Multifandom Madness is an 18+ RP server that has migrated from Discord to revolt.chat! A Discord alternative that provides the same experience without the privacy concerns, subscriptions, or unwanted ads. We have bots, we have OOC channels, we have verification roles, and we have NSFW channels!

Canon characters only, but doubles are allowed! AUs are welcome! Headcanons are embraced!

Don't know who to choose from? Feel free to hang out until you've made your choice in our Blorbo Appreciation zone! We also have channels for memes, music, and other misc discussion.

"But what about Tupperbox" I hear you say. We have a functioning alternative that provides the same straightforward experience! If you're new to revolt, worry not! We have a bot playground channel where you can learn the ins and outs of our synthetic assistants.

The lore is simple. You have somehow (willingly, not willingly, the specifics are yours to decide) arrived at a hub area of overlapping universes across time and space. Anything could happen in this crazy town! You character is free to come and go as they please. Just make sure you're on your best behaviour! Or not... >:)

Discord Alternatives: Revolt, Matrix (Element)

A friend and I spend a good chunk of the past week looking into Discord alternatives because of Discord speeding up towards enshittification.

We looked into two popular alternatives, Revolt and Matrix/Element, and wanted to share what we found from a non-techie Discord user's perspective. We put our findings here along with articles going into detail about Discord's increasing decline. Feel free to reach out if you find typos, broken links, or outright mistakes!

Personally I've started moving my community to Revolt because it's a better fit for my community, but I will be keeping my Matrix account in case other Discord communities decide to move over there. Depending on what your Discord server needs and techie levels, both can be good alternatives. Neither are outright replacements and both are undergoing development, so both options should continue to improve in the future.

Its like an alternative to discord and omg, its so much better, but I could only find 1 plural server.

Im trying to slowly leave discord cause of the ai thing + revolt has some shit discord makes you pay for free.

So I'm pretty sure we know that discords CEO is stepping down and is getting a new CEO (tbh if this is the first time hearing that dw it was mine too) So, a server that I'm in recommend that we could go to revolt.chat (login link, there is an opinion to sign up if needed) as a substitute if the app goes to paid subscription after the new CEO comes in

Revolt's more functional on PC than mobile. The lack of mods is going to be a pain point for fandom transition (https://rvlt.gg/discover/bots has very, very few). There's no writing sprint mods. I could customize a server similar to Discord, but the UI is a little less intuitive, generally, for server setup (e.g. I could create channels in the server settings but not rename them there; I had to rename in the channel settings). It definitely had potential.

Remember when I told ya'll last month to be ready to start looking for a Discord alternative?

after considering some of the most interesting alternatives, i've decided that i will make a revolt account as an alternative to discord. i will keep my discord acount until enshittification starts driving people away. admittedly, i dont have high hopes of that happening, but we'll see.

Since discord added ai art shit officially to their features i have downloaded revolt chat and while the app is bad rn due to it being in early access i quite like the website app it works great on mobile and probably even better on pc.

Also you can use custom emojis for free. You hear that emoji community? You can use custom emojis for free.

Plus you dont have to entirely abandon discord right away as their are ways to easily bridge your servers with revolt and discord, cross platform conversations .
