I’m not trying to be mean but why did you change their last name? I know the fandom researched it and it’s known as a “fake name” but it’s a real Japanese name, just rare. No matter the era it’ll still exist, just in rare instances.

I really hope this doesn't come across as mean or super conceited or anything cause I am not an expert, but I have done a ton of research for this au and I want to make it as accurate as possible! I'm not upset or anything either I just want to be extremely clear about.

Okay I wanted to answer this with as much research as possible, because although you are technically right ( there are 100 households in Japan with the surname Hamato as of 1997)

There are other things to consider for this au, such as it being set in the 30s/40s as well as how old Yoshi's family is. Since his family goes back several generations, it'd make sense for him to have an older, more common name. Hamamoto still isn't extremely common, but it's significantly more common than Hamato.

The other thing is that a few points kept popping up when doing research and they are

1- these two surnames mean almost the exact same thing

2- When TMNT was aired in Japan for the first time, they specifically changed the Japanese names to more realistic ones.

3- The creators of TMNT have said that they just made the names up.

I will say also that in that 1997 Japanese National Census, they have a note that explains for the reader to be cautious of nicknames/pen names/stage names because people can and will put those names rather than their birth names/actually surnames, so there's no way to know for sure about those 100 households ( maybe more since its been several years but still)

So basically I changed it because I wanted it to more accurate to the language and the era in which the au takes place. I'm not saying this is all 100% certain as far as my research goes, I've done my best and this was the conclusion I came up with.

And again I'm not Japanese myself, so all my information comes from research and what I have learned of the language.

PJ alerta que burlões estão a usar unidade da instituição para exigir dinheiro

A Polícia Judiciária (PJ) alertou hoje que o nome da sua Unidade de Informação Financeira está a ser usado numa nova burla, em que é falsamente exigido ao visado dinheiro para descongelar contas supostamente bloqueadas pelas autoridades.

Em comunicado, a PJ refere que os burlões, utilizando a Unidade de Informação Financeira, enviam cartas e documentação falsas "a anunciar alegadas dívidas fiscais, bloqueio de contas bancárias e pedidos de pagamento".

De acordo com um exemplar da missiva publicado no site da PJ, a carta, em português, começa por invocar um artigo do Regime Geral das Infrações Tributárias (RGIT) para indicar que os fundos do visado foram apreendidos, na sequência de uma investigação da Unidade de Informação Financeira.

Em seguida, indica que os montantes foram transferidos para contas da Autoridade Tributária e Aduaneira (AT), nos termos de um artigo do Código de Procedimento e de Processo Tributário, recomendando por fim a regularização da situação para pôr fim ao bloqueio e evitar sanções penais.

Segundo a PJ, quem receber um contacto similar não deve facultar os dados pessoais nem seguir qualquer instrução.

"A remessa de tais missivas ou comunicações constitui um crime, devendo o seu recebimento ser denunciado à Polícia Judiciária para efeitos de apuramento de responsabilidade criminal dos autores", apela a PJ.

A Unidade de Informação Financeira é, lê-se no site da PJ, "a unidade central com competência para receber, analisar e difundir a informação suspeita de branqueamento ou de financiamento de terrorismo" e, segundo a nota de hoje, "não apreende fundos, nem solicita o seu desbloqueio mediante pagamento".

Peach stuff tasted very very very very good. this coing from a persn who hates taste of booze cause I can;t smeel most of the goos stuff so it's all paint thinner. The blackberry brandy is ok. As you can tell. Csue i've drank so mucjh. (cause it's ok or becase of herodtary weakness to alcoholness? I need to fugure outa limit. YIKES. This is about as drunk as I've ever been.)

I cannot be trusted with bottles of alcohol, I think this and the plum wine demonstrates. I don't think you're supposed to drink a half liter of brandy in 3 and a half hours. Makes sense, with my family history. I got too comfy with the controlled servings from the peach booze. Oops.

GNR apreendeu mais de 70 mil litros de bebidas alcoólicas em Viseu

A Unidade de Acção Fiscal (UAF), através do Destacamento de Acção Fiscal (DAF) do Porto, no dia 23 de janeiro, apreendeu 71 755 litros de vinho licoroso produzido e introduzido no consumo de forma ilegal, no distrito de Viseu.

No âmbito de uma ação de fiscalização e controlo direcionado para a deteção de infrações relacionadas com a produção, armazenamento e comercialização de bebidas sujeitas a imposto especial de consumo, os militares da Guarda detetaram numa propriedade agrícola, 70 mil litros de bebidas alcoólicas acondicionadas em pipas de madeira, cubas de inox e garrafões, ou seja, que se encontravam armazenadas em locais não autorizados pela autoridade aduaneira competente, motivo que levou à sua apreensão.

O valor comercial das bebidas apreendidas ascende a 430 mil euros, sendo que a sua comercialização no mercado paralelo teria causado um dano ao Estado de cerca de 63 mil euros em sede de Imposto sobre o Álcool, as Bebidas Alcoólicas e as bebidas adicionadas de açúcar ou outros edulcorantes (IABA).

Da ação resultou ainda a identificação de um homem de 40 anos.

Os factos que constituem um crime por introdução fraudulenta no consumo, previsto no Regime Geral das Infrações Tributárias (RGIT), foram comunicados ao Ministério Público de Moimenta da Beira.

A ação contou com a colaboração do Instituto dos Vinhos do Douro e do Porto (IVDP).
