Alright bitches get ready. This song is the culmination of the entire musical. What was already a soundtrack chock full of leitmotifs comes to fruition in this BANGER with so many callbacks. The harmonies. The RANGE on Bruce. It slaps so hard and the wordplay lives in my head rent freeeeeeeee
Sweet Transvestite
It’s so!!!!!!!!!!!!
It’s hot, it’s queer, I am so into frank it’s unreal
Hot take on the new Matilda film, unpopular opinion, but.... Matilda dad? Smash. Matildas mom? Smash. I would let that man sell me a shitty car, and so much more....
It's so incredible how hard the child actors in the Matilda musical worked ESPECIALLY in Revolting Children, the singing and choreography was so amazing and all the kids were so unbelievably good at what they were doing, like acrobats and breakdancing and so many other things going on in the background. And the main choreography was so amazing and impressive that so many older and younger kids were so in sync with the fast paced choreography especially considering all the sharp movements, jumps and claps that we're all so in sync. It's also really cool how the song was barely focused on Matilda, who was also acted so well, the song was about all the kids in the school revolting and it was so amazing to see this song focus on the other child actors hard work and they all deserve so much credit for this movie it was amazing.
Ok ok, hear me out on this one, but, Xander from despair time. Revolting children from Matilda the musical. Xander from despair time AND Revolting Children from Matilda the musical!! 🤩
please forgive my theater kid ass for this, but I had to do it.
so we had our last tech rehearsal before Matilda opens at my school.
I play trunchbull, and I have terrible, awful, really really bad self esteem (if you want to make the team you don’t need happiness or self esteem)
we did a cue to cue (the show is double cast, so that was complicated),
people made fun of my singing voice TO MY FACE several times,
One of the guys that plays Eric took a picture of my feet when I was changing out of my costume even tho I explicitly told him not to,
I cried twice,
i had to run the newt scene (Matilda fans, you know what I mean) TWICE,
people always make fun of me for the newt scene and the final scene that im in, this time was just worse,
I have to scream “there’s a newt in my knickers” several times, and that sounds like a slur, and my cast mates always bring it up, and idk why but I just feel like a terrible person because it sounds similar,
after all that, I went to the director and told her about the feet pics and the being made fun of and how I wanted to drop out of the show,
she said some stuff that was really encouraging and made me feel better (I’m not dropping out of the show),
then she scolded the dude that took the pics of me,
then I came home and ate some good food,
then I started watching the first part of Sunday in the Park With George,
then I started thinking about ART and I DONT PAINT FOR YOUR APPROVAL
so now I guess I’m just gonna eat some food, practice my solos again and sleep
Traced abit of the 'Revolting children' dance from the new Matilda: the musical bc I have oddly always loved Matilda: the musical, especially Revolting children :3
Might make it a proper animation instead of just a skeleton? 👀
She's the queen of the castle, get down you dirty rascals!
