a headcanon i have is that cultcom is insanely creepy.

i don't really see them as someone who's all "believe me, i think i'm correct! the holy one sees all!" and is extremely super vocal about it. they are indeed active but in terms of loudness or whatever, it's more on the contrary. they're silent and like to stare into the distance but if there is someone nearby, they'll keep their focus trained on them like an owl (a more twisted reprise of the polite mannerism of keeping eye contact to show respect. in this case, they're doing it as a mockery).

they are not a good person and it is unbelievably difficult to watch. they're like a venus fly trap when they brainwash people into their commune, they are very eerily disgusting and undoubtedly a walking husk of who they used to be. if you stand beside them or see them from afar, they are very chilling. you can see them either standing very still with pinprick eyes at the sky / the ground or shaking their fists.

however, as silent as they are, they are quite the preacher once you get them actually going. they go on monologues that will make you go "what the hell? is wrong with you?" and "what are you on about?". they make it seem like everything is fine in this new vision they have but it is far from that.

also, i just feel like communalism was someone who would be very intent on a goal but their issue is that they're easy to stop once you manage to grab their attention. they're very open (haha, get it? because they're a communalist and everything is- im going.) to things. i feel as though they'd hear someone out but ultimately would be too stubborn to make an actual change in themselves (they are an OFF COMPASS for a reason!), i like to believe the only reason they had actually made a move to tweak themselves was because moralist was a realist and his ability or influential power or whatever manifests through the power of words. anyway, the reason why i expounded on that is because i believe that, as cultcom, they have a very one-track goal in mind and directs their attention and care to one concept of a person, people, entity, or whatever concept they envision as "the holy one" now. before it might've been easy to grab their attention because they had no utter devotion or dedication to. a concept? a thing? whatever delusional thing they believe in? it would be very hard to shake them off of this and they'd be immovable for a while.

another hc i have is that they tend to smile a lot. communalism already loved to smile but that was out of kindness. cultcom would smile as a way to "preserve" what was left of communalism (they're still cultcom) and to also to do it to express "friendliness". they don't smile all the time but it is definitely something that they do often. often enough that everyone thinks that they do it all the time.

tl;dr they gaslight and gatekeep but is not a girlboss. they are a walking creepy hazardous red flag and stink (like sulfur)

Oki @centi-pedve here's how realicide plays out in my mind, sorry this isn't like a coherent plot summary our thoughts about this are really scattered

The first thing that will tip you off to the fact this is not at all what would of actually happened is that our s/i is heavily involved with the plot so yeah. This also doesn't follow the events of centricide at all.

It would be revealed that the characters of 1984 exist in universe and Winston, Julia and O'Brien would become like secondary characters. I'm sorry for my demons. Julia and Egoism become besties btw.

The series would gain themes of like, Ideologies wanting to allow themselves to be more human and not just strict embodiments of their Ideologies. Because when they're just strict embodiments of their Ideologies, it leads to a society where they're basically just destined to have constant conflict with each other and struggle to make compromises to be friends with people who don't share their exact ideology because they ARE their Ideologies unlike humans who can have more varied thoughts.

Grej would end up taking on a more antagonistic role as someone who wants to keep the status quo of Ideologies not being allowed to have the complex feelings of humans and to not be more then their assigned ideology in order to continue the realicide despite the despair it causes (ie: communalism becoming a cultist because Darwinism kills moralism as part of the realicide) basically just for his own gain instead of the happiness of all the off compasses.

Basically the series would end not with one side completely winning or losing but with a sort of realization that "we should address the root problem of the fact that we're beings that by expected nature are opposed to each other always instead of just killing each other as a solution". Kinda a sappy ending I know, but I promise it wouldn't be a total "let's all just be friends" ending. And the story around it would feel satisfying.

Egoism would also be more than just a necromancer and also kinda become a general wizard/witch archetype I just think that'd be cool idk.

He would have some kind of confrontation with Cultcom that's like "you're so spooked by the idea of objective morality and purity and holiness that you've become a cultist you should stop that" "Repent for your egoistic sins, outsider!"

The only part of the things that we know would happen that happen in my mind is necromancer Egoism and him bringing back moralism and polnih as ghosts. Darwinism doesn't die in my mind. And also moralism isn't really responsible for turning Cultcom back to normal. I'm honestly not sure if they ever even actually turn back to normal in my mind they might just tragically die while still part of a cult.

The Senate Of Six eventually ends up actually joining the team and Ingsoc and Darwinist gain a sort of weird bond over being the only remaining members of the original team. Darwinist is Ingsoc's weird dog fr.

i’ll try to make this concise as possible but no promises so i might jump around a bit here and there i’ll format this as a list as that’s easier for me than writing a paragraph (also apologies for potential typos or anything of the sort)

this is in no order by the way, i’d say they’re all pretty equal in attributing to my distaste for them lol (´ε｀；)

also, last heads up, i think about things waayyy too seriously so if u just like communalism as a silly little guy i totally get it!! it’s just i perceive centricide/realicide characters as actual 3d characters and more than a parody (take everything i say w a grain of salt, realicide was very short lived)

one of my biggest gripes with communalism is their character as a whole, this portion truthfully is just my personal gripes regarding the design and the behavior of communalism

i feel like there’s a lot of missed opportunity regarding the design (as i do with a lot of the realicide designs so i’ll make this portion quick) i just think of it as lacking character for the personality that was chosen for communalism

speaking of personalities i hate communalism’s personality so much it’s the most annoying agitating thing on the planet

i apologize but i cannot stand the absentminded cluelessness and naivety along with the wholesome owo smol bean of his character (in the earlier episodes) i don’t find anything appealing or interesting about it it’s the auditory equivalent of nails on a chalkboard for me

you can still have adult (coded) characters that are naive and clueless (i mention this in more depth later, but i would find communalism way more interesting if they made them more harmful and overtly toxically positive, i think this would’ve made them fit into the main four’s threatening aura that everyone BESIDES communalism seems to have)

but i honestly felt like it was leaning into it way too much and it just felt so very tiring every time i saw him on screen it made me want to go outside and reconnect with nature before i destroy something valuable out of pure annoyance

^ i understand that realicide is a product of its time but it can’t pull off the smol bean owo thing it’s always really salted my ice cream even when grej wasn’t a corpse ^

this is where i get super passionate about this, especially when being put into the perspective of someone that sees these characters more as simply parodies

there’s a lot of implied shipping in realicide and i personally don’t really gaf about most of it because most of what i make is oc x canon anywayysss

but something i do gaf about is the whole moralism/communalism thing because of how much a fucking missed tanked opportunity it was

i typically really enjoy the while “character changing after loved one died” arc, but this particular instance is absolutely horrific imo

cult communalism as a character is so incredibly agitatedly OOC, how quick the change is from the overwhelming pacifism and optimism is to complete nihilism is so jarring

and it’s such an incredibly missed opportunity to turn communalism into this overly toxically positive character who is just unable to comprehend the death of a loved one but noooo instead he becomes edgy and emo and annoying while delivering corny lines AUGH

since in the earlier episodes communalism was so opposed to killing, i think they would’ve been much more interesting as a character that lingered onto that death and sulked over it rather than seeking revenge instantly even though the death was caused by a careless act

> (small side tangent 2) personally, my headcanons regarding this arc are that communalism attempted to resurrect moralism because his death had really opened their eyes and had blurred the lines of morality for themselves

i think it would also be fun to explore how exclusion happening more gradually and communalism slowly beginning to distance themselves away from the main four rather than instantly lashing out

also i would’ve liked to see communalism hide themselves and become a recluse and just become so invested with attempting to give someone they overbearingly loved so much another life because they see it as honoring them

maybe the resurrection works and moralist is completely repulsed and afraid instead of thanking them like how they envisioned

maybe it doesn’t work and communalism truly looses all hope and THEN begins to become hyper fixated on being moral and perfect and THEN he fucks off because the other main four are immoral

i think that’s way more interesting than communalism gets mad and fucks off while preaching some hippy dippy whatever

i can’t really super duper judge this arc though because of the limited episodes but i just hate how fast it happened and how poorly it was executed

TLDR ; because they’re annoying to me personally and i find the cult communalism arc ooc and a huge missed opportunity for something way more interesting
