Only Tuesday morning and I feel like a truck run over me. #fibromyalgia doesn't give me much space to color outside the lines. I have a huge list of things I'd live to do, and some obligatory to do's but my battery is still max 5% aftrr King's day, and yesterday's fun with UWV. I know I'll have to go back to my disciplined daily structure of diet, rest and exercise to recharge. It's okay. It's only baby photos around these parts these days 👶🏼 But that's what my life is at the moment after all. It's staying at home with the little one or going on outings and for coffee and lunch dates, so we do get to explore London, but most of the time I forget to take any decent photos. It's been a week since the breastgate now and while I was pain free for a very short amount of time, my breasts now burn again sometimes during and usually after the feed. It's not as bad as it was before, so no biting down on my hands, but it's not an altogether pleasant experience most of the time (there are times though when it's completely pain free! So, silver linings...). Also, wanted to say how grateful I am for all your advice or just messages of encouragement over this issue! We've tried rugby hold, which often works and reduces the pain. The cradle hold works too, but I find it difficult to support Lizzie as she's quite heavy despite the pillow support 😊 I'm also using #lansinoh nipple cream during the night, massaging breasts, cleaning nipples with a wet flannel, anything suggested has been tried. Working with a silk/merino yarn really makes you realise how badly you've neglected your #selfcare routine. My hands felt so rough and 'snaggy' on the yarn. I was chatting about this on twitter and @freyalyn recommended using a paste of olive oil and salt (apparently sugar works well too). Massage in well and then rinse under hot water. Genius idea and let me tell you it worked a treat. Well that was unexpected. I didn't intend to start another blanket but apparently I decided that a corner to corner crochet blanket would be just the thing. I managed to twinge my back quite badly this morning and after lying on the floor didn't work I attempted distraction therapy.
