Republicans don't give a damn what the majority wants. It's all about power and imposing their will.
Vote accordingly Ohioans when your state representative is eligible for re-election.

(via Arizona Officials Charged With Conspiring to Delay Election Results - The New York Times)
Two Republican county supervisors in Arizona were indicted Wednesday on felony charges related to their attempts to delay the certification of 2022 election results.
Kris Mayes, the state attorney general, announced in a statement that Peggy Judd and Tom Crosby, two of the three supervisors in Cochise County, face charges of interference with an election officer and conspiracy, criticizing what she described as their “repeated attempts to undermine our democracy.”
Neither Ms. Judd nor Mr. Crosby could be reached for comment Wednesday.
Last year, Ms. Judd and Mr. Crosby sought to order a hand count of the ballots that had been cast in Cochise, a heavily Republican rural county, citing conspiracy theories that had been raised by local right-wing activists. When a judge ruled against them, they voted to delay certification of the election before eventually relenting under pressure of a court order.

« Trump can’t beat Biden, but apathy just might. And the stakes are far too high to let that happen. »
— Columnist Eugene Robinson at the Washington Post. (archived)
Engagement is the opposite of apathy. Both engagement and apathy are contagious. We set the tone for people around us. Even boosting our signals can have an effect over time.
Be constant about messaging, this is a ten month project. Voters need to be continuously and creatively reminded of the stakes this year. If you don't remind them, who will?
Liberals tend to be squeamish about repetition; but repetition is the best friend of campaigners and advertisers. It doesn't matter if people you know get tired of your message as long as your message sinks in and becomes regarded as common knowledge.
Chances are that you still remember advertising jingles and slogans that you heard on TV when you were 7 or 8. That's how effective repetition is.
Ronald Reagan, no fan of the Evil Empire, was apparently fond of the Russian proverb "Доверяй, но проверяй" (Trust but verify). We should keep a different Russian proverb in mind this year: "Повторение - мать учения" (Repetition is the mother of learning).
We have it easy compared to Ukraine. They need to shoot down deadly missiles and drones Russia buys from North Korea and Iran. We only need to publicly and repeatedly shoot down MAGA bullshit and conspiracy theories while robustly firing back with our defense of democracy.
Of course things like voter registration and GOTV are still absolutely essential. But those are facilitated when there's a constant background vibe that freedom and democracy are on the line in November.

I'm tired of rebellion only being acceptable if you rebel in a politically correct fashion.
I'm tired of hate speech being acceptable as long as it's directed at the "correct group."
I'm tired of watching the church bow down to deranged elitists and corrupt government.
I'm tired of truth being manipulated.
I'm tired of cancel culture being normalized.
I'm tired of intolerance being tolerated.
I'm tired of skin color being a factor in judging and loving others.
I'm tired of equality turning into revenge.
I'm tired of gender defining identity, expectations and capability.
I'm tired of the "kill all men" twisted doctrine.
I'm tired of misogyny and chauvinism.
I'm tired of the boxes and the stereotypes...
With no space allowed to exist in between.
Let's start a proper revolution.
A revolution of love.
A revolution of proud existence, proud resistance and total disregard to what is considered "acceptable."
A revolution they can't dictate. They can't profit from. They can't control.
A revolution they can't stick in boxes of left or right or central or up or down or sideways.
Anarchy in its purest form.
Reblog if you see through the political mind manipulation games of the modern world.

We shouldn't be anxiously waiting to find out whether some women will have access to mifepristone. All women should have access to all forms of birth control and abortion. Reproductive rights shouldn't be restricted.

Real Talk:
Voting is extremely important. As American citizens, it is our civic duty to choose who should rule our country. We all have rights, and who better to give us permission to use those rights than the government? The State is so caring for the people, unless they have been voted in by the opposition, then those people are very bad. Together, we can make a difference by choosing the lesser evil. We're all in this together and your voice matters. If you don't vote, you're the selfish one when a mean President gets elected. So do everyone a solid, get out there and vote.

Here we go again. ONE MAN deciding that the VOTERS (the people) can NOT participate in democracy in their own state!
This AG just fears abortion rights will become law.
Like our now corrupt US Supreme Court, this Republican has already decided the issue on political grounds and then has used whatever fancy legal language he can find to make this blatant power grab, this slap in the face of democracy, seem legally legitimate. Which, of course it's not.
One man is thwarting the will of the people just because he can.
That is un-American. That is a fascist state. So....
Vote OUT Republicans.
They just don't give a damn about democracy or your life.
And Republicans sure as hell don't give a damn about protecting the health of women.
Women can die for all they care as long as Republicans can grab some religious theocratic votes to stay in power to pass yet more corrupt evil laws that f*ck average Americans to benefit the filthy rich.

Harry Dunn is one of the Capitol Police officers injured by the pro-Trump terrorists assaulting the US Capitol in 2021.
Dunn has retired from the force and is now running for the US House from Maryland's third district (MD-03).
In addition to Republicans being the pro-Russia party, they are also the anti-law party. By coincidence, a GOP January 6th terrorist is now running for Congress from West Virginia.
Ex-lawmaker who served time for Jan. 6 riot seeks House seat
So there you have it. Democratic vs. Republican nowadays is democracy vs. terrorism.
If you're interested in supporting pro-democracy Harry Dunn, check out his site.
