Musselburgh Hat

Playing around with both ends of my scrappy Musselburgh hat before I shorten it to a wearable length. Pulled all the way down, I appear to have been detained by the Stockinette Chapter of The Knitting Craftivists (interesting image). I almost like the massively wide brim but it hides the Trans Pride stripes, and I want to be a visible ally. The bag cap has a kind of Renaissance or liberty cap look, but it's not exactly a 21st century look. Onward!

the blank space raglan is nearly ready for testing!!! I’ve put a link to the form here for you to fill out if you’re interested. here’s everything you need to know :^)

this pattern is made to measure and designed so that you can use any weight yarn, any hook size and any stitch

the top works up pretty quickly so I’d like the testing period to be 3 weeks from the date the pattern is sent out (this is flexible though)

you need to have a public instagram account and be willing to provide feedback and photos as well as make 1 post about the pattern

Austen's Persuasion! Fell in love with it very fast, and it remains one of the clearest, most cutting, most hopeful things I've ever read.

3) Recommend a fic.

I've been on a Dangeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves kick, and there are so many excellent fics I've read this week!

Clan Lighthaven is a short collection is absolutely pitch-perfect. scrapyarn is a fantastic relationship study and indigostohelit's (one of my favourite ao3 writer's!) tys hard to be a seinte in the cytie is fantastic.

4) Recommend music.

I'm Like A Bird is a summer anthem!

Experimenting with shapes and scrap yarn today. I like this foot shape but I kinda wish it was a little bit smaller. When it comes to doll making I often get bogged down in the details. Pirate Socks

Pirate socks! To display the Opal yarn of the cuffs to its best advantage, I decided to use helical knitting to spread out the patterned yarn. This Zitron Trekking Pro Natura yarn picks up the red in the Opal colorway nicely. The results are magnificent! On double pointed needles, of course. 😋
