Reading the AOC Arranged Marriage AU by @ladye-zelda reminded me that I haven't posted one of the Linktober drawings I completed recently! BOTW was basically the only game I was playing at the time and (until I played AOC and got to see it more thoroughly) I never really liked Zelda's prayer dress. The 10/16/2021 Linktober prompt was "redesign Zelda's outfit," so that's what I chose for the makeover

I’ve been sitting on this idea for months lol, I figured since in my original Zelda story the most recent turn of the cycle would be the events of the NES Zelda games I should straighten out the lore I want for that... which turned into semi-redesigning the two Princess Zeldas of those games, since the official art tends to use the same design for both of them... and THEN figuring out how I could incorporate some other, lesser-known designs from the early days!

I decided to redesign BOTW Zelda since I didn’t like her design that much. I did her riding outfit/main outfit, prayer outfit, and castle outfit (where she escapes her duties to look into the labs and libraries)

I didn’t like my designs for the colors outside of AU content so I redesigned them bc the canon boys need love too

I redesigned some skylanders I had trouble to come up with something recently, thinking i could've done this earlier but i hope it was worth it.

Sonic boom became from a griffon to a rito from Zelda games, her kids aren't cursed with the hatching loop and they come in battle by surprise even for her who struggles as single parent.

Astroblast, the light supercharger is of the same species as Ristar a character of old Sega videogames and has a special space suit with many powers in it.

Nightfall, supercharger of the dark, is dressed with animal crossing's desert princess outfit and uses tipycal desert people's weapons, tell me what do you think.

Sorry if it's hard to read anything! Just excited to get this up finally since I'm finally working towards this remake! (And ignore just how much graphite got spread around 😅)

I am taking a LOT of creative liberties with this project, and really that was bound to happen regardless as there is so much more content to work with now than what the show had going for it, so giving credit where credit is due, I don't think the show did a horrible job considering how little they had to work with.

Link is 10 at the end of the first Zelda game, and this story starts shortly after the game so he'll be 11 for the beginning. Zelda on the other hand, I made 24. Because of this, there isn't going to be any kind of romance between the two of them in any way, and is going to be more of a little brother and big sister relationship.
