Assorted photos with Return of the Living Dead Dolls Damien and his Series 1 counterpart. Tumblr for the love of god do not mark this with a community label-
These two dolls are spooky horror derived from a movie about demons but are not graphic or gory. Read my very detailed review and larger photoshoot with the dolls in my blog post here.

Decoded! Mezco designed a cipher themselves and emailed the key to buyers of Return Sadie. Like with that doll, the code messages are purely promotional and ironically useless to anyone who actually has the doll. The messages on Doomy's sign are are at different rotations, which tripped me up when I couldn't recognize any of the glyphs on one and realized I was looking at them upside-down! Return Sadie's secret message was on her hidden death certificate and said "FIND ME @LDD.SADIE" (not actually a real domain link as far as I know) and Bunny of Doom's sign says "GO 2 MEZCOTOYZ.COM" and "SEARCH LDD 4 ME".
Sidenote--since regular Return Eggy had no coded messages, I thought the gimmick was abandoned. Thanks for showing me it wasn't...just wish it was applied to anything more substantial.

Here's Bunny Of Doom Eggzorcist in person! She's so different from a regular LDD? I was expecting her to be bigger but she's the same 10 inches tall that the other LDDs are. She comes with some neat accessories, a security blanket, sign, bunny mask, plus her extra head and hands! She's actually articulated which is just crazy to me. Usually LDDs have only 5 points of articulation and i think this new Eggy has 10 points? Could be wrong but still it's awesome that she can actually pose. I'm still going to get the regular ROTLDD Eggy and Sadie. Not sure if I'm going to get Sin or Damien yet. Also there are some runes on the sign that I haven't figured out yet. I thought it was a neat detail. She also glows in the dark! Overall she's super cool and I feel so lucky to have her.

Message to the mod-
As a long time LDD fan seeing this blog come back from the dead (LOL) is so wonderful! I first discovered your at when I was 15 or so and it's so cool to see your growth and return!!
Thank you so much! This really makes my sweet rotten heart beat again!
I know that my art here goes kinda fast (since it would take forever to answer some asks) but LDD is something that is still with me and I'm very happy to share my love to these dolls again, even if it is in some free time
So, thank you very very much!

3, 4, and 20!
I'm putting this all under a cut because it got long. I write a few run-on sentences and tons of capitalization on the last question.
3. What is the oldest doll you own?
In terms of oldest in production, probably Hollywood (Living Dead Dolls)! Her series came out around 2005 I think? The line has been out for about two decades.
In terms of the first doll, it's She Who Walks The Night! I got her on Christmas of 2015 (I also have a bit of a story on it lol). I didn't realize it at the time but that was my first step into the doll collecting world.
4. What is the doll you got most recently?
Margot De Perla! I don't think I got any pictures of her but she's very pretty irl! The colours in her hair are cute, and she has pink and blue and purple and white. Unfortunately I think my skirt was sewn weird, but I don't care about it because I'm displaying all of the PCH kids in their bathing suits.
20. What’s a doll you were SUPER excited to get?
There's a few of them! The first was Butcher Boop from Living Dead Dolls, I saw her in the present bin while peeking and WOW. She's the variant one with green skin. You don't understand she's so ugly (affectionate). I also got Vesper (another LDD), I hadn't seen her in the bin but OH MY GOD her bat hoodie??? Her eyeliner and eyebrows??? Her hair??? I love her.
Next is Robin Sterling because YES. She was one of the only dolls left at Walmart and I paid half of her price to get her, I don't regret it either. My heart was literally pounding so hard. She was also the star of my first ever Reddit post, so many people were excited for me in the comments.
And finally is Daphne Minton!!! I had to wait a month because she was a high demand doll, but I could stand the wait because I got a coupon on her in return. The MOMENT I got her I felt like crying, she's so beautiful IRL and her hair was so soft and her EYES oh goodness. Also part of it I think is because she has a sports bra, which I wear constantly and I just really liked that. (Was also excited to get Harper because of this!)

How does Cushing's disease present? How does diagnosis usually work? And how do most clients do managing it as it progresses? When is it best treated with drugs and best left alone? Thanks a lot!
gettingvetted here.
Cushing’s Disease is an overproduction of the hormone cortisol by the adrenal glands, either due to a tumor on the adrenal gland itself or due to a tumor in the pituitary gland which stimulates the adrenal gland. Since the disease is essentially an excess of steroid, it presents like a high dose of steroid administration would: excess drinking and therefore excess urination, muscle wasting, a “pot bellied” appearance, a poor hair coat, excessive panting, and possible heart damage.
Diagnosis is typically through one of two ways. Older vets will typically use an ACTH stimulation test - this uses a stimulating hormone (ACTH) that causes the body to produce cortisol. In a normal dog, ACTH administration causes production of cortisol, but then that cortisol causes negative feedback in the brain to then decrease production of more cortisol (so the cortisol production starts low, then peaks after ACTH administration, and then decreases again). In a dog with Cushing’s, the body does not respond to that negative feedback so the cortisol level starts high, gets higher, and returns to that lower (but still high) level. Meanwhile, younger vets (including myself) will often use a low-dose dexamethasone suppression (LDDS) test. With this test we give the dog a shot of a different steroid called dexamethasone, which in a normal dog would cause cortisol levels to become very low because cortisol production is suppressed by the dexamethasone in that negative feedback loop (so the cortisol levels would start normal, get low, and return to normal). In a dog with Cushing’s, the negative feedback once again does not work so the cortisol level doesn’t change (so it would start high and stay high).
Cushing’s tends to stay pretty stable once treatment is started and is fairly easily treated these days with a proprietary drug called Vetoryl which competes with enzymes that allow cortisol production. It is never “best left alone” because of the severe side effects mentioned above.

A series of shots from the occupation of Mandalore, in the finale of The Clone Wars! Jesse and Vaughn are in the center, while 501st patrol around.
I’m really happy with how the Ahsoka-painted helmets turned out; they look believably messy, like they were painted with little warning when the 501st found out she was returning! Vaughn’s visor aligned really well -- it’s weird to try to create LEGO pieces that work for this from scratch.
Mandalore is such a fascinating location to work with, since it has such a distinctive Art-Deco look that is really satisfying to capture in LEGO. The geometric shapes work out so well.
Built in LDD. Rendered in Stud.io. All textures designed by me in Adobe Illustrator.

@heartsyhawk tagged me to give me top 10 favourite movies. Luckily, I already compiled a list of them a while back, so getting them wasn’t so hard. Writing about why they’re my favourites, on the other hand, was a bit harder, so forgive me if I only give brief thoughts on any.
With the exception of the #1 pick, may change somewhat from time to time.
Let the Right One In (2008): I remember first seeing the DVD for Let the Right One In at a local HMV (which has now shut down), and the review quote on it compared it to Twilight. Being in the middle of my “Twilight sucks and I hate everything about it” phase, I’m legitimately surprised I picked it up, but damn am I glad I did, because I love this movie! It’s gorgeous, its story is great, and I make sure to watch it at least once a year! I read the book very shortly afterwards, and loved it just as much! Wish I could say the same for the American remake, but unfortunately, it’s nowhere near as good (mostly because it completely misses the point of the story)
Halloween (1978)/Jaws (1975): I can’t pick between these two, so they both get the #2 spot! I’ve been lucky enough to see both of these movies in the cinema in special events, and it was well worth it!
Aliens (1986): Honestly, this is where the Aliens franchise ends for me. It’s a fine ending to the story, and I do love me a good genre shift. ALso, Newt is one of the first characters I ever felt protective of, which has since blossomed into full-on paternal “Protect All The Babies!” feelings.
The Empire Strikes Back (1980): Always loved Star Wars, and Empire is my favourite of them. Interestingly enough, the first time I ever saw Star Wars was when I was round at a friend’s house and watched the first five minutes of Return of the Jedi towards the end of the visit. I then saw Phantom Menace in the cinema, loved it (before later deciding I hated it for years, and have recently come back around to liking it), and consumed everything Star Wars I could. Star Wars was my first fandom, I think, and will always have a special place in my life.
Jurassic Park (1993): When I was five or six, my dad had rented Jurassic Park while I was home sick. I was so tired that I actually fell asleep during the opening scene. Once I got to see the movie in full, though, I really fell in love with it, and that’s what began my love of dinosaurs, and I’m even one of the few people who like both Lost World and JP3. World I’m a bit more lukewarm about, and I’m not a fan of Fallen Kingdom, but even then, I’ve not been able to outright hate a Jurassic Park movie thus far.
Terminator II: Judgment Day (1991): I actually saw this one before I saw the first, and yeah, it’s still a movie I revisit when I can. Like with Aliens, I also see it as the end of the Terminator franchise, as the only thing I’ve liked from the franchise since then has been Sarah Connor Chronicles, and I just treat that as a fun “What if?” story.
The Breakfast Club (1985): Hoo boy, this movie. I understand that there’s some problems in it (Bender’s treatment of Claire and the casual homophobia are the biggest), but dammit, everything else in it I love. I saw this at exactly the right time in my life, when I was still in high school and being horrifically bullied, so it was a nice little “it’s cool that you’re different” takeaway that didn’t come across as corny. Also, the soundtrack is an absolute banger. Of course, the whole “Allison changes for Andrew” thing at the end rubbed me the wrong way, but I try to kind of ignore that :P
The Incredibles (2004): One of the best superhero movies out there. Violet and Edna remain my favourites, and it’s one of those movies that I spot more stuff about each time I watch it!
Casper (1995): Aah yes, Casper. I was obsessed with this movie when I was a kid, and it still remains a favourite. Also, I will defend the “Can I keep you?” line to the death (it’s not creepy in context).
The Secret Garden (1993): I think this was one of, if not the first movie that I remember thinking was beautiful, and that holds up. It’s also a movie that never fails to make me tear up. Plus, Mary/Dickon was an OTP before I knew about shipping.
Some runners up:
Batman: The Mask of the Phantasm (1993): This is the best Batman movie and I will fight anyone on that.
The Final Girls (2015): Another movie that makes me cry when I watch it. This could have so easily been just a typical by-the-numbers horror parody, but they made it so much more than that and I love it for that.
Bridge to Terabithia (2007): I remember being in a massive state of denial about the last third of this movie for such a long time (and I’ll not lie, I still sometimes go into that place). I also ran a forum RP of it that was essentially an interactive LDD fic. Still pretty proud of it, if I’m honest.
Muppet Treasure Island (1996): Aaah, the movie that kickstarted my love of pirates and Tim Curry. It’s also got a kickass soundtrack and is just one of the better adaptations of the story (same with Muppet Christmas Carol, actually).
Gold Diggers: The Secret of Bear Mountain (1995): My friends had The Goonies. I had this. I recently rewatched it and remembered how much I loved it. I remember going through a phase where I had quite the crush on Christina Ricci, and this movie was one that I watched because of that, and I’m glad I did. Also kind of ironic, given that Jody and Beth are very clearly baby gays.
So, time to tag some people!
@dalekofchaos, @zexththelordoftime, @haltraveler, @whencartoonsruletheworld
No obligation to do this, of course, but if you do, please tag me, ‘cause I’d love to see your picks!

got any dom!nick headcanons to share? 😈 show canon or au!
…Why yes. Yes I do.
Nick is “a switch.” Someone who can assume and enjoy the dominant or submissive role.
We see this play out in the bedroom in 1x5 and 2x2. They trade power and dominance effortlessly.
We similarly see this play out with his behavior in Gilead. He is able to act the role of subservient chauffeur, all the while plotting, scheming, and staying ahead of the game. Dominant is defined as: “most important, powerful, or influential.” His character is fascinating because he switches between subservient and dominant behaviors throughout the story.
Nick doesn’t let his dominant side control him often. It has to be provoked. Think of the fight in the flashback to the Michigan unemployment line. A man much bigger than him talked shit and Nick displayed physical dominance. Shoving him, standing his ground. Welcoming a fight. Knowing he’d win.
Nick finally had his outwardly visible moment of dominance in Gilead when he held Fred captive at gunpoint and allowed June to escape with Holly at the end of S1. That was an indisputable physical show of dominance. The look on Fred’s face is priceless when he realizes that Nick is, in that moment, the alpha male of the house, defending his child.
—————————–
In cannon, June is a sex slave who has suffered rape, along with physical and emotional abuse.
Cannon Nick is acutely aware of this. And he gives June what she needs most- agency over her body. Letting her top him, or giving it to her hard if that’s what she wants.
But in cannon you’ll notice Nick never dominates June unless she asks him too. (for example by biting him really hard or pulling his hair). It makes sense. He will give her whatever she wants. But he has to be very, very sure that she is in control at all times.
————————–
In AU they wouldn’t have a sexual trauma history. So I bet they would play more.
Nick’s kink is giving women what they want. If his partner wanted simple vanilla missionary sex, he’d make it really tantric and pleasurable. If his partner wants to be dominated, he is happy to oblige.
AU Nick is NOT into:
-Impact Play
-Humiliation
-Asphyxiation
-LDD / dominance outside the bedroom
-Anal
AU Nick IS into:
-Restraints, Shibari, Blindfolds
-Praise Kink, Dirty Talk
-Eating the pussy
-Giving multiple orgasms to his partner before he lets them touch him
-Orgasm Denial
June likes bringing out his wild side. She likes touching him, arousing him in public- when there’s nothing he can do about it- knowing it will make their evening more exciting. They both like all day erotic slow burns.
June loves sending Nick naughty texts while he’s at work. On days like that, June will return home to restraints and sex toys laid out on the bed. Nick will tie her up, hands above her head to the bedpost, Legs held open with a spreader bar. He’ll go down on her for hours. Taking his time with a feather light touches and his silken mouth. Until she’s a begging shivering mess. Then he’ll fuck her slowly until she comes multiple times.
Nick is into fucking June in semi public places. The thrill of wondering if they’ll get caught heightens the passion.
Nick thinks about June constantly. While they’re fucking, he makes her tell him her fantasies. He takes these very seriously and replicates them for her. He gives her everything she ever wanted.
