevitable... life... time... obligations... whatever it represents, moving on as it does regardless. 

And the dude in the FORD truck that stops to pick him up. And Jin rides off into the sunset. For now.

The sign at the end... Tejon Ranch? If that’s what it says, that is north of Los Angeles. The scenery matches that location.

Last scene of the MV when he completes the word on the puzzle... F A M I L Y. 

We hear the bicycle bell and he rises to go see us. The anticipation on his face... (my god, how am I typing coherently at this point...)

I have a dumb question, at the start of the video, what does SBSM mean (appears at the bottom left of all the MVs)?

And this number in the yellow circle on the top right?

I can’t believe this song is almost 5 minutes long. I want it to be even longer. What a great song! I think it has great general pop appeal in that potentially non-Army/non-fans will like it a lot. The music video is so sweet and poignant for us who are very invested, and yet, repeating what I said, it has great general appeal as well. The location choice, the girl and the extras in the video are very diverse even though the neighborhood and town have a very “small town” rural feel to them. It is very much a video that western markets, especially the U.S. market can relate to visually. 

As I write this more than 12 hours after it’s release, The Astronaut is still at the top spot on iTunes. Sorry, Rihanna, apparently Armys’ feelings are stronger than everyone expected. I am certain this is taking a lot of industry people by surprise as well. I mean, it’s Rihanna, who hasn’t released music in a long time. You’d think her song would be hugely anticipated. But we are always underestimated across the board.

Beware anyone else attempting to release music when the next solo albums drop. If Jin can do this with ONE SONG, the rest of you are on notice.

The Future of Jikook

After watching the video and GMA soundcheck performance on Friday and then seeing all the contradictory reactions on line to the song and its reception, I have been quietly mulling things over here in my little corner of the internet.

There are so many fan feelings conflating here. Those who want JK to turn into the BTS Harry Styles, those who are still smarting over the way changes to BB affected the trajectory of FACE, those who feel that the breakout of one member is a threat to ever seeing BTS as a band again. It makes for a tense, emotional and chaotic time on-line especially on Twitter where people tend to have a knee jerk reaction to anything that is said and nuance is completely lost.

Look into yourself and I am sure you will find a whole load of contradictory emotions lapping at your consciousness right now. What I have found myself thinking however, is how does all this noise affect the members and in particular Jimin and Jungkook?

Making Choices

One question that came to mind was why did Jungkook pick this song for his solo debut. What is it that he likes about it and how does that differ from the way SB sees or is marketing the song. During Festa 2023 I commented on the transformation that JK has been through since last year. He has made a conscious effort to shake off the maknae part of the golden maknae starting with his deal with Calvin Klein and all the swooning I am seeing on Tumblr shows that he has succeeded. As Yoongi said, JK is all grown up.

Then I was thinking about JK's musical choices, who and what he listens to and I remembered earlier this year he sang the Sam Smith and Kim Petras hit Unholy on one of his lives. If you also recall he later scolded Jimin for being prudish about the song on his own live.

JK was obviously ready to move into more explicit territory even then. So what about Seven made him think this is the song that launches me as the new and more mature JK.

I think for one thing, the lyrics are sensual and not gender specific. I am in the "loving you right" lyric camp because it gives a more mutual gratification feel to the song in keeping with the other lyrics as opposed to the macho stud, I'm a sex machine, version.

Jungkook wants to ease his lover's mind, he want to trace their lines, he loves how they wrap around him when they make love, he is devoted, his love runs deep and when they are together he wants to make sure his lover is satisfied and feeling that afterglow.

So yes JK is going to be talking about sex from now on along with almost everyone else in the Western music industry. Along with Jimin for example. As a side note, I still don't quite understand my overwhelmingly visceral reaction to the Like Crazy MV. It's f**king art and so is he.

Now SB and his cronies know the audience they are playing to and we will get symbolically het videos both for this and what is rumoured to be his completely English speaking solo album but even this video, which to be honest I have dumped in favour of the live performance and the choreo video, went for humour rather than full out fangirl wish fulfillment. I mean that may also come but I get the feeling that somewhere down the line they are going to need to pivot hard.

What do jikook want?

Secondly, I was thinking what do jikook want both severally and individually. All the members have an enviable work ethic and a deep love of music but the emphasis that these two and JHope put on performance is legendary. Look at Jimin here monitoring between shoots for his music shows in the behind the scenes video this week. He is serious about giving his best even when he himself is not in the best physical condition.

They are both ambitious and are looking for longevity in the industry and importantly, and prefacing this with an, in my opinion, this is something they want to do together. Neither wants the other to get left behind and I think that is what they are fighting for right now.

Whatever you think about their bond, it cannot be dismissed and the sequence of events of the last few weeks for me just reinforces that. Everyone noticed the way their relationship was highlighted in the Beyond the Story book (just started my copy yesterday but I couldn't resist the spoilers last week) to the extent that Variety went on a fishing expedition which JK expertly deflected.

Jimin is in New York right now and Jikook were seen dining together the night he arrived. We don't know what Jimin's schedule is but we can assume that he will take advantage of the visit to also support Jungkook as he has done with the other members when his schedule allowed. Jungkook is important to Jimin and vice versa.

Has everyone already forgotten the amount of promo that JK has done for Jimin over the last few months. Here he is listening to JKIVE's Golden Hour who we later found out was collaborating with Jimin on Angel Parts I and II.

So this is the perspective that I am going to adopt from here on in when I react to content. I am going to ask myself does my reaction help or hinder jikook in being able to continue working together towards their aim of further success in the music industry. I will veto anything designed to drive a wedge between them, be that from the company or the fans and I will continue to work hard for them in the way that a fan can buying, streaming and supporting their music and their content. There is even word on the grapevine that there maybe some jikook collaboration and/or content on the way. I'll be watching out for that.

Wow quick update something is definitely coming.

Prisoner 004: Toma Suzume - Trial 2

General info

Verdict: INNOCENT

Physical changes: Her hair has gotten longer, reaching down to her waist by now. She's unzipped her straightjacket, revealing a dark red tank top underneath. She also wears denim shorts and black shoes with dark pink designs. Her boost in confidence shows in her outfit.

Behavioral changes: She's become less anxious and more confident in her actions. Now that Mayumi isn't allowed to cook, she's helping Noa to prepare meals for everyone. She isn't particularly fond of anyone in Milgram, but she's come to think of them as one big dysfunctional family. They're growing on her.

She's more talkative now and approaches people more easily. The guilty prisoners have become more irritable, so she spends a lot of time trying to appease them. She has experience. Its better for everyone to get along, so she believes.

Song preview: Its hard to live in society. Everyone wants someone like them to talk to. I have to change my colours to fit in with them, I have to change my colours to be accepted by them.

But then you came along, and loved all my colours (even if they weren't mine). Hey, why don't you stay with me? We can do anything you want. I'll change into any colour you want.

MV description: Her MV is bursting with all sorts of colours this time. The music is more upbeat, with the occasional creepy stutter at dramatic moments. Only Suzume's face is shown (sometimes) in the MV, despite many other characters being present.

The MV starts with Suzume sitting in a blank grey space. Her whole silhouette is white, with a keyhole carved into the left side of her chest, where her heart should be. A screen in front of her shows a scene of a lecturing hall. Students on their laptops and a professor standing by the front. Suzume stares on apathetically.

A montage of Suzume's daily routine ensues. She gets up, goes to class and takes some notes. She talks to a group of blue silhouettes, her outline painted pale purple. She eats lunch and an orange silhouette sits down next to her. Her outline quickly changes from white to yellow and she smiles at them. She gets back to her room, does some work and gets ready for bed.

The camera cuts to Suzume's POV. She's sitting by a table with pens and papers strewn about. A man sits opposite her, pointing at a diagram in front of her. He seems to be tutoring her.

Then Suzume's white silhouette and grey space is back. A shiny pink key materializes in its hand, similar to the morganite from the first MV. He walks forward and inserts the key into the keyhole in Suzume's chest. Pink blooms across her chest, slowly taking over the white of her entire silhouette.

Suzume is now cuddling with the black silhouette. The colour slowly permeates her pink outline, making black splotches along her body. Black mixes with pink, darkening the colour of her silhouette.

The camera cuts to the POV of someone walking along an empty street at night. They look down at their phone, showing a message from someone asking to meet up.

The camera cuts again to Suzume's dark pink silhouette in the blank grey space, her body covered in splatters of what looks like gold paint. The black silhouette stands before her. She turns the key still lodged in her chest, opening up a compartment to reveal a beating red heart inside. She takes it out and offers it to the black silhouette. A closeup of the silhouette reaching for the heart. End.

Author's notes

Suzume's MVs are really weird compared to everyone else, aren't they? One of the perks(?) of being the oc that I didn't know what to do with I guess. Her wacky MVs are really fun to write.

Her second signature colour was originally dark red, because I couldn't think of another colour that would suit her. But then I realized that a shade of green would fit her well.

These picrews portray her really well! I screamed when I saw the choker option offered by the first picrew, its very similar to what the canon Milgram prisoners wear. :DD
