This is a free fangame written by beanandberry (beanandberry.tumblr.com) and illustrated and composited by crowla (canterbury-bell.tumblr.com), created in Ren'Py between November 2024 and February 2025. It is a kinetic visual novel that takes approximately an hour to play, and it focuses on the pairing of Jax and Ragatha from The Amazing Digital Circus. The Amazing Digital Circus is by  Gooseworx and Glitch Productions. Please support the official release here. Notes

Editing existing Moments proved more of a challenge than writing entirely new scenes, but it was still exciting. So much to learn!

just dropped a big update for Iron Company, my big WIP visual novel project. the current demo is the whole first chapter, about 2 hours' worth of story, and i think even in its unfinished state you will have a good time :)

At the climax of a desperate war for farmland, John Sykes and Petra Raskoph fought a duel to the death. Dragged away to safety by their comrades, both of them survived. A year after the end of the war, they meet again by chance; Sykes, directionless, depressed, and running low on cash, and Raskoph with a dangerous but lucrative job offer that neither of them can afford to turn down.

Earlier today I downloaded Ren'Py cause I thought it'd be fun to make some visual novels lol. My first one is going to be based on the Simpsons cause it's my hyperfixation and stuff. I'm figuring out the scripting still but it's fairly easy to learn.

A first look at the latest environment I implemented, as well as some of the image renders you'll see when interacting with objects! It's an area from much later in the game so I haven't written for it yet, but I'm particularly proud of the texture work on the cigarette carton.

Its called Alma is Magically Late! It's a sapphic magical girl visual novel and my first game :D

I made it solo for the Magical Queer Jam

It is browser based, and you have the option to download it and play on your pc, mac, linux or windows computers.

The Wayhaven Chronicles - Update 10/Nov/2023

Super busy week this week! We have a very strict schedule to ensure this Christmas story is released on time, so it’s full steam ahead :D

We decided to do this game on the Ren’py engine, which obviously is quite the switch. It will still be text-based, but we can add a bit more pizzazz to it with some fun Christmas designs, GUI, as well as add in some music!

Obviously, this does present the problem of not being able to transfer in saves from Choicescript, but as this is a stand-alone story not affected by main game events, so that’s not a worry.

But I do want it to be super quick and easy to make your MC in this game seeing as you can’t just transfer them in—definitely not have to go through dozens of screens to do that! So I’ve managed to come up with a way to make it that you can pick your stats on one screen—simple and quick!

Nai has been designing the GUI aspects, and they look SO merry and amazing! You might have seen the work-in-progress stat screen I was just talking about this week that she posted.

It’s been quite the experience re-learning how to code GUI again, as it’s been quite some time that I’ve worked on Ren’py, and it��s been updated quite a bit since then :D But it’s coming together really nicely, so very pleased with that and the feel it’s giving to the game!

Something else I forgot would need to be thought of is fonts. So we’ve been trying to figure out the best font to make it unique, Christmassy, but very readable.

We’re also starting to think about how to look for some testers for releasing it on Mac computers. I’ve never had issue with releasing visual novels on Mac in the past as Ren’py games seem pretty stable on those, but we want to be super sure of it before being able to say yay or nay! :D

And then of course there was writing and coding the actual game itself, hehe! I’m having to be more strict with myself on too many dialogue choice sets seeing as it’s supposed to be a lighter game…but you guys know what I’m like by now, lol! Still want it to feel like a Wayhaven game and just as immersive 😁.

Soul Restruct is a sci-fi action yuri visual novel. Grey, a retail worker with a journalistic eye for beauty in the mundane, gets brought into the exploits of the elementally-powered "New Six."

As the newly-appointed chronicler of this team, Grey follows along to discover the meaning of civilian disappearances caused by a horde mechanical beasts, and the ambitions of the Tyrants in control of them. (all screenshots not final)

Soul Restruct will feature character and CG art by @jellyfishfortuna, background art by Ahruna and Nate D Hernandez, character designs brought on by the likes of khwany! On the soundtrack are @jamiepaige and @shadolith!

@teffiniwynn is the lead writer, producer, and director on Soul Restruct! Els White has been a great help co-writing. Studio Coattails is handling voice casting and Syon Santeria the direction! We'll do character and cast reveals over the coming days.

We're aiming to have a demo, and sometime afterward a crowdfunding campaign, in 2024! Stay tuned for further developments.
