part one: what happens in madrid
Tumblr media
1 year later.
She received an offer. To start a career in a new city—Madrid. To network with the most experienced and knowledgeable fashion. icons, to hone in on her craft of designing, to get one step closer to creating her own brand. She received an offer to be an Associate Director of Development and Design and she took it.
At the first opportunity, she packed her degree, all her belongings, sold her home, and jetted to Madrid on the first available flight. There, she was greeted with a bouquet of flowers and a bottle of wine on her kitchen island in the center of her new condo.
Congratulations, it read. I’m so proud of you and all you’ve done. I hope you enjoy Madrid as your home. Can’t wait to see you. Xx Jude.
Naomi smiled softly. Still as sweet as he was a year ago when he desired her attention. She brought the bouquet to her nose and inhaled softly. The scent of tulips would never get old. She made a mental note to keep flowers in the kitchen as frequently as she could.
Naomi spent the next few hours unpacking and organizing her home. By the time she’d come to a reasonable stopping point, her bedroom and bathroom had been unpacked and organized. Her kitchen and living room required some work, but they would be priority for later.
She huffed and prepared to sit on the edge of the bed but was halted in action by a loud knock on her door. Naomi whined loudly and clenched her teeth. With her feet planted firmly, she rolled her shoulders bag and trudged toward the door. 9:42pm. Who could…?
“Fix your face,” she heard once she opened the door. Her features immediately softened, her shoulders relaxed, and her eyes lit up. On the other side of the door was Jude, leaned up against the doorframe, another bouquet of flowers in one hand while a large backpack occupied the other. “Can’t be that upset to see me, can you?”
Naomi smiled softly and ushered him in. Jude nodded as he glanced around her apartment in approval. Proud was an understatement. She’d done the damn thing and he couldn’t have been happier for her. “Looks good, babe. You need help with anything?” Jude hardly emptied his hands before Naomi’s chest was pressed against his and her lips claimed his. His large hands circled around her waist and snuck downward to caress her bottom. She smiled against his lips. Three months was too long without him, and now, she’d see him almost everyday.
“Not right now,” she said once she pulled away. Her thumb caressed his face in endearment. She wiped away the remnants of her lip gloss and giggled. “Thank you for coming. I wasn’t expecting you until later this week.”
Jude shook his head. “My girl’s in Madrid and you thought I wasn’t coming today?” He blew a raspberry and waved her off. Naomi held her hands up in faux defense, “Alright now, Mr. Bellingham.”
“You eat?” he asked, sauntering to the counter top. Naomi shook her head. He began to dig into the backpack and pulled out containers of food—a variety to choose from. And of course, her favorite wine along with chocolate and packs of popcorn. “Jude…”
He was just so him. So considerate and kind. So generous and lovely. Her eyes began to water. Who would’ve known that the man who approached her a year ago at a dinner would be in her new home wining and dining her. Blessed couldn’t even describe how she felt.
“You’re amazing. Thank you,” Naomi said, wrapping her arms around his waist. Jude pressed his lips against her forehead, his heart fluttering at her touch. “Gonna take a shower. Did you bring clothes?”
Jude nodded, his stomach clenching. “Yeah, why, what’s up?”
Naomi pulled away and raised her eyebrow suggestively. Jude smiled softly and tapped her bottom as he followed her to her bedroom. “Yes ma’am.”
-
“Right there, baby?” His warm breath tickled her ear and scratched at her insides. Speechless. How had she never known the beauty of making love? It was so rich and warm. Maybe it was because of his gentleness and patience.
The way he caressed her so softly, encouraged her so boldly, and expressed his adoration so freely, had her mind going in circles. How had she gotten so lucky?
Her words were gargled as she tried to make out a simple statement. He found amusement in her struggle. She swallowed thickly. “Yeah, right there…”

“I’m so glad you’re here,” Jude whispered. “I know you’re not here for me, but you being here means everything to me.”
Naomi smiled. She placed her food on the bedside table and threw her arms over his body. “I’m glad I’m here too. I love you.”
Jude seared his lips against hers. To be close to her was everything. To know her was a privilege. One that he’d never take for granted. Ever. “I love you.”

When Wymack dismisses them for break Andrew immediately sets off down the length of the court wall. Renee glances at Neil. Neil isn't sure it is an invitation until he turns toward her and gets an approving smile. He is keenly aware that they are attracting attention as they set off after Andrew, but Neil doesn't look back at anyone.
There was a good chance the others didn't want him hanging out with the goalies, and it wasn't because it meant he and Kevin were still on the outs. The Foxes might be leery of Andrew and Renee's friendship, but there was over three hundred dollars in the pot on their would-be relationship working out. Neil distracted them from each other. Neil harbored no such illusions about Renee's chances. Besides, Renee did a good enough job distracting herself. She faded out of the conversation several times to check her phone and tap out quick messages. Neil picked up a little of the slack because they were planning evacuation routes and critical supply stops in case of a zombie invasion. Surviving on the run was Neil's forte and, even though it was a ridiculous scenario, it was interesting to see how his priorities compared with theirs. Renee stressed the importance of collecting survivors, which Andrew shot down immediately. "You wouldn't go back for anyone?" Renee asked. Andrew turned his hand over. "I can count them on one hand." "I think Coach would be good in a fight," Renee said as they passed the benches again. Wymack glanced their way, hearing his name, but only needed a moment to realize they weren't talking to him. "He's got a weapons permit, too." "He sold the gun when I kept breaking into his apartment," Andrew said. "What about Abby?" "What use is she to me?" Andrew asked. "You can't bandage a zombie bite and she wouldn't let us execute the infected. Besides, Coach wouldn't let her leave his sight. Let him keep her safe as long as he can." Renee conceded the point with a nod, and the conversation moved on to less crazy ideas. It stuck with Neil, though, and he tuned out their next debate. He wondered what he'd do if an invasion really happened. Neil was used to cutting all ties and hitting the ground running. Chances were it'd be instinctive to abandon all of them if the undead put in a ravenous appearance. It wasn't exactly an uplifting realization, but Neil could accept the ugly truths about himself.

I can't shut up about the foxes so heres another appreciation post.
Neil says during the Winter Conference that he doesn't think they (the upperclassmen) would be so watchful of the Monsters if Andrew was there, but I think he was just flat out wrong. When the Ravens did their strange V arrangement at the Fall Banquet, the upper classmen were out to help them in seconds. Allison spotted it and alerted it immediately, and the upper classmen were behind them immediately and fullheartedly. And Matt went searching for Neil the moment he could. The Upperclassmen may dislike the Monsters modes of operation, but they are their teammates and they will defend them until the end. They all huddle around Andrew when hes withdrawaling, they protect him and his secret sobriety fiercely. Even if they want to fight him constantly.
Matt Boyd, I adore him so much. He is ride or die for his foxes and so protective of them in his own kind and loving way. He respects Andrew but would fight him if he hurt anybody too badly. He and Wymack have similar operations, but while Wymack is hardened, Matt is empathetic and caring to his core. He loves his teammates, even the monsters, to the depths of his being. He doesn't agree with them, but he would happily fight anybody for them. That was shown the first game of the season when he took the card with a smile on his face after Kevin asked him to get the backliner off of him. Matt lets them handle their problems, like when Dan crotch shot the asshole Raven, or Neil waved him off when dealing with Riko. But the MOMENT they need him, he is ready for a fight and prepared to get hurt for them.
Allison is grieving and she dislikes the monsters on principle, but nobody fucks with her team without consequences. She dealt with her car getting damaged with calm hate and vitriol towards the Ravens fans and decidely didn't fully blame neil/ got over it quickly. She may not want to deal with the monsters more than necessary, or neil, but she would get carded protecting them, or alert the people she needs to to make sure they are okay.
Renee is closest to the Monsters because of her friendship with Andrew, but her priority is to protect the upperclassmen as Andrew and her have agreed. But her team is her team, and she is willing to go to great lengths to protect them, or anyone close to them like Jean. We know her loyalties deeply, and I think that's enough said for her.
Dan Wilds. I have so much to say and praise about her, and I am so glad she canonically becomes a coach like Wymack later on. She takes the shit thrown at her on the chin, and always has. She wants to throttle Andrew, but respects the Monsters decisions and Neils. She is hard as nails and is willing to fight and bleed and cry for her team. She handles things so well, and she doesn't take anyones shit. She won over Andrew's respect at Edens, and I wouldn't ever question if she could or would. She is fiercely protective of her team, and fiercely supports them no matter what. She is so expressive and caring, she doesn't always try to approach the Monsters because of how rocky things are between them and the upperclassmen. But she wanted to kill Riko for what he did to Andrew, and Seth, and Kevin, and Neil. She wanted to work out plans with them and converse with them. She is proud to be a Fox, and she is proud to call them all her teammates no matter their differences.

So I've been thinking.
And I think it's time to sort of go back over what I've talked about the last few years. From my "dips glasses in corporate oil" WBD merger narration, CW merger, and the various business changes that have led us to... where we are right now.
Tumblr media
Because people don't really get it yet, or accept it fully. Some think they do, some pretend it's relative. But the status of the Supernatural Franchise, the status of broadcast DC, the status of CW and Nexstar have all become a strange new future about to reshape everything down to the bones of convention structure for years to come, now inked in contracts. So pull up a chair. Sit down. Buckle in.
Tumblr media
Short version update of the Corporate Oil post:
As said, we survived the merger, no problem
As said, we're topping the charts with GOT, no problem
As said, we've got several deals locked on several product fronts for a few years, no problem.
As said, we're topping nexstar's digital profit nationally, no problem
Zaslav cut the 3 tier reporting structure, giving creative liberty back to creatives unless numbers suffer, no problem
Nexstar doesn't care about the creation methods of the properties it buys, right down to the LIV dispute.
Glen, and Renee, and others all show we're being handled with the import of DC
That's because Zaslav was advised on IPs by Jensen's mentor, Roth, who told him to do this to begin with
We're the next Harry Potter, welcome to hell antis
Meanwhile Berlanti, DC, Jensen, Misha overlap on both animated and broadcast new DC forms, and friendships
It's gonna be deancas and they gotta cope whether they accept that or not but all the rest aside
That's it that's where we are right now.
They're top properties, top signed deals for years in the future, they're the priorities, they're multi funded, we're golden.
If anyone else happens to be attached to a show that doesn't have these successes or reassurances they can just rant into the internet or whatever but seriously guys. Chill. This land is your land, this land is my land, from bluegreen georgia, to the newfound amazon prime land. from new con panels to the international max top number waters, this land is etc etc

“Admirable stamina, yet terrible priorities.” (Renee)
So much for a normal day with Uncle Kylie & his husband-to-be*, Shota. The trio had gone into New York with their matching sunglasses & the hopes of having fun, but sometime around 2 PM everything went to shit. Long story short, they were thrifting when they heard the owner gossiping about "those nasty muties". Renée & Kylie were violently playing rock-paper-scissors, best 2 out of 3, to get the right to tell his ass off when there were sudden screams outside. Cue a tentacle monster with a strange fondness for cheese. Said monster ended up attacking the shop owner, who decided to wander out with his dumb mouth full of cheeseburger (ick). Renée saved his ass out of the goodness of her heart & made sure to take off her sunglasses to show him her eyes. She, Kylie & Shota got the civilians to safety & blew the monster up (so the street smelled like farts). Also, Renée now possessed a bag of clothes that she may or may not have paid for (she left a $5), which she declared was the shop owner's "token of gratitude".
"Ey, Ah snatched 'is ass outta harm's way, didn' Ah? Even after he chose t' be all hateful n' shit," Renée huffed. Then she grinned. "Ya wan' me t' return de stuff Ah got f'you n' Eri, Mr. Aizawa?" Kylie was trying hard not to laugh, because he had no problem with his niece's mischief even though he knew his boyfriend did.
*Shota's not aware that they're getting married, or that they'll be engaged, but the LeBeaus are secretly working on it :)

the latest narzissenkreuz ordo quest is so much... where do I even start...
I'm not even finished with it yet (plus, I think I need to do the book of esotoric revelations quest + collect the enigmatic pages + go through the looking glasses to fully uncover all the lore and finish caterpillar's backstory) but there's just so much. I think I'll just make a thread here of all the interesting lore bits that catch my eye for now
disclaimer that uh. my progress in the archon quest? yeah I'm still in act iv lmao so I have no idea what's going on there. it's not my priority to finish 'cause honestly I'm waaay more invested in caterpillar's whole thing atm. anyway.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I once said that maybe imagination is itself perhaps a legitimate power or substance in genshin. it might not be that far-fetched considering that experiential substances are an actual thing you can use in magic. perhaps I wasn't using the right terms but.. the idea was pretty close!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
interestingly, caterpillar compares them to the elements. rene (in rene's investigation notes) does a similar thing where he compared the khvarena to the elements and I believe that's how he got the idea to do all of this anyway.
what is SUPER interesting to me though are these two things from the end of the search in the algae sea quest:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
gold (the color) has a loaded meaning in genshin even if we can't really pinpoint yet what it signifies. it's also always associated with the twins. I think I remember someone (probably ashikai) theorize that it's when you combine all the elements together (like an "omni" element) — and that kinda makes sense if you think about how we're basically resonating with all seven elements by the end of the game, and then (presumably) regaining our original powers back afterwards.
but there are other attempts at creating gold. there's rhinedottir and albedo's alchemy, which is still incomplete since albedo is... well, in the albedo stage, and not citrinitas, except if you ascend him to the last ascension level (on that note: the writers really did flip the rubedo and citrinitas steps to make gold the last step huh).
then there's "reason" which is this quest's whole... thing. a golden sword! kinda makes me wonder, especially paired with the note on those who "descend" and how the traveler (tagged as the fourth descender) canonically has a "sword of descension" (PS4 sword item)...
is it that "reason" is equivalent (not necessarily the same) to the omni element? is the traveler's sword of descension like the holy blade of narzissenkreuz?
Tumblr media
lastly, I wonder what the last divination technique mentioned here is. also, hey look, hydromancy! that's mona's thing!!

ZODIAC SIGN: Gemini
OCCUPATION:  Owner of Like a Broken Record, Secret stripper at the Vanilla Unicorn
HOBBIES: Singing, making music, dancing
RESIDENCE: The Harlow Estates at the McCray Residence
ABOUT
Lakeyn McCrays story all started about 35 years ago when her parents met, fell in love and got married. Greggory McCray was an influential man, inheriting a big corporate business that was passed down to him from his father. Gabrielle also grew up around money, strick parents and was raised to be the perfect trophy wife. They fell in love and started to grow their beautiful family. The McCrays loved their kids, but work was a priority. While Gabrielle did in-fact become a trophy wife, she was intelligent and got a good education and in part, runs part of the McCray’s company. The McCray’s weren’t just stupid rich, they were known.
Going back to that family they were growing, the welcomed in two little boys into the family rather fast, being a year apart and during this Gabrielle stayed home from work and cared for them. But after getting pregnant with her third boy, she wanted her life back. After he was old enough, she returned to the work life and the children were raised by a nanny. The McCrays never felt like the perfect family because there was something they were missing, that Gabrielle wanted more than anything.... a daughter. When going for child number 5, she was blessed with yet another boy... and a girl. Twins! And as much as Gabrielle wanted a daughter, two babies proved to be a lot and baby number 4 was only 11 months older than 5 and 6! Eventually she returned back to work leaving them with the nannies. The McCrays were blessed with one last child, a glimmer of hope thought to be another girl but no. That left Lakeyn to be the only daughter out of 6 sons.
As Lakeyn began to get older, her mother seemed to be more interested in her. She had her perfect little doll, and Lakeyn would do all the things her mother wanted her to do, like dance, gymnastics, ice skating, cheerleading, girl scouts, and lastly, Lakeyn’s least favorite, beauty pagents. The standards for Lake were much higher than those of her brothers, they could play in the yard and get muddy but she was expected to be perfect, proper and clean. But those who grow up with a lot of brothers, well you know how it goes.
Anyone could have taken a singular look at Lakeyn as a child and known she was gay. She loved to get dirty, play sports with her brothers and genuinely had no interest in her barbies or princesses or anything. She wouldn’t figure it out for many years to come but at that young age, her parents questioned it. Lakeyn felt the pressure her mother put on her to be perfect, perfect for the crowds, perfect in school, perfect for the nannies, just perfect. Being gay did not fit into being perfect. When Lakeyn started questioning her sexuality she shut it down and locked it in a box, living in denial for some time and followed it up by living in the closet. To this day she still has not come out to her parents. To be truthful, the Lakeyn they know, is honestly a big sham. She lived a double life.
Where did she get this idea from though? As a child, Lakeyn was relativity obsessed with Hannah Montanna. Lakeyn fell in love with music and was quite talented. She focused on that for high school and college, she found it to be an escape. But as a rebellious kid, she drew ideas from her  favorite childhood tv show and began her own double life. For the peace at home, by day Lakeyn was this perfect young lady, she owned her own record shop but was the child of her parents dreams. By Night she was a hip, musician, playing in dive bars, gaining followers on tik tok and growing her music under an alias, Olivia Knight. Her family was already so well known, she couldn’t post under her name. But she took this one step further, just for fun...
With the love of dancing, and being a rebellious, unhinged girl, it wasn’t hard for Lakeyn to grow interest in dancing, pole dancing, and then becoming a stripper, a secret stripper. Colored contacts, wig, and all was how she pulled it off. Many people of Hidehill might know her as Summer Rae, but the difference between this identity, it wasn’t just an alias, she was a different person. Lakeyn took it far too, having a different phone, new sets of socials and even friends that only knew her as Summer. But the one thing she knew was, she couldn’t keep up with it forever
TLDR
Lakeyn grew up to a very rich, influential family. The only girl out of 6 boys left her mother nitpicking her every action and forcing perfection on her. For many years she tried to fit this perfect image until she couldn’t keep denying herself anymore. With her love of music, she posts on tik tok under an alias for her singing and such, she isn’t big at all but it makes her happy. While she owns the record store, she also works nights as a stripper but in disguise so no one knows its her

Celebrating a UHS Student Employee’s Graduation and Journey at University Health Services
Tumblr media
Braydon Demasters, a longtime student employee at University Health Services (UHS), graduated on May 11 with a bachelor's of science degree in biology after serving in various roles at UHS for two years.
Demasters joined UHS in the summer of 2022 as the Patient Education Management intern through the Texas Leadership Education and Development (Texas LEAD) summer internship program.
“During my first internship role at UHS, I worked under Sheila Mahon in the Gynecology clinic,” Demasters said. “In that role, I went through all of the patient handouts and paperwork so that I could update the content when needed. This served as a really good introduction into all that University Health Services offered.”
Demasters said he worked in the UHS administrative office, where he began building strong professional relationships with the staff. As his summer internship was coming to a close, the administrative team recognized his potential and offered him a position as a student assistant, allowing him to continue his journey with UHS.
“I was thrilled to be invited to stay on,” Demasters said. “I worked as a student assistant for my entire junior year and I really enjoyed all of the people I was working with.”
In the summer of 2023, Demasters worked with Renee Mathews, Director of Nursing Services at UHS, to create the Accreditation Optimization internship role.
“We had just gone through the accreditation renewal process with Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care,” Demasters explained, “so I was given the task of organizing and categorizing all of the feedback we had received from that process.”
Renee Mathews was one of Demaster’s supervisors while he was in the Accreditation Optimization internship role. She said from the start she knew he was going to be able to handle whatever they threw at him.
“We learned pretty early on how capable he is,” Mathews said. “He is able to capture what we need quickly and eloquently and he has remarkable attention to detail which helps his ability to handle high-level work.”
After Demasters finished up his second summer internship, he returned to his role as student assistant to the UHS administrative staff.
“By this point, I was gaining more confidence in my work and was able to take more initiative,” Demasters said. “It was nice to collaborate with other areas in UHS to help in whatever ways I could.”
Despite taking on various roles during his time at UHS, Demasters said that the experience has given him an immense appreciation for the exceptional level of care provided by the UHS team, from the providers to the nurses and the support staff.
“Before my time at UHS, I didn’t realize the huge amount of work it takes to serve the student body at UT in this capacity,” Demasters said. “But I noticed very early on the amount of dedication that the folks at UHS have.”
Demasters said he has always encouraged others to be proactive about their health, but since his involvement at UHS, this commitment has become even more of a priority.
“Being a student at such a large institution can sometimes make you feel detached and like you are just a number,” Demasters said, “but the people at UHS are truly willing to give you a very personalized experience. It has been so rewarding to have this experience and to witness the amount of work and care UHS puts into their jobs. They want students to be able to feel their best and do their best, and it is amazing to see.”
Mathews said she enjoys having students in the office so they can learn, grow and develop new skills.
“Students are always willing to take on a project and devote their time to it,” Mathews said. “I do love to watch them grow. We work so closely with them so we are able to see their interactions improve in a professional setting on top of all the knowledge they are getting from doing their day-to-day tasks.”
Demasters said he plans to take a gap year after graduation, but knows he wants to pursue a career in optometry.
“This job has helped me solidify my love of working with patients and helping them advocate for their healthcare,” Demasters said. “I know the skills and things I have learned while working here will follow me into the future and one day into my career.”

San Diego Unified School District helps families impacted by January storm
Close to 100 families part of SDUSD received motel vouchers after their homes were hit by the January 22 flooding.
Project Rest, a program overseen by the San Diego County of Education, has helped families affected by the January 22 storm that hit San Diego and left many displaced.
“We lost everything…everything,” motel voucher beneficiary Rene Garcia said.
Garcia is one of close to 100 families part of the San Diego Unified School District who received motel vouchers. The program is intended to provide short-term emergency motel stay.
“I received a phone call, they wanted to extend the voucher for another 10 days so I said thank god you know, because if not we’d be sleeping in the car or something,” Garcia said.
Garcia’s motel voucher will last until February 15. In the meantime, his home is undergoing repairs to soon move back in.
“The whole house just totally completely ruined,” Garcia said.
On top of getting displaced by the storm, he also suffered the loss of his father.
“He wasn't sick, he was just in bed rest you know, but due to the flood and all that and him being exposed to all that dirty water and everything it gave him pneumonia,” Garcia said.
During this time of need, students and their families are top priority for the SDUSD.
SDUSD Office of Children and Youth in Transition's Kristy Drake said they receive funding through grants and out of the American Rescue Plan, but it's running out.
“We had an allotted amount to last until an entirety of the year but I've used all of that in two weeks time,” she said.
Despite the funds running tight, Drake tells CBS 8 that families in the district affected will not be left without a place to stay.
“We are not going to leave any of our families outdoors or in their cars so we are extending and hopeful that some more stable housing relief will show up very very soon,” Drake said.

A Target's Top Priority is to be AWARE of Your Surrounding's 24/7 When I moved here in 2014, as it had since 2006, the military COINTELPRO followed.
I remember seeing the Nelson family and their two son's going and coming. They are an attractive, fit couple with two handsome boys that I had seen several times talking to a neighbor and also in the grocery store with their youngest son.
Around 2015, I watched Black LAPD, with police department's across the USA in training for psychotronic and beamed mind control / mind invasive weapon systems and drones, hold a meeting in the corner house behind mobilizing the community. The corner house behind is the main house used by all of them around the clock. I saw the Nelson's leave this meeting along with another family across the street. Shortly after the FBI showed up and enter four houses, the Nelsons for one. A few months later, I saw the Nelson family pull a U-Haul up to the garage pack out, apparently what they need and moved giving their house over to this operation with the bonus of mortgage payments now for 10 years. The house should be almost paid off by now. These house were built in 2003.
Federal Funding for Community Surveillance
Today Lockheed Martin personnel at the Nelson's house, tried to legitimize themselves using Gaslighting tactics. The woman trainer and the man, whom I have pictures of operating in the corner house behind me, at the helm of the Sonic Weapon system with military became D level actors. They dragged out a few items for a garage sale and did not get the cobwebs off. Using mind reading, they knew I would stopped by to get an up close look at the woman and man. They are assigned from one of Lockheeds most secretitive conglomerates in this nation "Skunk Works" 10 minutes away and appropriately named.
I asked the women, knowing she was not, "You must be J. Nelson" "Yes," she said and that's my husband "B. Nelson" pointing to the obese Lockheed Martin trainer. She also said, both obese versions of J.N. and B.N. they were retiring to Arizona and him to Wyoming then tried to clean it up mentioning her two sons. I am sure she meant the two military personnel operating at the Nelson's house continuing beamed torture 24/7.
Yes, folks, they are back on and leaning heavily on the mental illness tag!

'So sorry': Celine Dion cancels 2023-2024 shows over health
PARIS
Pop icon Celine Dion has canceled all her remaining shows scheduled for 2023-2024, saying she was not strong enough to tour as she battles a rare neurological disorder.
The 55-year-old Canadian revealed last year that her condition -- Stiff-Person Syndrome -- was affecting her singing.
"I'm so sorry to disappoint all of you once again... and even though it breaks my heart, it's best that we cancel everything until I'm really ready to be back on stage," the "My Heart Will Go On" singer tweeted.
"I'm not giving up... and I can't wait to see you again!" she added.
A statement released by her tour said: "With a sense of tremendous disappointment, Celine Dion's Courage World Tour today announced the cancellation of all remaining dates currently on sale for 2023 and 2024."
"I'm working really hard to build back my strength, but touring can be very difficult even when you're 100 percent," Dion said in her statement, which was also posted on Instagram.
Dion, one of the top women singers with an octave-busting voice, is the author of hits like "Because You Loved Me", "My Heart Will Go On" and "Think Twice".
In December 2022, she posted a tearful video on Instagram to say she had recently been diagnosed with Stiff-Person Syndrome and would not be ready to start her European tour in February as planned.
She said the disorder was causing muscle spasms and was "not allowing me to use my vocal cords to sing the way I'm used to".
Sufferers commonly experience stiff muscles in the torso, arms and legs, with noise or emotional distress known to trigger spasms.
The cancellations will affect her 16-country tour in Europe which was due to start in Amsterdam in August and conclude with two dates at the O2 arena in London in April next year.
Tumblr media
Tickets purchased for the canceled dates will be refunded via their original point of sale, her website said.
Her "Courage World Tour" began in 2019, and Dion completed 52 shows before the COVID-19 pandemic put the remainder on hold.
She later canceled the North American section of the tour due to her health problems.
The dates in Europe were to have been the Grammy-winning singer's first global concert tour in a decade and the first without her husband-manager Rene Angelil, who died from cancer in 2016.
Fans online reacted with disappointment, but wished Dion well.
"Not surprising, but no less sad. Courage to you Celine, we are with you," wrote fan information account @LesRedHeads.
"You don't have to apologize queen! Take care of yourself. Your health should take number one priority," wrote @notaerz.
Dion had sparked hopes of a recovery when she released a new album "Love Again" last month, the soundtrack for a film of the same name, which contained five new songs as well as past hits.
The youngest of 14 children, Dion was born in Quebec, Canada and got her start at 12, when her mother sent a recording of her to Angelil, who mortgaged his own home to finance her first album.
She began singing in French, but started bellowing out hits in English after taking English lessons in the 1980s.
She gained worldwide fame in 1997 with "My Heart Will Go On", the theme to James Cameron's epic film "Titanic".
She parlayed that success into a regular gig at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas, playing for audiences night after night for 16 years, with only a few breaks.

CSSP Building CR Story - Survey 01
The community that I have chosen to tell their existent and persistently experiencing issue is one that would more or less be overlooked by anyone whose goal is to pursue stories from a community. It is physically not as big as a barangay but it certainly has the qualities of it—the CSSP community within the Bulacan State University.
Tumblr media
Photo 01. The CSSP Building.
Upon conducting a series of interviews with members of the community and those who are affiliated, they all have raised a single concern: the not well-maintained comfort rooms of the first and second floor of Mendoza Hall, most commonly known as the CSSP Building.

Photo 02 and 03. The CSSP Building comfort rooms.
First, “Kian”, a junior student from Bachelor of Public Administration 3A, said in her interview that she has no primary idea of how long the comfort room problem has been existing since it was her first academic year attending physical classes at the university. But what she does know is that such facilities are certainly one of their concerns because of its non-availability of tap-water and the foul odor emitting from the area. She hopes for the renovation of the comfort rooms if possible, as she noticed such renovations are taking place in other college buildings such as the Flores Hall. All in all, Kian is all for a “clean, well-maintained, and sufficient space for students to freshen up, especially now that on-site classes are back.”

Second, Skye, a sophomore student from Bachelor of Science in Psychology 2C, asserts in her interview that the improvement of such facilities are long overdue. She thinks the problem has persisted ever since the face-to-face classes in the university have resumed. Likewise, she deems the matter as something that should be dealt with great priority saying “ASAP, kasi hindi lang mga tao sa CSSP yung gumagamit niyon [comfort rooms]”. The improvements she’s referring to are not only the cleanliness but the actual repair of unavailable cubicles to avoid having a crowd inside a place wherein one should be able to do their business, she emphasized.

Third, Jeibhine, a sophomore student from Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in English 2E, also raised his opinion regarding the matter in his interview as he is someone who is affiliated with the BulSU SG Mental Health Coalition, a committee led and chaired by the Psychology Board Member from the CSSP Local Student Council. His frequent visit to the building has made him notice the comfort room problem as well. The reeking smell is what he hates the most from it, next to the nonfunctional faucets and out of order toilets.

Fourth, “Strawberry”, a sophomore student from Bachelor of Science in Psychology 2A, staunchly criticized the problem by pointing out that it has long persisted “ever since nag-start face-to-face ganun naman na yung estado na naabutan ko [comfort rooms]”. She hopes for the immediate renovation of the restrooms and the addition of bidets for each cubicle because “Ang hassle kasi kapag wala, need mo pa kumuha ng gripo sa sink e tapos minsan hina pa ng tulo” hence everyone takes a while to finish their business. “Kahit yung man lang, basic necessity sa isang comfort room”, she ended.
Tumblr media

Lastly, Merwyn, a sophomore student from Bachelor of Science in Psychology 2C, put out his opinions by concurring with the other participants saying it certainly has been present ever since he started attending on-site classes “way back before our batch’s first academic year”, he emphasized. He pointed out that the critical problem with the comfort rooms of their building is the lack of running water; seeing how he noticed other colleges have functional comfort rooms with running water. He ended by saying that resolving the problem he mentioned requires plumbing that must be “attended to professionally.”

To sum up all of the responses I got from the interview I conducted in the CSSP Community, aside from the descriptions of the comfort room problem, they all have met in the middle by hoping that the CSSP Local Student Council and their local admin be present in dealing and resolving the existent problem that they are persistently experiencing in their building to which they all considered a second home.

Ever since the jail incident, Damian rarely went out in public. His face had been everywhere and he didn't want to deal with the harassment. So..he used proxies. And today was one such day where he used one. A young woman with long, light brown hair.
And as he was doing his grocery shopping, he caught a glimpse of another with brown hair and green eyes. The last time he saw Kanou in a place like this ended in a surprisingly pleasant conversation, despite the circumstances. Maybe it could again?
"Kano-" A pause. Ah, that wasn't— That was Jemand. A flush of deep embarrassment came over his face and he looked away, swallowing thickly. "I am so sorry, I thought you were someone else."
There was always an unspoken pressure to move on too fast when the worst happened. Mostly a pressure he put on himself, as keeping up appearances was always a priority, but being up here did make it worse. Jemand couldn't just take breaks from his career all the time when he was broken. That wasn't how things worked.
And White Feather knew nothing about what happened, which reminded him of just how well he could lie straight through his teeth if he needed it.
Okay, a few days ago he was in Renee's basement for hours and Flora was gone and Aimi was missing at best or dead at worst, but there were positives. There was always a brighter side of things.
... Like the price on his favorite chips going down a little bit. Damn, with a silver lining like that he didn't even know why he was feeling down in the dumps--
Okay. Sarcasm was not helping either. He'd think of something that helped.
His... his makeup was on point. There was that. He was actually traumatized, but his makeup looked great--
"Eh-"
...
Oh no. O h n o.
There was a pretty girl. And she confused him for someone else. And she sounded so happy at first! ... God-- the blush was really fucking cute--
Tumblr media
"Hey, don't worry about it," He said, flashing her the most charming smile he could under the circumstances. Which was still a pretty charming one, all things considered. "Are you looking for someone in here, or did you just.. think I was familiar?"

⚠️⚠️Trigger warning In this episode we dissect Hak Ja Han Moon’s theological reading material from Japan that works to indoctrinate the young children growing up in the Unification Church today. We unpack the psychological manipulation, coercive control and problematic story telling that festers in the Moonies. We dissect institutionally conditioned self-harming behavior, self-sabotage, financial exploitation, emotional abuse, and so much more.

According to the testimonies of Soon-ae Hong and Hak Ja Han, and the children’s book described in this podcast, it appears Hong tried to kill her daughter, Hak Ja Han, shortly after she was born. She was saved when her grandmother, Won-mo Cho, heard a commotion and came into the room. Cho played a significant role in raising Hak Ja Han. Soon-ae Hong (the mother of Hak Ja Han) spent two year in jail for beating to death an 18-year to rid him of evil spirits. This was in 1957, after she had joined Sun Myung Moon’s church. LINK

noriahojanen   Oct. 8, 2022  08:42 am JST In a summarized version of the faxed message read out during the event, Sayuri Ogawa's parents called for the press conference to be halted immediately, saying their daughter has a "tendency to lie," and the psychiatric issues she said she suffers had worsened since a gunman killed former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.
In a recent Tweet, Sayuri revealed that as a kid she did love her parents, especially her mother. Sadly, they had put all priority and affection into the cult, not to their child's wellbeing. A big dilemma and tragedy.
Sayuri seems to be smart and strong. She used to be a popular young leader for the cult. I wish her well.

"He’s been like that all day" or "Where’s the first aid kit?" + TFC?
“Nobody touch him,” is the first thing Andrew says when he walks into the lounge. To anyone else, it sounds nonchalant, but Neil can hear the undercurrent of anger-tinged concern in Andrew’s voice that no one else but maybe Kevin would pick up on.
“I don’t know if you’ve noticed,” Allison hisses, her voice as icy as her personality, “but Neil is fucking bleeding to death in front of us. And you want us to not touch him.”
Except Neil isn’t bleeding to death. He knows what it feels like to bleed to death and this, right now, is not it.
That doesn’t mean he isn’t bleeding, though. He is. But curled up on the couch on his side, bruised and bloody knuckles pulling his knees into his chest, his chin tucked down so he can barely see the lounge through his lashes, blood slowly staining the couch beneath him from the scrapes and scratches all over his body, that’s not bleeding to death. He’s not going to die. He’s had worse.
Of course, he’s learned that he’s not even close to fucking fine, either.
So Allison’s wrong. He’s somewhere in the middle of fine and bleeding to death, and Neil thinks that the important part out of that thought process is that he is not bleeding to death.
Man, if Andrew could hear what Neil had been thinking, he’d probably be calling Neil an idiot and increasing his “I hate you” percentage.
“Fuck,” Nicky curses from somewhere on the other side of the couch.
Neil tucks his chin in tighter even though he loses his view of the lounge completely, tensing at the sudden loud sound so close to him. The others are at least giving him a little distance. But Nicky doesn’t always do distance very well.
Neil thinks that he’s missed some of the other conversation because he can hear Allison, Andrew, Kevin, and Dan arguing about him across the room.
“What’s wrong?” Matt asks from somewhere next to Nicky.
“Did anyone call Coach? Or Abby?”
“Oh.” Matt’s voice sounds sort of hollow. “Renee called both of them. They’ll be here within the next twenty minutes, they said.”
“Fuck,” Nicky says again, more emphatically this time. “What even happened?”
There’s a pause, and Neil swallows against the guilt and shame and frustration rising in his throat. After a moment, Matt says with the same emptiness as before, “I honestly don’t know. He’s been like this since Dan and I first got here. He hasn’t moved more than an inch since,” and to Neil, Matt’s voice is just wrongwrongwrong and it’s Neil’s fault.
“Has he said anything?”
“No. We both tried to talk to him but he wouldn’t respond. He wouldn’t even look at us.” Matt pauses, and when he speaks again, his voice is lower and softer and filled with ten times more emotion than before, and something inside Neil heaves with relief, “As much as I hate to admit it, I think Andrew’s right in this case. The girls may think getting him patched up physically is the biggest priority, but I shared a room with Neil long enough to know that touching him right now would be a really, really bad idea. And as long as we don’t know what happened, we can’t do much of anything.”
Neil loses time after that. He gets lost in his thoughts within the darkness of his temporary curled up prison-slash-sanctuary from the ever enclosing outside world. The voices around him drift into hazy incoherency and it’s all Neil can do not to spiral into the death maze that is panic and instinct.
The argument across the room grows louder in volume, his friends yelling over each other and drowning out Matt and Nicky’s conversation behind him. The words of the argument don’t stick, but they don’t have to for Neil to know that it’s about him. He’s causing problems again.
Tamping down on that urge to runrunrun has never been harder than it is at this moment, and he digs his fingers tighter into his joggers to preemptively stop his legs from betraying him. He had promised. He had promised Andrew he wouldn’t run again.
And even though it feels like the world is shattering to pieces around him, he won’t break that promise. Not even if it kills him.
There’s a door slamming open and new voices join the old in the argument across the room. After a few tension-filled moments of Neil’s friends and coach metaphorically tearing at each other’s throats, Wymack’s sharp voice cuts the others’ off and the room falls into a hush.
"Where's the goddamn first aid kit?"
"Here, Coach."
No one else says anything, and Neil tries not to let the quiet unnerve him. He’s not sure he succeeds.
“Neil?” Abby asks after a moment from across the room. He hates that he’s really grateful she’s over there and not over here. He really, really hates it. “Will you let me patch you up?”
Neil says nothing. Not no. Not yes. Because right now he’s floating in some subliminal space inside his head and he can’t fully control his body. Can’t control his mouth to verbalize his answer. Can’t control the voice reverberating throughout his skull that sounds so much like his mother’s when it panics and rages that he’s ruined all of this and he needs to run. All he can do is curl up tighter and hope that something will pull him out of his mess of a mind.
That somehing turns out to be Andrew.
“Yes or no.”
Andrew’s voice is quiet. Barely above a whisper and not right next to his ear, but closer than Nicky and Matt were and loud in the quiet of the room. Andrew doesn’t try to touch Neil. Not without his consent.
It’s always yes with you.
Neil had said that. And he tries to focus on how it feels to be sitting on the edge of the rooftop with Andrew while Andrew smokes and Neil cradles a cigarette, inhaling smoke and memories. He tries to recapture the rare contentment of sitting next to Andrew and knowing that he doesn’t have to run. Not anymore.
He tries his best to hold onto all of that instead of the panic that’s been building in his chest for hours, since he stumbled into the team lounge, bloody and bent but somehow not broken, and waited for the inevitable moment one of his teammates found him not pretending he’s fine for once in his goddamn life.
Neil gives Andrew a miniscule nod.
He hates that he doesn’t think he can give anything more than that right now. But Neil had meant what he said. With Andrew, it will always be yes.
“Neil.” There’s a frown in Andrew’s voice, the blankness barely masking the concern and anger. “Yes. Or. No.”
Andrew isn’t going to take Neil’s nod as an answer. Neil is going to have to somehow use his vocl chords.
Neil chokes his first try.
He chokes his second try, too.
He doesn't try a third.
Instead, he shakes his head and buries it further into his knees. His words are gone, and he can't answer. Andrew hisses out a breath.
"I hate you," Andrew tells him, and some of the tension in Neil's shoulders relaxes a miniscule amount. "Nod or shake your head if you can't talk. I'm going to touch your neck. Yes or no?"
Neil nods.
Andrew's hand fits into place at the back of his neck.
The world slams back into him, and suddenly, suddenly, Neil can breathe.
And so he does.
