In reverse Husbandry, Sanguinius and Vulkan are now the daycare centers whenever a Space Marine needs to leave their young, kid or teen, human with a trusted primarch. Both Primarchs learn why glitter is the herpes of the craft world when the human kids start doing art and crafts to pass time. Their Flagships never looked the same again.
"Malcador this is why I want to ban glitter." The Emperor says walking over to Sanguinius.
"I literally see nothing wrong." The smaller man says looking up at his friend hold up a finger.
"Sanguinius... shake."
They watch the winged primarch spread his wings and shake as a small cloud of glitter seems to rain down from his wings and hair. Malcador was so use to Sanguinius being in his glittering armor he didn't question why his hair and wings seemed to glitter.
"This still seems like a silly reason to ban it."
"Fuck Mal I don't know something about microplastics I guess?" The Emperor said exasperatedly which Malcador chuckled at.

Gabriel had started teaching his human gothic, oh how quick she is to pick it up! Sure her pronunciation is still a bit off and sentence structure needs work, but other than that she has no issues understanding what's being said around her. Oh and how could he deny her love for reading? His brothers are teasing him that his human is more well read than him. So what if she is? It just shows what a brilliant person his sweet human is.
He coos when he returns to his quarters to find his human wrapped up under blankets and nestled among pillows with a book in hand. She's doing better today, the fever seems to have subsided though she's coughing now and then. It's still good to see her regain some of her strength. Getting her food that she could handle was a bit of a struggle, given how her stomach can easily be considered highly sensitive compared to those of the baseline crew alone.
He never thought he would be glad he learnt to cook back on ancient Terra. It was more of a convivence and later on a fun task when he moved into his human's house. He chirps curiously to his human as he glances at the contents of the book in her hands. Something on xenos? He nuzzles her, is she worried about xenos? There's nothing to fear. He'll sooner die than see any harm befall her.

𝕬𝖚𝖙𝖍𝖔𝖗: A starting snippet.
Inspired by @kit-williams and the Barn Anon.
TW // Violence, one curse.
Tumblr media
“Not only have you been a nuisance, but you’ve have also killed my bother.” He snapped. Brown, furious eyes narrowing down at me while his hands harshly dug through his vest. Velcro ripping through the sounds of battle.
Dropping my head back, I hit my head against the cement foundation I’ve been pinned upon. A hot sting shooting down my spine as I swallowed my own blood back down my burning throat.
Having met and killed many men. This guy would have to be more specific for me to remember him or his brother. That is, if I didn’t run out of blood first.
“My brother, god damn it!” The man bellowed, spit flying out of his mouth while he stomped over. Kneeling down to my level, and taking a handful of my hair in his hand. Pulling me painfully closer to his battle-dirtied face. His nasty breath fanning against my face as the pole stuck in my shoulder shifted, causing the impalement to pulse with heat.
“I guess, I should do something about that now? Shouldn’t I?” He almost purred, pulling up a dagger next to my eye. It’s steel reflecting against the suns clouded light, making me wince at the suddenness. His grip on my hair aggressively, pulling me back to face him as I ended up coughing up blood in his face.
“What was that saying again?” The man questioned noone in particular. Threatening, pointing the blade inward in my face while I held his flamed gaze.
If I died today. I will not die without looking into this guys vengeful soul.
“Oh yeah! An eye for an eye!” He cracked before slashing up at my eye. The quickness of him having me stunned for a moment. Half my vision going completely dark.
A hoarse, quiet cry left my mouth before I even knew what was going on. My free hand subconsciously trying to grip, and push away the blade that dug back down into my eye. Fresh blood running down side of my face as I could taste it on my blood-filled tounge. Body thrashing within the pinned hold of the pole through my shoulder.
My god, does it burn. Everything felt like it was on fire. Was this what the pits of hell felt like?
With my heart beating in my ears, I could barely hear the vile tone of the man saying “Today, is the day you fall, you b*tch.”
Then, there was nothing. No burning, no sting, no pain. Just the bright, golden blurr above me.
I couldn’t feel how quickly the pole was removed from my shoulder. I couldn’t feel how the golden blurr picked me up. I couldn’t even feel how warm it gotten within its embrace. I was just simply too tired to stay awake.
Just… A little nap won’t hurt, would it? Just a little one.
I couldn’t even feel the frantic movements of the golden blurr running for a medic.

“I’m not meant to be here… I’m not meant to be this! Whatever this is!” Lenora trembled with effort against the binding tendrils from his back. Her rational mind warred with the desire to hurt, to lash out against her captor, to see blood, be it his or her own. But she didn’t want to hurt Erriox, didn’t he say that he was trying to help her survive in his world. Right? They had been bonded for such a long time, he knew how much trust she placed in him. Why would he turn her into this creature? This abomination? She could hear the whispers cackling, amplifying her despair and anger.
She dug her claws into her own palms in effort to stay her hand from instinctively breaking free and take a swipe at him. Blood ran down her palms, staining the stone slab she was pinned on. The pain providing temporary horrifying clarity. Lenora broke down. Those feelings and desire for violence were so confusing. That was not her nature! This feels all wrong! This body! This voice! It’s not hers! She wanted to curl into herself, but Erriox’s weight bearing down on her body prevented her from doing so. “I can’t be.. I’m not…!”
Her tearful babble was cut off by the warpsmith’s forceful kiss, “You are mine. Our bond is iron. You are meant to be with me.” He growled fiercely.

Author’s Note: A short angsty piece from Chaos warpsmith Erriox/Lenora reverse husbandry AU from space marine husbandry sentience tag. I needed to get this out before I forgot.
This is only waking up and discovering that she’s become this thing… this creature… and doesn’t even touch when Lenora finds out that she is bound to Erriox like a demon to its master.

A warning to future human keepers
Humans are very difficult to keep as pets because a lot aren't too keen on being a "pet". They seem to much prefer being treated like a roommate, although many that I have brought into my home don't seem to mind being a stay-at-home roommate. Some do mind though, and you should let them work a job. You cannot treat humans like other animals because they are a very intelligent species and will demand the same amount of respect out of you as we (atleast the more social of us) would give to our fellow clowns.

Could you explain more about pyramiding in tortoise shells?
Totally!
Pyramiding refers to excessive and often uneven growth on the scutes of turtle shells. It can happen on all turtles, but it's most common in tortoises.
A healthy tortoise's shell will look like this. All the scutes will look uniform and smooth. The shell looks almost round.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A shell showing pyramiding will look very bumpy and uneven, with the scutes raising up into a tell-tell pyramid shape. Cases can range from mild to so extreme the tortoise can't even walk.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pyramiding is most often caused by inappropriate husbandry during a tortoise's growth periods, resulting in uneven or excessive scute growth.
The most common causes of pyramiding are:
Overfeeding
Poor nutrition (excess protein and excess fat are common issues)
Not enough UVB and/or calcium
Too-small enclosures limiting ability to exercise
Genetic causes can contribute to pyramiding, but 99 times out of 100 it's caused by husbandry issues. Pyramiding cannot be reversed, so seeing a tortoise with it isn't automatically a red flag because they could have changed owners or husbandry could have improved, but when you see it combined with poor husbandry, you can be very confident something's up.

Jack Trice: Jack Trice Stadium
African American players were often forced to endure unusually rough play. One of the best known examples of this, Jack Trice, was the first African American to play football at Iowa State University (then Iowa State College). Trice joined the team in 1923. Iowa State’s first three opponents that year refused to play the game if Trice was on the field and so he sat out these games. Trice’s first game was against the University of Minnesota and he died as a result of injuries sustained in that game. The stadium at Iowa State was named in Trice’s honor in 1997, 74 years after his death.
Trice was born in Hiram, Ohio in 1902, the son of a former slave and Buffalo Soldier, Green Trice. As a child, Trice was active in sports and demonstrated outstanding athletic skills. In 1918, Trice’s mother sent him to Cleveland, Ohio to live with an uncle. Trice attended East Technical High School where he played football. In 1922, Trice followed five of his teammates, as well as his former high school coach, Sam Willaman, to Iowa State College in Ames, Iowa.
While attending Iowa State, Trice participated in track and football (primarily as a tackle). He majored in animal husbandry, with the desire to go to the South after graduation, and use his knowledge to help African-American farmers. His dream job was to eventually teach Southern black farmers about modern farming. In the summer after his freshman year at the age of 20, Trice married Cora Mae Starland, who was only 15. They both found jobs in order to support themselves through school. Trice also was a member of Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity, and initiated through the Alpha Nu chapter (Drake & Iowa State University).
On October 5, 1923, the night before his second college football game, Trice wrote the following in a letter on stationery at a racially segregated hotel in Minneapolis/St. Paul (the letter was later found in Trice's suit just before his funeral): Trice died due to injuries suffered during a college football game against the University of Minnesota on October 6, 1923.
(Letter)
"My thoughts just before the first real college game of my life: The honor of my race, family & self is at stake. Everyone is expecting me to do big things. I will. My whole body and soul are to be thrown recklessly about the field tomorrow. Every time the ball is snapped, I will be trying to do more than my part. On all defensive plays I must break through the opponents' line and stop the play in their territory. Beware of mass interference. Fight low, with your eyes open and toward the play. Watch out for crossbucks and reverse end runs. Be on your toes every minute if you expect to make good. Jack "

30 days of Harvest Moon day 22 - favorite pet
this is one i drew in advance… my favorite pet is the dog! i always pick the floppy eared dog in anwl… i have a theory that it’s still the same dog 100 years later in DS/cute, and this is why he’s able to kill a lifeform like Thomas in HMDS
the AnWL guidebook has a section about rock’s affection raising from animal husbandry, especially from snuggling your animals… rock’s guide recommends taking advantage of this by snuggling EVERY 3 HOURS and also advises that there’s no limit to how much snuggling you can do. i think that’s extremely fucking cute so i drew yet another silly rock doodle
so if you were ever on track to get marlin or gustafa’s reverse proposal, but instead rock’s uninvited ass showed up declaring his undying lack of shakespearean reading comprehension… rock’s animal snuggling bonus affection might be to blame

Our Daily Homily by F.B. Meyer

"What could have been done more to my vineyard, that I have not done in it?" — Isaiah 5:4
This is what the Owner of all souls will say of his dealings with each when the discipline and husbandry of time are over. Each of us is God’s vineyard, and for each God has done the beat possible. At the end of all things God will have no reason to feel that had He adopted some other method, the barren waste of some heart would have brought forth fruit. It will be seen then, Omniscience itself being witness, that every soul of man had the chance of becoming a fruitful vineyard; and if he became the reverse, it was due to no failure in either the wisdom or grace of God.
It is hard to believe this, hard to think that you would not have done better in some other circumstances; but it is nevertheless true that God could not have done better or more. He has trenched for water, gathered out stones which had hindered your fruitfulness, and planted you with slips from the True Vine. There has been the tower of his protection, and the wine-press of suffering! Ah, how eagerly He has looked that you should bring forth grapes! The pity of it is that there has been nothing but the wild growth of nature! But God cannot take the blame for this. He could not have done more than He has done. Alas that we should have so often thwarted Him!
"When I looked." "The Father seeketh," our Savior said. He comes down the garden path full often, seeking from us the fruits of the Spirit, the grace of prayer and supplication, the plants of his delight. "Let us see," He says, "whether the vine hath budded, and its blossom be opened, and the pomegranates be in flower." Too often it is as when Jesus looked for figs—there was nothing but leaves!

Barn Anon. Been occupied painting my uh, not so mini, mini. Either ways, decided to give Gaius the reverse husbandry treatment. Ngl this is caffeine fueled word dump so. I think it flows okay?
Gaius keeps his human wrapped up in his arms as he ushers her towards the Salamanders. He curses whatever gods there might be that thought to punish him by sending him and his human back to his world. She's not like him! She's weak, fragile, untouched, untainted by the cruelty and horrors of his world.
Keeping her safe and away from his fellow World Eaters was a challenge, let alone his own Primarch. If he weren't one of the more renown warriors, he knows she probably wouldn't have been left alone this long. Still for all the fondness he has for his brothers and his genefather, he knows she would never be able to sleep without fear for as long as she's around them. Oh he's not an idiot, those damn Nails would sooner or later turn them all into mad war beasts. He had thought of ways to flee, to ensure her safety away from his Legion. Then it seems that fate wanted to make it up to them, for whatever reason the World Eaters and the Salamanders would be meeting up briefly.
Gaius cares little for the details, only for the fact that Salamanders and their Primarch are known for their care towards civilians. He had laughed and joked about this weakness of theirs to his fellow brothers in the past. Yet now it is this so-called weakness that might ensure his human's survival. He can see how the Salamanders on duty grip their weapons tighter at the sight of him, it is only his human clinging onto him that keeps them from aiming at him. He doesn't blame them, he knows his own reputation.
He swallows his pride and pleads his case, asking, begging for them to let the two of them go with them. At least take his human! She's not safe with his own legion. He breathes a sigh of relief when one of the Salamanders tells them to follow him. Gaius knows that he can't go back after this, his Primarch and brothers would never forgive him, but if it ensures his human's safety... that's all he needs.
She was feverish... Gaius had done all he could do to warn about what was going to happen. The legions were all in chaos as he wasn't the only one to refute what was going to happen... and while father and the Emperor were listening... he still pulled away fearful of what was still going to happen.
She smiles up at him as he mutters some old lullaby as she clings to him for warmth yet she sweats profusely. Its not a hard secret to find out as he glances around at the quarters he was provided. He heard that for the most part it was World Eaters and Night Lords trying to get their bonded away from their primarchs, Perturabo was apparently indifferent for the most part.
He's heard that the Night Lord's primarch is reacting poorly to these humans. Actually... few primarchs are reacting well... Vulkan is helping... Sanguinius is also sheltering... Magnus is curious... Gaius watched the door open as a serf start to tend to his bonded as he tiredly talks to the Salamander that follows in finally getting his story told and listened to as it will be brought to the growing list of others. The Crusade is in an odd place right now... a strange pause as the sudden and wild warp fluctuations... dead brothers are back... new brothers appear... all with humans forcing the Emperor to call his sons and Astartes back to Terra.

What are your little dinosaurs quirks? When I got my tiel, I was told they would only bond with another person or bird and not multiple. However, she is the biggest cuddle bug to everyone in my family (except for my sibling’s hands specifically)
Also my dad didn’t like birds when I first got her, guess who wants another dinosaur in the house now
Oh we have a tiel like that too! Minerva is just the friendliest bird on the planet. He seriously fears no one and no thing. Everyone is his friend! It's the cutest thing
Ahsoka (another tiel, Minerva's partner) is our guard bird. Like, he is always on watch, making sure all of us are OK. It's funny, because I don't know what he would do if there was like a burgler, but it's sweet
Ellie (green cheek) is just... a bird that thinks she's a person. She always wants the human food, she participates in Jewish rituals, she talks more than any of the others and it makes sense, she understands human tone to a scary degree... it's awesome
Aurora (hybrid conure) is pretty normal, all things considered, but she's very sweet and gentle. She's also patient when it comes to cockatiel antics.
Willis (nanday, Aurora's partner) is... a Grump. The Biggest Grump on the Planet. Like, he's not mean, exactly, he just is the reverse of Minerva and trusts no one, not even himself. It's entertaining, if a bit of a challenge for husbandry
