A Constituent Assembly is the means used by the privileged classes, when a dictatorship is not possible, either to prevent a revolution, or, when a revolution has already broken out, to stop its progress with the excuse of legalizing it, and to take back as much as possible of the gains that the people had made during the insurrectional period.
– Errico Malatesta, Against the Constituent Assembly as against the Dictatorship, 1930

Real Talk:
Today is December 5th 2023, the 90th year of the Repeal of Prohibition Day. That means more than 100 years ago, the government banned alcohol, all in the name of “protecting children”. But hey that's government for you, they see alcohol as the problem and point the blame on it instead of shitty parenting. Sort of makes you figure that alcohol should have never been banned in the first place.

The rich aren't the problem, the state is. Because it stops us from eating the rich

I will often hear anarchists say that their capitalist friends and coworkers actually agree with a lot of their ideas on abolishing the state so long as they avoid using terms like "anarchism" and "state". They smugly conclude that these stupid people have been brainwashed by capitalism, rather than that giving special, private definitions to words everyone else uses a different way is unnecessarily hurting their cause.

Uvalde happened BECAUSE of police
The Uvalde school shooting literally happened BECAUSE of police, who watched the shooter stroll in, then they stood outside for almost an hour, preventing parents from saving their kids and even beat them. Hope Texans now realise why people burn down police stations and smash cop cars.

It’s not surprising to see collaboration between police and right-wing vigilantes because they’re natural allies and grown out of the same cultural formation. We rarely see them clash, and, when they do, they often do it with kid gloves.
You cannot effectively pit these forces against one another because they are too entwined and have too many shared values and purposes.

Just like the situation with Russia and Ukraine, I stand with neither Israel nor Palestine. It's nothing but a political bandwagon that the majority of people hop on because government says so.
