London trip summary!
@the-scienceofdeduction <- Sherlock side blog where I’ll post the Sherlock parts of my trip
Here’s a round up of my London trip, because I want to share all the fun stuff I did.
So I was in London for total of 7 days with 5 being full day - full night.
The trip was from 4th February to 10th February ^^
I departed from Warsaw on 15:30 and arrived safely in London around 18:30. Then I charged my Oyster card ( public transport card ) and via metro got to the place we rented for the stay ( I was with family ). And well that’s all I did the first day lol, it was a tiring travel.

The window view I had
Then on the official first full day I went to see the Cursed Child! And alright, I admit, it’s absolutely brilliant. Like- My jaw was on the floor the whole time with how amazing this play is. I’m still a bit critical of the plot, but listen- with how everything there is acted out from start to finish the inconsistencies don’t matter. Like it’s just too good. There are so many magical elements, the special effects, just… wow
My favourite parts are:
The ones when the characters go back to the past, the way THE WHOLE STAGE SHAKED I couldn’t believe my eyes-🤩
When the characters were going to the ministry through the telephone booth, just disappearing, sucked into it 😳
When the Dementors flew in, I totally didn’t expect it and they were just flying around, super creepy and impressive
The centaur, again very unexpected appearance but super cool and he looked so good like- the tail swishing, the hooves stomping 👀
When the prophecy was revealed, and at first it was only on the stage but later the WHOLE THEATRE LIGHT UP WITH IT, like the walls and ceiling all around me were just glowing with the words of the prophecy
When Voldemort walked off the stage and WALKED RIGHT BY ME 🫣 I was sited at the bottom, right by the middle way and he just walked by me- I could have touched him- I was in awe for the next few hours XD
The soundtrack; It's SO BEAUTIFUL OMG
Tumblr media
Here’s the view from my seat!
And now that you got my favorites here are things I didn’t like or was confused by:
The sorting hat being a human… with a fedora on?? That he would take off and hover above the students head saying some (?) idk incomprehensible spells lmao XD like since when is the sorting done by a fedora, and why was it hovering above them?
Albus Severus Potter or more his personality, I loved that he grown through the whole play, he understood most of his wrongs and realised what he was doing, but it was only thanks to Scorpius and due to how for the most he acted I just couldn’t get to like him. I still find him an intriguing character though.
Hermione looking so different. All the other actors were so well matched, they looked really alike, especially Harry. Harry, Ginny, Ron, Draco, Snape, Umbridge, child Harry: they all were perfect, I immediately knew who was who and I was super impressed, but when it came to Hermione the difference was SO BIG that I just couldn’t get used to it. I kept forgetting that the actress was supposed to be her, and only remembered when another actor referred to her by the name.

Fotos for when I was going inside for the first part of the play and then the second
All in all, I absolutely loved it, the play was mesmerising, magical and marvellous.
I would definitely want to see it again, very much hoping for a play recording being released when it ends.
Day 2: Sherlock day - will write about it on my side blog
Day 3: HARRY POTTER WARNER BROS. STUDIO TOUR!!
A trip of which I dreamt for a while! Woke up, got ready, dressed in my Potter outfit ⚡️and went to the tour bus point. The double decker bus was fun, the outside was decorated and the inside was pleasant, I got to sit in the second floor. There were also small TV’s with Harry Potter movies.
Then security, and I got to explore the starting hall. It was very pretty and had a dining area, and then the real tour started. EVERYTHING WAS SO AMAZING, I was hyped the whole time. What’s even more fun you get an Activity Passport! You have to find Snitches and Cornish Pixies hidden all over the place, and also get Wizarding stamps for each page! I can proudly say I found EVERYTHING, and got all the stamps ( though I did have to ask for additional hints for a few snitches )
It was amazing getting to see all those sets and costumes in real life, especially since I own a few of the seen on screen pieces. There were a lot of interactive elements and a few shows too!
It was also very fun since I got to experience the tour during the “Magical Mischief” theme! This theme and the “Dark Arts” are the ones I wanted to see the most!
Here’s a foto-dump from it!

Day 4: I was mostly walking around going to Sherlock filming locations, but I also went to see the Harry Potter statue!
Tumblr media
Day 5: Lots of walking this time mostly Potter filming locations! Here are some fotos!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Grimmauld Place, King’s Cross, entrance to the Leaky Cauldron
And at last I had to pack up and the next morning I was leaving. I’m super satisfied and happy, I did everything I wanted, made the most out of my time and got to see so much beautiful stuff and make memories!
I got lucky with the weather, but still it was cold everyday especially when I went to WB but I was inside for almost the entire time so again, lucky haha
Also I hate London public transport, it’s SO EXPENSIVE. Not only pricy but also not that good overall, the metro is old, dirty and it stinks in some places, the train itself is also old and when riding it I needed to have my noise suppressing headphones on all the time, because it’s so loud. It screeches almost constantly emitting this high, terrible noise. I have hearing sensitivity so using the metro was unpleasant. The busses are better but it’s harder to know when you’re supposed to get off because the stops are announced quietly, and the buss will stop very often.

"Sebby, nooo." Jim whines, moving around in the other man's lap, pretending to try to get away but really rubbing against Seb's leg as the man continues to land his hand on Jim's arse. "Stop 'Bastian, that hurts." He tries to demand, no that he had any room to say, as bratty as he's been recently and given his current position across Seb's lap.
She walks in, staring, wide eyed at the display in front of her. This is.....new. Usually its the other way around, yes he has been riding them both at work hard, sadly not in the fun way and being particularly moody but this was the last thing she is expecting. She walks out silently, she’s dreaming, she fell asleep at her desk, its a day dream, she’ll walk back in and this will all have been some fantasy she had no idea she had. She walks back in. Nope, still there. Walking over the chair by the bed, she settles in to watch the show.

1: Sebastian is superstitious. He's not the type to act on it, but he was mostly raised by the Irish servants at his father's estate. He spent most of his time with their kids, learning their stories. The Moran home is cared for by generations of Irish settlers who followed the family from Ireland hundreds of years ago and as such, the land is a little 'pocket' of English/Irish culture. Much of the house has Irish symbolism etched into it and most of the servants and people who live on the land follow strange habits. For example, it's habit to touch the door knocker and thank it for guarding the home when you go in. You always walk on the side of the stone paths in the gardens, even if you're walking with someone, so that the fae can walk in the middle. His superstitious side only comes out when he's at the estate.
2: Sebastian should have been medically discharged after the Tinchuley tiger incident. His father didn't want a cripple for an heir and paid to have him treated by the best plastic surgeons and physical therapists, however. When Seb found out, he stormed Major-General O'Donnell's office and blackmailed him with information about illegal 'parties' that he knew were taking place at O'Donnell's whims. Lets just say that people who went missing in the desert didn't often die, and had other 'uses' after. O'Donnell was forced to let him stay, however that ended his advancement and Sebastian was thrown into suicide mission after suicide mission in order to get rid of the loose end.

Oh good. Life has been so terribly boring while you were away. I began to worry it was permanent this time. -SH
Don’t fall for the same disappearing act twice, my dear, it's unattractive. -JM

“….are you asking me to crawl in there just because i’m short?” Orion asked Sherlock while staring at the place Sherlock was asking him to crawl into.

Sherlock was walking down the pavement, clearly not watching where he was going, trapped inside his own world, mind on the case he had been working recently and not on the present. He accidentally ran into her, pulling him out of his thought. "Oh, I didn't see you." He states, making sure she doesn't fall or anything, say what you will about him, he could be rude at times but he wasn't so bad without being given a reason.
Desdie had been going home, a different route today instead of her usual route, of course London would be rather busy around this hour, foot traffic almost as bad as the motor traffic. She felt herself get bumped into, followed by nearly falling into the street.

“It’s okay, I should have been a little more careful.” She says. When he helped her to keep her balance, an act that did sort of surprise her she quietly thanks him for the assistance.

The Cricket Ball Emerald
As much as Greg hated to admit it, he would need Sherlock’s help with this one. A feeling in his gut told him that the explanation they had put together was missing something. Regardless of what Anderson said about this being open and shut, he just knew it didn’t quite add up, and he was going to get a second opinion. A break in at a jewelry gallery: a fairly standard case for Scotland Yard. Alarms had triggered just after 4 in the morning, when the glass at the front of the building broke. London Met was on the scene within 5 minutes, and Scotland Yard was called about an hour later. Once the store’s clerk arrived, he stated that only one item was missing: a rather large and unique emerald about the size of a cricket ball, valued around a million pounds. However, they had left a diamond- valued at 15 million pounds and not even three feet away- untouched. Why? Lestrade had asked.  ‘He was in a rush, obviously, he didn’t do his research. Probably some amateur,’ Anderson had explained. But to leave no physical evidence?  The scene was free from footprints, fingerprints, even hair... eerily immaculate. This was far from an amateur. Hesitantly, Lestrade ducked into his car, pulling out his phone and ringing the consulting detective. A brief moment of silence on the other end prompted him to speak. “Err... There’s something I’d like you to take a look at,” Lestrade muttered. He gave the detective the address, and waited for him to arrive, earning an irritated glare from Anderson. @real-scienceofdeduction

Their Saving Grace
@real-scienceofdeduction
He could not stop grinning at his husband or the tiny pink bundle in his arms, dark eyes full of wonder and love for the both of them, though the smaller one he had only met days before. The pregnancy had gone smoothly, both of them helping their best friend and surrogate out as much as she would allow, stubborn thing that she was. Both of them hovering around her the last month of her pregnancy, both there when she went into labor a week early.
Now, it was finally time to take their daughter home. Alyx Grace Moriarty-Holmes. Their daughter. Still amazing to even hear those words together. Walking into the flat, holding her, he cooed softly to her. “And this is our home.” He tells the sleeping child softly as he looks around, gasping in wonder.
“Dear god, you cleaned.” He smiles up at him in wonder. The dusty piles were gone, weapons on the highest shelf, body parts and chemicals up much higher. The consulting detective’s version of baby proofing.

❝ i don’t understand, but i want to try. ❞
She sighs deeply, its hard to even articulate how she’s feeling right now let alone explain. “Thank you for that.” She says softly, resting her head on his shoulder, arms wrapping around him. She knows that she needs him. That’s something, right?

The Moment They Have Been Waiting For....Well...One of Them.
Tumblr media
@real-scienceofdeduction The day has finally arrived. And yes, the theme is skulls and the wedding is on Halloween, Liberty Powers soon to be Libby Holmes looks around the venue impressed. Amazing how everything that had been falling apart with the planning all seemed to work itself in the eleventh hour. Wonderful the things that they could achieve together. Already dressed for the event, firery red hair curled and pinned to one side, a live black magic rose pinned to the side holding back her curls, no veil, her dress black, of course, what else for Lady Death?  The dress is elegant, the perfect mix of traditional and modern. A sweetheart neckline, long black lace sleeves, the back covered but see through, the skirt black lace, in a trumpet skirt style, a small non lace train behind her, heels black with small skulls on them, her bouquet a mix of the roses like in her hair and lilies. Her make up is light but it makes her emerald eyes pop, lips red. She is calm as she waits for the festivities to begin, hand gently resting on her stomach, barely showing yet, but soon she will.

The priest had seen her around before, there was something different about her but haven't thought much about it. There were a lot of people in the world that were different after all. This was on another scale of different. He was trapped here with her and there was no getting out. He had tried the curtain more than once and it wasn't opening. He didn't understand but slowly, he turns to look at her. "What is this about?" He asks, carefully.
@kneel-for-the-father“You never sit with the confesser! You sit in the thing with the basket grate over it!” She exclaims, running a hand through her dark hair, almost knocking her dark glasses away. “Guessing my boss doesn’t like the fact I came here in the first place or got so close to you.” She sighs, her ire fading away as she tilts her head, studying him. “Why did you?”

Nevertheless I always do. -MH
He easily ignored Watson's minor contribution but he also didn't point of out as not to rile up Sherlock. Sherlock needed his rest afterall.
Mycroft appreciated Greg's words and felt similar. His flat would be less lived in if it weren't for Greg bringing him home every night for something more than sleep.
"You are the same to me which is why it is so hard... even if something like this is more ideal."
Ideal in that he got to have Greg safe at home despite the recuperation.
"Never is highly improbable, Gregory." He was sure one day that anything from his low morals to his constant surveillance to his mind would become too much and finally make Greg hate him.
"I was specifically asking about my surveillance right now." He answered acting as if it and the answer wouldn't affect him as he moved on from Greg's tie to his shirt. Unbuttoning it with steady efficiency.
And I will eagerly be awaiting your calls and texts. John is already ahead of you. He carried me back to be as soon as you both had left. Never fear brother mine. -SH
Sherlock rolls his eyes at the text, though he’s smirking. The text was a little sarcastic but at the same time he loved knowing his brother cares so much about him that he would bother to try.
He was also trying to make his brother not so mad at John. He was trying his best and just doing what he had been taught and thought was best for Sherlock at the time. He couldn’t be mad a that, even if his brother could.
-
Greg smiles a little, nodding, his hand laying on Mycroft’s chest, rubbing it. “I know, My. I really do. I hear Sherlock go on more than I’d like about he’d kill either of us.” He says, leaning in a little to kiss the other man on the cheek.
“You do know I say as safe as I can though, and I have you to thank for that. Coming back home to you is what gets me through each day and I’m sure, if I didn’t have you, I wouldn’t care nearly as much what may happen to me at work. I know I can’t say I will always be okay, because things like this happens sometime but I do what I can.”
Greg sighs as he’s sat on the bed and let’s the other man do as he thinks is necessary, wincing at the touch, even if there was no pressure from it. There is an attempt to hide it though. “I know it’s not ideal but of the possibilities I’d say this was one of the better options.”
He nods, knowing about the cameras that are always on him and how protective Mycroft is of him and of his little brother.
In the beginning he had thought the cameras were only to keep up with the younger Holmes. Over time though he realized that Mycroft would check them even when Sherlock wasn’t there. He did notice things like that, he had to in order to have the job he does. At the time he had thought it strange that Mycroft would be using them when there was no clear reason for him to care. It took awhile for him to learn but now he knew why he did it.
When he hears the other man come back in he looks up, “Never.” he responds, before asking. “Do I hate you for what?” He knew he could never hate Mycroft for anything but he was curious to know what he thought Greg could possibly hate him for.
