June 3rd is the perfect date to make an appearance. Lorelai is missing her best friend, so she focuses on another. Rory becomes Emily’s insider at the DAR, spying on all the gossipers. Then comes the 21st, but it isn’t how she imagined it... not until she and her mom make it right on the second row of the Taj Mahal. Then comes Rory’s takeover of Paris, and she isn’t thrilled by the news. A romantic trip to the coast is planned—and a delicious meal, too. Freeze-dried spaghetti is not going to cut it. Lorelai usually knows how to paint the perfect party, but this time it backfires.

I convinced some people in Remarkist to do a Mad About You watch with me and some of them have only seen random eps, at least one of them has never seen it before (except when I hosted the thanksgiving episodes and she said she loved it), and one of them hasn’t watched it from beginning to end in years. I put it on their calendar so I hope I get a bunch of people. Then I’ll have people to discuss it with instead of yelling into the void about it on Tumblr with little to no interaction on my posts lol. I’ve watched most of it 2 times, but parts of it 3 times this year, so I’m trying not to watch it alone anymore so I can watch it with them without getting [temporarily] tired of it. I started a Fringe rewatch on my Fringe discord server like almost 2 years ago, i think, but I had already watched it 3 times that year, so I’m kind of tired of it. But the rewatch is mine and we still get 5-7 other people, so I want to finish it. We’re in season 4, so we still have a few months left.

I don’t understand how some people can watch a show over and over without getting tired of it. There are so many Gilmore Girls fans who have watched the show countless times. Sometimes they sit down and watch episodes, some of them fall asleep to it at night, some of them just have it on in the background while they’re doing stuff at home. But I watched it 3 times in 2021 (did I start in 2020? I don’t remember), and I’m Gilmore-d out. Same thing happened with Farscape after like the 3rd time in a row. Then I can’t really see watching any of those shows again within less than like 2 years.

Along with this main project of ours, we also watch other favorite shows, movies, we even take inspiration from Rory and read together. We are constantly growing, building a bigger community, and forging stronger friendships.

Droids escape to a desert planet and are found by Luke and Obi-Wan. They make their way to a cantina to solicit the help of a smuggler to get them to Alderaan. There they find Han Solo who agrees—and who definitely shoots first. After a jaunt through hyperspace they find no Alderaan, just a tractor beam that pulls them into some dark moon. It turns out to be a new Imperial base, and in their escape attempt, they wind up in the trash. Most of the team makes it out alive just in time to join an attack effort against the base which leads to its ultimate destruction.
