Which part of the CPA Exam to take FIRST? This is a common question CPA Exam candidates ask. Well my answer here is: ⭐It DEPENDS⭐ Yes, it depends on your field of expertise. 👉If you are someone working in taxes, I recommend you start with the Regulation Part of the #CPAExam. 👉On the other hand, if you are working in Auditing, start with the Audit Part of the #Exam. 👉And if you are working in financial #accounting and bookkeeping, start with the Financial Accounting and Reporting part. Why? Because you will be able to relate your real life experience with what you are studying. This way, you will find it easier to absorb what you are studying and at the same time apply what you are learning in your real life job. So you will hit two birds with one stone- theory versus application. If you do that, chances are you will PASS this part on your FIRST try and, accordingly, get motivated to study the next one. Now, if you don't have a specific field of expertise, start with the Financial Accounting and Reporting. That's because it's the most condensed part and the one that overlaps with the other parts. If you don't know an answer to a question, shall you go with your gut? My answer is "YES", you should follow your gut. But it should be based on an educated guess and not randomly. Don't keep on changing your answers. From my experience, your first instinct is usually the correct answer unless you misread the question. It happened to me, I used to change my answers several times and ended up getting the wrong answer. Then I discovered that my fist instinct gut was the correct one. So if you don't know an answer to a question on the CPA Exam, make an educated guess and move on. Always, always trust your first gut instincts. Don't leave anything blank. This educated guess may give you the point you need to get the passing score of 75 on the CPA Exam. Thoughts please. When taking the CPA Exam, don't do this KILLER mistake👇. . . Don't go to the exam blindly without having a sharp time management strategy⏲. . . The exam time is limited to 4 hours and you have tens of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) to solve. . . And don't forget the Task Based Simulations (TBSs) which consume even more time than MCQs. . . Not having an effective time management strategy for the exam will get you out of time and, as a result, you will not be able to complete the whole exam. . . This is one of the main reasons alot of CPA Exam candidates fail the exam. . . That's why you must have a sharp time management strategy for the exam and not only this, you must stick to this strategy. . . Here is my best tips: Allocate the first 1.5 hours for MCQs and the remaining 2.5 hours for TBSs. So you must complete the first 2 testlets, which contain an average of 60 MCQs, within the first 90 minutes. This means that each MCQ must take 1.5 minutes on average. So practice MCQs within this time limit. . . What are the written communication tasks on the CPA Exam? ✅Written Communication (WC) tasks provide you with case studies or business scenarios and require you to write a memo or a letter to respond to these scenarios📝. ✅They appear only in the Business Environment and Concepts (BEC) Section of the CPA Exam. ✅ There are 3 WCs that appear in Testlet No. Five (the last testlet on the exam). ✅They form 15% of the BEC Exam score. ✅Out of the 3 WCs you will get in the CPA Exam-2 will be counted in your score and one will be a pretest question that will not be counted. But here is the thing☝, NEVER try to guess which one will not be counted ❌ and take care of all of them, because no one knows🤷‍♀‍. 👉Alot of CPA Exam candidates feel overwhelmed by WCs. However, in my opinion, they are a great opportunity for candidates to earn points on the CPA Exam👌. 👉That's because they are testing the basic writing skills of candidates (which most people have) more than the technical content the question is asking about😎.
