I feel the need to stress, this world is set in the future. It’s been A While. A LONG While.

Lets say the zombieness started spreading around modern day. A lot of people died, but humans have been living on for a while! It was mostly localized to the biggest cities. There were precautionary measures, the infected were taken out and studied. It wasn’t an apocalypse, it was a pandemic. The world didn’t just stop spinning instantly. It died slowly.

People could still live freely. But it was miserable. Things only got worse and worse. But it was livable.

Until recently (recent enough for kittypets to still exist) when there just. Weren’t enough people to operate society. Not enough people to ship cargo, not enough people to operate the ships carrying that cargo, not enough people to MAKE or MAINTAIN the ships, create the FUEL for it, so on. Without imports, and food rotting quickly in stores, fabric decaying, and anybody that isn’t a rancher with access to farm animals. A lot of people didn’t last. A lot of people didn’t know HOW to do this stuff.

As of this point in the comic, humans are mostly gone. There are a few left, just the descendants of those who could afford to survive. They get to hide away in a bunker, eating canned food. There are a lucky few, living in the more isolated parts of the world, who still live above ground. Maybe there’s a society of boat people who live off fish and their own gardens, and they use sustainable energy to power their boats. Or something. Who knows.

People aren’t dying anywhere near as often as they used to. But the world still isn’t healing yet.

Funny how like 90 percent of people wanting the wilds back hate to acknowledge the fact that it's partly their fault. I want the wilds to be renewed as well, however if I DARE say yall aren't ready for it and a small part of me thinks some viewers are undeserving I'm the bad guy. sparklez im so sorry for the late reply i had a really really bad yesterday but I'm gonna rewatch the episodes today because I loved them so much and LUKE oh my god I didn't expect to get so much of him in the second episod ebutbit makes sense because we're gonna have so much annabeth and grover during the quest! i think the whole set up is so good!! at first i didn't understand the fade to blacks but i think they line up really well as that post said about chapter endings (i would like them to be a little shorter tho)

I saw you liked the second episode more but I love how the first episode just lays the groundwork for percy and sally's relationship and just sets up that bond and his character arc up so well and I'd like to think of both episodes as the "premiere"

I love the look of camp so much, I think Chiron's CGI is a little out of place it seemed better in the movies (speaking of the movies i kinda wished we kept the this is a pen line) but speaking of new dialogue I AM SALLY JACKSONS SON 😭 that made me cheer so hard!! but the "i made a new friend" and he's taking about luke!! even the "she's my little sister" seriously he kinda stole the episodes for me a little but mostly because I've read the books and I'm just wired to think about the last olympian and the ending

I love aryan as grover and omg dior as clarisse!!! Seriously sea of monster is so underrated and I love that book maybe a little more than the lightning thief and I can't wait to see more of clarisse!

PERCY is also so perfect I just love how these kids have read the books and just know the characters and I really love how we're not shying away from percy's anger and disdain for the gods because it is on par with luke and I think especially reading everyone else's pov in hoo you really start to realise the difference of how everyone views percy

I'm really intrigued for the next episode because it's medusa and it seems from interviews they're going for the interpretation of medusa being a rape victim so i wonder how they'll handle that and if they do have sally turn gabe to stone or not at the end of the series

literally I do feel like this shows going to be the thing that gets me through this next month and apparently we're getting a behind the scenes documentary at the end so that'll be fun

people on twitter seem worried that, with Prime's multiple recent cancellations, Good Omens is at risk of getting axed too. i get where the fear is coming from but honestly? i'm not too worried about it. here's why.

if Amazon cancels GO, or decides not to renew it, they'd have shot themselves in the foot and fucked themselves right over. the show is incredibly popular, and there's absolutely no way they don't know that.

last week, the Amazon Prime account ran two polls, one on Twitter and one on Instagram, about what new seasons are on top of people's watchlists. i don't have any data from the Instagram story, since those disappear, but here's the Twitter one.

38,843 votes total, with 87% being Good Omens. that's around 33,790 votes. it's a fucking ridiculous number! that's 13,700-ish more people than the capacity of the 02 bloody Arena. it's an odd comparison but I don't know about many arenas. maybe they're not all unique voters, but my point is: it's a lot of god damn people.

nobody can say "but what if they're not looking at the fandom", because this is directly on the amazon studios account.

the official Good Omens twitter account consistently gets thousands of likes on every post they make, sometimes even getting into the 10 and 20 thousands. there's no way Amazon haven't noticed popularity like that.

many of these people (like me) may only use the service for watching GO. imagine losing that many users? even if those people still use Prime for buying things, there would be so much loss when it comes to Prime Video. and how likely do you think it'd be for fans to stop using prime video altogether in protest?

drifting away from the show and into the GO franchise as a whole, the kickstarter for the graphic novel? it's record breaking.

people love GO. the book, the show, the story, the characters... they love them all deeply, and god damnit they aren't afraid to show it. amazon would be stupid to cancel it, and they probably know that, so I don't think we need to worry.

let's not forget that there's currently a strike going on. until the studios meet their writers' and actors' very much more than fair demands, I think that very little is going to happen. support the strikers, and let's all hope they get everything that they need to live and work comfortably in their professions soon.

...of course, i could be wrong. i'm not worried, but i could be. however, i stand by it that cancelling it would be a right cock-up from amazon's end.

Spent all weekend in a period catatonia doing nothing but I’m finally coming out of it. Working from home so on lunch I ran to the grocer & threw down a base layer to dry while I finish spreadsheets.
